Biggest airport in the world at the moment. Istanbul airport is pretty new one with massive landscape with many gates and runway. Its took more time to reach the immigration from flight landing tower. Airport is very massive in space with interesting latest architecture and art work. You will get tired by walking or using escalator. Nice experience, but staffs are not that much cooperative and customer friendly. It would be good if airport authority officers concentrate on improving the customer service and customer experience. Other than staff issue, I don't see any flaws in this airport. Language gap will be common issue everywhere. Airport is bit far main Istanbul city, so book your cab through hotel and plan your trip 1 or 2 hrs earlier. From airport you can catch cab or take airport express bus service from airport.

One of the largest airports in the world, it is beautifully designed with lots of amenities. There's options for food, shopping, relaxing and everything else you can think of. However, just 1 hour of free internet is too short and should be upgraded. The napzones were especially nice for people with long layovers.

Huge but very well managed, organized and clean airport. The bathrooms, check in desks and waiting areas were all very clean and felt brand new. Plenty of comfortable seats and sofas in the waiting area with plenty of charging points for your devices. Wifi connectivity was good throughout the airport. The staff at the airport was very cooperative and friendly. Very nice duty free area with plenty of shops, restaurants an cafes at various price points. I do recommend to arrive early as it may take 30 to 40 minutes to go from the check in desks to the departure gates because of the size of the terminal.

Wow! This is my first time flying with Turkish Airlines, I had to transit from Istanbul Turkey, their airport is just wow! It's very huge, everything is organized, the toilets are super clean, they have many brand stores here, restaurants, lounges and spa omg! I have been to different airports like Paris, Beijing, Guangzhou, Amsterdam, London, and many other airports cos I travel a lot, I can tell you that this airport is amazing and have better-relaxing places more than other ones I have been to. I love it here, I am about to try their food 🍕

They've created nice Christmas mood! There's a pet toilet and a shower, also cold and hot drinking water, and many areas with soft sofas and chargers, in the photo you can also find a very comfortable place to rest if you have a night flight

World class airport. Have been there many time and never had a bad experience. Turkish architecture and hospitality are both unprecedented!!! Its the biggest airport in the world. Its so massive that you have to walk around 30 mins to reach the immigration. Sometimes you just need to be careful if you have a connecting flight. Should have at least 2-3 hours in between the flights especially if you are planning to get domestic flights. The domestic terminal is so far!

A gateway to the world. You can pretty much fly anywhere from here, including many less famous destinations in Africa, Middle East, Central and South East Asia. The building is vast, make sure to leave enough time to get to your gate. Lots of shopping opportunities, but don't expect to find many good deals.

I recently had the pleasure of passing through Istanbul International Airport, and I must say, it's possibly the best airport I have ever visited. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by its sheer beauty and grandeur. The airport is large, spacious, and offers a wide range of facilities and amenities, ensuring that travelers have everything they need for a comfortable and enjoyable experience. One of the standout features of Istanbul International Airport is the drop off and pickup area. It's outdoors but covered, providing a seamless and convenient transition from the outside to the inside of the airport. This was particularly helpful on the day I visited, as it was really cold, but I was able to stay within a reasonable temperature as I grabbed a taxi. It's no surprise that Istanbul International Airport has won numerous awards, as it's well deserved. The airport is thoughtfully designed, with plenty of natural light and open spaces, creating a welcoming and calming environment. I found it easy to navigate, with clear signage and helpful staff always on hand to assist with any questions or concerns. Overall, I would highly recommend Istanbul International Airport to anyone traveling to or through Istanbul. From its stunning design and abundance of facilities to its efficient and friendly staff, this airport truly sets the standard for excellence in air travel. I would rate Istanbul International Airport a solid 5 out of 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ✈️

This airport was one of best I have ever been to. North American airports are a joke compared to this one. There was pretty much anything that you can think of inside this airport. There was a play area for children. There was a section that you could weigh your luggage and repack it if need be, they had a ton of restaurants snacks drinks. They also have a separate line for families or people with young children, or for anyone who is over the ages of 65. What a nice way to help out! Thank you I was also able to visit their lounge and it was amazing. They had a fully stocked bar, food buffet, and various areas where you could lounge, Sleep, take your kids to a play area or shoot some pool

A really huge airport, but still convenient to get to the places. Many stores inside, including Waikiki and others. Good food places ❤😍 A lot of routes are going through the airport. And that's really easy to get here from almost any country. What is not too easy is the access to the airport from Istanbul. It took me really much time, and the metrobus didn't have the signs to be found. I set off 6 or 7 hours before the takeoff time and I was on time. The city government announced building of the metro to the airport. Hope to get it soon

Huge airport about 50 km from Istanbul! It's very organized, clean, safety and managed perfectly! Before entrance, you have to show your tiket to the guard and immediately inside, there is the first control for people and suitcases. I've never happened me in my life before!!! All the usual checks begin from there! It feels safe!

One of the nicest airports I've ever visited. It's big and spacious, but still convenient. The boarding queue sometimes is a little bit too long, but the staff are quite helpful and friendly. And the most important thing is they obey the health protocols so no need to worry much.

It hands down one of the best airports in the world if not the best airport. It is much easier than other airports to navigate even tho it is huge. The personnel are helpful here and try to direct you to the place you must go. I suggest visiting this place with Turkish Airlines since they usually get the priority and they are mostly there to tell you about your flight. If you going international and you are passing through duty free shops try showing up at least 3 hours early so you can go through most of the stores. They more selection that biggest malls I've ever seen and they're with good prices too.

One of the largest airport in the world with a beautiful architect and a stunning landscape. The airport is so big with many brands for shopping, food court, SPA, lounges and many more facilities. Also, loved the Grand Baazar for local shopping. Language gap will be a common problem everywhere. I believe as it is the busiest airport they should also consider the international language. Note: Don't forget to get your 1 hour FREE WiFi as soon as you arrive. After that the offer expires

A landmark in airport design. The entire airport is spacious, well laid out and has a timeless design. The construction took in many accounts of recycling, air cleanliness, carbon saving, etc. The Tax Refund system actually works. The signage is clear and logical making it easy to navigate through arrivals, security, passport control and finally departures. The Duty Free is vast and has variety. Everything works well.

The major international airport of Istanbul, Türkiye, aka "the meeting point of the world". It is a well designed, organised and clean airport with amazing facilities. The security and other airport officials are very friendly and kind. They made the immigration procedures very smooth and effortless. They also have a pet friendly check-in counter. Currency exchange centres, banks, local sim dealers, gift shops, etc are available upon arrival. The lounges serve good food and the washrooms are very tidy. The international lounge and the shops are very costly and the prices are in Euros, while the amenities in the domestic terminal is more affordable.

The airport is truly a piece of art. The facilities are of high standards and its construction is ultimate. It's built and it occupies an area that is really large and if you want out of curiosity to see it all, you will need many hours to walk around it.

The largest airport I have ever been to. The airport is one of the largest world air hubs if not the largest. The airport is located at the European part outsaide of Istanbul and right next to Black sea. It is brand new and with modern design and interior. The landings and the take offs are pretty smooth on the newly constucted and paved pathways. The airport building is a piece of art mega structure, few stories tall with different levels, full of multiple restaurants, duty free shops, cafes, resting areas. You can feel both the European and the oriental style mixed into one. Very organized and well set. People are friendly and nice. The staff is polite. It's a pleasure to fly through it.

Had a transit at Istanbul International Airport on Dec. 2, 2021! I arrived in time in Istanbul with Turkish Airlines. The Airport is so very huge and I had to walk quite a distance from the gate to the transfer terminal. The transfer terminal is absolutely stylish and modern and offers everything for an exclusive shopping experience during a transit! The only negative thing was that there are not enough seating options! Almost all chairs have been occupied and I really was exhausted from walking within the airport.

Really big airport, and nice. You can walk a lot here and use the time while waiting for your flight. There are long corridors between a large number of gates, it looks impressive.

The airport is big and user-friendly! Upon arrival,Sim cards can be purchased(Vodafone-friendly service), and taxi services can be booked!(BAF kiosk) If traveling on a budget, the small little cafeterias/restaurants can be expensive.(Take into consideration when you have a long layover) Lots of seating available on the ground and upper floor. Clean toilets!

A vast international hub on the crossroad of east and west, providing 24-7 sevice and amenities of high calibre. Services (lounge halls, spam mosques), shopping spots, coffee shops and bars facilitate the waiting time. WiFi is a minus.

  • 5/5 Gabrielius J. 2 years ago on Google
One of most pretty airports I've been so far. Prices are pretty high as a beer might cost at least 9 euros for 500ml glass There a lot of different spots to see and if you have some free time before your next flight you should pass through the airport

  • 5/5 Dru L. 9 months ago on Google
One of the most well organized airport even by Singaporean standard. For travellers with connecting flight you will know exactly how long it’ll take you to the clearance. Not enough time? There’s express clearance for it. There’s smoking area for travelling smokers. Kids play area for travelling family. Sleeping area for travellers that needed some recharge. Most impressive is there’s food and beverage options at the end of the terminals so you don’t need to worry about getting food then rush to your gate.

  • 4/5 Anas A. 2 years ago on Google
Modern design, obviously large avenue. Not one of the top 10 but has the capability to run heavy flight operations. Arrivals building requires more signs to direct arrivals in terms of on arrival visa, passport control for Non-Turkish citizens, because in my case I do not visa but I did not recognize whether I have to go immediately to passport control or to visit the visas office prior that. Departure avenue is neat, and has 2 or 3 lounges to enjoy your stay prior departing. However, this huge building does not have a pharmacy! They have medical team and first aid but not a pharmacy. Screens everywhere and no voice noises whatsoever.

So crazy busy even at 0100 in the morning. Wish they made it more clear what to do and where to go when you arrive from another country. But a beautiful airport 🥰 One of my favorites! A great place to be if you have a layover. They even have a very nice hotel inside the airport! Love this country 🇹🇷💗
