Very nice location and priceworthy if everything would have been ok. In fact the reopening show have postponed with an additional month in order to fix all issues. The panoramic bar serves Michelin worthy food as well. Better go check it out! Friendly young staff that know their world, making the guests feel welcome.

I recommend this Curio/Hilton property. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The shower is huge and in winter the rain shower head is perfect for a quick warm up. The hotel is about a 12€ taxi ride to the train station and I enjoyed being away from the noise of downtown. The breakfast is huge with both traditional Germany breakfast foods to American sized portions. The roof top bar is well worth the trip. The bartender is knowledgeable about the specials and stays ahead of the game and the orders. The front desk was incredibly pleasant and helpful. They accepted my Austrian/American accented German, and flipped to English when words would fail me.

Lovely hotel, nice rooms, perfect location. Two things that can be improved; 1. It is way too hot in the rooms, even with windows open it is still more than 20c. 2. Bar Botanik; it is fine that you open your only bar for local people, but now due to locals it is not possible to have a decent seat in the only bar in the hotel. Additionally I think it is unacceptable that the bar is closed on Sundays and only open starting from 5PM on other days.

Vertical high feelings at the Botanical bar. Great atmosphere, great music - not too loud. Alcoholic as well as non alcoholic beverages are served in pretty decor.

Hilton Curio Collection hotel in a lovely architecturally unique building - it can be like a rabbit warren sometimes but very cool to explore. Stayed in a Maisonette room which was lovely, friendly staff - good room service options, free minibar replenished daily. About a 20min walk (5min taxi) from the Hauptbahnhof

We arrived at the hotel on 06.12.2019, at check-in almost the entire amount of the booking, a € 500 deposit, was booked from our credit card. The accommodation is very outdated compared to the 4 stars, the breakfast was brutally expensive compared to the service. At checkout we had more than € 600 in our account, we wanted to use the deposit and pay only the balance, but the receptionist wouldn't allow it. It was not helpful, we had to pay the full amount of the reservation, with the hotel even having a € 500 deposit. We paid it all in cash, the receptionist told me that the money would be returned to my account that evening, but no later than 72 hours later. The 72 hours were up, we waited patiently but did not resolve it. I called the hotel over the phone, promised to take immediate action, but did not apologize. On the 5th day, the money was still not returned. I wrote them an email that they didn't answer for hours. Late night I received an answer to enter my credit card information! Credit card number and expiration date. Have you heard such a thing? I gave in, but they haven't responded since. Due to the hotel we cannot go home from Austria. Who will pay for our damage? If our money doesn't arrive by December 16, 2019, I'll report the fraud to the police! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

This is the hotel i like most in Cologne. The service is good, the room is like a home. I feel comfortable every time i stay here. This hotel is decorated as a ancient monument. It makes itself to be unique. I wish i would have a chance to stay in here with my family when we have vacation in Germany. Wish the hotel keep good impression and improve it. I highly recommend this hotel. Tam

Room wasn't anything to write home about but it was comfortable. The building is amazing and it's in an easy location to get to. Walkable from the Hbf. Views are best from the rooftop bar. Highly recommend.

I’m not one to write reviews often, but we have not long arrived at the hotel, and to say how impressed I am at the facilities and fantastic service we have received, is an understatement! As diamond members, my partner and I have stayed in numerous Hilton hotels, but we have never found one to be this welcoming, pleasant and attentive. Our room was upgraded to a two floor room and we were given welcome gifts and free access to a mini fridge. The staff have gone above and beyond to make our stay so far enjoyable and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel, and I am so looking forward to the rest of our stay here in Cologne! Vielen Dank!

My family had a wonderful stay here. We were upgraded as diamond members to a large suite. The breakfast is healthy and plentiful with a menu to order from (a nice touch was the kids sized table and cutlery)The gym was especially great with tailored courses on each machine. The staff is incredibley friendly as well. The only downside was lack of AC/air flow in the bedroom. It was incredibly hot to sleep in. Someone was sent asap to our room to check on it but not much could be done. But it was still a great stay and we've already booked another trip back!

First time here, and we really liked it. The junior suite was wonderful. People complain about the TV hanging in an unfortunate position, but we were not bothered about this. Very nice bedlinen, great views, free minibar. Only the music from the bar on Saturday night was a bit disturbing. Yet that bar is a must with wonderful views of the city. Excellent breakfast although it got a bit crowded on Sunday. Good fitness and sauna. The hotel is on the south side of the city, so it's a bit of a hike from the train station. Will definitely stay there again.

Quirky hotel, good location, great breakfast. Try the bar if you get chance as the drinks are very good and midweek there was a DJ and great atmosphere! Unfortunately faulty air con means I couldn’t award 5 stars this time but the staff were friendly and helpful.

What a treat staying at this unique hotel that used to be a water tower. The bar on the top floor has a great 360 degree view of the city. Gym with a sauna was a nice amenity too.

Very unique hotel in an old water tower. As a diamond member we were upgraded to a duplex suite which was great. The bar on the top has great views and tasty food. A top experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel while on vacation in Cologne. Modern, fun hotel design in an old water tower. Great location in Cologne where you can walk down to the city. Service was great and room was very clean/up-kept. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay if you’re in the area!

This is a unique hotel, its a circle, so the rooms aren't square and neither is the elevator. The service and athmosphere were great. A very nice hotel to stay.

Great hotel. The location is very suitable - train station less than 5 minute walk. Rooms very spacious and bed very comfortable. Unique style hotel in a water tower. Shower very nice and powerful with nice selection of body and hair wash. Provided free coffee/tea/water whenever needed.

Very nice and beautiful hotel! The staff was very nice anywhere you go! Great room but maybe not Well cleaned, dust on the floor and slip& t-shirt found in the wardrobe from the previous one. Room on the 10th floor noisy in the evening when the rooftop bar is open. You can hear the music and the chairs. The rooftop has an amazing view, super nice personal. Very good food, the desert was very small for 14 with 4 red fruits. The spritz was not the original one. The burger and fries delicious! Breakfast is big and very good. On Tuesday morning, we got the impression the pastry and bread was not Fresh (of the day before of re heat) At 9h15, already not salmon anymore and not so much Fresh food. But the rest was good and good variety! We ordered a benedict egg with ham but it was salami. Missing some real ham on the buffet. Good variety of drinks, cold and hot. We were disappointed by the “spa” not at all a real spa for us. Only a sauna, shower & ice. No music in background :( not so cosy. In the room the shower is bad for me. There only a button to turn it off and On. So you can not manage the power of it. And the floor is slippery! And no fan, so you finish your shower in a sauna !^^ The building is very nice :) Thanks for all!

Have been here for a conference. The hotel architecture is unique and bold. The ambience was good, however the conference is bit small compared to other big conference halls. The food was very tasty. Kudos to the team.

Beautiful view from the top Bar Botanic. Drinks are little pricey but tasted also good. Good for spa, high end events, parties and night stays. Nice decisions, clean and tidy place. Unique and antique stairs in the middle of the hotel. And friendly stuffs in reception. Definitely recommend this place. Try out their rooftop bar. 😏✌🏽

Great hotel in a converted water tower. We stayed for five nights whilst visiting Cologne and Bonn. Friendly staff and lovely hotel. Good gym and sauna. Ten minutes walk to city centre. Recommend and would stay again.

Nice hotel in good location, 5 minute walk from shopping streets. Good breakfast selection. Rooms are well equipped. Staff are friendly and attentive. Excellent views from bar on top floor.

The hotel has, because it was a water tower, a tube shape. Nice design! Rooms are comfortable. We had a skyline view on the 9th floor! Big TV, sadly no Netflix, or screencast possibly. Free and good wifi. Park place for your car at €29 a night- until the end next day. No possibly to charge your electric car. Breakfast was superb! Lounge-restaurant on te the top floor has some good food-drinks-views with very nice and friendly service!

Overall ok. Great concept. Pleasant staff. Inconsistent house keeping. In room refrigerator was not regularly stocked. No promised coffee maker in the room. Careful about booking in the summer. There is no air conditioning. We stayed over a week of record heat. 100+*F for 3 days. Not the time to book this hotel.

One of my favourite hotels in Cologne. The building is absolutely stunning and the interior design is incredible. They have kept the character of the old water tower extremely well. I stayed in a junior suite which was split over two floors. The bathroom was very nice as well. The hotel also has a roof top restaurant with great views over Cologne. The location is good and it is easy to get to most places in the city.

Interesting building but it would have been better to visit it and then move to a hotel with air-conditioning. Our third floor room was like an oven. Maybe it would be perfect in the winter, as the building seems to be very efficient at keeping the heat, but I recommend avoiding in the summer months. This may once have been a 5 star hotel but the rooms are now 30 years out of date. I don't need a loudspeaker in the bathroom, I need a shower that doesn't scald me and an ambient temperature lower than 35 degrees to sleep in. When I called reception, the guy was apologetic but could only offer me a small fan (to push the warm air around the room?) Very disappointing.

Incredible and unusual hotel set in an old water tower. It's like a labyrinth inside but it's an absolute delight and exploring it is a treat! The service is impeccable and the breakfast was top notch. Also it has one of the next hotel gyms for its size I've seen. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel! Would highly recommend! What a cool hotel--a former water tower, great views of the city, and a perfect location close to the river, city center, and the south of Cologne. Rooms on the 8th floor have access to a wrap-around balcony; it's not private, but being able to walk around the full circumference of the tower is definitely worth sharing access with the other rooms on the floor. The Comfort Double room has a great walk-in shower and refreshing, cool tile floors (this is a comfort for those trying to escape the city heat!). The hotel is also right by Agrippabad--perfect place for a swim. The hotel has its own sauna as well; it's small, but it was empty when we used it and free for hotel guests (note for international guests, it is textile-free, no swimsuits!). You can also request bathrobes. The staff is friendly and we were also told we could use the sauna after we had checked out. The only thing we thought a little strange was that the bed and bathroom were prepared for one person instead of two. We asked about that and were told the extras were in the closest. Overall, superb stay!

Great new hotel. Very beautiful building, amazing design. Part of on-site amenities (SPA, bar) are not available yet, but they sent us an email about it, so we knew what to expect. The view from the rooftop is breathtaking. Breakfast is good and has lots of healthy options. The rooms are modern, equipped with a coffee machine. The staff is very polite and friendly. Definitely worth staying when in Cologne.

Very nice hotel. It used to be a water tower. They kept the round walls, which make the rooms quite special. The breakfast is a bit more basic then I'm used to, but nice. I was charmed by this location!

The building itself and the interior are beautiful, and the concept is really cool. But the service is severely lacking. - Upon getting to my room, I was hoping to be able to make a coffee. The room comes with Nespresso pods... but no Nespresso machine. I had to get that from room service. - On Sunday night after returning from dinner, I asked the front desk what time the hotel bar closes. He said it was closed then, but it would be open every other night during my stay. Monday night I go to head up to the bar, and the elevator button doesn't work. Turns out the bar is actually closed for renovations... too bad, it looks great in the pictures. - On Monday, I left the "please clean room" sign on the door from 8:30am, and it was still there at 4:30pm when I returned to the room. No one cleaned, and we had to ask them to clean while we were away at dinner. (They refilled the coffee, but they didn't leave any spoons.) - On Tuesday, we didn't leave the sign up, but they still didn't clean the room. Oddly... they had come in the room while we were away, and they left their key card, but they didn't actually clean. - Also on Tuesday, after having been at the hotel for 48 hours, they locked me out of my room. After going to the front desk, they said that I had only paid for two nights. I proved otherwise, and they said that someone had actually forgotten to check me in, and that it registered me as a no-show. How is that even possible?

I am spending Easter holiday with my family in this Hotel.the customer services are perfectly good .They really care about guests . The receptionist (her name is Rebeca ) took time to print out all the places good for kids in the city . The other one her name is Mah she is trying a lot to fix the room tv for my son. They are treating you as family .The hotel is pricey but you can be sure you are spending money in a good place . The room is quite big and the design is so lovely. You can  find one of the best sky bars in this hotel on floor 11 . I hope my experience can help you to have a lovely time in cologne .

Comfortable hotel room (exceptional mattress, duvet, pillows). Interesting architecture which makes for a more unique experience. There are nice details in its set up, such as waiting lounges with coffee/tea/juice/smoothies. I particularly liked the interior design which is very elegant. It’s a very nice place but there needs to be a management decision on what kind of hotel this should be. It has all the qualities to be a very elegant place however the day we arrived there was a techno party at the rooftop which made Bar Botanik unusable and gave a very trashy ambiance to the hotel. A little more attention to detail is also required. Breakfast was very very good until I asked for pancakes, one of which was hard as a cookie (clearly defrosted and microwaved). Overall, worth a visit in Cologne and I think it has a lot of potential. Most of the negative comments are not fundamental issues but if resolved would take the hotel up a tier.

We were given an 'upgrade' to a room that was exactly the same price as the one we booked as a Hilton Diamond member (while there were plenty of rooms available). We canceled our booking and stayed at the Hilton Cologne where we received a great upgrade without asking.

Fantastic stay but over a week later still have not refunded our substantial deposit. Very disappointed after making two calls with promises to call back which never happened!

Unique experience. If you look for a out of the standard hotel experience close to the center. With friendly staff. Good food and nice rooms. I enjoyed the skybar for drinks and food. The breakfast was great and the room felt like a home away from home. They even made me a custom lunch😘What more can I wish for.

A M A Z I N G ! ! ! This place is perfect. We were a group of 50 people attending dung a one-day conference and everything was as it should be, and beyond. The friendly service at the entrance showed us the conference room which was spacious, laid out with pens, note pads and water, the technical equipment prepared and ready, and the front hall had small baked goods and jars with various kinds of candy beautifully displayed. The bathrooms are clean, large and stylish. Lunch was delicious and 75% vegetarian and very healthy. The building and interior was out of this world. The converted repurchased former watertower creates a unique interior design opportunity which has been fully taken advantage of. Small reading and relaxation nooks, both winter and summer gardens and spaces, and decor enhancing every curve and turn. Absolutely stunning.

Nice hotel. It's got the wow factor from outside and in walking through the door to see the architecture from inside, very cool. Service at check-in was friendly and efficient. I had a Maisonette style room where it's split into two sections with a bathroom + living area downstairs and bedroom upstairs, joined by a tight spiral staircase. The room was clean and tidy, the stairs could be a little tight and steep for some people though. Bathrooms are in need of an update as they look a little tired compared to a lot of modern hotel rooms. Overall good and the view from the rooftop terrace is pretty awesome, possibly unique for a hotel in Köln. Downside, sleeping area is very warm though which was an issue during my stay in July, it wasn't even as warm as it can be in Germany. The downstairs section benefits from a big window but the layout of the room doesn't allow any air to flow up to the bedroom. Even with two fans blowing it just remained hot. I didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that.

Very nice hotel. Got an upgrade to a nice room. Good amenities. Wish we would have stayed longer. Bar on the top. Floor with nice view. The bar isn't cosy enough.
