My favorite beach in Ewa! There's a nice stretch of beach with a great view of town, a basketball court, baseball diamond, bathrooms, and parking. Usually not crowded except holidays, there are some homeless people but they never bother us they're just chillin. Usually beautiful for sunset!

Pu'uloa is in Ewa and honestly it's not a bad beach. It's only a ten minute drive from my sister's house, so it's a good option if we just want to chill at the beach, but don't want to make a whole day of it and drive 45 minutes to a more popular beach. You get to avoid all of the beach/city traffic, and all of the tourists (even though I am one myself). There was pretty much no one around on a Tuesday at around 10. Plus you get a view of Diamondhead waaaaaay in the distance. The sand is okay. It's not Kailua/Lanikai soft but definitely a lot cleaner than Waikiki. The water is not really good for swimming since there is a lot of coral out in front. Even with the coral, the waves are pretty rough. Not my first option for a beach on O'ahu but if you live nearby, this requires minimal effort. There's also bathroom facilities, basketball courts, and plenty of parking.

Restroom is a hit and a miss but its okay semi clean .... 3 different showers and a changing area is helpful. Love the kid's playground so if your kid is like mine they get tired of the sand and water he plays at the playground. There is a basketball court and volley ball net which is awesome. A few table and benches 🤙Place is never too crowded on a weekday💞 hardly any shade so be prepared for lots of sun

A pretty decent beach park popular with locals and visitors alike. Plenty of room to find your spot on the beach and there are shower/bathroom areas here as well. This beach isn't the greatest for swimming/wading because the sand in the water is very "corally" and there are rocks relatively shallow. This place however is great for hanging out and catching sun and perhaps body boarding and surfing. Great view of Honolulu across the water to be had here too!

The beach itself is clean and beautiful. There’s a great view of the city and Diamond Head. You can also watch the air traffic coming into the airport out over the ocean. Sunsets are especially nice here, so are early mornings. There’s usually a couple of fisherman set up and occasionally some surfers. There’s a basketball court, a large field, small playground and what looks to be a run down facility for possibly bathrooms and outdoor showers. Every time I’ve come here there are homeless people camped out under the facility shelter with a whole setup next to the showers. Occasionally I smell a urine odor in the air. I haven’t gone over there because it looks sketchy and I am unsure of the situation going on. There’s about 5 picnic tables back near the grassy area and plenty of beach to share. This place is never crowded on the weekdays and it’s more of a local hangout which is nice for a change. It could use a little sprucing up but for what it is it’s nice and quaint. Parking lot seems safe, although it’s at the dead end of a road and occasionally I see tall piles of trash dumped by the road. Hope this is helpful.

Pu’uloa Beach Park is a laid back place where the locals go for some beach time. The waves are a little strong for swimming but are well suited for surfing. The park offers restrooms, basketball court, softball field and a kids play area. A great place for a weekend cookout and family get together.

Great beach & location! Mostly only locals tend to go here however everyone is welcome as long as you clean up after yourself and have respect for the locals. Surf is a bit rough and even though it's a white sand beach, there are rocks in the surf so use caution! Great place to enjoy great plane spotting - if you are into that!

Nice beach. Quiet during the week. Found some beautiful sea glass in the surf. Watch for the firing range to the left. Can’t go past a certain point when they are firing. Watch for the flag.

Beach is not calm, expect currents and swim at your own risk. No lifeguard on duty. There are benches to eat and bathrooms. If you are visiting I wouldn't waste to much time here. There is a beautiful view of the Waikiki area in the distance.

Beautiful beach. Basketball court, big field for families. Water can be kind of rough so be careful and watch the kids so they don't get too close to the water. Bathrooms don't have doors but are fairly clean

Was originally looking for Ewa beach when I happened upon Puuloa. Just beautiful. Arrived around noon and was not crowded at all. Stayed til sunset and the whole time it was perfect not like the business of Waikiki beach.

Beautiful with nice sand and great waves. Was not very rocky which was a nice change. My only complaint is the number of homeless people sleeping all over the pavilion. 5 had tents and were comfortably camping there when I went by. I was there early so hopefully they’re gone during the day, but this makes me really hesitate to bring my family there.

Went to look at the beach. There was no direct access to the beach, or safe parking to go to the beach. So we didn't get out of the car. 😔

Nice park on the beach. Shelter with picnic tables, bathrooms and showers to wash sand off you after the beach. View of Diamond Head and ships and planes arriving. Play ground for the kiddies. Clean and kept up. Handicapped assessable with parking and paved walkway to shelter.

Wonderful quiet beach, far away from the hustle-and-bustle of Waikiki and other tourist hot-spots! This is more of a secluded place where more locals hang out.

This beach is huge. It has a playground, naturally shaded area with trees for a little party or hangouts, basketball courts, bathrooms (3 stalls in the women’s), and at least 3 showers. The parking lot is a bit small, but there are other areas nearby that you can park your cars.
