👍 This is literally mashed up frozen banana. From the texture, it is amazing that this is pure banana. However I'd take a real banana ice cream over this any day. 4 stars for decorating it well with half a pineapple. However overall this doesn't add up to the hype. My recommendation to the owner is to... People often mention banana, cream, beach, delicious, pineapple, good, soft, serve, Waikiki, free,

However I'd take a real banana ice cream over this any day. 4 stars for decorating it well with half a pineapple. However overall this doesn't add up to the hype. My recommendation to the owner is to do a Dole whip version of this or use real banana ice cream interlaced with the banana cream. Great attempt. Not quite there.

Stop for a grab-n-go refreshing and DAIRY FREE sweet treat on your way from the beach. It's off the beaten path in what I call "surfboard alley" just across from the international market. If frozen treats aren't your thing the nutty buddy is a filling shake and the lemonade drinks are a great pick-me-up.

The best ice cream I ever had! I love that their ice cream is dairy-free. I got the pineapple yacht, the presentation is wonderful, and the ice cream and toppings taste amazing!! An essential addition to anyone's itinerary in Waikiki!

So good!!! Perfect for some with gluten and dairy allergies. The macadamia nut butter was divine. Definitely recommend coming here - fast service even with a long line. I wish I was a local so I could eat this all the time!

My husband and I came to Waikiki knowing we’d want to check out this spot, especially due to it being dairy-free for my husband. We got the chunkadeli, and wish we had returned to try more! The banana flavored soft serve was delicious but not super sweet and went well with the papaya boat (softer and easier to eat in than a pineapple) with dark chocolate, granola, macadamia nut honey butter, honey, and shaved coconut — sooo good! Highly recommend and you can chill at the beach after ordering. A nice photo spot with everyone’s surfboards parked along both sides too.

Lovely location on the beach with all natural fruit flavors - dairy free and gluten free and almost entirely nut free with the exception of macadamia nuts. Incredibly delicious shave ice that is so soft it is like eating the softest snow. We’ve visited many times during our trip - highly recommend!

Really cute place offering delicious dairy free desserts. The location is very unique as well - surrounded by surf boards between the beach and road. We got the "locals only" and "chunkadelic" and enjoyed them both. The Mac nut honey butter tastes amazing!

I ordered The Royal Hawaiian. It was delicious. The coconut milk was a bit overwhelming but wasn’t too bad. A great place to go if you are looking for no added sugar. I was told that it was made with all natural products.

Really dope beach shack right between the main road and the beach. No waiting area, but like everyone else you can stand and take pics of all of the cool boards stored along the walls. My friend and I ordered the Locals Only and the Amazon. They definitely pack a lot of ingredients into each bowl or cup. Prices are reasonable and the everything is really fresh. The shack does get busy throughout the day with all of the beachgoers passing by. Just try to get there early in the AM or the later afternoon to avoid the lines. They have plenty of flavors to choose from and its definitely a fun place to go to grab a snack.

An amazing desert place for all the Vegan food lovers. All their items are dairy free made out of banana and tropical fruits. I got the #5 ‘Locals only’ which was fruity and yet not too sweet. Wait time can be about 15-20 minutes depending on the time of the day. Giving the store location additional charm are the surf boards lined up on both sides of the alley leading to the Waikiki beach. Definitely a ‘must go’ desert spot in the Waikiki beach area.

A must try spot for some really good soft serve that's vegan friendly. We usually get this after out hike at Diamond Head, but it looks like that location closed down. They do have one out in the beach walk area in Waikiki. The snack here is very refreshing and light. I feel like I could eat this all the time and feel good about it.

The girls working at this place are so incredibly sweet! They made my experience even better. I had been eyeing these pineapple boats everywhere, and finally decided to try one from banan. IM SO HAPPY I DID!!! It’s so delicious, and refreshing. It’s also great for a photo prop! Worth the splurge :)

Not bad! First time trying banana ice cream and as the name suggests, it taste like bananas. Definitely not as sweet as regular ice cream, so if you are craving something like soft serve, this might not cure your cravings. But it is a tasty alternative :) the macadamia nut butter complemented well as well as the papaya bowl.

It Island bowl looks great but I wasn't feeling the banana soft serve. Wish they had other flavors/options to choose from like pineapple or even regular soft serve. I love bananas but didn't care for the soft serve.

Oahu local chain serving delicious frozen vegan sweet treats. This little shack installment is strategically placed on the alley halfway to the beach. Looks like you are going to the loading dock, but you are really sneaking into the alley to get a delicious brain freeze.

Got the pineapple yacht. The banana ice cream tasted like frozen smashed banana. Don't have any papaya on it as it should but the rest of the fruit was nice and fresh. The iced latte was nice bit a little better from the aquamin You'll find a 15% off coupon in the booklets on every street corner

Delicious! I got the Original in the cup side and thought the portion was a good size. I especially enjoyed the puffed quinoa. I wasn't sure if the banana flavor was going to be too strong but it wasn't. It only had a hint of banana. Really reminded me of good soft serve icecream but way healthy. Loved it!!

The Pineapple Yacht was a must try of this ice cream shop. it located in a wired passway to the beach which was bit hard to find. Thankfully some one marked the entrance on google review. The Pineapple Yacht was made from local banana and is plant based. For me. the smooth taste beat most other diary free ice cream i have eaten. May is that made of the blue java banana AKA ice cream Banana. Any way i hope if they have develop a pineapple ice cream version of this pineapple yacht. Which will be more awesome. Recommend for everybody to try when visiting Wakiki.

I had never had “banana” ice cream before but it was really stellar, the service was super friendly. This was a perfect after dinner treat without making us feel too full! They also have a nice list of smoothies as well

This was such a fun stop. It's located down a side street lined with surfboards, and they offer a bunch of great flavours. It might take a little while as there can be a line, but it's worth it! Staff were friendly and the banana ice-cream was great. A few people before us got theirs served in pineapple or guava, which looked really tasty too. Get there a little before closing if you are visiting late, as they close promptly at the time listed.

You looking for vegan ice cream, smoothies à la island style?🍦🏝️ I recommend this cute place. Located in a small side street, which has surfboards locked away on the one side and the shop on the other side. The street leads directly to the beach. 🏖️ We got the pineapple yacht and the poolside smoothie. 🍍🥥 Make sure you order without honey 🍯 if you want to make it vegan 🌱 Both were super delicious! 🤤 Definitely recommend! The prices are like everywhere else in Waikiki. 😮‍💨💸

Love the idea of healthier ice-cream-like desert (uses bananas). It was good, particularly with coconut flakes. My one critique is they have a 20% minimum tip default … and it’s a walk up window.

The employees are so friendly and kind. The food is unique and delicious! I wish the location was a little more convenient... but then again if it were it would have lines around the corner.

Hands down Banan was my favorite part of Waikiki! We visited here at least 4 times during our week and a half trip on Oahu. I tried the Chunkadelic, and the Pineapple Yacht. Both were tasty and perfect for the warm weather. Best of all, they were non-dairy! They’re very generous with the portions and toppings so I didn’t need to order extra. I recommend getting the Pineapple yacht for nice photos :)

A cute place with delicious dairy free and vegan soft serve! We ordered the Chunkadelic, which came with Mac nut honey butter, dark chocolate, granola and shaved coconut. The Mac nut honey butter was delicious! It’s located in the alley of surfboards, right about halfway down. A refreshing afternoon treat for those hot sunny days!

Bumped into this place while walking an alley from the beach between a hotel and a parking structure. Would have never found it otherwise. Very good and lots of blending flavors in the original. The actual soft serve banana is on the riper side of taste that made it taste more like it was overripened and ready for banana bread. If you like that you'll love this, but I love less ripe bananas.

A good choice for dairy-free ice cream. The slushed banana felt like real ice cream. One additional upside is they accept a credit card. I thought it was a little bit overpriced, though ($8 per cup).

Such a novel idea for a frozen treat!! Didn’t expect it to taste good, but it did! Hits the spot!!
