This is a beautiful beach with some nice currents, however the tents are hard to see. It's sad to see so many individuals living in tents. Thankfully, help is posted on the flyers. Parking can be difficult- so arrive early- but the difficulty tends to wane in the evening. Great for swimming, boogy boarding, or just chilling on the beach.

Beautiful beach away from the hustle of the tourism. Beautiful views and a lifeguard on duty. The water can get rough so take note of any notifications about the surf. The bathrooms are also a bit sketch. But it gets the job done for a #1 but definitely not for a #2. Enjoy the beach and the views.

Waimanalo Beach Park is a very beautiful place to spend the day with family, wade in the water, watch the waves, play in the soft sand and a very good location for a cookout. There are public restrooms available, outdoor showers, picnic tables and ample amount of parking. There are a lot of people camping out here and they tend to keep to themselves.

A beach with a breathtaking view where you can see pristine blue ocean on one side and majestic mountains so close on the other side. The beach has a lifeguard on duty with proper amenities like outdoor shower and bathrooms. When we went there were a few warning signs on short shore break and jellyfish so time your visit well. Otherwise it's nice and windy, a popular spot among the locals. I recommend coming slightly earlier so you won't have to fight for parking.

We stayed at a place close to this beach. I really enjoyed the beach as well as my family. We liked it so much we visited the beach every day for the next 3 days. Parking was good. There was plenty of space to find a spot next to the waves. The view was great.

One of the best beaches in Oahu! You get decent waves (not big enough for surfing if you are looking to surf), soft white sand & a great view of the mountains. There are public restrooms (though not in the best condition) & a few palm trees lining the beach for shade. I don't think it's a popular beach so it wasn't crowded at all when we went... it was perfect!

Gorgeous and quiet beach. Soft sand few people and views for days. You will enjoy the scenery all around and hearing the breeze through the trees. Mountains to see behind you. Obama had a house on this beach somewhere just to give you an idea of how special it is.

Gorgeous beach. Not crowded with good waves. Be careful of the man of war. We found two when we were there. They have a pretty powerful sting which could be very painful. Look for signs on the beach.

I have been to Oahu several times and travel around the Caribbean as well, but Waimanalo is one of my favorite beaches. Is located within a local park and is usually not crowded. The water is clear and a beautiful color.

I love this beach! The waves are so cool but not crazy. So you can swimm there with your children. Enjoy the picturesque view. Sandy Beach and there are no stones in the water. Very very nice! I will be back 100% and definitely recommend this amazing place. Like paradise.

Stunning expanse of beach with amazing backdrop of sheer rock wall. Glorious white sand. Beware the big waves that will dump you. Life guard in duty. Plenty of free parking and showers to rinse off afterwards.

If you don’t really know how to swim and you’re looking for a calm beach to waddle around in, this beach is not for you. However, it’s a wonderful place if big waves don’t scare you! I decided to visit due to the good reviews but the current is no joke. The water is warm and the sand is nice too. Parking is super easy and this beach is nowhere near crowded. Like I said, good if you like waves; wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking to take anyone who can’t swim.

Beautiful beach with lots of sand to soak it all up. Since it’s on the east side, it can be a bit cool with the wind coming off the water. Great for those hot summer days. Ample parking.

One of the best beaches in the world. A must to visit this beach and hangout there for the day. Not crowded. Water temperature is perfect. The sand is soft and white. You can walk out into the water without any sudden drop-off. Restrooms are on site. Friendly atmosphere. A true tropical paradise experience.

Best beach on the island. Not filled with tourists but you can see the mountains and little islands. The waves are spectacular for boogie boarding and the sand is incredibly soft.

It was a great place for camping. Yet the camping area has no driving access for easy loading and unloading. Also ; they have lots of homeless people living right at the entrance. It takes away from security to be honest. You have to put everything inside of your tent every nigh to make sure you are not robbed. Otherwise; beautiful views and waters.

Nice beach. We came when the waves were strong, it was after 2pm. The tide was high and the surf was a bit rough. Thankfully, They had life guards on duty. It's a nice place to enjoy the beach and spend time with family and friends. They have free public parking and restrooms with outside showers to rinse off.

A sublime beach experience. Plenty of shade trees at the edge of the beach. Nice shower for rinsing off. Parking can be tricky as it's a popular spot. Plenty of trash cans.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Waimānalo Beach and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The beach itself is absolutely stunning, with its golden sands and crystal-clear waters. The natural beauty of the area is truly breathtaking, making it a perfect destination for relaxation and beach activities. One of the unique features of Waimānalo Beach is the option to camp right by the shoreline. I found it fascinating that visitors have the chance to immerse themselves in nature by camping on the beach. However, it’s important to note that booking a campsite requires early planning, as reservations need to be made at least two weeks in advance. The cost of $52 per night for a campsite is quite reasonable considering the incredible location. The waves at Waimānalo Beach are a bit different from other beaches. They are bigger and stronger, which might appeal to those who enjoy more adventurous water activities like surfing. However, if you’re planning to swim, especially with children, it’s essential to be cautious and aware of the wave conditions. While the beach itself is stunning, I did notice that there were a fair number of homeless individuals in the vicinity. This could be a concern for some visitors, especially those who prefer a more secluded and private environment. While the presence of homeless individuals didn’t personally bother me, it’s something to be aware of when planning a visit. In conclusion, Waimānalo Beach is a beautiful destination that offers a unique camping experience right by the ocean. The natural beauty of the beach, combined with the opportunity for outdoor activities, is truly remarkable. Just remember to book your campsite well in advance, be prepared for stronger waves, and be aware of the presence of homeless individuals in the area. Despite these considerations, I would still highly recommend Waimānalo Beach to anyone looking for a picturesque and memorable beach getaway. I give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars.

The beach was nice… beautiful setting and not overly crowded. Parking was ok… lot was pretty full but we found a space. On the walk from parking to the beach we saw trash. We set our stuff by a tree and there was glass and trash in the sand. The sand closer to the water was clean. There are bathrooms and outside shower areas.

Was so beautiful here. I loved spending my last day here. The only thing I did not like was seeing how many people were so irresponsible with their trash. If we went to keep the beaches clean and the water this blue forever please keep your garbage out of the water!! Do not bury it in the sand either.

Gorgeous beach! Watch out for the currents and Portuguese Man-of-war! Sand is very fine here and it's quite a drive from Waikiki and the airport but Waimanalo Beach Park is worth the trip!

My favorite beach on this island. Waves are nice for boogie boarding, the softest sand I've ever felt, and gorgeous views! Not too crowded either. If I ever come back to Hawaii this will be a priority visit!

Free for all. Open everyday from 7-6 p.m. No shortage of parking here. Bathroom facilities. Lots of trees for shade. Lifeguard tower although there was no lifeguard on the day we visited. Soft sandy beach & turquoise water. Be aware on the south end of the beach/parking lot there are many tents setup there.

A slice of paradise, if you are looking for a picturesque beach that's not overly crowded even on the weekends try this beach. Beautiful water, sandy beach, picnic tables, restroom, and parking (2 lots). It's often windy but that's the side of the island that gets a lot of wind. And besides the view is worth being wind blown. **I often see people comment on the homeless encampment in front of the beach. Yes it is there, but we've never seen them bother anyone so don't let that deter you from enjoying this beautiful spot.

We just happened to be driving by and saw the amazing view from this beach, we parked and walked in and immediately had a huge smile since the landscape and the beach itself are fantastic. Make sure to be careful, there was a lot of signs advising to stay out of the water due to jelly fish.

Beautiful beach! Far less crowded than the other beaches on Oahu. We ended up going to this same beach almost every day of our trip. There is plenty of shade starting early afternoon so even if you're not swimming, you can cool off a bit. I'm so glad we found this little gem. I was

Fun for tubing and family time! Seemed to be more fun and interesting than the beaches by the resort.

Camp ground is nice. We were there in May and the wind is the strongest. It was extremely difficult to cook something. The place is very safe even though you will neighbour with local homeless crowd (they are living not on the campground). It doesn’t have a shower and some area they can be adopted as a kitchen, we had to improvise. However, the ability to wake up, see the sunrise over the most beautiful beach makes everything else blurry.

Beautiful beach and beautiful view. We’re in town for a week and checking out multiple place. This was one of the recommended places by our friend and it did not disappoint. Waves were crazy the day we went but Hawaii so far has been a blast.

Beautiful views in every direction. Stumbled upon this beach park my first trip to Oahu and had to go back and take friends. Nice and quiet the afternoon we went. Park in 2nd parking lot, we felt safe as police were parked in the 1st lot where some homeless accumulate. I hope to go back again someday! :)
