I really liked this little beach. Homeless people at the pier end on the street but the beach felt really safe. I read some reviews that during covid things got a bit crazy with homelessness around this area but I think it's back to normal levels now. Beach felt clean and safe with only tourists in it. Rental of a beach umbrella and chairs was easy from the beach hut. Ideal for young children and families. Calm clear water with no waves. Close to everything on the strip. The showers were broken do you need to walk up the beach a few yards towards Waikiki beach for those. I would recommend this beach. Overall I saw a lot more homelessness and mental health issues in Maui and Oahu this visit. I think COVID has really hurt the homeless community as much as the rest of us. Everything had been turned on its head and that usually tourist only areas were empty for two years etc. Things slowly returning to normal and hopefully the homeless and mentally ill will get the support they need too.

This place is located in the heart of Honolulu and it’s somewhat part of Waikiki beach , it offers a lot of activities such as surfing, snorkeling and many more. The sand is amazingly soft and the place is almost crowded in some days.

A quick walk from my hotel or any hotel really. Felt like the middle point for Waikiki beaches. Great mix of people, shopping, entertainment, and food. Not too crowded on the sand, grass, or other look out points.

(Translated by Google) Saturday 18: 30-19: 30 There was a space where you can see the hula dance show too. It's a bit higher than the sandy beach, so you can go without getting too dirty after washing your feet. The beach debut of a 2 year old child who has never entered the pool. After all I was disgusted with waves and sand stains, but it was a pleasure to experience loose waves. My husband was snorkeling. I didn't know if it was a traveler or a local when I took a picture with my family, but an American cool guy with a cool umbrella took it. It was a calm beach where children practiced surfing. There are a lot of people, but there is a beach part, but I was not cramped at all to play for a short time.

This beach is beautiful. It’s been crowded the few days I’ve visited but it doesn’t stop anyone from having a good time. The water was calm. The location is conveniently located across hotels. It has shops that offer excursions, chairs, umbrellas, surfboards, etc. The showers are functioning so you can rinse off before heading back. If you want a snack - you have all the shops across the street, not to mention the famous ABC Store.

Great beach for toddlers. Waves are mild really mild. The sand is soft with not many rocks. You’ll probably want to bring an umbrella As there is not much shade.

Kuhio Beach works well for a safer swim since they have sea walls out there to break the surf. The sand is wider than on Waikiki Beach. But it's really indistinct where one beach starts and the other ends.

Kuhio Beach Park was a perfect spot for myself and my family. It is located right near the main street of Waikiki where you can purchase food and drinks. There is an ABC convenience store directly across the road which provides everything you will need for a day on the beach; including food, snacks, drinks, sunscreen, swimmers, clothing, etc. When you walk onto the beach from the street you are greeted by a beautiful bronze statue of Duke Paoa Kahanamoku. This 9-foot bronze sculpture honors the Hawaiian Olympic champion & father of international surfing. The beach area is also wheelchair friendly. The sand is flat and easy to ride over. There is also a plastic pathway running all the way to the water. You can also hire surfboards and paddle boards here. #letsguide #wheelchairfriendly #accessiblebeach

Downtown Waikiki beach gets very crowded as expected, but great spot to watch the sun go down, then dinner out while staying nearby. Always enjoy this slice of paradise whenever I visit!

Love this beach but does get crowded not for those who love secluded beaches but its a really nice beach with shops and small bistro restaurant nearby.

Crowded, dirty, lots of homeless. Cut our time short because it felt like we were constantly being watched. They did have benches though, which made it nice for listening to the waves

Aside from the the large amount of homeless in the area, this beach is epic. I was fortunate enough to wake up for a sunrise walk down the pier. The views of this place are breathtaking. I got so engulfed by the beauty that I forgot there were people around me.

Mediocre beach for Hawaii but still a beautiful beach. Lots of people in a very touristy area. If you have a car, it’s worth travelling to other beaches around the island just to have less people around. Waters are generally calm and it has a blocked off area that’s not very deep so good for people with young kids.

Excellent beach if not too crowded. Very warm water. Really calm thanks to the break wall. Clear water with a few fish. Great sand and a few shower stands/foot wash stations.

Nice, sheltered beach park, if you have little ones, or just don't feel like playing in the waves, and want to go for a swim instead. Go outside the sea wall for some wave fun. Plenty of showers. Walk back to your hotel if nearby !

Kuhio Beach Park is a good city beach. It is close to the hotels, restaurants, and hotels. The sand is clean, but it can get crowded. The water is warm and clean but can have a lot of rocks. The water is calm and good for swimming or hanging out. There is shade in the morning if you want to relax without getting burned in the sun. It can get a little crowded so get there early to get a good spot.

Walking east from Waikiki, the casual pedestrian tourist is sure to encounter many sights he or she probably never sees at home. Not the least of which are the beautiful trees one encounters along the way. Banyan, balboa, coconut palms, and evergreens delight the observer at every turn. The verdant greens stand out in striking contrast to the lush azure blues of the Waikiki Bay. Take a stroll —either a short walk or a hefty hike— you’ll be glad and will treasure the memories for a lifetime, or until you return again to this island.
