I was disappointed. The hotel is clean and comfortable, but the air conditioning in the room is totally ineffective and the window does not provide much ventilation. Breakfast was average. Staff are friendly and helpful, but check-in and check-out took quite some time, not a very efficient process. Also, some how my invoice had an address from years ago, despite using my current address when booking and in my Marriott profile...

The stay at the Marriott in Cologne was overall a decent experience. The hotel room was a good size and the blackout curtains worked very well, but the heat was a bit challenging. It was difficult to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. For room amenities, there was no fridge and the coffee was only instant with a kettle to make it with. The bed was fine, not overly comfortable and not uncomfortable. The downside with the room with a street view is that we heard sirens from the street once in a while. The location of the hotel was convenient, with several restaurants and shops within a 5-10 minute walk. It was also an easy walk from the Cologne Hbf station, and we felt safe traveling as two women. The amenities at the hotel were good, with a great happy hour deal at the restaurant and free snacks with cheap beer available daily. The staff were generally friendly, with the bartender being particularly attentive. Overall, it was a decent stay, but there were a few minor issues that could be improved upon.

Had a good stay. Room was comfy. Convenient location. The only downside was our room was not ready when came to check in. Had a drink at the bar. The gym has good equipment options. Breakfast was good, our time slot was 10am-12pm and it was very busy.

Liked my stay. Good gym, friendly staff, fair prices, great breakfast. The room was big enough, clean. Nothing to complain. Close enough to the central train station.

Lovely hotel. Spacious room, very nice breakfast and location perfect to explore Cologne. Central enough to walk everywhere yet quiet enough for a good nights sleep!

Stayed 5 nights. The staff were very helpful on booking in as BA had lost our bags so they gave us toothbrushes & toothpaste free of charge. All the staff were extremely polite & helpful. Rooms very good. We had breakfast inclusive which had a fantastic choice & all delicious. Lots of restaurants nearby & a short walk to the city centre.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Leonardo and Anna Katherine (I may not have her name right) at breakfast are especially lovely. Breakfast is decently varied and the dining area is well-kept. The rooms are okay. My main complaint is the bathroom sink/counter. I understand that there is limited space to work with, but the sink is pretty small and also rather high. I am 5'3" (1.6m) and I found it difficult to brush my teeth or wash my hands/face because I would end up with water running down to my elbows because of the angle of my arms to the sink. The faucet is on the side and not in the back which also makes it inconvenient since it is in the way. It is conveniently located a block from the Eberplatz subway station and there are plenty of shops/restaurants a block over, as well. It is also a 5 minute bus ride from the Köln Zoo, the Flora and Botanical Garden, and the Rheine Seilbahn, which are all good tourist spots.

It's in a great location (just about a 10 minute walk from the train station), and the staff is nice. It's quiet and clean with large rooms and a good bathroom. Our AC unit didn't work well, and it was fairly hot and stuffy in our room at night. Other than that, it was a great stay!

A standard Marriott hotel with all you need Good parking garage with easy access (but a bit pricey at 24€/day) Reception staff friendly and with good English skills Room is large and well equipped with ironing board, safe, desk and chair and all the amenities you need. Breakfast was a bit of a letdown but that’s probably because the restaurant is being rebuilt at the moment Free supplies of coffee and mineral water in the lobby is definitely great for this well-located hotel when you’re gonna stroll around the Köln Altstadt

The room is clean and beautiful, the weekend in Köln was really good. And the hotel staff are very kind because we forgot something in our room and they send us. Thank you very much for that. I can only recommend this hotel.

A good choice for a weekend getaway to Cologne. Convenient location, with Dom within walking distance, and you can find Lime or Tier right outside of the hotel. The room is clean and spacious, and the bed is comfortable. Friendly staff.

The plus point of this hotel are close access to the Cathedral, Rhine river promenade and the main railroad station, we did not find good value for our money at this Courtyard. The ongoing reno of the lobby area may have resulted in the feeling of let down. Overall a disappointing experience.

Stop over on our way back home. Hotel was welcoming with secure underground parking and near the station and Dom. Been to Koln several times and never seen so many homeless people sleeping in shop doorways. Germany, please help those people.

We had a wonderful 2night stay. The staff were very cordial and made our stay hospitable. Special mention to the housekeeping staff for taking extra care to ensure a pleasant stay. The rooms are neat, with wifi, a good television and all the basic amenities included. The location is the highlight as it is right in the heart of cologne city and close to metro, tram stations, train station and the famous cologne cathedral

My experience at this hotel during my 2-day stay has been somewhat mixed. Starting with the negatives, upon arrival, we noticed that the hairdryer in the room was not working properly, and unfortunately, despite reporting it to reception on the same day of our arrival, it remained unresolved until our departure. This was a frustrating inconvenience. Furthermore, the rooms are quite small, which can be uncomfortable, especially if you plan for an extended stay. Regarding breakfast, as a vegan, I expected a greater variety of vegan options. The breakfast buffet left much to be desired in terms of plant-based choices, limiting my culinary experience at the hotel. However, I would like to highlight that during my last visit to the hotel, I received exceptional service from Mohamed Ibrahim from Egypt. His attention and service were remarkable, and he truly made my last experience at the hotel much more enjoyable. His kindness and professionalism made me feel valued as a customer, and that is something I deeply appreciate. In summary, the hotel has areas where it could definitely improve, such as room maintenance and the variety of vegan options at breakfast. But the attentive and friendly service from Mohamed Ibrahim showed a positive side that can make a difference in the overall guest experience. Thanks Kanchan Nandwani we are Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite our objective is to reach one day Ambassador

I highly recommend this hotel! The staff is friendly and very helpful. The rooms are great and it is in a very good location with restaurants nearby and the famous cathedral is just down the road. Exactly what you come to expect from a Marriott and a little bit more!

All in all a really good stay. Was there for 5 nights. The bed was squeaking though. Staff friendly. That breakfast, wow, it was so marvellous!😍

Really disappointed, not Marriott worthy! Upon arrival EVERYONE had to give their ID at check-in. I can understand you might need the ID of the mainbooker but every guest you're travelling with too? It made us feel like we were criminals and checking in literally took forever. I never experienced such a slow check-in at a hotel. We also had to pay a deposit of 200€ while we booked with the option to pay at check-out. This was poorly explained by the staffmember. The second day we received a letter through our door to contact the staff regarding our payment. As curious as we were, we went to the check-in and asked what was wrong. Nothing was wrong, they just wanted to ask if both rooms had to be billed together. Uhm, couldn't they ask that when we first checked-in? A bit silly you ask your clients to approach you for such a small thing. At breakfast we had to fill in our name, roombumber and we had to sign?! For breakfast?! Again, it felt as if we we're in a prison... The rooms are not special. No minibar and my sheets had yellow spots on it! The bathroom had a glassfrosted door and sidewindow that caused the second person to wake up every time you turned on the bathroom light. Going to the toilet at night had to be done with lights off in order to not wake your company. Really not a smart design decission... there was also no suction ventilation system that caused the bathroom to condense very hard. The hotel room temperature regulator had no instruction guide. It's a panel with multiple buttons and lights and there was no guide to be found anywhere, so you were left in the dark how it worked. Water had to be bought from the hotel and was €3,50 for 1 bottle of water! Other hotels provided free water. At the restaurant when I wanted to order in German, I had a staff member that only spoke English...in Germany...make it make sense... Walking from the hotel to the Dom took you through some bad streets that you don't want to walk alone at night. I expected waaaaaay more of a Marriott hotel to say the least!

I was particularly impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff in every department. I would definitely recommend the hotel and plan another stay here.

Comfy bed and very good breakfast. 10 min walk to centre. Hairdryer and iron provided. No parking despite website saying that there is parking. This was the biggest pain problem. They did give us a paper with parking suggestions but two thirds of them were full. It would be quite difficult to find any parking in cologne in a weekend that is near the center. Some minor complaints: Cards for room stopped working at 11:30 despite checkout at 12. Shower is not hot enough . Room cleaner wanted to clean our rooms two hours before checkout and it took us 5 minutes to tell them to come back later due to translation problems. I think the hotel should coordinate better with the crew so they know when guests checkout. 250 euros a night was a bit high, but it was December and it was a Friday night, and every other option was worse or more expensive or far.

Great location. Great room. Unfortunately parking extremely expensive. False advertisement on bookings.com stating private parking as well as parking on site.

Clean, good breakfast, nice hotel quite near railway station. Service was slow when we got there thursday night at 11pm. Situation was still handled nicely though. Would stay again.

Pretty nice place. I stayed her for one night while being in town for a business meeting. The place is well kept and appears new. I had a corner unit on the 5th floor which I can recommend. I wouldn't say it's worth the view but with the window going around the corner, the room seems very bright and friendly. Breakfast was tasty. Don't expect a buffet like you get in those 4* or 5* places but there is definitely a lot to chose from and everything tasted good. It may be hard to find a table during busy hours so make sure you come on time or a bit later during the morning.

Standard business hotel with small rooms (but very new and clean) and a really nice breakfast buffet.

The hotel is very well positioned. An extra parking space costs 24€ per night. The staff is poorly trained. After accommodation, even I informed the receptionist that we will be 2 adults and a dog, she gave me a price but the next day with a different receptionist I had a higher price. Before checking out they asked € 50 for the dog, given that I did not receive a special bowl and bed for the dog. The dog had to sleep with us in bed. They said I will receive the invoice online but now, after 13 days, I still have no invoice.

Great business hotel under Marriott family flag. About 10 minutes flat walk from the dom / köln Hbf but the neighborhood is very safe and there’s are a few supermarket within reach so you can get ur essentials there. The room is modern and clean, comfortable beds and a window overlooking outside. I love the shower in the room which seems to be a huge upgrade compared to their sister property nearby. A small but functional gym on 5th floor is available too. Breakfast / dining area is great. Staffs are eager to help. Tasty food that can fill you up easily. Highly recommend.

Nice hotel, great for a business trip, the lady at the front desk was very, very helpful, polite and informative (Adit or Adi I think her name was)

I stayed here for a weekend. 5-10 minute walk to the Dom and lots of places to get coffee and food nearby. The room was standard for any Courtyard (all the standard stuff you would expect). I even needed extra pillows towels and even on Sunday when housekeeping was not running, they were more than accommodating with dropping them off into my room. However, some points of improvement: Coffee machine should be a little better than a kettle Mini fridge would be nice A/C and/or the window would allow more ventilation Otherwise, I had everything I needed for a weekend stay. For brief stays where you need a place to crash, it does the job.

Hotel looked very clean and modern. The bistro's food was amazingly good, and the staff in the hotel is super friendly and nice. Hotel room was also very clean and nice. We felt right at home. If I have to name a downside, I'd say it's the lack of parking for cars. Though, the hotel is a 10 minute walk from the trainstation and the Dom church (center city).

A nice place to stay near the Cologne Central Station. Comfortable rooms with all amenities included. However, be aware that some of the wall of between the bedroom and the bathroom is frosted glass, which can make late or early trips to the bathroom disturbing for other guests.

Lovely big rooms with a big bathroom. Lots of storage available. Very comfy bed although the duvet was a bit small for the sheet and the air con was not the most effective. Also ate here dinner was lovely but not many options. Breakfast again not many hot options but still a good selection and plenty of bread, pastries, fruit, cereal and yoghurt. Would stay here and the Marriott hotels again.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Courtyard cologne on 31st December, we left 2 chargers in the room, and we called hotel 3 times, they said they will search and call me back, but they never called back. Both charges are very expensive, not the cheap chargers, I can't believe it happened in Marriott. Either cleaner stole them, or they just didn't really search. So disappointed.
