Smaller store, but super convenient to Salt Lake and the airport to get most stuff and the staff is really friendly.

This is one of the better Safeway stores on the island I really love coming here it's always so many items ready to go

Shantel, a store manager, who is always helpful, happened to be in the deli when we stopped by. She always seems so upbeat and willing to do what she can to help the customers have a great experience!

You can still see my original review below, however the store called to apologize for the disconnect in attentiveness and forwarded me to the Albertson's corporate offices where I was assured that there is no such policy about not helping clients who are desperately seeking assistance finding their mobile phones. I was assured that the person who misinformed me was new, and this may have been a policy from another company. I was also assured that Daniel would be noted and recognized as going above and beyond the call of duty in assisting me. Thanks for the follow up, Safeway/Albertson's! I have a contradictory review. The store only gets a 1 as I was informed that if a client loses their mobile, the staff are not permitted to call it. Fortunately, as it was well after midnight, they had a little wiggle room to be human. Thank you especially to Daniel H! Also calling the number is useless if you would like to speak to administration. It leaves you listenening to music, then rings a bit, and then hangs up. This, in and of itsef, is unforgiveable. I wanted to praise David for helping me find my phone in the darkened churchgrounds where I had dined, but I was afraid he would be reprimanded instead. If no one had helped me, i would be out a thousand dollar phone and i would never be shopping at Safeway again. Yay David and the late shift!!! Booo Safeway's ill executed and utterly lacking in aloha company protocols.

A grocery store with beautiful fresh fruits and veggies as you walk into the store they could available as well as fresh cooked food daily fried Chicken meal combos fresh baked bread in the bakery/deli area... household items : cups bowls plates Cutlery plastic and silver .... also available beach-ready items like chairs coolers ice packs ice snacks fresh fruit cups and Deli items- sandwiches prepackaged... weekly sales and a discount card as well ....spacious grocery aisles ....grocery carts available for usage, and handbasket as well . indoor restroom facility . friendly staff ...good lighting...air conditioning through out the building... ample parking... comparable to Publix at home(Florida) the aisles are a spacious cheese baked goods Dairy not to exclude ice cream chocolate vanilla and a large assortment of other flavors as well and the Apple drinks are also available just like here in the Mainland just to give a few examples

Management is super helpful amd friendly. Some of the staff go above and beyond and are really polite and helpful Love shopping here, just wished they didn't run out of so many items.

The cashier is not a friendly person, I went to buy a watermelon yesterday and I saw the label was $6.99 each, but when I paid it showed more than $10, I asked the cashier why it didn't match the price on the label and she retorted I picked it up by mistake, and later I discovered that there were two price tags on a watermelon, and the supermarket tried to overcharge me. What makes me even more angry is that the watermelon I opened today has gone bad. What makes me even more angry is that I bought some items at noon today and was about to pay. The cashier on the far left, a middle-aged woman, asked me if I needed a shopping bag. I originally said no, but then I thought about the fact that there were many more in the car. I changed my mind about the things and I politely told her that I still needed shopping bags, but she looked at me angrily and said, didn’t you say you don’t need it? As if I had done something wrong. This put me in a bad mood all day today. I really hate people who get angry at strangers for no reason. Such unreasonable people should not appear in life to affect other people's beautiful day. It's really disgusting.

Store Mng Diana is very rude and unprofessional. She contradicts herself and lacks people skills. Safeway should hire better people than Diana to be store managers.

One of the smallest Safeway. Good workers, limited selection. One of the only places around here. PLUS POINTS for their single rose selection.

Safeway at Salt Lake Shopping Center usually has everything a cook needs. Safeway gives free membership cards for great special discounts, and if you have a Safeway card, you also earn gas discount points. Open until 2am so shopping with no crowds is awesome.

No hot food after 8pm available. Poor selection of cold food. When I made a polite comment about it to assistant manager M, I was given an expired coupon (it was humiliating to peddle expired coupons in front of a full line) :). Twice in 1 month their bags ( bagged by safeway employees) ripped with my produce/drinks destroyed. Even tonight, after humiliating myself with their expired coupon, when I vowed to never shop at another safeway again, I grabbed the safeway bag out of my car and the handle ripped and my food was rolling all over sidewalk. Otherwise, the night shift employees are nice, store is clean but always out of good drinks and food.

Appreciative this location was open on Thanksgiving. Thankful for a great teller, Aina! Great attitude and an example of why we love going to Safeway! Although they were busy, the checkout was fast! Happy Thanksgiving!

Store is always clean. I especially like the produce department. Nice selection of fruits and vegetables. I am always impressed with the cashiers. They really do have a difficult job but they are always courteous and extremely helpful. Very good store. All of the employees are helpful. Thank-you🙏

This store is conveniently located in Salt Lake area. It is pretty close to the Honolulu Daniel K. Inoue International Airport. The don’t have bakery on site. Deli is a bit small. They have two separate red tag (quick) sale places in the store, and they are neatly organized.

Always a good shopping experience here. Workers are friendly all around.

This morning I visited this grocery store I saw the deal on drinks at the right corner buy two get two than I grabbed four drinks, the old lady (i know her name but I don't wanna put in public) cashier charge me for four when I told her about the deal she started teaching me 2+2 equal 4, she got mad without reason she didn't even explain what was the deal for (actually Tht deal was for Pepsi & Mountain Dew not for coke n sprite which I didn't get). I wasn't expected that kind of customer service.

Nice Safeway good place to get munchies if your staying on the bulivard. Crazy parking lot try to park on top on the store it's less trouble there is a lot up there.

This Safeway has some good stuff like different spices for cooking. Also the $5 deals has gotten better. Sometimes they sell out of stuff on sale quickly or they are just not restocking items quickly enough. You get a 4☆ instead of 3☆. You get a 1 star rating boost so keep up the hard work!

This is the only grocery store I visit because I live right across the street. There is no problem with the quality or how much stock of food they carry or the staff.With such a dense population in the Salt Lake area, you would think this store would have been remodeled at least a few times since its been here for like 40 yrs. And that answer is NOPE. This place has not changed since day 1. I know this because I have lived in the area before there was a shopping center. There is more foot traffic than either the new Beretania street or Kapahulu street by far. In fact the entire Salt Lake Shopping center looks like a dump.

Always good deals for the members and good pricing if you are not a member. Customer service is always on point even on a busy day. Come out on Fridays for the best deals. Usually have anything I need in terms of food; but, they may not always have the particular food I am looking for. This is okay with me. Update: Still great service from the staff. If you have questions they will answer to the best of their knowledge and if they do not have the answers they will get help from someone that does.

Typical Hawaii expensive. Most of the "club price" deals just bring the price to normal, but there are a few exceptions, and not just on rhinoceros foreskin chips, lowtide scented candles, or koala liver pâté. Also, the parking lot has plenty of methwalkers to spice up an otherwise mundane trip.

this could seriously be the worst safeway on this island for the following reasons; lazy/angry staff, long lines to check out. limited choices for items they don't carry the same stuff as other stores. and the worst is their stock. everytime i go they are out of items. can you see how much time you would waste here.

I love this Safeway. The friendly staff makes it an enjoyable place to shop 😊
