This beach is a must for small children and dogs! It was a bit crowded when we visited on a Sunday afternoon but everyone was so spread out so its easy to find a spot to relax. The parking lot was full but there is plenty of side street parking within a short walking distance. Water was shallow and a little murky but the great mountain views made up for it.

This is my favorite place so far to hang out on the beach or chillax in the ocean- beautiful-scenic & gorgeous blue ocean. Grassy area's to lay out or set up cook out area. The ocean has sand bars so you walk out a long way before getting in deep. Lots of places to park- though on the street.

A great beach ⛱️ and the reef is awesome and goes way out and safe for keiki and dogs. It also has an area for your charcoal when your done. There's 2 showers, bathrooms and a water fountain. Dog friendly and basketball court and bathrooms are clean. There are picnic tables there too.

This place is so cute. Don’t know how to explain but I feel it’s a cute place. Good for having a chill time breathing in and out 😎 Now it’s my favourite place to stop by.

Amazing dog beach! If your dogs is afraid of the water this is a great introduction to water. Super shallow and calm. The park also have a big grassy area for some fetch or light walking.

Nice place to dip your toes in the water. For tourists, I wouldn't say it's a place to visit for a traditional beach day. Lots of hard coral to walk on. There is a lot of free parking. There is litter around the parking lot.

Beautiful, but water kind of dirty, and park is not well-maintained by Parks Department. Democrats allowing Homeless to creep into area.

Awesome place to hang out and enjoy the weather and sunset. Plenty of stone picnic tables/seating. Not too crowded but expect multiple families gathered around coming here in the afternoon before sunset.

Quiet and relaxing. Great views. Water is very shallow, good for walking with kids. Lots of dogs off leash.

This is a family - and dog friendly little beach also good for fishing as you can walk easily way out in the shallow water. As beaches in Hawai'i go it's on the humble side, but still lovely!

Was no one was here when I went on a Thursday afternoon. The water is shallow for quite a far distance out. Walked around the sand bar and over to the nature preserve to check it out. Ground gets a little soft and sketch over there. Didn't go to far. Posted up on the sand bar to relax and read. Walked out in to the water and it never went past my knees (i'm 5'7"). I did it barefoot and feet were ok. Not too rocky. Could have also kept shoes on if you're feet are sensitive. There is a place to shower off and standard beach restrooms. Ton of dogs. Both on and off leash.

Quiet but very large beach. Not a touristy spot, more for locals. When the tide is out you can walk very very far out. Also good for digging in sand and finding crabs and shrimp or shells!

It's a very pretty beach, just not meant for swimming. It has a lovely view of Koko Head and the nearby marina. This beach is good for dog owners and picnic goers. Be aware shade can be very limited, so bring an umbrella or some sort of covering.

Restrooms clean and usable. Ocean and beach are clear of seaweed and almost no rocks. Very clean play area and many clean picnic tables. Very little shade trees

Great for dogs to run around in! But don’t let your dog drink the saltwater, it can cause dehydration and stool issues

It's been 8 years... So nice to just relax there at night. You can find many other friends there like crabs, shrimps.. You can fishing there. So quiet and no wind at night at Dec.

Stopped to kiteboard during afternoon with SW wind. Nice setup area on a grassy beach. Launch is after a long walk out in a low tide but then there is a nice channel to ride in. Have to watch for reef sticking out but plenty of room to have fun in both flat and waves .

Hard not to love this park. Shallow water, lightly used, seems to be dog friendly. Restroom and shower.

This shoreline is pretty awesome when the tide goes way out around this time of year.

It Was Kinda Dirty. Could Have Just Been The Wind Bringing Trash On The Beach. The People Were Friendly And The Dogs Were Super Cute. I Mean It's Hawaii And It's A Beach. I Think It's Honestly All Locals And I Was The Only Silly Tourist That Showed Up. If Your A Tourist I Would Recommend You Find Another Beach.

A beautiful local park. Very rarely do I see tourists here. On a low tide you can walk out onto the sandbar for a half mile. Borders a bird marsh and sanctuary.

Quiet local beach with a basketball court on the beach and clean toilet and showers. It is the shallowest beach I have ever been to. Great for dogs and young children, not so much for someone looking to swim laps.
