Lovely place to walk around the neighborhood. It has walk paths everywhere that take u from the street sidewalk to the side of the canal. You might just see ppl who r rowing compete with each other.

It's also nice to take a walk along the canal in the morning. If you look at the edge of the canal, you will see schools of black fish. As someone who plays golf, I'm envious of the other side of the canal.

I love the scenery of Ala Wai Canal. I walked along the sidewalk of the canal in the morning when I was staying in one of the apartment buildings along the canal in April and now again in mid November I came and took pictures of its beauty.

Super cool and stunning canal walkways! Great place to stroll or go for a run/bike under the trees and feel a slight breeze coming through. People can rent row boats and row down the canal also! A great spot.

Ala Wai boulevard along Ala Wai canal is one one of the best place for morning walk in Honolulu. If you staying in any hotel in Waikiki, you must go and enjoy the walk and devour the scenic beauty and nonchalant ambiance of the place. A nice blend of nature and human endeavour to amalgamate its creations in concrete!! Whatsoever, The Mother Nature in all its benevolence, and I was there to bath in its kindness (April 8-15,2019)

While staying at a hotel near Ala Wai Canal, I have used its pedestrian paths for morning walks. I found it fairly peaceful compared to the flurry of activity nearer the beach. Some of the scenes were beautiful.

It is a very beautiful canal with Diamond Head visible in the distance. Even during the day, there aren't many people walking around, and it's a bit unsafe on the other side of the bridge, so I don't recommend going there at night.

The Ala Wai Canal could be a fabulous feature for Honolulu... to become that it would need to have clean water in it. This is probably impossible considering that this is water that flows from all over, but one can dream, can't one? Overall I still enjoy walking the length of the canal as there is a very nice sidewalk on the Diamond Head side of the canal.

Beautiful landmark!! It's frequently seen on the "Magnum PI" TV show. Makes for a great place to walk!!

It's a beautiful and fantastic Canal, It locates in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.

Went around this canal like a million times during our stay. Great for running, biking, kayaking (didn't know how), or just walking. Plus, around sunset or sunrise 👌

I lived there for 3 years and every day and night was definitely undetermined..

After I begin single sculling every weekends at 61yo, I want to be here from Japan for enjoying single scull. Fortunately HRC helps me sculling here while this visit Hawaii. Wonderful!

At once tarnished this land it had become, by the swindlers of my beloved people. A once great and mighty race. Over 2 million perished from exposure to western illness. Illegally occupied by the gun proud and mighty school shooting U.S of A. For over a century. The Ala Wai was dredged to empty out the Taro patches of my beautiful ancestors to accommodate business men so they could build they're hotels. I love the tourists, they are so clueless.
