Who doesn't love a world famous beach? Plenty of parking, beautiful blue water, and lots of ironwood trees for hammocks, and on site fresh water showers. Lifeguards patrol the spread frequently. Signs are posted normally warning those not familiar with safe ocean activity engagement. Take note, there can be strong currents and even man-o-war.

My absolute favorite beach on Oahu for weddings and elopements. The forest area is so dreamy and the beach often empty.

I found this from the Shaka app tour list. It is truly a hidden gem! We came back for a second visit, it was that great. Very quiet and just beautiful! There is a lifeguard on duty and bathrooms.

There are so many cool things to do at Waimanalo Beach. The beach scene and vibe is slow and relaxed. Powdery white sands, aqua deep blue ocean. It’s breathtaking! It’s perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoying the stunning scenery.

We found this during my research of beaches to stop at on a drive around the island. It has a very large parking lot so there was no issue there. The sand is soft and the beach extends a fair distance. There were many families here enjoying a picnic, boogie boarding, or throwing footballs. We walked up and down the beach as it has really scenic views looking up and down the beach both ways. We wish we had more time to spend here.

Throughout the years ...this use to be a place full of family camping and swimming..my recent visit to this place still holds the memories..Yet parking has been more restricted than I remember and this beach still remains a good place to visit and swim...relax

If you want to get away from Waikiki for the day, this can be a place for you. It is easily accessible by car. It is also accessible by the bus, even though it takes almost 1.5 hours from Waikiki. There are a few places to grab lunch near the beach. Like going to any other beach, bringing sunscreen and a bottle of water is recommended.

Really beautiful and not crowded at all. True to the other reviews, at least three groups were getting married in the hour I was here. This was one of the more unique beaches I've seen in Oahu, and it is apparently a Hawaiian burial site, so I'm sad to hear that they're building an athletic field here.

Never camp on the outside edge of the park! Wonderful night camping the first night, woke up to sunrise and swimming. Second night had two people stab into my tent with sticks then took off. They were trying to scare me out to steal from me but missed my head by inches putting a hole in my pillow and ruining my $300 tent

It's a great place for kids because the water is shallow even if you go a bit more out. The water is nice and cool. I love the sand. It's very small like pulverized into dust. The beach is also very clean for how much people come here daily. Lots of shady parking, and never have to wait for parking. It's kinda secluded but not completely. There's still people 50 ft away if you wanna socialize. There's a lifeguard on duty so you feel safe. There's also more than two showers in different places to accommodate everyone. There was a sign that said not to bring your dog but there's always one when I go. Lol. Seems like a great place for family parties too.

Huge beach with smooth sand! This is a very picture-esque beach with plenty of space (it spans 3-miles long) and lifeguards on duty. We had no problem with parking, finding a spot with or without shade, and there are no rocks or coral. Perfect beach to jump into the ocean and relax on the sand.

Though we did not visit every beach in Oahu, this was our favorite beach we spent time at!! People who like to kick back and relax without a crowd will appreciate it. The parking is plentiful, the sand is white, and the water is a clear turquoise blue. It is breathtaking.

Beautiful beach with a large shoreline. Do not let the homeless encampment at the entrance turn you away. We spent several hours here.

Amazing surf and beach areas. One the changing areas is fairly dilapidated, but the other one is well maintained.

👍👍 This is a beautiful, well kept beach that is not overly crowded. There are restroom facilities and showers on the South end, by a car park. If you want a break from the crowds, but would still like to enjoy the beach, I highly encourage a visit here.

👍👍 One of my few favorite beaches on the east side. Pretty open most of the time. Not many tourists and you can camp here too. Beach is wide and waves great for swimming. There is a restroom area and it was clean along with the entire area. I’ve been here with only 10 people and the. Again over 100 but...
