Kai’s coffee moved in recently to Waikiki Shopping Plaza 1st Fl. This was the first time ordering turkey pesto sandwich and it was delicious! I wanted more again soon! Picture says it all.

Best coffee in Honolulu! Kai Coffee was a favorite of mine in 2018 and hasn’t changed in 2021. Friendly staff with quality coffee! They usually have a line, but it moves fast and I’m happy to see they are busy! One of the only coffee shops with a smaller sized iced drink with 2 shots of coffee.

Very busy coffee shop, as expected from most coffee places in Waikiki. I did enjoy that it was in the courtyard of a hotel resort so there are seats near a water feature area. Lines are long so prepare to wait! However, the barista made the latte so quickly, I was impressed. The latte itself was decent, tasted like usual 3rd wave coffee. Tried the Kai latte which has macadamia nut syrup and I didn't really taste the flavor of the macadamia much, aside from the sugar.

Great beach front location and friendly staff, but diluted latte, so much cream can’t even taste coffee. I wish I asked how many espresso shots they use for their medium sized latte. $5.25 to stimulate local economy😆🙄

I love their Kai latte, it’s delicious. It has this macadamia taste and it’s not too sweet. It’s good cold or hot. I also tried their chai tea and again, it’s not overly sweet like the ones in Starbucks or most places. The prices are high but it’s in a touristy area and located in the Hyatt Regency plaza. Try it if you like good lattes!

When I visit a new cafe shop, I always get the most basic drink - Café Latte. Kai Latte is probably the best latte I had on my trip to Hawaii. Their house blend has the tasting notes of macadamia nuts, chocolate and guava. all of my favorite things. The latte is smooth and just the right amount of sweetness, not overpowering. It was so good that I immediately purchase their Kai House Blend coffee beans. Tip: if this one doesn't have the item (i.e coffee beans) you want, you can walk 0.1 miles to the other location.

Loved this place! Located in the shops on the first floor below the Hyatt- it’s right next to the waterfalls. The service was great, the coffee was delicious and I loved the breakfast sandwich! Definitely suggest this place if you’re in Waikiki.

Probably the best coffee in Waikiki. We tried the Kai latte iced and a caramel frappe. We also tried their breakfast wrap and deluxe breakfast sandwich. The aioli is delicious! Great breakfast and we were able to find seating to enjoy our meal. The shop is stroller/ wheelchair accessible. It is a bit small. The customer service is the best we’ve received on the island. Highly recommend! There will be a line. Be patient, it is worth the wait.

The line & wait times can be AWFUL (20 - 30min), but the drinks are great! I personally recommend the Macadamia Frappe w/coffee. Delicious.

Great service! Loved that they are on top of making sure masks are worn by tourists. We’ve got kanaka here to protect. Coffee was delicious!! I think this will be my new spot!

Their espresso drinks really are delicious. Expect to wait up to 20 minutes and you won’t be disappointed. Tried their Kai Latte (macadamia nut flavored) with an extra shot and I was worried it might be too sweet, but it was spot on 🤌 Also had their standard cafe latte with oat milk and it’s about as good as I’ve ever had. Friendly barista staff too! ☕️

It was delicious! Really smooth.. Not bitter or burned. I would have given it a five star but a few of the employees were really cranky and sort of rude to me... However, a few of them gave me excellent suggestions on what to order and were sweet. Very knowledgeable about the menu and product. Can't beat the views that you get by walking out the front to sip on wherever you order!

I visited this place for the first time. This location has good espresso, capuchins, and iced drinks. Place was visually peaceful with the waterfall. If you are in the area, take the time and stop by. Highly recommend.

The service for the first few days was great, even with the long lines. But today is different. I think it depends on the crew. Service is slow at best, 20 minutes for coffee. I'm sure it's not always this way. The coffee is good & the food is too. I'll be back.

Oh my, the best coffee I’ve ever had. It was so creamy & delicious. I ordered a large iced kai latte with macadamia milk. If you don’t have a nut allergy, i would definitely recommend ordering this milk. The banana was also great! The workers are really nice and helpful. Please stop by if you have a chance.

located in a hotel, busy with guests most of the time. i got in around 6pm, very few ppl. the barista ignored my presence from the beginning, no hello no aloha. wanted to get a hot sandwich, but saw fruit flies in their pastry cabinet. pretty grossed out, so i left. not a good experience at all.

Absolutely delicious coffee. Some of the best coffee ever had. Smooth and flavorful, not bitter. Properly extracted. You won’t be disappointed.

Amazing people! No matter how long the waiting line is, they are very calm and respectful, finishing all orders in a timely manner. They make a great cappuccino!

I always have a difficulty to find a good cappuccino but in Honolulu my first choice was a winner! I chose Hai Coffee at Hyatt based more on my intuition and I was right. First of all they can make small cappuccino (8 ounces) but it is better to order in a cup not a paper cup because paper cups are bigger so you get more milk. Cappuccino is really tasty with good amount of coffee and foam milk as it should be. The service is good but you have to be very clear what you order. In this case I had to clearly say that I want small 8 ounces cappuccino. When my friend was ordering for me and he only said small I got the bigger cup that means more milk that means not good. When I went to say that I wanted small cappuccino the waiter got a little bit defensive and started arguing with me that my friend ordered medium. Well, I don't know at what point was a misunderstanding but it would be nicer that the waiter just re make the cappuccino. He obviously did but with kind of attitude and this time it was just like a coffee with milk with just a little bit od foam at the top. Nevertheless I was still going there for my cappuccino because it is worth it.

Kai Coffee is some of the absolute best coffee on the island, hands down. The beans are fresh. The macadamia nut coffees/frappes are the best. So good that we’ll walk the whole strip just to get to it. We buy the beans to brew at home. The house blend is the winner. Picked up some extra fancy today but haven’t brewed it yet. The bros working the counter are all friendly and quick. This location is really small on the inside but there’s plenty seating in the courtyard. Getting to this place is easy on foot. Basically, you can get to it from any entrance on the block. It’s immediately across from Dylan’s Candy Bar. You can’t miss it with all the blue umbrellas. Looking forward to the next cup.

Their Frappe is delicious! Got it multiple times during my stay there. Be prepared to be in line for 20-30min to order your coffee in the morning. Drinks are usually ready within 5 minutes after ordering. But food can take longer. Friendly staff!

Love Kai Coffee but I always have trouble at this location. They either get the order wrong, miss items or forget to call for the hot food. I do love the quality of their coffee and I like their Kai Latte with macadamia. The location is inside the Hyatt hotel. They have a few tables surrounded by a beautiful and relaxing waterfall feature.

Highly recommended if you are into ‘Aussie’ coffee. The queue here is not as long but the coffee is definitely very good. It’s full bodied, not bitter, right temperature, and the milk is creamy & smooth.

Great service. Amazing matcha latte with coconut milk. Get your caffeine fix however you like it. If it’s busy and you don’t want to wait in line - order a plain cold brew and walk out in 3min flat Enjoy!

Went there about half an hour before closing and got regular coffee with cream. It was a little bitter and not piping hot, like it was in a carafe for a few hours. I get it. It was 30 minutes to close. There was also a line and one guy working. Again, right before closing. I’ll try again this week.
