Let
me
preface
this
review
by
saying
that
I
actively
avoid
seeking
medical
care.
I
had
medical
trauma
in
my
mid-20s
so
I
have
a
lot
of
anxiety
in
medical
facilities.
If
I
show
up
to
get
treatment
from
a
medical
professional,
it
is
typically
to
appease
a
concerned
loved
one
or
I
can
no
longer
manage
my
symptoms
on
my
own
and
need
professional
guidance.
That
being
said,
this
was
the
worst,
most
dehumanizing
urgent
care
experience
I
have
had.
The
doctor
I
saw
at
this
facility
does
not
belong
in
a
patient
care
setting.
She
was
instantly
dismissive
of
my
reason
for
being
there
and
had
a
hostile
demeanor.
She
actually
rolled
her
eyes
when
I
was
describing
my
concerns
and
told
me
not
to
pay
so
much
attention
to
my
symptoms
(after
a
previous
healthcare
professional
specifically
told
me
to
monitor
them).
She
shut
down
every
question/concern
I
had
so
abruptly
that
I
froze
and
was
unable
to
continue
advocating
for
myself.
She
did
say
she
would
order
a
test,
but
noted
that
she
didn’t
think
it
was
necessary
and
then
left
the
room
without
further
discussion
about
alleviating
symptoms,
possible
medications
to
try
or
what
I’ve
already
tried,
or
even
non-medication
ways
to
help
me
feel
better.
Upset
that
I
had
wasted
both
my
time
and
very
limited
energy,
and
frustrated
that
I
was
dismissed
despite
feeling
so
miserable
for
the
past
4
weeks,
I
started
crying
and
gathered
my
things
to
leave.
Another
employee
noticed
my
distress
and
got
the
manager
of
the
clinic,
who
invited
me
to
sit
down
and
discuss
what
happened.
Unfortunately,
by
this
time
I
was
both
physically
and
emotionally
depleted
and
I
just
wanted
to
go
home.
He
offered
to
get
the
doctor
to
discuss
what
happened,
but
I
was
not
comfortable
being
in
her
presence
again
and,
frankly,
was
too
exhausted
to
engage
in
a
rational,
semi-confrontational
discussion,
so
I
declined
and
left.
This
was
my
first
Queens
Island
Urgent
Care
visit
-
I
usually
go
to
a
different
clinic
downtown,
but
this
facility
was
closer
to
my
home
and
I
was
too
sick
and
exhausted
to
drive
far
and
deal
with
downtown
parking,
and
I
didn’t
have
anyone
else
to
drive
me.
The
wait
was
about
1.5
hours,
which
is
what
I
expected
for
an
urgent
care
facility.
One
star
for
a
clean
facility,
easy
parking
and
courteous
front
desk
and
nursing
staff,
which
almost
balances
all
the
negative
stars
I
would
rate
my
experience
with
the
doctor.
