Location is perfect, very close to the tourist attractions. The hotel has no swimming pool nor steam room and spa. But still one of the hotel of great value. I loved the breakfast, very updated facilities. Staff are so kind and professionals.

I had stayed in exacutive suite for two night by upgrade as Bonvoy elite membership. Everything was perfect and cozy eventhough it's not a fancy brand-new style. Location, condition of the room and all the happy staffs makes customers cozy and relaxed. Very welcomed and recommended hotel.

Just enjoyed a night to visit Koln’s Christmas Markets. Large spacious rooms, lovely breakfast. Executive Lounge is quite small but offers drinks/snacks but no breakfast (downstairs). Only downside is that the parking was full on Saturday during this high season.

Location is great! Super close to train station and the Cathedral. But I was beyond impressed by the staff. They spoke great English and were friendly and helpful, and took a lot of time to help us out in explaining the hotel and things to do in Cologne. The rooms are modern, spacious, and clean. After coming in from Paris and staying at an Air bnb, it was nice to have a shower longer than two minutes and with water pressure. And when we checked out, they offered to hold our luggage while we explored Cologne, since we had a late train. And when we retrieved our luggage, a staff member offered to take our luggage on a cart and take it two blocks to the train station. Best accommodations and staff that I have experienced in a long time, and I travel a lot. GREAT HOTEL!!!!

We booked a last minute stay and on the website they have rooms with a view however the only room that we were offered is looking to an inside circle that you only see windows of other rooms and we asked if there is any alternative the answer of the hotel manager was basically no as they did not have any other option. We saw the room which was really disappointing and called the manager again to at least get a breakfast as a complimentary which I think is a very reasonable and easy wish to comply. She basically also replied with one sentence. I think for 272 euro + plus 28 euro car park without breakfast looking at a wall, this is not worth the money.

The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient, the room comfortable and well appointed. I enjoyed the food even more than I did on my last visit. Full marks for applying COVID regulations with efficiency and without drama.

We enjoyed our stay here in Cologne to visit the Christmas markets. The location is great, just a short walk from the train station and the cathedral. The staff was very nice and the room was spacious for a European hotel.

Perfect location! Could see Kolner Dom points from the front door. Location also made the city sights very walkable. Parked in the underground garage for our entire stay (elevator from garage takes you to the hotel lobby). Garage had very slender pathways for driving though, due to support beams. Breakfast was expensive, but so worth the money. Drink was brought by waitstaff, omelets were made to order, selections for food were limitless. Staff was quite helpful with having food delivered, and restaurant staff was gracious in lending us silverware. Overall, one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, in one of the most amazing cities. 10/10 would absolutely stay here again!

Once we got our room sorted. We booked a walk-in shower as opposed to a bath, it was great. Reception is too small and doesn't have enough staff. They need a proper concierge. The executive lounge was OK, but there is no WC. You have to go down six floors.

Fairly average stay No status recognition at all for LT Platinum Room (433) overheated; air con could not cool down room. Had to sleep naked… Bath hub has only small glass window. After a 20min shower I had to recognize that I flooded the bathroom. Location still good.

The Cologne Marriott Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the train station, making it an ideal spot for exploring Cologne. From the moment we arrived, the reception was welcoming, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The hotel itself is a delightful place to relax. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring a variety of delicious omelet options that are hard to match. The staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring every aspect of my visit was perfect.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Da wir erst am späten Nachmittag abgereist sind, war das entgegen kommen vom Hotel sehr positiv. Indem wir das Auto noch im Parkhaus stehen lassen konnten und nichts draufzahlen mussten. Guter Service und nicht immer selbstverständlich.

Ein sehr gutes Hotel, welches das Restaurant endlich renoviert hat. Die Lage ist perfekt nahe des Hauptbahnhofs. Die Mitarbeiter alle stets freundlich. Leider muss man viel warten. Beim Check-in wartet man, vorm Frühstück wartet man auf kleine Zettel, die noch ausgefüllt werden müssen. Dann wird man aber nicht zum Platz gebracht und wartet nochmal bis man Kaffee bestellen kann.

Perfect Location, rooms and friendly staff, it’s right in the centre of the city, all the attractions are a walk away, east to walk from the railway station to the hotel. The rooms are clean and well kept, the staff were kind enough to explain the map well after check in, must stay hotel in cologne.

Very close from main train station, from which there are cheep trains to the airport. Rooms are spacoiuos and clean. Front desk employees are super kind. Excellent breakfast.

Standard Marriott hotel. Had an executive room with lounge access. All very good. Conveniently located near the central station, opposite side to the Cathedral and central downtown, but only few minutes walk away from it. Be careful as Cologne city taxes/tourist levies are crazy expensive (32€ for two nights…).

Around 5 mins walk from Train Station. It located another side from the Dom and shopping area. Quite location but somehow lots of homeless around the hotel area.

I do not recall the last time I had such a pleasant hotel experience. They upgraded our room and sent a complimentary cake and beverages as a way to say Happy Birthday to my wife. The staff were extremely friendly and spoke several languages with excellence. The hotel is on a quiet street just a five minute walk from the cathedral. I wish we had stayed longer.

It was a very pleasant stay. The team members were very attentive, helpful and service oriented. Everyone tried alway to help. In the first night we had a room with very old mattress which were very uncomfortable once we mentioned it in the reception when we came back from a tour. They have already changed the mattress which I appreciate a lot. Overall I think the rooms could be a bit more modern but after all I like the lobby and the breakfast room. I also used the gym and saune which was great, it has more to offer then most of the gyms in hotels. The location was 5 min distance to the train station and the center which is great.

Loved, loved, loved this hotel. Great location walking distance from train station, Cathedral, historical areas, and great restaurants. I had mentioned it was our honeymoon and about an hour and a half after we checked in, the Guest Experience manager sent up a bouquet of red roses, Rosé wine, and some macaroons and fruit with a lovely note. I don't understand why Cast Iron Grill has not the greatest reviews, we ordered room service our last night and it was delicious. Steak cooked perfectly. Requested robes and Slippers and they were super comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

This Marriott hotel is my go-to hotel in Cologne. It’s in a convenient location, walking distance to the main train station. The executive lounge and its team members are superb. During my stay, Rizal has been so tentative to take care of the guests. Making sure the place is clean, well stocked, quickly refill our drinks, pleasant conversations. Thank you Rizal!!! You make frequent travelers at Marriott feel like at home.

The stay in hotel was really nice. However, I had to pay 100 euro deposit, and I was told by the Marriott personnel that as soon as I check out, the money will be back on my account. So, it passed already 24 hours, my money is still not returned. I advise that you stop lying to people because it makes me super angry, and everything else what you provided falls into a shadow compared to this big lie you serve to the people.

I did stay for 2 nights! As a platinum member I do grade it 4/5, because there is always ways for better service in todays competitive world. This grading includes, check in, room cleanliness, amenities, lounge, location and check out. I definitely recommend it and would stay there again in the future. The hotel meets Marriott’s standards.

Unfortunately, one of the hotels where very good employees build something and the others break it with their ignorance. The good: Definitely the Executive Lounge! At first, you stumble a bit, because the lounge seems quite small and unspectacular. In everyday life, however, it turns out that the lounge is sufficiently large. But that is not the point at all. The point of this lounge are definitely the employees! They are all extremely friendly and courteous. I would even say that in Germany, in terms of friendliness and lounges, it was our best experience so far. Absolute compliments! The food in the lounge is also really good. The selection is good, although not extremely large. But what is offered is good. Maybe there could be more selection of alcoholic drinks (especially wine) during happy hour. The location of the hotel is also very good. You walk 5 minutes to the main train station and the cathedral. The negative: We are Platinum Elite members. That's why there was lounge access for us. Did we get a room upgrade? No idea! Probably not. Anyway, our room smelled like sweat. And we first had to clean the office chair and the armchair in the room itself. There were some stains on there that you could easily see and they came off just fine. The toilet lid in the bathroom was wobbling and dust was sprawling out of the vent directly above the toilet. Although the hotel and thus the rooms schone older, but all this should not be. We informed the reception with the request to fix the toilet seat and clean the fume hood. Unfortunately, no one came. The next day the same game. No one came either. The mattress was not very comfortable anymore either. Because of the good executive lounge we would give 4*. Because of the poor housekeeping and repairs not done, it would be only 2*, therefore 3*.

Great location a five minute walk to the train station and cathedral. Staff was helpful and friendly and English was no problem. Gym was well equipped (even a sauna!) and clean. They left us a special surprise for our wedding anniversary which was truly above and beyond and meant so much to us. If we ever find ourselves in Cologne again, we will definitely stay here!

I love this hotel, the location, the people everything about it. I had a an issue the other week where Marriott the 800 number could not help me. I e mailed the manager Mr Dirk Schoebel and asked him to help me. He could not have been more kind and attentive and made sure I was well taken care of Special shout out!!!!! The hotel is conveniently located near the train station. The service at front desk was excellent. Restaurant service was good, food a bit pricey. The room was clean but the room service was poor. I requested feather free room due to allergies. They replaced the pillows but the bedding and cover had had feathers that caused severe reactions, almost choked me and became sick. Also, did not get bottled waters in the room. Room wasn’t cleaned properly either.

The best choice for your staying. The hotel is in the center and everything is so close so you can walk all over the city.The stuff so gentle and polite and made our staying so pleasant. Totally recommended!

The room itself was standard - comfortable but unremarkable, which aligns well with the price point. A notable downside was the elevator situation; with just one operational lift accommodating a handful of people at a time, navigating the five floors of the hotel was often a test of patience. On one occasion, opting for the stairs was the faster choice. Overall, the Marriott Cologne is a reasonable option for budget-conscious travelers who can overlook some logistical hiccups. My rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

Excellent location, 5mins walk from the central station. Can't say much about the amenities as we didn't use it. Room is clean and spacious. Reception service is okay could be better.

This is a good hotel for a business trip. Quite expensive though. Nice and clean rooms. Good breakfast, however, it may be hard to get fried eggs or find a table if you are there between 8:00 and 9:00.

It was really spacious inside the room.Happened to see lot of rooms in this hotel. They had a very good breakfast menu which covered for all international guests. Also they had live counter for breakfast. The hotel was really neat and they did provide a good service. For the people starting early morning from the hotel they placed fruits and water at the reception which was unique. We enjoyed the stay.it was close to central railway station.

I enjoyed my stay at the Marriott. My family and I stayed one night and we got everything we needed. I needed a crib and some ice and they brought it up very quickly. I also had the in room service for cappuchinos ( did not want to pay full price for a big breakfast so I got bakery items down the street). The coffees were not exceptional, but they did the job and we're served well. The elevator wasn't working to only our floor, and the lady apologized and offered us some water for our trouble. I thought that was a nice touch. The parking was expensive, but it was pay per hour until a certain hour, then it was pay per day. My car felt safe there.

Food in restaurant was superb. Rooms are clean and modern. Would definitely recommend.

It could just be the added restrictions of the pandemic but the staff were almost adversarial in me being able to stay in the hotel. for a few minutes I was pretty sure they were going to turn me away despite having a reservation. My room was on the first floor and when opening the windows I had a beautiful view of the patio restaurant 5 ft away. luckily the restaurant was not open. It is conveniently located to the train station so that's a plus.

I stayed at this hotel for 25 nights during August 2020. I was in Cologne for medical reasons. This is a First Rate Hotel. Immaculate in terms of cleanliness. The staff became like friends to me. They anticipated my needs and went above and beyond my expectations in terms of professionalism, accuracy, COVID awareness and overall hospitality. Mr. Singh is their director of guest services and you will not find a better one in any hotel in Cologne. I have stayed at 50+ Marriott properties over the last 10 years and Cologne beats them all easily. Stay here and be happy. Great location and amenities as well. Well done!

Couldn't be checked into our booked hotel, so my girlfriend and I had to look locally for other hotels around it in the early hours of the morning. Marriot was next up as the previous hotels were full. I knew it would not be cheap but over €450 euros for what was essentially 10 hours or less of sleep :/ € 50 euros per hour of sleep. But the hotel staff knew they were taking advantage of us both, but we were tired and exhausted from travel, and neither of us wanted to sleep on the streets of cologne when it's wet, cold and rainy. But if it wasn't for the bed we both would have preferred the streets to be honest at least we wouldn't feel ripped off. No breakfast included in the extortionately inflated price. No milk for the tea, noisy Aircon, My girlfriend felt that the main room needed a full length mirror. As bathroom mirror steamed up and was the only one in the room. Also for the price you would expect reasonable toiletries. After applying shampoo she said the hair felt like straw, there was some conditioner at least. One tiny shower gel to share. One bedside table no plug sockets to charge phone next to bed. Had to carry our own bags up to our room. Bad sleep 💤 even if the bed was adequate and large in size when your own conscience is playing havoc with your mind when you have massively over paid for a room which wasn't even worth €150 max Staff may have been friendly on the desk but when the above happens who really cares.

It has an excellent location, less than a five minute walk from the train station, and a short walk to the Cathedral. I stayed for one night to see the local Christmas markets and found two of them very easily. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was pretty good. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend

We stayed here for one night as part of a road trip through Europe. Our car was too high for the garage, and Mr. Samson from the Technical Services provided a wonderful, friendly, and warm solution! He went out of his way to take me to an appropriate garage, and gave me a quick tour of surroundings! Wonderful gentleman!

Gear location, great customer service, apart from Un trained receptionist who I have meet for check in and check out. The receptionist was not polite at all and expressed some of angry mode when replying to some queries, unfortunately I have to stop the check out process with this lady and joined the queue to complete the check out process with another receptionist.

Very nice staff, great location, super close to station and cathedral. Hotel room was great! It was big, spacious and clean. Only thing hotel can improve on is providing things like: hotel slippers, more hand soap (anti bacterial one is better), face cotton pads, ear buds etc. There was only the very basics, such as 1 shower cap, 1 soap, 1 shoe mitt. Otherwise, breakfast was also great and the staff working there were also very kind.

What a great stay here! Let me start out by saying it was our first time in Cologne and my first time in Europe, on Check in we met Louis who was in training he was extremely nice and handed us a map and showed us all of the places to go in Cologne! The hotel it self was very clean our room was very nice and big and the bed was comfortable! Marriott always proves to be the best hotel chain out there!

Very good accessible options for wheelchair ♿️ users clients. The service on check-in was immaculate. The hotel just should be more flexible & adaptive in applying or using different security payments options. Just be more open minded.

Great room. Amazing location... but both outshined by the staff... the 5 star staff make the hotel 5 stars. Everyone we interacted with was amazing.. front desk, bar tenders, restaurant, exec lounge and lobby concierge... oh and of course the quality housekeepers. I don't know when I last was in a large hotel that had quality across the whole staff. It was a one time visit. Wish Köln was on my regular tour stops.

Just a very short walk from cologne train station. Ideal for travel across Germany. If you are attending the conference centre in cologne you could take a short train across the river (3euro), walk (25min), or a taxi (12-15euro). The hotel was clean, welcoming, with good food, and amenities. Shower gel and shampoo in rooms, hairdryer, iron, coffee making facilties, plenty of space with 2 double beds. Ice machine on all levels. Breakfast had a good selection of foods both warm and cold, healthy and unhealthy 😋 If you walk through the train station, on the other side is the main cathedral and main streets for shopping. You can also connect very easily here to other airports. For example, I flew to Dusseldorf Airport instead of Cologne. The train was 40 minutes and cost 11euro each way.

Nice place to stay in Cologne due to central location. You can see that renovation was quite long ago there, but overall condition of the rooms, restaurant and lounge is fine. Breakfast is very good and diverse, but is the same every day. Staff is friendly, however cannot say that it was top notch during the stay

Great hotal nicely situated within the city. Clean spacey rooms. Beds are not what you would expect (personal thing) food perfect.. the bar has a lot of different whiskies... Staff and service are really super.. next time when we are in the city we definitely go here again

My wife and in-laws stayed here for a full week over the Christmas break. We had a lovely time. We had a slight issue with the initial charge but it was cleared up rather quickly. The staff were very nice and helpful with any room issue or concern we had. The breakfast buffet was diverse and had a lot of options. We were very lucky to have our breakfasts credited and have access to the executive lounge which made a great location to relax and have drinks or a light dinner when we didnt feel like going out. Hugo, one of the managers checked on us a few times and helped me ensure the billing issue was resolved. He was very nice and accommodating of our extended stay. The Christmas eve dinner of goose was also excellent and they provided free shots of schnapps. The convenience of being located near the central train station and cathedral can also not be overstated, it is the perfect place to be situated in order to explore Cologne and access other cities. The Cologne marriott and staff have our gratitude for a wonderful holiday stay.

Perfect location about 400 meters from central train station. Service was perfect, my only remark is that rooms are being made late noon , and it seems they did not cover all spots during cleaning. I would stay again if i am in cologne !!!

Very dated hotel. Location is very good and staff is friendly. However our room was old and a bit smelly. Aircon didn’t work properly. Bathroom was small and had a shower/bathtub combo (big minus). The food overall was average.

Great choice for staying in Cologne. It has all the services one would expect from a hotel of that rating and the staff was very friendly. No issues with the service. As this is part of a large chain of hotels, it may not have too many individual elements that may set them apart from other similar properties but I would happily stay there again if I am in the vicinity.

This was a fabulous hotel in a great location. I was traveling with my cousin and it was our first time here. We were 6 min from the main Cologne train station, 6 min to the Cologne cathedral and within walking distance of at least 4 of the Christmas markets. I would recommend booking rooms with the breakfast included. The breakfast stations were lovely and it fueled us each day for our adventures. The lobby has plenty of areas to lounge, have a drink, and the staff was incredibly helpful and hospitable. We were greeted with mulled wine (Christmas season) and there is usually a tasty infused water available. They will store your bags for you u til rooms are ready which allows you to start your vacation straight away. We borrowed two umbrellas for a super rainy day and they were a lifesaver. Just be sure to bring them back so your deposit is returned. The rooms were super spacious and so were the bathrooms. The hotel shower soaps were delightful and I didn’t need to use what I had brought. Don’t forget to bring plug converters! They also had google tvs so we were able to cast shows onto the tv in the evening. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel and would revisit.

Amazing hotel, great location and very attentive staff. Parking is safe and secure- make sure you get a green sticker to drive in cologne, we didn’t know about that. Comfy and quiet rooms.
