Great jungle hike! Slippery mud everywhere can be steep and slick at times. I felt like a true adventurer getting to this waterfall. Weather you are local or in Hawaii for a few days this is a great place to see!

Easy hike which ends with a beautiful waterfall! It can get a little muddy, however it add to your adventure side! A beautiful hike in the tropical jungle with many tropical flowers, trees, and bamboo forests. Make sure you have enough water, as the weather there is always humid; another good hint would be to carry a mosquito spray.

Manoa Falls, Oahu You arrive at a carpark and centre which includes a small store. The car park opens at 8am and costs $7. The Manoa Falls Trail is a really scenic walk with untouched bushland. It’s relatively easy although you walk over rocks covered with mud (don’t wear your favourite white shoes), so it can be a little slippery. The trail ends at a small lookout and pool. The day we went the falls were not like the promo photos due to the drought, but still awesome to reach. We did the trail in 45min up, and 30mins back. #ManoaFalls

Parking is 7$ - credit card only It’s a good hike - about 40 minutes average pace to go And 35 to come back It’s rocky and must not the best place for your new white running shoes. The falls are really nice

A nice somewhat easier hike to get to a beautiful waterfall where people will be taking lots of pictures. It is something nice to do while on vacation rather than walking around waikiki. I highly recommend it for the pictures you can get alone! The trail itself is nice and scenic as well

This is a beautiful hike to Manoa Falls, when you picture hiking on Hawaii, this will meet and exceed your expectations! Parking is $5, so be sure to have some cash to pay attendant. The hike is not difficult for most, but you will get muddy, so be sure to wear shoes to navigate slippery and muddy trails at times. Be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks, so you can enjoy the trail and relax at the Manoa Falls before heading back down. Be advised it is recommended not to swim in the water at the base of the waterfall due to bacteria that is in the water. I highly recommend to bring a change of clothes, towels, and an extra pair of shoes or flip flops for the ride home! The trail is pet friendly, but they will be muddy at the end, so bring towels and blankets for their ride home as well!

Very nice short hike! Took about 2hrs, start to finish. Tennis shoes a must though we seen alot of flip flops (not suggested, very slippery). Great for kids and beautiful streams and of course the waterfall!

Nice little hike with lots of natural beauty and wonder. Surprisingly, most of the plants are not native to the island...like the giant trees you will see. I was hoping to be able to do a little more at the falls. It looks like some of the areas were once accessible but are now roped off...maybe they are now too dangerous. A local told me it wasn't worth my time and there were better spots on the island...I should have listened. But this will be good enough for most visitors. You don't need a guide and I wouldn't recommend hiring one.

Heavenly hike! Make sure to wear sneakers cause the trail is not paved and it gets really muddy. The hike is not that long and doable for everyone. Go for a quick dip when you reach the waterfall. Water is a bit cold but SO worth it! This is was an amazing experience, must do for anyone visiting Oahu.

$7 parking (cash or card) for non members of special groups (military etc…) Beautiful hike, definitely a jungle. I went in the dry season and it was slightly muddy, can’t imagine how wet or muddy it will be during wet seasons. Definitely worth it. Beginner friendly. The section that is the foot of the waterfall is officially closed off but people do ignore the signs and swim at the foot. Venture at your own risk.

This forest reminded me of Jurassic World, oh wait that's because it was filmed here, along with many other Hollywood films. Muddy trails, gigantic trees, numerous plant species and that beautiful waterfall at the end makes this one of the most memorable hikes I've ever been. And for the love of God, please don't bring your new pair of shoes.

45 minutes walk is nothing for someone who wanted to enjoy the hike to Manoa falls. Bring you bottle and make sure you get some sweet water, so sweet πŸ˜‹ I have to hike one a week with my girls.

Overall not a bad hike. The trail is a bit steep and muddy. If you are into nature trails, I would recommend it.

Good hike with continual rise in elevation. Worked up a good sweat. Tips: wear good shoes. I wouldn't recommend bringing young kids. Bring water. PLEASE, PLEASE obey the signs and don't go over the edge into the water. I couldn't believe the slobs showing such disrespect.

Hike to reach the falls was a little shorter and easier than expected. As a result I took the option to continue hike towards Tantalus. All routes are very well signposted. The route to Manoa Falls is in good condition and although it is a pretty constant incline I would say it is accessible for most with an average level of fitness. Hiking boots would be beneficial but I managed it in running trainers (as it is all I had) in fairly wet conditions The setting and sounds are amazing. You really are entering the jungle

Disappointing. The waterfall has been reduced to a trickle on the day we visited (10/15). Understandably the water flow varies depending on the weather, but why didn't the staff/parking attendant inform us of such? The actual hike itself, as always, was fun & scenic. You can expect to see some cool birds and trees, but not always a waterfall.

Beautiful waterfalls and definitely worth the hike. Be careful due to the ground having a tendency to become slippery (would definitely recommend joggers instead of thongs). Take water and don’t rush, make sure you enjoy the amazing biodiversity of the place :)

Great Experience. We were a little sore the next day. Lol. The guide Kawika Carlson was good and knowledgeable. So get your hiking shoes and drinking water and have fun.

Hike was good, beautiful views with a continuous slight incline. Path is rocky, so wearing good closed toe shoes would be best. Path has some muddy areas that were a bit slippery. Not a large Waterfall, steady stream like a faucet. Lots of people on trail with a few places to stop and rest.

A really awesome experience. The views are a breathtaking experience and imho the hike could even be lovelier than the falls. I recommend going here if you are staying in the Waikiki area and you could probably either Uber or drive.
