Hawa Mahal is the magnificent architecture built from red and pink sandstone and is on the edge of the City Palace. It is also known as Palace of the Winds and Palace of the Breeze. I loved the colored glass-work because when the sunlight enters, the entire chamber lit beautifully which is an awe moment. I was lucky as I got to the fountain raising and soaring to a great height. Entry fees for Indians is Rs 50 and for Foreigners it's Rs 200. For students it's 25 (just carry your ID Card) and joy the breath taking views from the top of the 12th floor of Hawa Mahal (a must for someone who is not afraid of heights).

Hawa Mahal is nice but the way traffic there is maintained is worse. No parking near Hawa Mahal. This is on the main road so you can always see the crowd. Lots of shops on the road side and in between that Hawa Mahal is there, it looks like most of the area is occupied but shops. I don't know why the government is not taking care and making that area vehicles free so that tourists can easily visit.

Visiting Hawa Mahal, often referred to as the ‘Palace of Winds,’ was an enchanting experience. This remarkable five-story structure, with its unique honeycombed hive-like architecture, stands as a testament to the royal grandeur of Jaipur. What’s truly unique about Hawa Mahal is its 953 small windows, or ‘Jharokhas,’ which were designed to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life and festivals on the street below without being seen. The breeze that flows through these windows keeps the palace cool, even in scorching summers, which is how it got its name. A fun fact about Hawa Mahal is that it has no front entrance. Originally, entry was through the City Palace, emphasizing its extension of the royal household. The best time to visit is early morning when the golden light of sunrise illuminates the red and pink sandstone, creating a mesmerizing glow. The view of the bustling city from the top offers a beautiful contrast to the calm and intricacy inside the palace.

Hawa Mahal is the most iconic monument in Jaipur. It's feel like heritage structure. Its domed canopies, floral patterns, lotus motifs, and fluted pillars, all reflect the rich Rajput style. Design is very beautiful.Designed red n pink sandstone. Thanks to the exceptional latticework on these windows, the palace experiences a cooling effect as the breeze blows in through them. Beautiful place for photography and visually appealing. 12 viewpoint and it's always crowded, there are COVID protocols but no one really follows them. Even online pass for Hawa Mahal is not properly checked, anyone can edit a pic and enter in that Mahal, I would recommend some QR code based entry system in the entrance.

With a history of over 200 years, Hawa Mahal is perhaps the most iconic monument in Jaipur. What makes this palace one of the top attractions in Jaipur for travelers is its unique architecture that comprises 953 windows. If the Pink City of India is next on your list of holiday destinations, keep aside some time to explore this iconic structure once you step out of your hotels in Jaipur.

This place was seen only in books. My first time visit has been nothing short of an adventure. Really loved the way it has been designed and also the architecture is amazing. Secondly the road was bit congested and traffic was heavy. One can enjoy shopping stuff like clothes and slippers and traditional wears. Beware of the shops charging extra. Make sure you follow the guidelines provided. One can rest assured that they will surely enjoy the location. Word of caution beware of traffic and police there.

Hawa Mahal is a palace in Jaipur, India approximately 300 kilometers from the capital city of Delhi. Built from red and pink sandstone, the palace sits on the edge of the City Palace, Jaipur, and extends to the Zenana, or women's chambers. The structure was built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, the grandson of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, who was the founder of Jaipur. He was so inspired by the unique structure of Khetri Mahal that he built this grand and historical palace. It was designed by Lal Chand Ustad. Its five floor exterior is akin to honeycomb with its 953 small windows called Jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework. The original intent of the lattice design was to allow royal ladies to observe everyday life and festivals celebrated in the street below without being seen, since they had to obey the strict rules of "purdah", which forbade them from appearing in public without face coverings. This architectural feature also allowed cool air from the Venturi effect to pass through, thus making the whole area more pleasant during the high temperatures in summer. Many people see the Hawa Mahal from the street view and think it is the front of the palace, but it is the back. You must visit here Your Welcome ✍️ Kuldeep Vidarvas

A Majestic Marvel: Exploring the Grandeur of Hawa Mahal in Jaipur. Hawa Mahal is a captivating masterpiece of architecture in Jaipur, where you can immerse yourself in history, capture beautiful photos, and experience the vibrant culture of the city. Its distinctive honeycomb-like facade adorned with intricate latticework is a visual delight. As the sun began its descent, the iconic structure, also known as the "Palace of Winds," seemed to come alive with a golden hue, casting a mesmerizing glow over the intricate honeycomb facade. Hawa Mahal is a must-visit. However, the traffic management around the area could be improved. Strolling through the bustling bazaars surrounding Hawa Mahal, the lively atmosphere and vibrant street life heightened the overall experience.

Hawa Mahal, the 'Palace of Winds,' is an architectural gem in Jaipur. Its distinctive honeycomb-like facade adorned with intricate latticework is a visual delight. The palace's historical significance and unique design make it a must-visit attraction. The structure allows for a glimpse into the royal past, offering stunning views and a cool breeze through its numerous windows. However, the interior spaces are relatively limited, so visitors should be prepared for a relatively quick visit. Nonetheless, the sheer beauty and historical importance of this iconic monument make it an essential stop for anyone exploring Jaipur's heritage

It's huge and so nicely planned heritage structure. Beautiful site to visit at least once if in Jaipur, good for a family tour visit. It's clean and tidy, security guards are there to look after. Just that needs a bit more of maintenance since it looks old now, a lot of repair is needed to the site.

During my most recent trip to Jaipur, I was awestruck by the Hawa Mahal, which is a magnificent marvel that deserves to be admired. It is a testament to Jaipur's rich architectural tradition that this monumental edifice, which is sometimes referred to as the "Palace of Winds," was once built. Both the elaborate lattice work and the pink sandstone masonry are examples of a genuinely exceptional combination of engineering and artistic skill. One can get a look into the royal past of Jaipur by visiting the Hawa Mahal, which is a popular tourist attraction. Not only does the one-of-a-kind design, which features a multitude of windows, serve as an architectural wonder, but it also offers a practical answer to the region's sweltering heat, enabling the royal ladies to view street festivities in a discrete manner. The amenities at the Hawa Mahal are kept in good condition, and there are instructive plaques posted throughout the building that provide historical context and specifics about the landmark. The procedure for entering is easy, and the personnel is well-informed and willing to assist as needed. The panoramic views that can be seen from the upper levels are quite beautiful and provide a wonderful vantage point from which to take in the splendor of the city. In close proximity to the Hawa Mahal is a lively shopping district that contributes to the region's overall allure. Shopping enthusiasts will find a veritable paradise in the bustling bazaars that surround the palace. These bazaars sell traditional Rajasthani handicrafts, textiles, and jewelry. Exploring the adjacent markets and participating in the culture of the area is a pleasant experience that one should not miss out on. In conclusion, the Hawa Mahal is highly recommended as a site in Jaipur since it not only provides an insight into the royal history of the city but also provides an experience that is visually magnificent. The facilities, in conjunction with the shopping areas that are located nearby, make it a well-rounded excursion that offers the ideal combination of historical significance and the vitality of the local community.

Hawa Mahal is the heart of Jaipur city.... Beautiful, symmetric and mesmerizing !!! Are situated in the main city and is thus generally crowded, especially in the evening. It has been a year since I visit at this palace. And I'm still in a hangover of this beautiful palace. The entry fees is rupees 50 per head. And you are allowed cameras and mobile phones and all your bags with you. On entering the palace you see a beautiful fountain which is a good place for taking pictures as the palace will also be visible in the background. Then you just have to climb and keep climbing the stairs tell you reach the top. From there you have the citi's aerial view. There are multi coloured glasses on the window covers that looks really beautiful. In the place is usually windy on the top. A few things that I found amazing about this palace are mini windows on the gallery, the symmetry of the palace, colourful windows and the city view from the top. Really had a great experience visiting this palace "The Heart of the Pink City- Jaipur" !!

Absolutely beautiful....I can see why it's one of the top places to visit in Jaipur. One advice before you visit Hawa Mahal would be don't go during the day... you'll be cooked in sun. The beautiful photo of the Hawa Mahal you see everywhere is not inside but actually outside and can be best enjoyed from one of the several cafes on the opposite side of the road. If you're just visiting for that amazing photo of the palace. Just go to the tattoo cafe or something.

Wow. If you're student it's actually free. Wear masks and follow proper traffic rule cause I paid 1000 rupee fine. Watch it inside out and you'll understand why it's called "Hawa Mahal". Infront of it across the street is a cafe where you can have tea and just watch sunset and Hawa Mahal in the same frame.

Title: Mesmerizing Night View at Hawa Mahal, Jaipur I recently had the opportunity to visit the iconic Hawa Mahal in Jaipur during the evening hours, and the experience was nothing short of enchanting. The stunning architecture of this historical monument comes alive under the magical glow of the night lights, creating a truly mesmerizing sight that left me in awe. As I stood in front of the intricately designed facade of the Hawa Mahal, I couldn't help but marvel at the intricate lattice work and the countless windows that allowed the cool evening breeze to flow through. The play of light and shadow on the sandstone walls gave the structure a mystical aura that transported me back in time to the royal era of Rajasthan. The lively atmosphere around the Hawa Mahal added to the charm of the visit, with street vendors selling local snacks and souvenirs, and crowds of visitors enjoying the beauty of the monument. The view from the top floors of the Hawa Mahal offered a panoramic vista of Jaipur city illuminated by the shimmering lights, making it a picture-perfect moment that I will cherish forever. Overall, the night visit to Hawa Mahal was a delightful experience filled with history, culture, and scenic beauty. I would highly recommend this enchanting spot to anyone visiting Jaipur, especially during the evening hours when the monument truly shines in all its glory. In conclusion, my visit to Hawa Mahal under the night sky was a memorable and breathtaking experience that exceeded all my expectations. It's a must-visit destination for anyone seeking to soak in the vibrant heritage and architectural marvels of Jaipur. Happy Travels, Chiragbarry

No doubt the Hawa Mahal is mesmerizing, a treat to eyes. This place history is even more interesting than the place itself. If you are in Jaipur do visit this place and take lot of photos as this place has stunning lighting in night for photos. In day time also it looks superb. Since it is followed by market on both side the road is conjusted and always having traffic so make sure to put your vehicle in parking or better take a public vehicle.

Hawa Mahal - The Palace in Air.. one of the greatest architectural building standing in the Heart of Jaipur City.. The palace is really airy as the name and the look in the evening under the lights is overwhelming and peace to one's eye.. A part of the building is actually in the air and still stands tall - the reason of the heritage building is one of the most visited place in Jaipur.!! Jaipur is also called pink City because most of the structure, houses are build with red sandstone. It was built for kingdoms ladies to watch processions or functions on the road without going out our be seen by others, that's why the mahal had so many small and big windows. Hawa Mahal is one of the main attractions of Jaipur. You can click pictures here from outside without giving any money or take a ticket for 50/-(Indian) and visit from inside as well. The view from outside is different in the morning and evening. I'll suggest something between 5-6 so, you can see both the views. Hawa Mahal has a good market and a connecting metro line as well. There are 2 cafes in front of hawa Mahal the food there is amazing. Enjoy your trip. 👍

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights.. It is really clean and well kept. The location is in the centre of the city. The toilets are clean as well. Room had the usual toiletries, Kettle, Tea ingredients, Hair dryer etc. Would totally recommend.. My room did not have a balcony though. Hotel Hawa Mahal does look like it has a balcony from the outside but you don't have access to it.

This palace is a five-story pyramidal shaped monument that rises to about 50 feet (15 m). The top three floors of the structure have the width of a single room, while the first and second floors have patios in front of them. The front elevation, as seen from the street, is like a honeycomb with small portholes. Each porthole has miniature windows and carved sandstone grills, finials and domes. It gives the appearance of a mass of semi-octagonal bays, giving the monument its unique façade. The inner face on the back side of the building consists of chambers built with pillars and corridors with minimal ornamentation, and reach up to the top floor.

Do visit this beautiful place for it's historic importance. The Hawa Mahal is the signature monument of Jaipur. The monument is tall🏯 with 5 storeys to visit. Ticket🎫 costs 50Rs as on 12 March 2022. The place is crowded all the time but still worth the wait. The view of Jaipur City from top is spectacular. However the iconic photos of the Mahal-front everyone see is taken from a very busy road. So if you want to take photographs📸of the monument, do visit the restaurant facing the mahal so you can get good shots from there.

In my opinion, it was a great experience to see the whole city of Jaipur from the top of the Hawa Mahal. It was like being in a hawa flowing with its assistance in the top. I would appreciate it if you visited it once at night. The magical view of the city at night is simply breathtaking, with the twinkling lights and stars in the sky and the city lit up like a fairytale. It creates an ambience of romance and mystery that is hard to resist, and it's a great way to experience the city of Jaipur in a unique way. The Hawa Mahal is one of the most iconic landmarks of Jaipur, and it is especially stunning at night. From the terrace of the Hawa Mahal, you can get a spectacular view of the city and its many monuments, all lit up in the night sky. The beauty of the Hawa Mahal at night is truly captivating, and it is an experience that you should not miss. All in all, the Hawa Mahal at night is a magical experience that will stay with you for a long time.

Although Not a comfortable place to get a perfect picture because the area in front is very less and crowded but overall a good experience of the heritage of India we all are proud of. ❤️❤️

Hawa Mahal in Jaipur is a captivating masterpiece of architecture. Its intricate pink sandstone exterior make it a truly unique landmark. The windows and latticework allow cool breezes to flow through, keeping it pleasantly cool in the scorching Jaipur heat. It's a place where you can immerse yourself in history, capture beautiful photos, and get a taste of Jaipur's vibrant culture. Hawa Mahal is a must-visit place. Good shopping places available near the monument. Located at the centre of the city. A beautiful place doesn’t even need words to describe its beauty. Looks very pretty be it in daytime or in nigh-time.

The Hawa Mahal night view is a mesmerizing spectacle that transforms the iconic structure into a luminous masterpiece. The intricate architecture is bathed in a soft glow, accentuating its delicate honeycomb design. The surrounding area is illuminated, creating a magical ambiance. Visiting at night provides a unique and enchanting perspective, making it a must-see experience for anyone in Jaipur. 💗

Hawa Mahal or you can say the Palace of winds is situated in the centre of Jaipur. The visiting tickets cost ₹50 for adults and for students it's only ₹20. It has two entry gates through which one can entry the premises. It consists of three floors which is all covered with beautiful decor and carvings. All the windows in the premises are closed due to security reasons only few left open and few means few, just one or two. It was made for the queen so that they can feel cold breeze in the hold summer. When I visited the top I can feel the cold wind in the hot summer.

The place feels like a maze to navigate through, if you get through that get ready for even more crowd. Getting to the top floor will be very difficult with narrow walkways. However, that is the story with every other monument and being located in a crowded place, the architecture is truly something to behold upon.

Beautiful view with lots of subtle works of precision. You have to pay Rs50 per adult as entry fee. There are some passages, which are very congested, so a bit careful while climbing the mahal. Climb till top to get the best views of the city too.

I would say the outer infrastructure of the monument is amazing. But it's really hyped. I was hoping for something fascinating on the inside as well. However, it is kind of suffocated and petite from the inside. The view tho from the rooftop is cool.

Don't miss this place if you are visiting Jaipur. To enter the building costs you 50 Rs if you are an Indian citizen. The front side of the building (which you can visit without paying any fee) is the best view of the whole building. It's stunning!!! The place is crowned most of the time. If you need to know more about the history of the building, hire a guide.

This is a really beautiful Mahal built by the rulers for the women in the kingdom to come & see the streets & the bazaars as they weren’t allowed to leave the kingdom in the early days. This is one of very few places which were initially built without any foundation. This architectural marvel is very nice to look at & is incredibly picturesque. The best view of the Hawa Mahal is from the 2-3 rooftop restaurants right opposite the road. They ensure that you place your orders 1st & can then proceed to go take your pictures after. It’s quite hot, so I would recommend visiting after 5:30 PM so that the sun has atleast started to set & you won’t be able to sit in the rooftop restaurants opposite to enjoy the view.

Another great architecture of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal has a no of windows so that wind can be passed through those windows. Try to visit here at the early morning. Reach within 9.30 am. Complete visiting this whole palace within 30-35 minutes. You will be witnessed of a beautiful reflection of sun thorough those colourful glasses. Don't forget to visit this spot. Hawa Mahal is an open area behind a wall which was meant for the ladies in the palace to see the activities going on in the city back in 1799. The wall contains 953 small windows with colourful glasses and netted windows so that they can look without themselves being visible to the city. Oh, how creative. We visited Hawa Mahal on weekday and it was crowded. The ticket is priced at ₹52 per person. It’s maintained well but again washroom facilities don’t exist or we dint see any!

Beautiful place. The history behind those windows are even more interesting! The structure is very beautiful and attractive. Given its view from the road side and view of the road from inside is a good planning to have the queens enjoy the outside world sitting at their comfort from inside.

Ticket prices Indian - 50 per person Foreigners - 500 per person Indian Student - 20 ( take your i card and must not be expired )

Visiting Hawa Mahal in the evening was an enchanting experience that left a lasting impression. As the sun began its descent, the iconic structure, also known as the "Palace of Winds," seemed to come alive with a golden hue, casting a mesmerizing glow over the intricate honeycomb facade. The delicate latticework and ornate windows created a play of shadows that added to the palace's allure. Strolling through the bustling bazaars surrounding Hawa Mahal, the lively atmosphere and vibrant street life heightened the overall experience. Though the property needs some maintainance work, it still stand in it's full glory.

Hawa Mahal, or the Palace of Winds, is a delicate architectural gem in Jaipur. Its distinctive honeycomb façade, adorned with intricately designed windows, allows the breeze to gracefully flow through, creating a cool and airy atmosphere. While not a palace for residence, its purpose was to provide a discreet vantage point for the royal women. The vibrant history and unique design make Hawa Mahal a must-see, offering a glimpse into the opulence and ingenuity of Jaipur's past.

Visited Hawa Mahal in the month of November. It is located on a busy street in old Jaipur city. Hawa Mahal seems beautiful from the front side, and you will find it hard to click a photo because of the great rush. I suggest you go across the road. There is a cafe named Wind View Cafe that is the best place to view the Hawa Mahal and also shoot some pictures.

Stand on the road and face the facade of the palace. It seems small but enter in to discover a whole world that didn't seem to exist! Go back in time with the help of TripMyWay audio guide and learn about this Mahal. PS: If you hire a rickshaw to take you to a few other places too apart from Hawa Mahal, he may try and convince you to only take a pic from outside and move on, but don't fall for it.

Best Historical Palace. Hawa Mahal (English translation: "The Palace of Winds" or "The Palace of Breeze") is a palace in Jaipur, India approximately 300 kilometers from the capital city of Delhi. This palace is a five-story pyramidal shaped monument that rises to about 50 feet (15 m).

The architecture of the building is so amazing that I wanted to stay and appreciate it for a minute. It was so great to watch numerous different size windows which lit up the whole palace. Every window allowed a slim yet cool stream of air to enter the palace and naturally ventilate it plus maintain the temperature of the fort also. One more thing is the roof of the palace is amazing place also. The whole pink city, that is Jaipur is visible from there(not completely 😁😁) and it was so amazing to watch it from there. The top also has strong currents of cool air passing by and giving you a cool ehsaas but as the crowd was too much during my visit I was not able to feel that breeze properly. But all in all it's a fun and a great place to visit. And your whole mind gets refreshed once you visit there.

Today i am writing about my visit to Jaipur. i went to jaipur with my friends. We had a knowledge about Hawa Mahal but we didn't visit . As we reached there, we found a red stone building with several windows. we were asked by the guide that it has 953 jharokhas (windows) and all are decorated with intricate lattice work. Cool breezes enter through the window and keep the inner atmosphere extremely pleasant and airy. So It was our great day there. Please Visit atleast once in your life. Jai mata di Bharat mata ki jai

Resembling Krishna’s crown, Hawa Mahal is an elaborate monument in Jaipur. Standing right in the middle of the old market of Jaipur, the structure made of red and pink sandstone keeps the name of the Pink City very proudly. Lal Chand Ustad has put a lot of effort in designing the back of the palace to blend in the city, which is now also confused as the front by people. Also known as ‘The Palace of Winds’, the Hawa Mahal is a part of the City Palace. There is no entrance from the main road to the mahal, so you have to seek for the gate which let you enter. Inside are five floors designed very carefully. There are 953 ‘jharokhas’ made to allow the winds to pass into the palace and keep it fresh and breezy in sweltering summers. Being surrounded by the traditional market of Jaipur, you will find all the authentic pieces of souvenirs related to the culture and the history of Jaipur. Hence, you can club shopping while visiting the palace. Make sure to spend your entire evening shopping traditional souvenirs and then wait for dusk to draw upon only to see the colourfully lit Hawa Mahal standing amidst the bustling market. Entry Fees: the charge for Indians is Rs. 20 and for foreigners, the cost is Rs. 50. You can even get the facility to buy a composite ticket which will be valid for two days. The charge is Rs. 300 for the Indians and Rs. 1000 for foreign tourists. With the help of this ticket, you can combine your visit to other closest attractions. Camera Charges: Indians will be charged Rs. 10 for photography and foreigners have to pay Rs. 30.

Jaipur has numerous stories to tell you, hawa mahal is one of the famous monuments, I have been to this place many time but each time I go, i find it more and more beautiful❤️❤️. - one should always bring bottle of water since Jaipur has hot climate and to cover this building you need atleast 2 hours. - if you are student, don’t forget your ID card since students have special discount on entry ticket. - keep your mask on 😷

Decent place for photography and view from the top of Hawa Mahal is really beautiful. It's known for it's 365 windows which provide a great view from the inside. Windows have 6-7 different colors which are referred as Ratan, they provide a very colorful and vivid look of the place in the night time. A must see place in Jaipur.

  • 5/5 Arein G. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful and magnificent! The palace is based on Hindu Rajput architecture and looks absolutely stunning. It’s located right at the side of the main market road. One can also go inside the place and spend an hour or two exploring. There’s a ticket-based entry. The view from the top is marvellous. The colours and designs from the outside are also really beautiful. Can do some really good photography here. It’s a five-storey pyramidal structure made out of pink and red coloured sandstone. A must visit if you’re in Jaipur!

This very beautiful palace is situated in capital of Rajasthan, "Jaipur the Pink city". This is because of the pink color of this palace . This building is built without footing/foundations, that is amazing. It is having 953 windows, which are made for ventilation. So this palace remains cool in all seasons. Can visit in all seasons. Best is Sept. To march. Have to buy tickets for entry. Need to walk a lot.

Hawa Mahal is a beautiful architecture made out of red sandstone and is a must visit site in Jaipur city. The word Hawa translates to air in English this Hawa Mahal means Air Palace, it was built in 1799, the architecture of the building was made in such a way that the queen used to stay there and the air which used to pass through those windows used to have a cooling effect. It's a famous tourist destination and you can enjoy it more if you have a guide with you or can take an electronic voice assisted tour to know history of architecture.

A beautiful and must visit place in Jaipur. From morning to night it has completely different vibe that gives to the visitors, either from inside or outside.

Rajasthan's palaces and forts are large in number, its architectures are the monuments today. Each architecture has its own history and grandeur in Rajasthan. Hawa Mahal was built by Rajput Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. These interesting facts about Hawa Mahal will depict its elegance and the reason behind such a design. The palace is constructed with the red and pink sandstone, has a blend of Mughal and Rajasthani style of architecture. The artistic carvings and the structure of Hawal Mahal stands in the middle of the Jaipur in its elegance. Hawa Mahal is a unique and popular tourist place that should not be missed in Rajasthan. Let's know about some fun facts about Hawa Mahal! Hawa Mahal is built in the shape of a crown, it looks like Lord Krishna's crown. Sawai Pratap Singh was believed to be a great devotee of Lord Krishna. His passion became the reason behind this design.

Hawa mahal, one of the best place to visit in jaipur. The hawa mahal is dedicated to lord krishna. It is said that the shape of the building resembles the crow of krishna. It has a total 5 floors. Must visit once one of the best place in India.

Hawa Mahal is an open area behind a wall which was meant for the ladies in the palace to see the activities going on in the city back in 1799. The wall contains 953 small windows with colourful glasses and netted windows so that they can look without themselves being visible to the city. Oh, how creative!

  • 4/5 Rajesh K. 9 months ago on Google
The place is too crowded, and the roads are very narrow. Overall a good place to visit and spend a few mins. The recommendation is to visit Tattoo cafe, which is right opposite to Hawa Mahal to capture good pictures. The catch is that you need to order at least 1 dish, and if it's a group then the bill amount should be above 500₹.

  • 5/5 Deepesh P. 11 months ago on Google
This palace is incredible and beautiful at the same time. If you are in Jaipur and you missed it, oh no. It should not have happened. Hawa Mahal's meaning is the palace of winds and you literally feel that by visiting the palace. The architectural beauty takes you back in time of rich culture of Rajasthan which still is. This palace is built without a foundation so it is full of wonder. The beautiful palace is the signature monument of pink city. This palace is one of the reasons why Jaipur is a World Heritage City.

Great experience! Jaipur is a beautiful city known for its vibrant culture, historical landmarks, and delicious cuisine. It's always fun to explore a new place with friends and create lasting memories.

  • 5/5 Hashim Z. 8 months ago on Google
Hawa Mahal’s central location in the heart of the city makes it easily accessible, and it’s often included in sightseeing tours of Jaipur. The best time to visit is during the early morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds and enjoy the gentle breeze that gives the palace its name. Travelers often appreciate the architectural beauty, intricate craftsmanship, and historical significance of Hawa Mahal. However, some visitors have mentioned that the interior exhibits could be more informative and better organized. Overall, a visit to Hawa Mahal is a delightful experience, where you can immerse yourself in the regal heritage of Jaipur and admire the splendid architecture that makes this palace an architectural marvel. It’s an essential stop on any Jaipur itinerary and a glimpse into the city’s royal past.

  • 4/5 Ronak M. 8 months ago on Google
A perfect place to get the good pictures in Jaipur specially in night when the monument shines up with lights. Not advisable to go inside as it is like a broken house with lots of windows. Also the ticket price is way to much which is not worth. Avoid taking your own vehicle as it is situated in one of the busiest streets of Jaipur.

  • 5/5 Prabuddha B. 5 months ago on Google
Hawa Mahal is a very popular tourist spot located in the Marketplace. It is very lively in the evening. Foreigners and Indian tourists gather around for shopping and taking pictures. Local items for tourists are available here at a reasonable price if properly bargained. Metro station is very close by making it easily accessible.

  • 4/5 Sanjeev K. 5 months ago on Google
Another must place to visit on your itinerary if you're planning on a Jaipur tour. Try to be the first person to enter the Mahal ( it opens around sharp 9 so be there at 8:45) as you'll get a lot of wonderful photos and can see and experience the Mahal with a calm and serene vibe. It has a couple of good shopping spots near it ig but i didn't explore it much. Try to get a rickshaw for the entire Jaipur safari so as to get your ample amount of time for the entire tour. Chillos.

Hawa Mahal is the heart of Jaipur City. Great place, Scenic views and beautiful public. On the top of it you can see the whole city and the very next place is Amer fort. You can also find market place and food shops near Hawa Mahal but be aware of scammers.

A Majestic Marvel: Exploring the Grandeur of Hawa Mahal in Jaipur Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, is a testament to Jaipur's rich history and architectural brilliance. Standing before this iconic structure, I couldn't help but be captivated by its intricate honeycomb facade and the timeless elegance it exudes. The ornate windows, designed to allow the royal ladies a discreet view of the city below, paint a vivid picture of the regal past. The delicate pink hues of the building, synonymous with Jaipur's nickname "The Pink City," add to the charm and grandeur of Hawa Mahal.

  • 4/5 Marcos O. 4 months ago on Google
It is definitely a must-take experience if you are in Jaipur visiting. This palace is a good architectural trip, plus it is surrounded by bazaars with incredible local things that will drive you crazy. The only reason I gave it two 4 stars is because of the high price for foreigners.
