I actually visited this store today to purchase my 5th Chanel item since I’m visiting Hawaii. When we arrived we were made to wait outside in the extreme heat because 1 couple was in the store. We waited for about 15 minutes and then we left. Not only because of the heat but because I strongly feel that if we were not black we would’ve been allowed inside the store. There are no signs posted that say how many people are allowed in the store at once, instead they have a sign that says they have the right to restrict or limit people from entering. Which basically gives them the right to discriminate. I passed the store all day long as my husband and I were touring up and down that street since 9 am and never once did I see anyone standing outside waiting. What sense does it make to keep patrons from entering the store when only 2 other bodies were inside shopping instead of allowing them to wait inside the entryway?! I believe with everything in me that the reason was because of our skin color. The joke is on them because they lost money today. We went next door to Gucci and we were allowed inside and told to browse until an advisor was available. Only shop this location if you’re white or Asian so you won’t be discriminated against.

A lot wrong with this store. As many other reviewers said, they arbitrarily make you wait in line to create the look of demand. (And for some I am sure it is out of discrimination) front door guy told me I had to wait for a sales associate and I could see a free one standing right by the door behind him. As soon as the door was closed they opened it up and said one just became available. (No she and another one were clearly available the whole time) Then the sales associate was just rude. An entitled, condescending, judgmental attitude. (Ma’am you are attempting to sale ME an item so you can make money, now is not the time to act entitled and better than everyone.) She was completely unwilling to help. I had 3 pairs of shoes I came to try on and she acted beyond put out that I would ask her to try them on or pull a different size. She acted annoyed, checked her phone, and would not ask me how the shoes were or try and pull others I may be interested in. Also inventory is atrocious here. Very limited shoe stock. Minimal bags. Take your money to one of the other amazing stores nearby and enjoy their service and products more. I did and was happy to be with a store associate at Dior who was happy to make my experience a fun and enjoyable one.

Poor customer service. The sales rep that accompanied us was rude and snobbish. I was interested in jewelries and asked to try on a few pieces from the fine jewelry section. He kept reminding us the price even if we didn't ask when I tried them on, and I overheard him complaining/laughing with his co-worker that we didn't end up buying the expensive one. We felt really offended. Btw he has black hair wearing a yellow gold Coco crush earring. I would not recommend this rep.

Rude sales associate (an older, asian lady) always ruins everything. When I walked into the store I saw that there was a Chanel classic bag available in the color and size I wanted, so I asked her if there was a new one in the back because I thought the one out was for display. (Some Chanel stores will have a high demand bag like the Classic in display out for customers to view only and not purchase) Then she asked me “Are you going to buy?” Her tone was very condescending which offended me right away. So if I am not going to purchase the bag on the spot, I shouldn’t even be interested? Afterwards I had no intentions of purchasing anything through her so I walked around the store for a little bit, then left. Sales associates need to stop thinking that they have some kind of superiority over the customers who are interested in BUYING their products, when they are the ones who need to SELL.

If you must go to this store, stay away from the obnoxious female Korean salesperson. I speak English fluently and without an accent, but when I asked her about the availability of a specific product, she claimed to be unable to hear what I was saying. In comparison to the other boutiques I visited throughout my week in Oahu, her manner of speaking to me thereafter was egregiously unpleasant. It's no surprise that the store was completely empty, given that neighbouring stores such as Hermes and Gucci had long lines out the door - and their service was excellent.

The elderly lady who was my sales associate looked like she really didn't want to help me. She kept checking her phone. I had to ask questions multiple times to squeeze the answer out of her reluctant stature. When I asked how to get the classic flap bag, she acted all superior with the air of "if you had to ask then it's probably not for you". The falsely sweet smile combined with "then I can't help you" is infuriating (Harry Potter fans?). Update: went on a different day, even worse experience (didn't know that was possible). They can't put you on a wait list, wouldn't even let you see the catalog. The SA raised her voice at me when I asked how to get an item. I think they want you to beg. Preposterous. They also make you wait when 5 sales associates just chit chat in a corner. My corner store clerk is much nicer than these snobby associates. They work for a luxury store and inherited a false sense of superiority. This store might as shut down.

If I can give a zero star for Yumi Yu I would. Why do you treat customers like you are better than them?! Kept on texting and calling without a response. If you don’t want to provide customer service then don’t work.

The store is nice, selection is limited, but customer service was what got us. I was ready to buy a bag and they had it but a really bad attitude and customer service, they could not help us with anything and being rude the whole time made me not wanna get it. I tried going into the store next day to get a better salesman, but the purse was gone the next day.:( . Bottom line love the bags but service is 1 star there

The worst salespeople we've ever dealt with. Don't deal with Ray in particular. He lies about the products. The older Asian manager is just awful. I reported it all the corporate, and they are actually helping me with the bag we bought. These people think they're high-end, but they are low class. There's definitely discrimination at this store. Corporate is also aware of this.

Out of all Chanel stores I have been to.... this location was the worst.... The sales associate was rude and showing lots of body language of "hurry up.... u r wasting my time" If u r in honolulu and need to go to Chanel store... go to Ala Moana location

On vacation got to chanel store at 739 waited in line. Security saw us in line and waited until 758 to tell us it was closed and we couldn't come in. When I asked him why didn't he tell us that we weren't going to able to come he said you have to leave. I am a Chanel customer and I'm disgusted by this treatment I received. Horrible horrible experience. Most stores will come out and communicate with customers and let them know the last person they will be serving for the night, not make them stand there assuming there going to be able to come in. I will be calling cooperate office.

The customer service was horrible! So when we walked up to the door, there were 2 ladies in front of us that walked straight in with no issues. Then my husband and I tried to walk in when we were kindly stopped and told no salesman were available to walk with us. I believe it’s because we were not “dressed to par”. We have just come from the beach but we were clean, clothes on and looked fine. So then about 10 minutes later, they let us in and made us wait in this room that was freezing and about 40 degrees!!! So then a salesman came and was just as dry as ever. The inventory was so limited. You can find more in Saks! But the customer service was trash. I definitely left saying I would never go back there or even buy from that brand. I’ll stick to my usual because the customer service with those brands have always been consistently great!

I recently had the pleasure of working with John Vu and his manager Ula at Chanel, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. John was my advisor for the purchase of a beautiful Chanel purse, and he went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with my purchase. He was extremely knowledgeable about the products, answered all of my questions thoroughly and patiently, and provided excellent customer service throughout the entire process. I felt confident in my decision to buy the purse thanks to his expert guidance. In addition to John's exceptional service, I was also impressed by Ula's kindness and generosity. She gave me a sample of a Chanel perfume, which I absolutely loved. It was a wonderful surprise and really showed me how much they value their customers. Overall, my experience at Chanel was fantastic thanks to John and Ula. They both exemplified the highest level of professionalism, expertise, and kindness. I will definitely be returning to Chanel in the future, and I will be sure to request John as my advisor again. Thank you both for making my shopping experience so enjoyable!

Service was non-existent. You have to dress like a salesman to be welcomed. Anyway they don't want my money so I will take them elsewhere. Don't waste your time with this trash company.

If possible I wanna give them Zero star. The customer service is horrible there. You must dress like you own a lot of luxury stuffs or the salesman will just ignore you. And my wife is interested in something to try. But the Asian salesperson is totally blind his eyes. We had a really bad shopping experience. The only thing I wanna do is give that guy a middle finger.

Excellent large Chanel Boutique on the main shopping street of Waikiki. Ivr been to quite a few Chanel Boutiques around the world but this one is memorable. The Staff were excellent and their service and attentive. These are busy places as we all know, often with lines waiting. The staff were always patient and we were served drinks and biscuits. A shout out to the Abram and Shingo and the Chanel team there. Will certainly visit again.

John is being big help on our shopping experience. He goes up and beyond our expectation to get the sizing and items we are looking for. All the other staff are also very nice and professional.

All the luxury stores have a line except this Chanel. Weird but I can see why. The customer service is non existent. I know Chanel bags kinda sell themselves but they still need to provide some service. I asked for a specific color and she immediately said no. I asked to see smaller bags and she didnt indicate she was going to check for me, just stood where she was. So I browsed the store by myself. I saw a necklace i wanted to buy but wasn't going to give her the commission for not even helping. Will try the other Chanel

We enter the store and folks shy away from offering assistance looking for what we want? The salesman doesn't know the breadth of Chanel product line and doesn't know they don't carry an item. Then we look on phone for comparison price for another product and he misquotes the store price including local sales tax by nearly a dollar? Then when we decide to leave after a purchase we feel escorted out!

Visit from the mainland. Nice store and staff. Not too impressed with selections. Great lower price compared to the mainland (less taxes)

My first time at a Chanel store, and I had no idea what to expect. In doing research, I saw a tool to schedule an appointment which I did, but it turns out this is no longer necessary. I arrived at my appointment time and had to wait in line with a couple others for a few minutes for a SA to become available. I was paired with John who was friendly and welcoming. I spent some time looking around the first and second floors, and then asked to look at the costume jewelry. Though they didn't have what I was looking for, there were many other nice options and I settled on a nice piece. John was very knowledgeable and spent a good amount of time beautifully wrapping my purchase and giving me some info on Chanel. He said he would let me know if/ when some of the pieces I asked for came in and sure enough he did the next day! I went in a couple of days later and made another purchase. I should mention that I was allowed and encouraged to try on pieces of the costume jewelry (unlike my experience at the Ala Moana location) and I found this very helpful. I am so happy with my experience at this Chanel store, if you are visiting Wakiki be sure to ask for John. He is the best!
