🫀 Disappointing. There is a 100 yard path near the visitor center that has some interesting and well-marked trees and flowers, but after that is just grass and the usual plants you'll see in any neighborhood. There is an overall unwelcoming feel, littered with signs prohibiting most activities. You... People often mention lake,

Disappointing. There is a 100 yard path near the visitor center that has some interesting and well-marked trees and flowers, but after that is just grass and the usual plants you'll see in any neighborhood. There is an overall unwelcoming feel, littered with signs prohibiting most activities. You are questioned as you enter the main gate, your licence plates are recorded, and you're warned about speed limit. They even prohibit photography "near" the road, although I doubt they have such authority.

Very nice area with beautiful views! Fish in the pond will come to near you. You can rest and appreciate nature around you.

Lots and lots of goldfish. This trail towards the lake accessible right from the visitors center has many beautiful plants with their appropriate signs. Most of the plants you see on the posters are in this section so definitely walk this trail. There are bathrooms at the visitors center and halfway down the trail. Nice wide open spaces great for social distancing and for families. Bring food to feed the thousands of goldfish! It’s quite a sight! It will take 10/15 min to walk down to the lake. There is a paved path for wheelchairs for half of it. Maybe there is more but I didn’t walk around the whole lake.

This flood control project has the look of a high end paid garden. It has beautiful views with stunning mountains behind it, well maintained grounds and a lake. Lots of information from helpful staff and nice day use facilities. Free in 2018. Locals take wedding photos here.

Beautiful park/arboretum. Great place to take the family. There's lots of seemingly isolated sections with their own parking areas so if you want to get away and relax without having to put in much effort, this is a nice place to go. Lots of pretty little view points, a lake, picnic areas, etc.

Leaving review just to clear up someone else's review. The entire place is the botanical garden. Not just that small 100 yard path leading to the pond. There are dozens of areas throughout the park with different trees and flowers and such.

Was a nice botanical garden. My expectation of it was too high I believe. Mainly had trees, not too many flowers, at least up till the lake. Didn't wander beyond the lake.

One of our favorite places to bring the kids to feed fish and ducks. Run around in grassy areas and look at the different plants. Great place to be outdoors together.
