Beautiful beach with lots of free parking and lots of Sandy real estate. Even better is when you gotta take a break from the sun, there are plenty of trees to provided a shady reprieve. Water here is very calm and great for young ones or those who prefer to not swim amongst waves. Bathrooms are ample and there is a restaurant nearby if you didn’t bring your own food. Good place to spend some quality beach time!

Since the winter storm hits Hawaii, the water wasn't super clear at Ala Moana Beach, but it was still a beautiful beach. Emerald-like color and calm, but there were too many broken shells.

It's better than Waikiki because it's more empty.

So much nicer and quieter than waikiki. Nice mix of tourists, locals, paddle boarders, surfers, joggers and picnicking. Quite a bit of homelessness going on. Plenty of parking available, also at magic island.

It's a wonderful place. The surrounding area is also very clean, so it is an impressive place. It is a very good place to take a walk in the morning. However, the sunlight is a little strong, so I recommend you to put on sunscreen

Ala Moana Beach is a a great place to spend the day enjoying all that the beach has to offer from sunrise to sunset. The waves are smooth, the sand is soft and there are lifeguards on duty here. Enjoy a day with family and friends on the beach.

Beautiful sunsets. A wonderful place to exercise and to people watch. Something for the whole family. Have that romantic walk along the beach.

Much less crowded than other beaches in Honolulu. Reef blocks waves making for very calm waters. Plenty of facilities and amenities. Don't hesitate or make an excuse, just go swimming!!

Very good public beach! A little bit stones and rocks make your swim experience more challenging. Parking is free. Water is clean. The beach is also clean.

Especially, it is a beautiful sea at sunset. In the early morning, children like to see small fish in shallow water. A place that heals me almost every day during my trip.On weekends, local people have a lot of barbecue parties, so I wanted to enjoy and eat together.👍🏻👍🏻💙

Always a great experience! Plenty local people, may too much party ones but there’s always space for all of us. Beautiful views of the sunset and very versatile for different water sports. It’s ok for snorkeling specially when is half way of the height tie if not is to low. Sometimes cute turtles swim around you but they can be shy.

Was looking for a place to enjoy the sunset and this worked out great. Fun and lively atmosphere that really helped cap off a day of adventure in Hawaii. Would recommend arriving early if trying to capture the sunset behind the ridgeline as parking can be tricky. Worth a stop for other beach activities too (paddle boarding, water polo, rowing, etc.)

Beautiful beach, it’s almost like a lagoon. No waves and very clear. Perfect for swimming, snorkeling or paddle boarding. Quieter beach than most close to Waikiki, less touristy so perfect place to chill and relax 🙂

Near Ala Moana Shopping Center, it's a great place to stop by and watch the sunset before going for dinner. The sunset is so beautiful, a great place for a walk.

Crystal clear waters that are calm due to protection from the reef with beautiful scenery, abundant parking, and very close proximity to the ala Moana mall and many hotels. Fantastic place for a family beach day safe for kids too. Perfect place to catch the sunset. I wish we discovered this earlier

Easy location, lots of parking but lots full up fast so show up before crowds approx 9am and earlier is best for close by parking. The bathrooms are somewhat maintained and the beach is clean.

Great little beach. No waves. However there were signs for jellyfish, but people were still in the water. Ate lunch under a palm tree watching the ocean

Gorgeous beach, plenty of free parking, minutes walk from shopping center. Great for kids and adults, swimming, snorkeling and other water activities. Picnic area or just lazy on the soft beach sand!

Beautiful beach. No waves, super calm waters. A little chilly as shoulder get in but then it’s perfect! Easy to swim with the kids.

Good beach, there is some rocks, so you have to be careful
