    Emergency room nurse staff are useless and so rude. Couldn't answer basic things during the emergency visit.

    Most of the nurses were very attentive and worked hard to take care of their patients. Unfortunately, there are still nurses/doctors who are taking their unconscious biases to work with them. There are still people who think that minorities don't feel pain the same way, it's outdated and wrong. I explained (very calmly, my voice was not raised) to one nurse that the pain meds were not working. Instead of attempting to call my doctor, she began to scream at me and explained how much time it would take to switch meds like I was a 3 year old. In her mind, she felt attacked, which derived from her own issues of ignorance and racism. I was just in a lot of pain, and she refused to accept or believe this fact. Very unprofessional. When anyone in the hospital is in pain, post op, believe them. Most of the nurses were great. Just the one nurse could really change someone's view of the hospital as a whole.

    Very disappointed for the 1st time with Kaiser. On Friday the 26 , 2021 took my mom up to after hrs appt at 545pm to check on her cut on her right lower leg do that was giving her problems. Doctor was great nurse was great but case worker told my mom that they will send a nurse to her home for home care of her leg and that they will call on Monday the 29th. No one called

    My wife was admitted here after passing out in the TSA queue when departing Honolulu Airport. We were traveling from NZ and were on our way home. The team at Kaiser were amazing. Everyone during our short stay of a few hours were fantastic. A real credit to your organization. Thank you for your care during a scary moment. I am not sure if the Ambulance is independent but they were amazing also letting us bring all of our luggage as we were stranded. The Ambulance Crew were AAA+++ - Thanks Team!

    I had an MRI here, and was treated super well by all the staff. From the driver who shuttled me from airport, I am from Kauai, to the nice who took my temperature at the door, to the welcoming lady who checked me in, all the way to awesome Reed who did the MRI and made me super comfortable. Well done!

    Was referred to this place by my doctor. She gave me a number to call, it was after hours appointments. Had an appointment at 8:45pm. When you get to the door you need to have a mask and they check your temperature before letting you in. Went to get my hand x-rayed, no broken bones... It was quick when they saw me, no one was there that time of night.

    Here we go again. Twice, in 8 months Kaiser has provided bogus lab results for my wife and all DR Baker can say is "DON'T WORRY I TRUST YOU" that's completely unacceptable. These bogus results have a very real and negative effect on patients life's, stress/anxiety and more. Kaiser needs to be held 100% accountable for this, and find REAL answers for thier members. People.....please speak up Kaiser and the like need to be severely punished for this.

    I had a double mastectomy yesterday at Moanaloa....and I have nothing but GREAT things to say about everyone. From the nurses, attendants, Doctors, admissions, to the facility—everyone was SO nice and they did an amazing job. I am so impressed and so grateful.

    Brought our little tot (1 year old) here to the ER while on vacation with a high fever... the staff was quick to admit her and do necessary tests to quickly diagnose and issue prescriptions. Each and every care person from admissions to nurses to doctors to pharmacists were so helpful, reassuring, and compassionate! Thank you, thank you for giving us amazing care and peace of mind to return to our vacation with hopefully and happier and healthier babe!

    Best Hospital experience ever. Was on vacation and unfortunately had to go to ER and was admitted for a Surgery. For a hospital the amount of staff that was kind, upbeat and had a positive attitude was remarkable. Very caring and professional from the first minute entering the emergency room to a few days later, the RN walk with us to the pharmacy. Was very surprised by the quality of the food! Congratulations to a great team. Your work is not easy and my wife and I appreciate what each of you do each day to take care us.

    You could be dying and the doctors don’t call you back. My GF appointment (phone) was for Thursday at 430 pm dr never called we waited till 6pm so after they wasted our time and just didn’t bother to call we gave up and went to have dinner. Made another appointment for tomorrow let’s see if they even call.

    My appt today in Oncology was great. Nurse’s are very professional, attentive, genuine in their care for patients. Whenever I’m there the staff makes me feel like I’m home. I appreciate all they do to help many through a very challenging time in our lives.

    Was visiting out of town with my family and had to take my 1 year old to the ER. Everyone we interacted with treated us with care and compassion. From the security, nurses, and doctor, thank you so much for taking good care of my baby girl!

    I was scheduled to remove my thyroid, clear a sinus, possible vein bypass in my shoulder and possible cutting into my shoulder to remove a lump that developed over time. My ENT surgeon and Vascular surgeon worked out the best solution and was able to get the lump out without cutting into the shoulder and bypassing some veins. I can't say it was simpler since the surgery did take 10+ hours. What they did saved me a lot of pain and therapy and now I am lump free, and cancer free pending test results. From check in, preparation, consultation from the surgeons, recovery room, nurses, therapy, healing touch therapy, dog therapy, the experience was outstanding. I always get these surveys that ask if I would recommend Kaiser, Now that I was a hospital patient and experienced first hand, I can honestly say that I recommend Kaiser to anyone. Their professionalism and pride outshines everything and I am proud to be part of the organization.

    I had the best surgery experience ever. Kaiser permanente Moanalua has the nicest, professional, caring staff ever! My dpm doctor Murphy did a great job, was confident in his field, knew what he was saying and doing, explained things clearly to me. I loved the anesthesia people! They were so kind experienced. Please come to Big Island and teach the Kaiser clinic staff. if possible Kona hospital needs a lot of teaching being that's where us Kaiser patients have to go for emergencies . Ugh Mahalo a me ka Mahalo Mau! (Gratitude and Appreciation Always)

    Great Doctors ( had surgery for hiatal hernia in 12/20 and recovered so easily but I think they gave me too much morphine because I was sick from anesthesia mainly!) Love this one lady Doctor here and cannot reveal her name because I'm so afraid she will become even more in demand but her initials are MC and I fly all the way from Maui to see her. Maui seriously needs help and so does your psychotherapy department...NOT enough doctors and extremely underpaid for how they save lives and even entire families...Not enough help at all and the apps offered do NOT help

    Dr James Ford is one of the most caring, empathetic and knowledgeable doctors I've ever met. Wish he was my primary care doctor but he works in the ER now.

    Love this hospital! All good experiences here! Great staff and excellent medical care! Very clean/recently renovated as well and the gift shop, along with the food services dept are also pretty great!

    There was a white, fat and tall security guard last night that was very rude and disrespectful. They don't know how to treat people right. Poor customer service, I wouldn't recommend this hospital

    On 2-6-23 tgeKaiser Moanalua 4th floor staff were exceptional in customer service from 4th floor check in to anesthesia staff, RN's post surgery, to physical therapist and Doctor Gregory Lee and his nurses and pre-op Denis Yamada, the Total Joint Class, EKG everyone and now Debra P.T. at Waipio has made this operation and recovery with so much positive vibes! Awesome

    Doctor Fujiwara took a look at my Son in the E.R. today. He was so fast, he was super friendly and took care of my Son. It was the best experience considering E.R. Visits to usually be filled with anxiety and stress. He was so fast, hardworking and saw many patients in the timeline of 60 minutes being in the emergency room. Thank you Doctor for all that you do, you’re the best!

    this hospital screw up on my brother.. so my brother had an open heart surgery. I was scared. but it was an success,, I was so happy,, he was perfectly fine, and strong.. but he also needed blood, so the doctors gave him blood,, 😭 and from there everything went wrong, they gave him blood that had bacteria,(as that what they said) which gave him blood infection.,. and slowly he didn't make it.. don't they test the blood.. this is so mess up... idk if the doctors trying to hide something we don't know cause how can they make a mistake like that... what should I do... pls help... he was just fine.. then they give him blood.. and now he's gone.. can I sue , I going get a lawyer

    Dr. Jose Marquez is great and awesome doctor in ER yesterday bring my son and he was so accommodating and he makes sure I’m a worried mother properly informed about my son health problems. He explained everything to me in a clear manner. He is kind and friendly. My second favorite doctors aside Dra. Laura Chang. Increadible!

    About 2 yrs ago, a Kaiser representative convinced me to switch from the Kaiser Medicare plan to the Kaiser Senior Advantage Plan. They didn't inform me that, under this plan, Medicare would no longer cover my outside psychology and chiropractic visits.  As a result, Medicare refused my claims and it ended up costing me over $1k out of pocket.  I promptly switched back to my former Kaiser Medicare coverage.  But, in the process, I lost my Kaiser pharmacy priveleges. They outsorced my meds to a private pharmacy.  Ok.  But, now Kaiser consistently ignores my private pharmacy's requests for refill approvals.  It sometimes takes as much as 2 weeks and many phone calls to get my meds. So I tried requesting my refill prescription directly from my doctor as a work-around.  My doctor referred the request to Kaiser pharmacists to process.  Kaiser pharmacy ignored the request.  Now what? Conclusion:  Kaiser is not Medicare friendly.  Their Advantage plan turned out to be a disadvantage plan.

    I am writing on behalf of my husband Michael E. Noble, I am his wife, Leah. From the first day I brought him in to Kaiser Permanente at Moanalua, we had the A Team who diagnosed him immediately and put him in the hospital where they addressed his problems one by one and emailed the test results daily, sometimes several times a day. This was a great comfort to me to see how he was progressing. The nurses were warm and caring and the doctors kept showing up like clockwork and I have to say I was very impressed with your staff of doctors and nurses. I have been with Kaiser for decades and never knew how extraordinary your staff was until my husband faced this serious set of problems. I went to bed every night knowing he was in superb hands. My only complaint is that I wish I had been informed early on that Michael's kidney failure had resolved as soon as he was hydrated, as this was a source of anguish to me, thinking he might be on dialysis the rest of his life and he is not that guy. As it turned out, his kidneys are functioning, thanks to you. Through this experience with Kaiser I have to say I believe that healers are touched by God. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

    Dr. Susan May, Audiologist at Kaiser Moanalua medical center is an excellent doctor. She is friendly, professional, caring and knowledgeable. I have been going to her over 15 years and am always very satisfied with her treatment. So happy to have her as my audiologist.

    Soon after surgery I experienced extreme hallucinations culminating in interference required by my eldest daughter. While may have been emphatic about what to me was a very real hallucination bright on by pain medication I was treated as though my behavior was something I brought on myself or had any control over. With my daughters intervention I became aware that rather than being treated as though I had drug induced hallucinations I was about to be treated with physical and mental restraints inconsistent with accepted medical norms. It was clear that if I did not change I would be treated with less than acceptable conditions. At no time during or after was I contacted by a medical specialist that could have better cope with an experience as a result of my treatment.
