After trying so many poke spots in Oahu, I must say that Ono Seafood is one of my top favorites. The shop is quite small and there are only 2-3 tables outside, so their food is mostly meant for takeout. They share a parking lot with other businesses, so you don't have to worry too much about that. Luckily, the day my friends and I went, the line wasn't too long. It didn't take long to order either since there was a menu outside for you to look at. When you order a poke bowl, it comes with a free drink. I loved every option I chose! The fish was so fresh and the texture was perfect. Every bite has so many flavors and it was great. The portion was enough for a whole lunch. I was stuffed by the end. Ono Seafood definitely lived up to the hype. It's a must when visiting Oahu!

Absolutely the best poke experience in Honolulu. This place is only a short drive from Waikiki. Very exceptional traditional poke offerings and you also can buy it by the pound if you prefer. Wind chip I have is for you to try the combination and order one or two flavors together. All of the tuna is locally sourced and fresh from sea to shore. The staff is friendly but a little bit hard to understand but just follow the instructions and you will be OK.

This was the fifth poke place we tried while in Honolulu and it was hands down the best. The quality of the fish was immaculate and the flavours were perfected. I got the spicy salmon and the shoyu ahi and they complemented each other well. I also loved the rice puffs they put on top of the bowl. The portion was also great and came to about $20. Would definitely recommend

This place was indeed worth the wait. For Waikiki, I would highly recommend stopping by. The line can be long depending when you come and parking is difficult. If you’re in a nearby hotel just walk. For those who don’t know what to order. Try their Poke bowel combo and mix up two flavors.

The BEST poke I’ve ever had. We went around ~4 in the afternoon and there was no line at all. We had expected there to be a long line, so we had called for pickup instead. The food came fairly quick and we ordered a variety of poke. My specific order was the poke bowl combo which included white rice (usually I’d go for brown but they ran out), spicy salmon, hawaiian style tako, and a can of coke. The poke was perfectly seasoned and was absolutely delicious. My favorite would have to be the salmon for sure. Very satisfied customer.

Delicious poke, very fast service. Cafeteria style with great customer service. Combos are usually around $10 and you get a drink. Very inexpensive and very well packed with taste.

Cannot recommend enough. They are the best for a reason. Line seemed long but moves quickly. Well priced for the excellent quality it is. You can get poke by the pound (1/2 pound for the small tubs), or poke bowl, which is about 1/3 lb of poke on rice of your choice, and you can get a combo of two flavours for the bowl. Try the traditional Hawaiian flavour (#3) or the shoyu (#1), can’t be beat.

Really fresh poke! One of the best poke places I have ever been to. If you are in the area and like/love sushi/seafood, this place is a must! Highly recommend!

Great Poke place which is very well known. It looks a bit like a Deli inside and you can pick your sides and drinks directly from the fridge. Once you get your order you have to be lucky to get a free spot on the tables outside. Food was delicious and plenty, would definitely come back.

Bought Spicy Ahi Poke Bowl with coke can for $17.80. Price was not cheap, not even a decent deal for a local. The place is very small and seemed smaller once I went in. Price is not listed anywhere. Very limited seating right outside so should be considered as a take out. Two male workers and no smiles at all. Yes, it seemed like a tourist trap. Maybe a little smile may have ended up with a one more star. This is definitely not a cheap eats, not even close.

This is a take-out only place with a few tables outside and tight parking. Poke had great flavor, but the portion just didn't seem to fit right with other places. There are other great places just down the street to grab something similar at a comparative cost.

The food was absolutely delicious! The seafood is fresh. The rice is just rice, and the sauce is amazing! The restaurant is small, and there's a line when you order. It's definitely worth the wait. Parking is a little small, so I suggest one person orders and one person stays in the car to find parking. I will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant. 👌

Ono is one of my favorite poke shops in all of Hawaii. They serve up the freshest tasting fish with all the flavors you crave. The shop has won a few awards and been around for a while but the quality is still there since the first time I visited a few years ago. Inside, the area is small. You order your bowl at the counter, then the poke is mixed fresh for you. Each poke bowl comes with a free soda or juice (though it’s probably included in the price already). The container does feel on the smaller side but the serving of fish is plenty and does leave you full after. Outside, there are a few tables to eat at and they have their own small parking lot if you can get a spot. Overall, this place is close enough to Waikiki but out of the main hustle and bustle that you’ll want to come over and over!

Whenever we're in Waikiki, we try to visit Ono Seafood. I still remember the first time we visited... we must have walked by it a couple of times before actually spotting it set back from the road. The signage is more noticeable nowadays but it's still a bit of a hole-in-the-wall. We've tried their other poke before but our fav is the ahi. And while the poke goes well with rice, we try to just get the poke by itself now (can't afford to get too filled up on rice when you can eat more poke). We got the Hawaiian style ahi poke, spicy ahi poke, and shoyu ahi poke on our last visit on April. Still one of the best places to get poke in the area.

I went to their other location and had to come back. Their poke was so delicious. I got the ahi tuna and wow did it melt in my mouth. This location also offers a free drink which was very convenient. The rice was already prepared in containers when we walked in, so it wasn’t the hottest. No public washroom.

Delicious and fresh tasting poke bowls! Slightly more expensive than I was expecting, the prices are based on market price so when we got one bowl, it was $17. The bowl comes with a small drink. There are also limited seats in the shared dining tables. There is a free parking lot but spots are limited.

Very fresh and tasty! Wasabi ahi and spicy salmon both delicious! (Sorry that I ate half already…) Small place to order food and few bench seats outside. Limited parking so we parked at the Safeway and walked here. Worth the walk! :)

We just got poke without rice. Still delicious and fresh. A small area for eating out the store. We walked there from our air bnb and I think it was worth it.

The best poke bowl we have ever had in Hawaii, shoyu a-hi & wasabi a-hi is a must. Also got a complementary drink while ordering bowl set. There’s two free parking space in front of the store, or you can park at the nearby streets - lots of spaces.

Food was solid, but my main issue with the poke was that it’s texture felt less fresh and more frozen. It was mushy (and not firm like fresh poke). However the flavor was good, and the tako was a highlight. I don’t know if I would come back when there’s better places.

It was a super hot day and a car parked in front had the engine on so it was double the heat.. so the aircon inside was heaven to me hahaha we got shoyu ahi and Hawaiian ahi bowls. The Hawaiian ahi bowl was a bit too salty for me, shoyu was nice. I'm giving three because for some reason, the ahi we had here was very.. like mushy?? I don't know how to explain, chewy mushy fatty I don't know. I think it might’ve been the heat and the fact that we weren't too hungry, but I didn't like it too much, my tourist tongue was yet to be accustomed to the Hawaiian local ways. It seems quite popular and everyone else seem to enjoy the food so definitely try, probs would have a different opinion to me! I couldn't finish it though 😞

One of the best poke I had! But the cucumber salad was way too spicy.. I wish I had known I would of ordered extra rice. We were the last customers so there was nothing to do.. couldn’t eat it. And my spicy tolerance is very high!! Fish was super fresh.. big pieces!

Amazing poke! Very fresh, and the sauce that they use for the spicy ahi is very delicious! Be prepared for a line if you go around a meal time (lunch, dinner) as the actual store front isn’t very large inside. They do have outdoor seating, but it can be taken very quickly as there isn’t a lot to choose from. But all that frankly doesn’t matter. Service was very smooth, and the staff was very friendly! Everyone from regulars to brand new tourists can feel welcome here and get amazing food!

Small, hole in the wall spot with very limited seating outside. The value is pretty good as you can mix and match with different kinds of poke on the menu to your liking and the meal comes with a drink. The poke was delicious. However, the rice was mushy. As well, the place closes very early at 6PM. Would’ve been nicer if it opened even a bit later at 8PM perhaps.

Amazing poke!! Definitely worth the wait and a must eat if you’re staying around Waikiki. The fish and octopus are fresh and marinated perfectly.

We dropped here to grab lunch and this was our first time trying poke so I wasn't able to assess how this compares. The service was fast although they didn't have brown rice. The portions are good. The seating is limited so we had to do takeout. The parking is very limited and it can get difficult.

Best POKE! If you like poke, this is a must. I felt like I had real poke for the first time. Parking is really tough so it may be good to park elsewhere and walk here. Also, there’s not much space to eat, so it’s also a good idea to bring the food to a park or the beach.

The best poke I’ve ever had in my life!! Ordered the shoyu and spicy ahi and it was SO delicious. The spicy ahi was definitely my favorite with a mild kick. Poke bowl comes with rice and a drink. Tiny parking lot but there is street parking around the area. A few tables available outside for dining.
