Delicious healthy smoothie bowls...and they open early! Trying to find a healthy breakfast in the early morning is tough, but The Sunrise Shack in Waikiki opens at 6 a.m., so they have you covered! The Monkey Bowl was super rich and yummy and my daughters loved the basic acai bowl and banana bread.

I was in the mood for something peanut butter. I got the small and I’m pretty full. I regret not doing a combo with the monkey bowl and classic açaí. Now I have to come back for the açaí!! I’m sure that’s the best seller. Love the beach girl vibe and the toppings here are the best. The hot classic bullet was just what I need for a pick me up. My first time trying vegan coffee. I think I'm going to stick to my basic coffee with soy or regular milk. Edit: I tried their Shibuya location (review available) and the açaí was quite disappointing after experiencing the real thing in Hawaii. Great location right in the heart of Waikiki! Their tropical bowl is superb, the blend is solid, not watery, can taste fresh pineapples! Also liked their papaya toppings, it’s a ball of smashed papayas than chunks, with some coconut flakes sprinkled on top. The reduction of 1 star is the açaí bowl, it tasted too much of frozen bananas and the consistency is watery.

Love the experience and the food here. They have many location and I went to the one in a hotel near Waikiki beach. Everything I got was delicious but I have to say the papaya bowl is a must have if you're bot allergic to peanut butter. There will be a Wow factor after eating it. Foods are super fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!!!

I am obsessed with this place! I wish there was one back home!!! I couldn’t help but stop in every morning. The açaí bowl can’t remember the name but it had peanut butter, banana, cacao bits, coconut, chocolate almonds this was my jam I always got the larger size Great for sharing. I also tried the papaya bowl but it’s not filling enough for 2. They also serve bullet coffee. I tried the coconut coffee it was good great flavor just remember to ask for it sweetened as it not normally sweet.

Delicious acai bowls! Good portions, serves one person. They have creative flavors! The one with spirulina (blue) was good with fresh berries and granola.

Stopped here on our last day based on a friend's recommendation. It's located inside the Outrigger hotel right when you enter you'll most likely see a line. I got the Acai Bowl and the husband got the Bullet Coffee. The Acai bowl was just okay and the Bullet coffee was described as watered down coffee. It was an okay spot just not great but seemed to be very busy.

We went here almost every morning for breakfast. The smoothie bowls were so good and very good for you too. I felt so satisfied after eating them. My favorite was definitely the tropical bowl because of the fresh pineapple. The coffee was so delicious, they mainly serve bullet coffee, which again made me feel so good. It’s not too hot so you can drink it right away for the most part. They are located in a hotel where if you keep walking back, you will reach the beach and you can have breakfast on the beach. Good place if you want a healthy and fresh breakfast. It’s also a really cute and positive vibe in the store. Also the paper straws for smoothies really hold up.

This place made the most delicious smoothies I've had. I don't think I can reasonably enjoy a place like Jamba Juice after tasting these smoothies. The place also has such a happy vibe - once you get over the initial shock of all the bright sunshine yellow, it's really uplifting. I didn't get a chance to try their açai bowls or coffee before vacation ended, but this place is on the top of my list to revisit when I come back! One note: we did a couple circles before finding this place because we didn't notice it said it's inside the Outrigger hotel. It's inside just to the left of the escalators.

Solid breakfast spot by Waikiki beach. I ordered a small Tropical Smoothie Bowl and it was a good breakfast portion for about $12. Add on options (fruits, seeds, nut butters, protein powders) range from $0.50-0.75 and I like that the menu has reccomended add ons for the smoothie bowls! The Tropical Smoothie Bowl was just ok. The base was a bit on the icy side and flavour did not stand out. I wish there was more than one fruit topping included. Short line to order at 9am but the food was served quickly and the staff was very friendly!

This was one of the best breakfast places we have come across while on vacation! Although the line was outrageously long, it was worth every second of it! My acai bowl was AMAZING to say the least! This is definitely a must even though it may seem a little pricey, it's worth it!

Love love love the açaí bowls here. Pro tip; because it’s always packed and constantly has a line, order online and do pick up. Walk right up, grab your bowls, and walk a block down to Waikiki to sit and enjoy. Loved this place so much.

We stopped here for a quick breakfast and tried two different açaí bowls. The monkey bowl and the tropical bowl. The tropical bowl was the winner for us. Like most places you do pay extra for any toppings, so we didn’t bother adding any and just enjoyed them as they were and I my opinion no need to add additional toppings - the bowls are super delicious as is. The only thing that could be improved is the system for calling out orders. The location is small and when orders are called out, it’s hard to hear or get to the front to pick it up. I would expect to pay about $15-20 per person.

My doctor recommended me this place as the place that has the best açaí bowl in Waikiki. I was so excited to come and tried it knowing that it’s just two minutes away from my hotel. I went there, asked some questions to the staff but by the way she answered my questions, I feel like she was not so friendly nor welcoming. Regardless, I purchased it anyway. The açaí was good, but I think they put some frozen bananas mixed in the açaí bowl. For those of you who likes frozen banana, you will enjoy it. But frozen banana it’s not my favorite. If I’ve known about it, I’ll order something else. Why 5 stars? I wrote this to the review that they had on my online payment and the staff responded to me and handled it really well. I wasn’t expecting that the staff would go above and beyond in response to my opinion. I can see that they are serious about making sure they offer the best quality and costumer service in at their place. I’m sure the other things would taste amazing in this place. They have lots of good reviews. I just happened to have my personal taste about the açaí bowl. I love the sunny decorations that they have. It’s unique, cheery, bright and the atmosphere is very welcoming. My daughter loves the rainbow painting on their wall and enjoyed sitting at their bench while enjoying the yummy treats they have. We’ll give other bowls or smoothie a try once we go back there again.

My visit to the Sun Rise Shack at Waikiki Shopping Center was a delightful experience. It was my first time trying the Monkey Bowl, and it was an absolute delight. The tropical bowl was equally delicious. What made the experience even better was the friendly staff who greeted me with a warm welcome. The menu had a variety of options besides açai bowls, including coffee, breakfast items, different types of salads, and more. Additionally, they offer souvenirs like stickers and T-shirts, making it a one-stop spot for both a tasty meal and keepsakes. Having visited several Sun Rise Shacks during my time in Oahu, I can confidently say that this was the best one. If you’re in Waikiki and craving a delicious breakfast or snack, don’t miss out on this spot.

We had two smoothie bowls for breakfast and both of them were super delicious. We had the small ones but don’t let the size fool you—they’re full of healthy fats therefore are very satisfying.

The atmosphere is nice and the staffs are friendly. Only thing was the açai bowl wasn’t fresh. There were ice crystals every bite and it wasn’t smooth at all. For that I give it a 3 star. Also the açai bowl doesn’t come with strawberries! It was an additional $2 about.

Good food with OK service. We had a bowl and vegan sandwich one day, and a bowl with bullet coffee another day. The bowls and sandwich were good. The bullet coffee lacked flavor.

I was disappointed with this place since I’m a fan of açaí bowls. This location is not really a standalone shop but rather one of the stalls in the Outrigger hotel so to find it you look for the main hotel entrance and walk up the ramp. I ordered and paid for a basic açaí bowl and the price here felt fairly high for what you get. A lot of the bowl was granola and the açaí base that we got was icy and flavorless. This location seems more targeted at tourists and this shop is now more of a chain so I’d skip and find another place in town.

Of the different Sunrise Shack locations I’ve been to, this one I like best. The bro working the register was friendly and helpful. And professional! We walked in before closing and he had our bowls out to us in under five minutes. They weren’t busy so the service was super fast. The açaí bowls were delicious! Honestly, between Da Health Cove and this place, they’re both my favorite spots for the best açaí bowls on the island. They’re not too sweet or have a dozen different ingredients. They’re açaí bowls. And they’re good. To get to this place, enter the walkway to the left of Na Hoku. You’ll see these guys at the end of the walkway to the left. You can’t miss it. The shop is actually visible from the road. If you’re looking for some of the best açaí bowls on the island, look no further. There are multiple locations so you’re almost guaranteed to be near one. Mahalo for keeping it real!

This place is located inside the Outrigger hotel along the Waikiki strip. The place is pretty small and does not really offer any dining spaces. We ordered the acai bowl and took it with us. The bowl looked pleasant, but I felt that it was lacking something in the taste. Not sure if it's just an off day.

A beautiful display of cultural drink choices. Definetley a shack alure but NOT lacking in taste or affordability. A pleasant treat on a warm day. I appreciate the warm welcome and the knowledge of selections available to me provided by staff.(a fun chat and a free banana bread to prove a successful return customer) 5star

My daughter’s been wanting to try açaí flavor. The medium açaí bowl was enough for my daughter and I to split. It was tasty and filling. The classic bullet was okay, nothing to rave about. Expect a wait, like any other establishment. Though the lady could have not waited for 3 more coffee orders before making mine, not sure if she’s waiting for the other crew to make them since she’s taking orders or that’s just how they operate. Cute little place though. Popular with the millennials.

Literally the best smoothie I have ever had. The blue dream smoothie was literally a dream to drink. It reminded me of the gogurts I had as a kid.

I really want to give these guys a 5 star review because their coffee is truly stellar. However, they don't seem to care about the pandemic at large, as they are not wearing masks or practicing social distancing at their north shore establishment. Though the establishment is outside, it is often overcrowded making it impossible to safely social distance and order. I really hope they make it safer to order their awesome coffee soon. Why not practice pandemic health safety in addition to providing healthful foods?
