I tried getting tickets online; multiple fails. The line for tickets was long, but moved pretty swiftly. Some people tried jumping the line - much to their credit, the ticket counter sent them to the back of the line. They control entry well so it doesn't get over crowded. The views are amazing; as you would expect. The next best thing is all the history on different floors as you walk down - so skip the elevator on the way out (unless absolutely necessary). Great price; 175TL, approximately $9. From our hotel it is a little difficult to walk, but still doable. Definitely worth it.

Lovely tower in a really funky area of town. Great fir cafes and second hand shops. Definitely have a tea in this area and lots of graffiti to look at

Lovely landmark building, preserved to a fine standard. Amazing 360* views of Istanbul in its glory. The waiting queue can be quite long. But I’d definitely worth the wait. There is a fee to go inside. There is also a lift which unfortunately for those with mobility issues, doesn’t go to the top. There’s a souvenirs shop. (Cheaper to buy from stall outside)

This ancient watchtower is a good spot to give you a birds-eye view of the estuary and the old Istanbul city. The views are absolutely amazing. There is a steep set of stairs to go up, but it's worth it. There are many cafes around the tower as well. You can also find out about the stories of the pigeons of Galata tower.

An impressive construction of the tower won’t leave you calm. It is so nicely done, decorated and preserved. Conveniently located in one of the most popular parts of the city. Other then having a great city overview, you can learn some history, shop for souvenirs and meet some interesting people there from all over the world. I also was lucky to observe Istanbul sting a snowfall from the top of Galata Tower. A scenery to die for. I totally recommend you visiting this landmark.

It is a great place to visit. Amazing view of Istanbul opens up from the top floor, you can even go outside and take beautiful pictures. Beware of the wind! But for those who are scared, there are binoculars available inside. An audio guide can be helpful for those who would like to learn a few historical facts about Istanbul.

My second visit to Galata Tower. I was first here 2010. A lot of Turkish school kids groups - free access. There is literally 0 safety of the Tower’s balcony once up there and trying to enjoy the view. Just one extra push and the people could start falling off the balcony as if they were dominoes. Security guards do not speak English properly and misunderstandings happen. No small kids are basically welcome to the tower, same as handicapped people. no emergency exits are existing once up on the top of the tower. No Toilet available. Rude staff as a whole (both women and men). Not worth the 120lira. The biggest concern for everyone visiting this place is : in case of emergency there is not an emergency exit and the viewing platform/balcony is not secured. It is the same as 12 years ago. No improvement has been made for 12 whole years.

This is literally the most beautiful part of Istanbul in my opinion. This tower has magic in its height, shape and position. You could see the whole Istanbul from the top of it. The top of the tower contains a 360 degree balcony that gives access to the whole view of Istanbul. The top floor is a space for meditation, contemplation and mindfulness. The neighbourhood is the coolest one in the entire city.

Really nice. Went while it rained which I liked. The misses thought it would be taller 🤣🤣. Was really nice and cost 175TL (ticket only) per person which is an okay price. But the views were really nice with free binoculars stands to really enjoy the view. Staff were friendly but the views are great. Would recommend coming early morning to avoid the cues and get the good views

I don’t really recommend unless you REALLY want to go. Prices differ if you’re a resident (30-60TL) or a tourist (650TL). Personally, I don’t think it was worth the money especially since they are doing construction on the top/outdoor level so it’s closed off. If you do go, make sure you take the stairs and not the elevator because the in between floors have some views and artifacts and the stairs are neat. Overall, cool views, nice architecture but not an amazing experience and probably wouldn’t go again.

I dropped a point because of the price, for some reason I have noticed lots of tourist attractions have increased their prices. I didn't go in as you can't get to the very top due to construction, so they should give a break on the price at least. It is a nice tower though.

If you ever go to see Galata Tower, make sure you buy a ticket to go up! The experience won’t be complete without it. Up there you will see a 360 degree view of the whole Istanbul, including European side. It’s a pity I came here only at night, because I believe the sunset should be great up here. There’s also 7 floors in the tower with each of them dedicated to house artifacts and historical stories.

One of the most popular and must-visit attractions in Istanbul. Beautiful 360 views of the city. I went there last evening and took some beautiful golden hour and night shots of the city. You can visit anytime but I would suggest visiting at last evening when there will be less crowd and you can take some nice photos of the city.

Most of the tourist places that are crowded with visitors on a daily basis in Istanbul during my visit to the place. The place is beautiful and every day it has a different shape. The sky holds the bridge and the clouds are like a pillow for it. I faced a problem with this. I wanted to trust the place more seriously, but their behavior is provocative and they ask to delete the photos that they showed. Many of the shots that were taken have been erased. I do not know what the problem is that causes them and their stores if the photos are published on social media. Is this a negative thing in my opinion? Positive, especially that millions of tourists visit this place every month. Perhaps it is an opportunity to attract more tourists. I hope that the municipality of Beyoglu will deal with some shop owners and be more tactful, especially by dealing with tourists who take pictures and videos. In the end, they are coming to document their trips. They do not come from For a quarrel with shop owners who do not welcome them or their cameras. The place is touristy and photography must be allowed in its outskirts. Inside the building, there is a small cafe and the view is from the top. I did not see it, frankly, but The big queue required entry, which made me think if they could open the online reservation through a website and each person would take his ticket and allow him, for example, 10 minutes to enter and exit and allow others to enter and not wait for the big queues in front of the tower

I really enjoyed this. It’s a bit expensive (over $25), but the views from the top made the cost less painful. There is an elevator to the floor below the very top. If you can’t go up stairs, you will miss the top floor and the walkway outside. The view of all sides of Istanbul are really cool and there are good photo opportunities. It was crowded with a lot of people when we came. If you’re not afraid of heights, don’t miss this.

What an amazing place to be in. Especially going to the top of it and having a view of whole city across the massive bridges. A pure class of architecture. Government has all the credit for preserving it's sheer class even after decades has already been been passed.

Light house in ancient times, but now is a museum. A great look from Asia to Europe and from Europe to Asia. Unfortunately at my visit, it was closed for visitors due to restoration work. But it's a must visit when you are in Istanbul. Market around the tower looks amazing, from shopping to restaurants.

Gidinnn😄

A great historical edifice, still standing tall despite all these years, very beautiful, prominent as it imposes itself in front of all the buildings surrounding it, it is a symbol of the city of Istanbul, and it has a great historical value that you feel when approaching it, a great scene that brings you together with the nobility of history

Great view, tickets are available outside. If you go early (9 or 10) you don't have to wait in line. But by the time we left (about an hour later), there was a short line outside. Once you go in, the elevator takes you to the top floor. You have to climb two more flights of stairs for the absolute top floor (no lift goes there). To come down use the stairs. On each floor they have some items for display, so it is like a small museum on 5 to 6 levels. The stairs are tricky and the roof slightly low but it's an enjoyable walk down. For older people, they should take the elevator down. Good place to get a 360 degree view of Istanbul.

Galata Tower is true heritage and one of Istanbul's most visited touristic spot. During the day you have a nice clear view over the city, but I would recommend to come during sunset on a clear day. It is just magnificent! Around Galata Tower there are many touristic souvenir shops as well food and drink places.

Absolutely a must see. It's an iconic landmark and the view from the top is breathtaking. You can walk all around the tower and see the entirety of this gorgeous city. It seems this landmark is also where people take their significant other when they want to propose to them and we were fortunate enough to see this happen. It was a beautiful moment. I highly recommend visiting the Galata Tower.

This once was a tower built by Emperor Justinian, it had tons of different owners and survived time. I bought a ticket to go up to the top and it is totally worth it. It is a bit of a climb to the top but once you get there it is absolutely worth it. You see an amazing view of the river, the other side of the city and you can just see the busyness from a birds eye view. Also cool on the way down you can see lots of history about the tower and the streets around it are super lively.

‏Climbing to the Tower street is hard for elders so anticipate before leaving. Ticket price is expensive for tourists (600 TL), there are two elevator for going up but you can't use it for going down unless you are senior or having health issues, there is no restaurant high above, no A/C, only two doors are open for getting the air. The view is phenomenal but I won't go there for the second time.

Good experience visiting the Galata tower in the night. View from the top is great. A lot of history and important stories behind this, well maintained and showcased to the tourists. The laser lights on the tower at night is also nice and goes well with the vibe of the place. Streets around the Galata tower are also worth roaming around.

Galata tower is my favorite tower in the world. I love how it watches the city center of Istanbul. You’d see it from anywhere you go and it’s not even that tall! It used to comfort me when I’m lost in the streets of Istanbul when I first moved in. I had amazing time setting under it in summer nights to enjoy street food and snacks and talk about life with friends. Amazing memories. The inside is okay. But go only if you really have time, if you are in a short vacation it’s not really worth it. There’s a 7D cinema inside the tower that gives the experience of virtual helicopter ride in all momentums of Istanbul. It’s nice, more of a trailer to Istanbul and it could inspire you where to go next. The terrace at the top of the tower is narrow and usually very crowded and you wouldn’t enjoy the view as much as you could. There’s a restaurant inside as well, not too fancy but overpriced. There’s a myth that says girls would marry the first guy they go up with! Choose wisely haha! I hope you would enjoy it and appreciate it’s beauty as much as I do.

I have a thing for towers with viewing balconies that look out over the city. Galata Tower is a medieval one that doesn't disappoint given its age! Incredible to think of all the other generations that have enjoyed these views too. Tokyo Skytree is still the undefeated champion of viewing towers for me so far though!

This is not super high rise tower, but since there are not many high building around, you can enjoy nice view of Istanbul. Could see Aya Sofia and blue mosque in far away. Going up is easy by elevator, but coming down was by staircases.

Perfect view point of the city! Photo location 😍 All the roads, bridges and Bosporus is on the hand. Use the elevator to get on the top and go down by stairs. There are Senegal nice floors with a miniature of the city, small cinema and a museum. Is costs around 5$ to get up there

Built in 500 A.D., Galata Tower is one of the dominating landmarks of Istanbul. It was used as a watchtower to help defend the city. Old tower near the Golden Horn. Can be seen easily from around the city. Does cost to enter, but is neat just to see. Very many restaurants nearby. Great part of town!

Love the views from the top over Istanbul during the day. I bought a ticket at the little desk but the security man on the tower door wouldn't let me in as he said I needed some sort of bar code I showed him my covid vaccination certificates but he still said no he wouldn't help me but a kind lady in the queue helped me get the bar code from the Turkish health office over the Internet. So I got in but the staff inside were not kind or helpful when I asked a question the security man again said no. So the staff are not well trained in customer service. Staff could do better. But the tower and the area is fantastic well worth a visit day or night. Would have given 5 star if the staff had been nice.

Tourists will pay 20 times (!!!) more than locals. The outside ring on the top was not accessible during my visit because of construction. Not worth the price. Instead, go to a roof-top terrace close by to not only enjoy the beautiful view, but also enjoy the view with the tower itself in the background and enjoy some food and wine :)

Nice place to visit - you'll have great views of the city, and some insights about history of the tower and Istanbul. We went during the week (around 5pm) and passed the lines in ~15-20 min. Generally I think this is not a "must visit" if you're very short on time - you can enjoy the views of the tower from the outside, and get similar views from rooftop restaurants in Istanbul.

It was cool to go up the Galata during the sunset. The lines were kind of long (first line to buy a ticket, second line to go up). There was an elevator that takes you all the way to the top. This was great, because I was worried I had to use the stairs. Side note: there is no bathroom inside.

One of the most visited sights in the entire Istanbul. If you climb the Galata Tower, you'll have a view of the whole city and you'll be able to take some amazing photos for your collection. Tends to be too crowded at certain times - better to visit it during the morning hours if you want to avoid the crowd, but the sunset is amazing if you want photos.

The best time to visit is during sunset and it's bit crowded, and you can enjoy a view of the Istanbul cityscape. You'll be able to spot the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia from here. If you want to avoid waiting in line, online tickets are available at a slightly higher price. The queues move quickly. Lifts are also available to go up, and if requested, you can come down by lift; otherwise, you'll need to descend using the stairs.

The most beautiful tower in Istanbul. You can go to the roof and enjoy the beautiful view of Istanbul. Very nice scenery specially during sunset. The place is most of the time crowded, so you've better time for it. Or you can just take photo in front of it on the street and visit the galata square during night, the ambiance is really nice. The Galata Tower is such a iconic site in Istanbul. I love seeing is from the various bridges, from over near Sutanemet but I love being right up close to it. It is truly a beautiful structure. When I leave Istanbul and about to go around a corner with it then being out of site, I say a quiet “ see you soon “, as I head out…

A very beautiful place initially built in 528 in Byzantine empire to observe possible dangers from Marmara sea and to guide ships to the harbour later turned into a dungeon and living place for servants and workers. Currently a renowned love point with amazing panoramic views of the Istanbul skyline. Situated at a hill so have to walk up although stairs and ramp is constructed and one can take a taxi as well. Beautiful traditional shops on both sides to the tower. Several restaurants and hotels nearby with all traditional food as well as continental including the world renown Salt Bae. 100 lira for a bird eye view from the top of Galata Tower. Lift takes you to the 6th floor and then another 2 floors by stairs. 25 Lira extra for audio guide. Amazing views of the Istanbul skyline, golden horn, Galata Bridge as well as Ataturk Bridge.

Amazing Historical Place. I was amazed that how this place is well conserved and how well is it maintained. I would suggest visiting it 4 times : 1. Sunrise 2. Daytime 3. Sunset 4. Night Each time you visit you will see different view from the height. Whole city can be seen from the tower. It’s always full with tourists. I also recommend keeping your vaccine certification with you along with the mask on your face. Thanks and Follow me.

A unique Experience visiting this tower. You can have 360 degree view of istanbul from top. sometimes wind is quite fast on top, so take care for that. Entry fee was 100 TL and if you need audio guide, you have to pay additional 25 TL and as a security of audio guide, you have to submit your passport or id to reception. for me audio guide was not a worth experience.

If you are visiting Istanbul, then you just have to go here! It is a place of great historical value, inside of the tower there are the little museums on each floor explaining more of it's History... But when you are outside, you get the most beautiful view of Istanbul. Simply breathtaking!

A must do attraction in Istanbul. The views are amazing both in the day and at nighttime. The place is very popular. Hence, the crowd can be overwhelming. Reservation is highly recommended. When we visited the tower was projected with live football match which made the place mesmerizing. Definitely worth a visit.

July 2023: Tickets cost 350 to enter and you buy it from the red tram car opposite to the entry side of the tower. Nice 360 degree view of Istanbul at the top. Get there early because it gets busy and then you have to wait a lot for everyone to move as there is not a lot of space.

Unbelievable view wow! I recommend to everyone visiting Istanbul to take the time and come here when the sun goes down, it simply is breathtaking and worth every single penny! For two you will pay 45€ ish they have an elevator up but if you want to go down you will have to take the stairs which is okay though since you’ll find the museum spread over all the floors do you can learn about the towers history are done relics from the time if the Roman Empire which is amazing to see, calculate waiting time because of course everyone wants to see the sun go down over Istanbul, better be up there in time to find a good spot for pictures or you’ll have to be squeezing yourself through the masses up there. Have fun and enjoy the view 🙏

Looks magnificent, especially at night.. the lanes and cafes near the tower are great to chill... You may skip going all the way to the top of the tower.. the view would be similar from your hotel rooftop if you are staying close, or even if you have taken a ferry/ boat ride ..

I visited Galata Tower in Istanbul and I was amazed by the view of the city from the top. It was a great place to see the skyline and the landmarks. The tower itself was also very impressive and historical. However, some of the floors were closed for renovation, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the LCD and info stations were turned off, even though we paid for the entrance. I think they should improve their service and maintenance. And they should also clean the glasses more often, because they were dirty and it affected the photos. Overall, I think it is a must visit place in Istanbul, but it could be better.

Hey everyone, The Galata Tower is one of the magnificent places to visit if your travelling with your family and friends. I actually enjoyed going here with my brother, me and my cousin sister. It is one of the best experiences. There was a small music band which everyone enjoyed listening to where they show their natural Turkish culture. Hope everyone enjoys the music. Have a nice day!

The Galata Tower is by far one of the most representative tourist attractions in the entire Turkey and not just Istanbul. Just like the name clearly suggests it, it is located in the Galata quarter of Instabul, which is easily accessible. The tower is often referred to as the Galata Kulesi (a common name on signs) – it Turkish name. Once you are around it, you simply cannot miss it. It is a medieval structure erected hundreds of years ago. Also, it is entirely made of stone.

The first touristic place i visited in Istanbul and it is actually stunning. You walk in small roads all the way up to reach the Galata tower. Once there, there is a long queue to wait to go up on the roof but it is really worth to wait. The view from the top is amazing. You can see the whole Istanbul. ?

In this review you will learn about Galata Tower, entrance fees, free entry conditions and facilities of the tower. Galata Tower is a viewing tower where you can see Istanbul 360 degrees. Citizens under the age of 18 and over the age of 65 can climb the tower free of charge. In addition, admission is free for teachers, provided that they present their MEB personnel ID cards. Galata Tower can also be visited with a museum card. People who do not have a museum card and do not comply with the above conditions can go up to the tower and watch Istanbul by buying a ticket of 100₺. The tower can be reached by elevator, but descended by stairs. Even going down those historical stairs has a different excitement. Currently, due to the pandemic, the tower is entered with the HES code. From the top floor of the tower to the 360-degree viewing terrace, you begin to take pictures and watch Istanbul in all its splendor. Since the terrace is narrow, it is a little difficult to walk and take photos on the terrace during crowded times. Of course, the holidays are very busy. I don't think it will be very busy during the week. If this comment helped you, please don't forget to click the like button. The Galata tower has a very nice story regarding the purpose that had under Constantine and the big war that made it to a symbol of Istanbul. Galata has a lot of bars and a fine restaurant nearby looking directly at the tower. You can also find Nusret burger very close. It’s a must see symbol of Istanbul but you also have to read and investigate the story behind of the tower and what it was used for hundreds of years ago

One of the best historical place in Istanbul. Located in the middle of Taksim, an ancient street leading into the huge Justinian's tower, built before JC and standing still ever since. Reestablished by the ottomans to be today one of the most famous places tourists are visiting in Turkey.

Galata Tower is one of the oldest towers in the world and was built by the Byzantine Emperor Anastasius in 528 as a Lighthouse Tower. IV in 1204. The tower, which was destroyed extensively during the Crusade, was later rebuilt in 1348 by the Genoese using masonry stones called "Jesus Tower", in addition to the Galata walls. When it was rebuilt in 1348, it became the city's largest building. Galata tower was raised between 1445-1446. After the tower was captured by the Turks, it was renovated and repaired almost every century. It was used as a shelter for Christian prisoners of war employed in the Kasımpaşa shipyards in the 16th century. Sultan III. With the permission of Murat, an observatory was established here by my astronomer Takiyüddin, but this observatory was closed in 1579. IV in the first half of the 17th century. During the Murat period, Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi, after watching the winds and doing flight drills in Okmeydanı, put the eagle wings he had made of wood on his back and flew from Galata Tower to Üsküdar-Doğancılar in 1638. This flight was met with great interest in Europe and engravings showing this flight were made in England. [Citation needed] Since 1717, the tower has been used as a fire watchtower. The fire was reported by playing a big drum so that the people could hear it. III. In a fire that broke out during the Selim period, most of the tower was burned. The repaired tower was damaged and repaired in another fire in 1831. In a storm in 1875, its cone was toppled. With the last repair, which started in 1965 and completed in 1967, the current appearance of the tower was achieved.

Murat döneminde Hezarfen Ahmet Çelebi , Okmeydanı'nda rüzgarları kollayıp uçuş talimleri yaptıktan sonra , tahtadan yaptırdığı kartal kanatlarını sırtına takarak 1638 yılında Galata Kulesi'nden Üsküdar - Doğancılar'a uçmuştur . Bu uçuş Avrupa'da ilgi ile karşılanmış , İngiltere'de bu uçuşu gösteren gravürler yapılmıştır .

The restaurants around it are very nice, especially for breakfast but when it comes to breakfast in the tower, apparently one has to reserve even when it is completely empty. The view was fine but not mind blowing from the top. The simulation was fine.

This is one amazing thing to do in turkey. I can’t understand why all the reviews are so bad and saying if it’s worth going there. It certainly is. It’s amazing views and a lovely cafe up there. The 3D helicopter 🚁 experience is awesome and really fun. I definitely recommend it. It’s a must when you visit Istanbul. Just go early morning on a weekday and you won’t have to waste anytime queuing.

I loved it and since I got my apartment near the area so I pass by it regularly and every time it feels beautiful just to look at it ❤ but what i didn't expect the first time I visit it was that the places surroundings .. i mean it located in between so many buildings, cafes, restaurants, shops and hotels..i don't know how to put it exactly, it's just i expected it to be in a little bit more open site or something 😅🤔okay sorry for the unclear explanation 😂🙆‍♀️

I highly recommend to visit the tower during sunset, but you have to come at least one hour prior to buy the tickets and wait in queue to be able to enter the tower on time. You use the elevator to reach the 6th floor but you have to use the stairs to reach the top. You cant use the elevator to get down ,but a small and long stairs ( not recommended for elders people)

GALATA TOWER, ONE OF THE ICONS OF ISTANBUL Considered among the oldest towers in the world and one of the symbols of Istanbul, Galata Tower (Galata Kulesi) was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary List in 2013. Galata Tower, one of the most important structures that make up the silhouette of Istanbul, was used as a long-term fire watchtower and was named Galata Fire Tower.

  • 5/5 Miassar M. 2 years ago on Google
The dominating tower was built on the western side of Istanbul in the 14th century. At the time it was in the heart of the Genoese district of Constantinople where Italian community from Genoa made the majority of the population. Today the district is called Galata, hence the tower name. After the fall of the city to the Ottomans, the tower was used an alarm for spotting a fire in the city. Today, this Gothic structure right on the junction of the Bospouros and the Golden Horn, has a Restaurant, a cafe, and an observatory deck at the top level. Two elevators will take up. The views from up are stunning. Admission fee to the observation deck: 100 TL or almost 9€.

Absolutely wonderful! This is a place you don't want to miss for sure. Despite the long line before being able to enter, the breathtaking view up there undoubtedly worth the pain. This is a must visit place. Do not skip this and budget some fair amount of time to absorb this place and the beauty of Istanbul. This is one of the perfect place to get a sense of how overwhelmingly beautiful and diverse Istanbul is and also indulge in a bit of nostalgia about the Ottomans, Byzantine and Constantinople. Tickets are extremely reasonable and just a wonderful place to spend time.

350 lira to go inside and 30 minute wait in the cold. The walk towards the tower is quite nice, full of old buildings. Watching the sunset at the Tower was pleasant, although there were very many people. It was difficult to move. The view from the top was spectacular.

Good experience! Going up with the elevator and enjoying this great view is a must, but only go up when the weather is good. Then a little museum tour down the stairs. Due to Covid the way downstairs is very empty and you can take your time

The Galata Tower Museum is one of the important historical landmarks in Istanbul. Built as a watch tower, it was constructed at the highest point of the hill. From the top, the entire city of Istanbul is clearly visible. There are many displays showing the history of the tower. The top balcony is a favorite lookout point and photo spot

Not much value for money. We went around 10 am on sunday. There was no rush. No line. The scene from the top was very nice. The weather was really clear. It was good view

It is one of the places we will not go without seeing in our short life. In the shadow of the Galata Tower, people come to write poetry, sing and dance. it is so fascinating that it is like a fairy tale... and you become the hero of that tale. the view is magnificent. Once upon a time there were sultans, now there are you.

A fun trip to the past. My GF and I paid the ticket price $350TL each and went to the top and walked down. Cool view and fun history. One of best neighborhoods in Istanbul to visit and sight see.

Well worth seeing among the many historical sites in Istanbul. Also a great place to orient yourself to the city and history toward the start of your visit. Go early or late in the day. Surprised that it has an elevator and is kind of a museum as you wind your way down and around.

A historic tower that’s definitely one of the iconic landmarks of Istanbul. While we didn’t get to go up the tower as it was almost closing time, we were able to catch a light show which was projected onto the tower, along with a crowd of people. It was a bit of an incline “hike” to get to this location, but it was worth it. The atmosphere in the surrounding area was nice with a lot of tourists around.

Emblematic place of Istanbul to visit absolutely... a lot of sensations on the spot, a long history behind to discover! in the night it is interesting, there are light projections and plays of light. It's beautiful to see.

Overrated, nothing to see inside but the views are great. Lifts work only while going up, you have to walk on your way down Long queues - the place is in a big rush, museum pass works here, but you can’t skip the line which is annoying. Apart from views from the top, nothing else there - overpriced for the quality of experience

Birdseye View of all things major in city of Istanbul. 360 Views. Best time to visit 1 hour before sunset. It will take you Time to buy tickets and reach on top deck of the tower for an open air view of Sun setting and capture the best moments! Enjoy! :)

The Galata Tower offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Istanbul, capturing the city's rich history and vibrant present. The blend of ancient architecture and modern life is truly captivating. The elevator ride is a convenient option, but the narrow spiral staircase adds a touch of adventure. Whether you visit during the day or at night when the city lights up, the experience is unforgettable. Don't miss this iconic landmark!

Quite a queue to get in, but a lift to the higher floors was welcome. Beware; you have to walk down. Some staircases are narrow and low ceilings. But fascinating history and great views if you have a head for heights.

Second time visit this historical objects of Istanbul. Build in 14 century and still standing very strong and steady and very beautiful surroundings little shops and coffeeshop. But unfortunately for the tourists the object is being renovating since 1 Nov 2023, so you can only touring 1-7 floor.

We unfortunately didn't go upstairs as most of the floors are closed for renovation. However the place was bustling with people. And the restaurants and cafes around the area offered great options.

This is one of the key landmarks of the city. When we visit this at the end of Dec 2023, the top observation deck is being renovated. You can still come in, pay for the tickets, and go all the way to 7th floor. You can still see the surroundings with binoculars on 7th floor. There are some exhibits, flight simulation, and a museum shop at the bottom. If you're hungry, there are so many cafes and restaurants nearby, as well as cheap souvenir shops. Due to the renovation, at the moment there were some cranes and closed areas prior to entry.

675-year-old Genoese watchtower that later served as a prison. Today it is a tourist attraction, a famous symbol of Istanbul with an exhibition space and a museum with a restaurant at the top of the tower. A must visit.
