Let me first start off by saying that Oahu Island is very beautiful. The hospitality there from the locals is just amazing. In one incident I was walking through the alley way of some homes after visiting Ke iki Beach, and a homeowner offered me an avocado from his tree. Of course I accepted. But the point is that that was very nice of the person to do that. The scenery here is just remarkable. Beautiful sunsets. And beautiful sunrises. In one occasion I spent hours day knapping . I visited in February of 2021, so there wasn't that many people. But there was enough people at this island is beautiful. I do have to caution those who come here for the first time, I got stuck in a Riptide in one occasion. And I'm not sure if it's common in this particular Shore. It wasn't bad but it was bad enough for me to struggle a bit. I hadn't realized that I was in a Riptide. So I try to fight against it. Of course I am aware that you're not supposed to fight against it but rather let it take you out as far is it goes. It'll eventually bring you back in a circular motion. The most common way to escape is to swim diagonally, in order to escape its grip. Nevertheless the waters are very warm and you can actually snorkel there. But I would recommend the snorkeling at three tables Beach. Or at Shark's Cove. Overall I had a great time, and although I visited during the covid-19 era, the Hawaiian government does a great job in order to keep its citizens safe from the covid-19 also the visitors safe from the covid-19

Rating 2 stars simply as a warning that the waves and current here are no joke. It’s a beautiful and quiet beach, but I recently had a terrifying experience being caught in a rip current here with my girlfriend, and just barely getting out in time. Hope this serves as a warning for others to beware, even if the waves are not big (ours weren’t very large, but we still got caught).

I love this place. A great spot to watch the waves, and hang in the sand. And you can always catch an amazing sunset. Never too crowded.

They don't call this side of the island the Seven Mile Miracle for nothing. Truly one of a kind place to enjoy gorgeous sunsets.

Great spot to get away from the crowds. The colors of the water are beautiful. No shade though so bring a tent or umbrella if you plan to go.The waves on the shore break are pretty heavy so be careful out there if you go into the water.

Best shorebreak during the winter season. Exercise extreme caution on the reef. Calm and shallow waters can turn into Tsunami-like situations when a set of high surf comes pounding in.

Beautiful beach but the waves and current were too much for even my husband and I, let alone our kids. The sand was also different than other beaches - larger pebbles that stuck to literally everything! Hard to find parking and access to beach.

The beach was big enough to handle the crowds. The parking wasn't though, the parking lot was full and cars were in line to park. We opted to park on the road above (yikes); there are trails going down from the road, but it was a bit dicey (we returned via the parking lot and then the road). Once you leave the parking lot it's a bit of a walk to the facilities and beach. The beach is big and the sights are beautiful. The water is clear and you can see the bottom of catch a calm water. There were big waves when we were there and we spotted plenty of surfers in the water looking for the perfect wave so if you are a surf addict this is one of the best places. It's as beautiful as described. It's a simply wonderful. Highly recommended!

It was fun to watch the surfers and the waves crashing. Not so great for swimming or playing in the water.

Even a cloudy day out here is better than in the city.

Gorgeous beach with plenty of space to tan and chill without getting snuck up on my waves or being close to other people. Definitely not a good swim spot. Waves are rough in the winter and the break is right on the shore so beware. Lifeguards patrol up and down on their 4-wheelers so that’s reassuring! Love going here.

Gorgeous and huge beach. Pretty views of the mountains and nice, turquoise water. It can get really intense in the winter though so if in doubt, don't go out.

Beautiful beach away from crowds. Not really good for swimming though. Waves can be a little overwhelming
