Unfortunately
I
can
not
confirm
the
positive
impression.
I
have
Dr.
Meider
consulted
because
I
had
recurring
irritation/slight
pain
in
the
tendon/capsular
area
of
my
right
knee
for
more
than
half
a
year
after
a
rock
jump.
The
mobility
of
the
affected
knee
was
neither
restricted
nor
did
it
swell
under
load.
I
had
previously
had
an
MRI
which
showed
a
double
partial
tear
of
the
medial
meniscus.
Dr.
Meider
did
some
mobility
exercises
and
then
diagnosed
that
the
pain
was
coming
from
the
medial
mesicus.
He
advised
an
operation
on
the
inner
mensicus,
since
the
symptoms
were
clear.
He
also
explained
that
my
other
knee
was
already
showing
a
similar
problem
and
would
probably
have
to
be
operated
on
at
some
point.
Although
this
irritated
me
and
I
needed
a
second
opinion
from
Dr.
Prof.
Höher
caught
up,
which
was
not
so
clear,
I
finally
decided
to
have
an
operation.
A
partial
resection
of
the
medial
meniscus
was
performed
as
part
of
the
operation.
During
the
several
weeks
of
physiotherapy
that
followed,
the
same
complaints
in
the
tendon
area
and
capsule
attachment
recurred.
Accordingly,
the
tear
in
the
inner
meniscus
was
not
the
cause
of
the
symptoms.
Afterwards
I
had
an
accumulator
and
a
chiropractic
treatment
and
described
the
symptoms
and
the
previous
operation.
According
to
their
experience,
tears
in
the
inner
menses
are
in
most
cases
not
the
cause
of
knee
problems,
but
rather
muscular
injuries,
which
unfortunately
are
very
lengthy,
since
the
affected
areas
have
poor
or
no
blood
circulation
and
therefore
only
heal
very
slowly.
In
retrospect,
I
got
the
impression
that
the
reason
for
the
recommended
operation
is
the
business
model
of
the
Sportsclinic
Cologne,
namely
the
performance
of
knee
operations
with
which
good
money
can
be
earned.
It
is
a
well-known
fact
that
many
operations
are
performed
in
Germany,
although
they
have
been
proven
to
be
of
no
benefit
to
the
patient.
In
my
opinion,
the
legislature
and
the
health
insurance
companies
should
examine
this
much
more
closely
and
introduce
at
least
partially
performance-related
remuneration.
Unfortunately,
I
have
to
disagree
with
the
medical
opinion
of
Dr.
Trusted
Meider
and
had
an
operation
performed.
I
can
therefore
only
urgently
advise
against
making
diagnoses
at
the
Sportsclinic
Cologne.

Leider
kann
ich
die
positiven
Eindruck
nicht
bestätigen.
Ich
habe
Herr
Dr.
Meider
konsultiert,
da
ich
nach
einem
Felssprung
über
ein
halbes
Jahr
wiederkehrende
Reizungen/leichte
Schmerzen
im
Sehnen-/Kaspelbereich
im
rechten
Knie
hatte.
Die
Beweglichkeit
des
betroffenen
Knie
war
weder
eingeschränkt,
noch
schwoll
es
unter
Belastung
an.
Ich
hatte
vorher
ein
MRT
machen
lassen,
auf
der
ein
doppelter
Teilriss
des
Innenmeniskus
zu
sehen
war.
Herr
Dr.
Meider
führte
einige
Beweglichkeitsübungen
und
stellte
danach
die
Diagnose,
dass
die
Bewerden
vom
Innenmesikus
kommen.
Er
riet
zu
einer
Operation
des
Innenmensikus
,
da
das
Beschwerdebild
eindeutig
sei.
Weiterhin
führte
er
aus,
dass
mein
anderes
Knie
bereits
eine
ähnliche
Problematik
zeige
und
voraussichtlich
auch
irgendwann
operiert
werden
müsste.
Obwohl
mich
dies
irritierte
und
ich
noch
eine
Zweitmeinung
von
Herrn
Dr.
Prof.
Höher
einholte,
die
nicht
so
eindeutig
ausfiel,
entschied
ich
mich
letztlich
zu
einer
Operation.
Im
Rahmen
der
OP
wurde
eine
Teilresektion
des
Innenmeniskus
durchgeführt.
Während
der
im
Anschluss
durchgeführten
mehrwöchigen
Physiotherapie
traten
dieselben
Beschwerden
im
Sehnenbereich
und
Kapselansatz
wieder
auf.
Demnach
war
der
Innenmeniskus-Riss
nicht
ursächlich
für
die
Symptomatik.
Im
Anschluss
habe
noch
eine
Akkunktur
und
eine
chiropraktische
Behandlung
vornehmen
lassen
und
das
Beschwerdebild
und
vorherige
Operation
geschildert.
Nach
deren
Erfahrungen
sind
in
den
allermeisten
Fällen
Innenmensikus-Risse
nicht
ursächlich
für
Kniebeschwerden,
sondern
muskuläre
Verletzungen,
die
leider
sehr
langwierig
sind,
da
die
betroffenen
Bereiche
schlecht
bzw.
garnicht
durchblutet
sind
und
somit
nur
sehr
langsam
heilen.
Im
Nachhinein
ist
bei
mir
der
Eindruck
entstanden,
dass
der
Grund
für
die
angeratene
Operation
das
Geschäftsmodell
der
Sportsclinic
Cologne
ist,
nähmlich
die
Durchführung
von
Knieoperationen
mit
denen
sich
gutes
Geld
verdienen
lasst.
In
Deutschland
werden
bekanntermaßen
viele
Operationen
durchgeführt,
obwohl
diese
nachweislich
keinen
Nutzen
für
den
Patienten
bringen.
Meines
Erachtens
müsste
hier
seitens
des
Gesetzgebers
und
der
Krankenkassen
viel
strenger
geprüft
werden
und
eine
zumindest
teilweise
erfolgabhängige
Vergütung
eingeführt
werden.
Leider
habe
ich
der
ärztlichen
Meinung
von
Dr.
Meider
vertraut
und
eine
Operation
durchführen
lassen.
Ich
kann
daher
nur
dringend
von
Diagnosestellungen
der
Sportsclinic
Cologne
abraten.
