The
"La
Société"
has
always
been
an
icon
for
me
in
recent
years:
a
small
restaurant,
funky
and
comfortably
furnished,
with
a
lively,
sweet
"Mama"
in
perfect
service
and
a
kitchen,
the
local
color
(Kölsche
Tapas
and
"Kwartier
Latäng
"Menu)
combined
with
real
top
cuisine.
Now
I
am
disappointed.
The
nice
lady
and
the
Cologne
tapas
are
still
there
-
but
otherwise?
The
kitchen
(we
took
the
normal
menu
for
EUR
119,
not
the
surprise
menu
for
EUR
95)
has
dropped
significantly.
Where's
the
whistle?
The
calf
heart
or
oyster
amuse
gueule
can
flash
in
two
ways,
but
the
mixture
of
pulpo,
espuma
from
cannellini
beans
and
bolognese
brew
is
one
thing
above
all:
it
tastes
of
bolognese
sauce
in
the
end.
Unfortunately,
I
couldn't
get
much
of
the
stale
dough
dumpling
for
the
mullet
and
the
"flank
of
the
Galician
cow
with
chorizo-cheese
croquettes
with
pimentos"
I
could
also
manage
smoothly
in
my
home
kitchen
if
I
tried
a
little.
The
picture
added
to
the
service,
in
which
the
aforementioned
Italian
was
the
only
one
who
shone
with
charm
and
devotion.
If
you
sit
20
minutes
in
front
of
a
bread
basket
without
a
sip
of
water,
you
have
to
call
the
waiter
for
an
espresso
for
dessert,
or
if
you
wait
10
minutes
in
front
of
your
cheese
plate
until
the
escort
is
served
the
dessert,
you
will
feel
a
little
tired
of
going
over
here
again
To
leave
300
EUR.
Funny
at
the
end:
the
waiter
didn't
want
to
help
my
wife
in
the
coat
(actually
not
an
issue),
but
I
did.
When
I
thought
that
I
could
do
it
myself,
the
answer
was
"Well,
have
a
nice
life."
In
this
sense:
"You
too."
(Original)
Das
"La
Société"
war
für
mich
in
den
letzten
Jahren
stets
eine
Ikone:
Ein
kleines
Restaurant,
irrwitzig
und
gemütlich
eingerichtet,
mit
einer
quirlig-süßen
italienischen
"Mama"
im
perfekten
Service
und
einer
Küche,
die
Lokalkolorit
(Kölsche
Tapas
und
"Kwartier
Latäng"
Menü)
mit
echter
Spitzenküche
verband.
Nun
bin
ich
enttäuscht.
Die
nette
Dame
und
die
kölschen
Tapas
sind
noch
da
-
aber
sonst?
Die
Küche
(wir
nahmen
das
normale
Menü
für
EUR
119,
nicht
das
Surprise
Menü
für
EUR
95,--)
hat
deutlich
nachgelassen.
Wo
ist
da
der
Pfiff?
Beim
Amuse
Gueule
vom
Kalbsherz
oder
den
Austern
auf
zweierlei
Art
mag
dieser
noch
aufblitzen,
aber
die
Mischung
aus
Pulpo,
Espuma
von
Cannellini-Bohnen
und
Bolognese-Sud
zeichnet
vor
allem
eines
aus:
Es
schmeckt
am
Ende
nach
Bolognese-Soße.
Dem
faden
Teigknödel
zur
Meerbarbe
konnte
ich
leider
auch
nicht
viel
abgewinnen
und
die
"Flanke
von
der
galizischen
Kuh
mit
Chorizo-Käse-Kroketten
mit
Pimentos"
könnte
ich
glatt
in
der
heimischen
Küche
auch
hinkriegen,
wenn
ich
mich
ein
bisschen
anstrenge.
Ins
Bild
fügte
sich
der
Service,
bei
dem
die
schon
erwähnte
Italienerin
als
einzige
mit
Charme
und
Zugewandtheit
brillierte.
Wer
20
Minuten
vor
einem
Brotkorb
ohne
einen
Schluck
Wasser
sitzt,
für
einen
Espresso
zum
Dessert
extra
den
Kellner
rufen
muss
oder
am
Ende
10
Minuten
vor
seinem
Käseteller
wartet,
bis
die
Begleitung
das
Dessert
gebracht
bekommt,
dem
vergeht
ein
bisschen
die
Lust,
hier
nochmals
über
300
EUR
zu
lassen.
Kurios
zum
Schluss:
Der
Kellner
wollte
meiner
Frau
nicht
in
den
Mantel
helfen
(eigentlich
kein
Thema),
mir
aber
schon.
Als
ich
dann
meinte,
das
nun
auch
selbst
erledigen
zu
können,
kam
als
Antwort
"Na
gut,
dann
noch
ein
schönes
Leben."
In
diesem
Sinne:
"Euch
auch."
