I mean, if you have access to this beach, then you know how lucky you are. Wear shoes through the grass access (thorns). Water gets no deeper than waist high. Navy ships and subs cruising right past you. Great sunsets over Iroquois Point. Low tide brings sand bars.

Amazing treasure of a beach located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam. Must have DOD ID to access area. Lots of area is accessible depending on the tide. Plenty of unpacked parking but do be careful as it’s a nesting ground for indigenous birds. Dogs aren’t suppose to come on this beach but there are some folks who ignore that rule. Despite that, this is a great place to chill, away from all the island hustle.

This beach is perfect for kids learning how to swim. Shallow out very far. Need Military base access to get to this spot. If you have a friend or family member with US Military ID they can sponsor you on base if you are in the same vehicle. Only thing to be aware of There are some sea urchins to watch out for, and Keawe trees that do leave thorns on the sand so be aware of that.

This beach is beautiful at sunset! The water is so shallow that you can walk out SO far. I can see how this would be the perfect beach for families to bring small children. There are no waves here. They have some picnic tables near the beach too so if you pack some food, perfect place to have a little picnic! Photo that I have attached is by Love & Lenses Photography & Events. She did a photo shoot for us here at sunset and it was just stunning!

Nice place to go for a stroll on the beach. The kids seem to love it (ages 5, 8, 11) the water is very shallow pretty much everywhere. We walked about 200 yards out from shore and were only knee deep in water. Not a lot of fish but it is very pretty.

Shallow beach. Great to bring littles so they can splash and play and you can relax! The best perk is that parking is right along the beach basically. Walk maybe 10 feet from your car and you're on the beach!

Beautiful view, uneven surface for parking, considered a dog friendly beach, few picnic tables, great shade trees, few trash cans. Water is shallow and very clear. A bit quieter then Hickam Beach. If you want more waves and action check out Hickam Beach near by.

Good place to take kids - shallow, clear water with no waves. The beach is only a few feet from the dirt parking lot. There is a bit of trash & floating algae. Because the water is so shallow, it's warmer than most other beaches. I've been here a few times now & it's never full of people. Like others have stated, you do need a DoD ID because this is located on a military base.

This is our favorite local spot day or night for the kids! Never gets too deep and during low tide, you can basically walk anywhere in ankle deep water.

This beach looks nice if you just want to dip your toes… literally. It’s so shallow. On the bright side, plenty of parking and kid/dog friendly if you’re worried about waves or strong undercurrents.

One of my favorite beaches. Never crowded and the water is clear and calm. Very shallow and no drop off points. Fun, family beach. Great for young kids because there are very small waves and the water is shallow. You get a great view of the West side of the island.

A delightful spot to spend time with family or friends. Four stars for the lack of care and the corresponding amount of trash.

Great hidden beach, just be aware there will be relatively loud plane takeoffs overhead

Great beach! Requires a military ID. This is perfect for families. Shallow water for almost a quarter of a mile. Soft sand and clear water.

My FAVORITE beach in USA - no joke. My favorite beach in the world is Les Tipaniers in Tahiti. Kamehameha Beach has the Warmest water in Hawaii Kala probably, since it is almost body temperature and you never get cold in it. The beach is also shallow and goes out for half a mil about a 12 inch dept

Love this location! Went at higher tide after spending some time at Hickam Beach, and spent another 20 minutes floating and enjoying the calm waters.
