Touching memorial to 28,778 soldiers whose remains were not recovered and identified or are listed as missing in action, or lost or buried at sea. We spent more time here than we anticipated reading all the material and maps. The scenic lookout also gives a great view of the city.

This is a beautiful, well maintained and respectful cemetery commemorating the American service deaths in the Pacific. The cemetery is inside the crater of an extinct volcano. The South End offers impressive views onto Honolulu.

Every visit to Oahu, I visit the Punchbowl Crater to pay my respects at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. This time I allowed extra time to take in the sights there. An overlook provides unique views over Honolulu and to the Ko'olau Mountains. Walking the entire perimeter proved how large it is and in its way, beautiful.

Absolutely stunning views over all of Honolulu, probably a better view than from Diamondhead, and it's entirely FREE. Located on the grounds of a veteran cemetery.

Beautiful memorial cemetery. It's located in the punchbowl crater, once an active volcano. Free entry. There is a viewpoint on top with great views to Honolulu and the mountain's natural landscape.

Lovely lookout. A hidden gem in Honolulu. Well worth a visit for the views. Full view of the city and Diamondhead and the sea. Easy accessible by car or take a walk from the bus stop close by(less than a mile)

Punch Bowl Crater in Oahu is an absolute gem that left me in awe. This sacred ground is meticulously maintained, and itโ€™s clear that great care goes into preserving its beauty and significance. As you approach, the architectural marvel of the memorial comes into view, and you canโ€™t help but appreciate the craftsmanship that went into creating this site. Itโ€™s a place that carries deep historical and cultural meaning. The views from Punch Bowl Crater are nothing short of spectacular. From this vantage point, you get to witness the sheer beauty of Oahuโ€™s landscape. The vistas are simply breathtaking. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about Punch Bowl Crater is that itโ€™s open to the public free of charge. However, while itโ€™s accessible to all, itโ€™s crucial to remember the solemnity of this place and be respectful during your visit. In summary, Punch Bowl Crater is a great addition to any itinerary that you have win you visit Oahu. Itโ€™s a place where nature, architecture, and history converge to create an unforgettable experience.

A calm nice memorial dedicated to fallen troops in 3 wars. They have large maps with details of the war and information to read on them. Worth the visit.

A hidden gem in the city. Beautiful area with well-maintained trees and minimalistic graves for many of our nationโ€™s veterans (including some interesting finds, like astronaut Ellison Onizuka from the Challenger). Beautiful statues and mini-museum with wonderful history. Clean bathrooms and a water refill station. Definitely check out the overlook while here, though you may need to walk around the construction zone if youโ€™re going soon. Definitely worth the trip if in Oahu.

Another crater you can visit in Hawaii. Here you will find a monumental war memorial and cemetery, wide lawns, tall and wide trees and a view of downtown. The whole place seems reverent and peaceful. Entrance is free, you can get here by car or taxi, there is no public transport. However, it is necessary to check the opening hours.

Cemetery and memorial to American soldiers who died in World War I and II, the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Korean and Vietnam Wars in a large park. Great documentation, impressive.
