WARNING. Dr. Mandich was kind, caring and likely well intentioned. It is also very easy to communicate and schedule appointments. Yet I deeply regret seeing her. Dr. Mandich is not the most experienced. She sent me to the ER for blood work based on a EKG scan and freaked me out for what would turn out to be an unnecessary visit. Once I got to the ER, they said the visit was unnecessary and that based on the EKG and my risk factors this was not an emergency but that I should have just followed up with the cardiologist. Once at the cardiologist, he told me that the visit to the ER was unnecessary based on what Dr. Mandich saw on the EKG and my risk factors. This is an example of Dr. Mandich being overly cautious to a fault, as the experience of going to the ER was emotionally damaging. Moreover, Dr. Mandich misstated medical knowledge. She told me my father being diagnosed with heart failure at 60 constituted a cardiac risk factor for myself. But the cardiologist told me that it is only a risk factor for me if my father was diagnosed with premature heart failure, which would have to be before 55 years of age. Dr. Mandich also had me buy a blood pressure pump to test for high blood pressure (thankfully it was low when tested at home) and never followed up or asked about the results of my blood pressure checks. As an attorney who previously practiced medical malpractice law, Dr. Mandich was peehaps not negligent in a legal sense, but she is cautious to a fault and inexperienced.

Dr. Mandich is the most responsive PCP I've ever had. Having recently arrived from the east coast to Honolulu, Dr. Mandich was communicative, patient, kind, and helpful to ensuring my health records and care were transferred and managed efficiently. She was very respectful towards me as a new patient, and had a great intuitive sense of when to ask questions, and when to trust me. She's had great recommendations for every referral, from Dermatology to Physical Therapy to Ophthalmology. Highly recommend to new patients!

Dr. Mindy Chen is such an amazing doctor, I am so grateful for all of the medical help she has provided and she is now my PCP! I highly recommend her; she is very professional, knowledgeable, kind, caring, and diligent in her work. I love how she really takes her time to learn about you and shows that she cares and has always been easy to contact. The M Clinic is easy to find and there are plenty of parking options. The office is always very clean and Dr. Chen is always prepared to meet you.

As a patient, it can be hard to describe things, like pain and frequency of symptoms quickly and accurately and communicate all the most pertinent information to the doctor. Since Dr. Mandich is such a thoughtful listener and asks many questions-she helps you express your symptoms to identify what is going on, start a treatment plan, and feel better quicker! During the Covid-19 Pandemic when it was difficult to schedule an appointment with a specialist, Dr. Chen went above and beyond and coordinated diagnostic testing to access treatment sooner. Scheduling an appointment online is quick and easy and her office is tranquil and pleasant if you need to see her in person. Dr. Mandich (Chen) treats patients like family and is open and honest about your health, giving you tough news with true compassion and empathy. We truly appreciate Dr. Mandich (Chen) and wholeheartedly recommend her if you are looking for a primary care physician.

She's very thorough and will order the appropriate tests and scans needed in order to diagnose what you have. She is easy to get a hold of after hours and get's back to me quickly when I need her. 👍

Dr. Chen was recommended to us by our dermatologist Dr. McKinlay and has been a wonderful doctor throughout this pandemic for my husband and myself. We love her flexibility and availability per her patient portal allowing us to ask questions and get clarifications at any time. All of our visits have been virtual and easy to conduct. All onboarding paperwork was straightforward through the same patient portal and also possible to complete online, without jeopardizing her, her staff’s, or our health by having unnecessary contact through office visits. We appreciate her use of modern technology and concern for our well-being. We always feel heard and understood; and all problems are immediately addressed, such as blood work orders, medication refills, or referrals. I remember finding Dr. Chen through Yelp when I had needed to see a doctor for my ears. At the time, I had just become of age when I needed to switch out from my pediatrician. I remember being so afraid of switching doctors since I had not seen anyone else for my health. It took a while before deciding to try Dr. Chen. Let me tell you, if you are looking for a new primary physician, look no further because Dr. Chen is amazing! Her office is spotless, welcoming, and comfortable to be in! Dr. Chen is very friendly and listens to your concerns. She also makes sure that you are comfortable while seeing her. I trust and appreciate Dr. Chen so much that I have also referred my brother to her and he now has his primary physician as Dr. Chen as well.
