We couldn't enter the door, because the code sent to us didn't work, so we had to wait 1 hour in front of the entrance until one of the other guests opened the door for us. There is also a huge pile of trash on the left side of the entrance. The room also had a very weird smell. The walls are way too thin, so it's super noisy. Their employees smash against every possible object they could possibly collide with, when they clean up the rooms. They also shout in the hallway at 9am already and if that's not enough there is also a very annoying beep sound every 30s which comes from the hallway, which you can hear the whole night.

Excellent location, only a few minutes walk to Köln Nippes bahnhof or a 35 minute walk to the centre of Cologne. Free parking right outside or if that's full there's plenty of room in the car park. Nice comfy bed, brilliant WiFi and private bathroom good. Shutters on the window were great as our room was on the street and we could not hear anything during the night. All rooms and the front door had a key pad lock with was good as no key required. Friendly staff when we checked in, was more than happy to help. Nice bäckeri round the corner open all day as well as a Netto, Aldi and Lidl all within walking distance.

The location was great. A couple minutes walking distance to the train which was very convenient for our trip. The staff was very helpful. They gave us directions, recommendations, and prices on train tickets. We got a room with a smaller room connected to where we had 4 beds in one room and 2 in another. The rooms were very cold and the heaters didn't help much even on highest setting. There was a sink in the room but it was community bathrooms. Also the walls are very thin so you hear everything. No breakfast included, but you could bring your own food and cook it in their kitchen area. We stayed on a Christmas market weekend so that could be the reason for such a high price but it was €300 for one night. I'm not sure what the cost is normally.

I have stayed in shivas citysleep before 3 years and I liked the place but my recent stay in this hostel was not so good, there were lots of workers and they were very loud in the night. I would still recommend this hostel for 2-3 nights because it has a good location and it is not so expensive.

Location was great if you like taking the train to get around, the room was not to bad and the guy showed us everything we needed to know. Over all the price was the only down side.

Good for passing through. Everything looks clean and tidy. Building is a bit old and not that new anymore. Some wear and tear. Matrasses are good.

Very kind and helpful staff. Thank you for accepting us with our dogs. The only toilet on the floor was blocked so one star down. Otherwise good place to stay. Thank you!

A Terrible place I have never experienced before. At 3:00 am someone speak very loudly in the kitchen, all of us wake up. Very noisy. No light in the toilet. There is only one toilt in the ground floor. I don't recommend this place to sleep.

Stayed at this "lovely" hostel for carnival this year and was pretty disappointed. The individual running the joint was not very hospitable at all and I was left feeling unsafe. Small room with no working heat for being in november. Old building with old appliances, cold water, and few working outlets. Owner doesn't stay at hostel so thankfully I didn't need them for anything important. Very over priced for the condition and quality of the hostel. We had a friend staying at a nearby hotel who would come by when we were about to go out and each time the owner saw us he would insist that we were having more than the alloted amount of people stay there and assume we were attempting to scam him. I do not ever write reviews but I would not suggest staying here. I gave this hostel a 2 because I have unfortunately stayed at worse but for much reasonable prices.

Nice price. Nice Staff. Close to the station and Netto. Free parking , wifi, and kitchen. But the lady's bathroom on the ground floor needed repairing, the hot water didn't come out. So we used the one upstairs.

Stayed for 3 nights. At first, I underestimate what it will be, but turn out, it has best value for what you pay for. The location, (1) It's only 5 minutes walk to Koln-Nippes station, and 2 stops away to Koln Hbf. From Koln Hbf, you can transit to most public transport. (2) There's at least 3 supermarket/discount store no more than 5 minutes walk. My personal favorite was Netto Discount Market. Also, there's doner place just next to it, that open until midnight (for €4.50, you get this jumbo Turkish Specialties that can be shared for two people). The place, (1) Note that the bathroom and shower was shared, but it got men and women separated, (2) Surprisingly clean, it cleaned daily, (3) the room relatively spacious, for two people, it's more than enough. It got two single beds, each with one pillow and blanket, a table for two person, a TV, one sink, one closet, and heater (I got lucky with the weather, I don't need a heater when I got here). (4) The water was good, no complain, (5) It got one kitchen where you can cook, microwave, and store something in the fridge. There's also a coffee, tea, and several condiments you can use. The owner, (1) Very friendly and accomodating. He give all information needed to explore Koln. Overall, this place feels like a house to me, you're not just belong to the single room like ordinary hotels.

👍👍 An incredible place with a great collection of cars to buy and admire. It is completely free to enter something that absolutely blew my mind considering it houses the Michael Schumacher Private collection museum.
