I stayed at this hotel and found it to have a convenient location near the central station and the Kölner Dom. The hotel has a cool design theme. The room offered basic amenities such as a safe, a desk with a chair when needed, and a large smart TV. The bed was comfortable. Upon arrival, there was a noticeable stinky smell in the bathroom, likely related to the canalization, but thankfully, it disappeared during the stay. The hotel provide a few parking options within a 10-minute walk. The check-in and check-out processes were efficient, and we were able to get an earlier check-in. Overall, it's a decent choice for travelers seeking a convenient location and standard amenities, though the bathroom odor was a minor issue.

Really nice and quiet hotel in the Gare area of Cologne. 10' walk from old city center. Expect relatively small but very clean rooms. The hotel offers free coffee and water which is awesome. On the other hand there are no dinner options in the hotel, if you arrive late. Also the breakfast regime is great: you get a box full of tasty stuff that you can consume at your convenience! On the downside, the area around the hotel is a bit weird. Expect beggars and drunken people as you walk by. Nothing really scary, it just feels weird.

Really great hotel with a very modern look. The front desk staff were very nice and helpful with everything it's only a 5-10 min walk to the train station. Everything else is very close including the Dom. It has a great coffee bar and rooms are very clean. The mattress is a little more on the firm side to me though.

Book with caution. This place is so aesthetically pleasing. The room looked gorgeous, had all the room I needed, was clean, and did not have much noise from outside the hotel. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. The hotel's interior walls are paper thin and I could hear everything in the room next to me, including the bathroom! I could hear them coughing like they were in the room with me - creepy. The shower is also horrible - basically gets the whole room wet. Finally, the breakfast has no vegan options which was a bummer. Didn't end up having anything to eat before a long trip.

10/10 cleanliness, and my gratuity to the extremely helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are modern and trendy, and very clean. Staff are very helpful and friendly, 10/10. I'd definitely recommend a stay here, the location is great, and few hotels in cologne can match the quality of Urban loft for the same (relatively low) price.

I started this review with 5 stars however throughout my stay, it's dropped to a 2 star. This little hotel with a modern vibe is super cool located in the heart of Köln. The facilities including the rooftop are generally fantastic, but not exclusive for guests as they are rented out for private use with guests banned from parts of the hotel. Pascal the event manager was rather rude (sitting enjoying the sun and drinking, smoking a cigarette), at the same time telling guests to leave (it's booked for a private function). We are full paying guests and have no rooftop area to enjoy on our only sunny day in Köln. Coffee and tea machine shuts down at 11am so only water is available. Some extra hangers for hanging shirts to dry would be helpful as they only provide 3. Wassim, you make the perfect Cappuccino. You are polite and respectful and perfect for this hotel. Pascal can learn many things from you. ♥️🇩🇪🥂👌🏼☕️

Such a lovely hotel right in a convenient location, very close to the tram/subway station and the cathedral. Very close to the hotel is the meeting point for many walking tours, supermarkets right next door and good restaurants at walking distance. The hotel itself is kept very clean. The rooms are basic but very attractive and have a very good vibe to it. It's a cross between a hostel and a modern hotel. There is an open coffee space at the reception. And the best part about them is the customer service. Very attentive and accomodating. They allowed us to check in early and check out late. Though it's right next to the railway line, you don't hear a thing. I know most people would not like a hotel right next to the train station but this one is an exception. I totally recommend and will be back.

We travelled as a family along with my wife and four year old son. The hotel is centrally located, around 500 meters from Cologne Railway station. The room, washroom and the corridors were exceptionally clean. The staff was also cordial. They also provide free unlimited coffee / Tea and Drinking water. Very nice place, would recommend and stay again, specially for budget stays.

I've been here twice but feel like it's a home away from home. I need to travel to cologne for business often and this will definitely be my homebase. The friendly staff, great rooms, tasty and healthy food and good workspace all make for a great place to stay

We stayed for two nights at this hotel. One word: AMAZING!! The staff is friendly and well educated. The hotel is really nice with a modern and hip interior. The rooms are very clean and the shower was great. We had a good time at Köln and we recommend this hotel to everyone. Great vibe and great energie! Keep going 👍👍👍

Highly recommend staying here! Made my first visit to Cologne that much more enjoyable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lobby was an awesome place to just hang out before the start of the day and at the end of the night. This is because there is an endless supply of free coffee and water. There is also a bar and purchasable snacks. Plenty of places to sit. The location was great too. A short walk from the train station. Also very close to a square populated by pubs and restaurants, and not very far from a street full of kebab shops. Rooms were lovely. Comfortable bed, smart TV, high pressure walk-in shower which felt fantastic.

I liked the design of the hotel. It has its own spirit. Staff were friendly. Rooms were big and comfortable. It's not near the center but there is public transportation nearby. The price was acceptable.

Great hotel and great rooms! We had a ground floor room which looked right into the train tracks, and you could only hear them ever so slightly! Super impressed with the sound proof windows. The hotel was close to the main station and to the cathedral, super nice location. The hotel staff were nice, the rooms were clean and presentable and we loved the communal area in the lobby. Also loved the free water tap as well! Would have loved it if breakfast was cheaper but there are a lot of options nearby. Highly recommend!

This was an amazing find very near the central station, away from the touristy part of town, but on a pretty and busy local main street, with local supermarkets and grocery stores. This place has very quiet and clean rooms and showers (we got 2 rooms), and the buffet style breakfast had a lot of options. The staffs were extremely friendly and attentive, and the lounge area was very warm and cozy. We would definitely stay there again!

Didnt have high expectations but it exceeded our expectations. Room was sparkling clean! Sheets, towels and floor were all cleaned. Rooms smells good. Amazing staff. Very helpful and kind with any request. We arrived early and they stored our luggages for couple hours and let us check in earlier then normal. Walking distance to cathedral, markets and other cologne attractions. Clean room, clean towel and sheets, comfortable bed, great location and friendly stuff. Hope they never change for our second visit!

Lovely hotel in Cologne. Lovely staff, free coffee, great bedrooms and location. You shouldn't be disappointed if you stay here. Even my teen kids loved it. We didn't have breakfast as there were plenty of places nearby to get it at

I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying here during my first visit to Köln on business. The staff were absolutely wonderful, in particular Božo (front desk) and Viorica (housekeeping) who both showed me immense kindness, hospitality, and selflessness throughout the stay. These two alone made my visit, but the space itself was also wonderful. Free coffees in the morning, excellent location and nice amenities -- except no fridge in the rooms, as I had hoped showing up with some basic groceries. I hope to visit again!

  • 5/5 Laila L. 6 months ago on Google
Our room was at level 2 right next to the train tracks and we were pleasantly surprised at the lack of noise, whenever the train passes by it’s just a very very minimal low rumbling sound. Amazing sound proofing. Location is great for commuting to and fro main station , a short walk away to the cathedral and the shopping area. The hotel is in a hipster/quirky style which is great for young folks.

  • 5/5 Clarin H. 7 months ago on Google
Upgraded to the cathedral view room which was so worth it! About 7-10 mins walk to the cathedral and city centre. Very comfortable and quiet. Room was super cute too. Bonus for me was the smart TV with streaming integrated.

  • 5/5 Kjetil N. 7 months ago on Google
Perfect location for train travelers - just a short walk from the station. The hotel itself is stylish with a cool and fresh interior design. The staff was welcoming and service-minded - even came knocking on my door in the 3rd floor to deliver my phone that I forgot in the reception while checking in. (They could have phoned my room and asked me to come pick it up myself). The room was spacious and clean and facing the quiet backyard, so it felt like a quiet oasis in the big buzzing city. Within short walking distance from great pizza and kebab places, and super markets for stocking up for the next leg in your train journey. The bathroom was modern, clean and spacious as well. The deal with free coffee, tea and juice, and the optional breakfast box for 12 euro is very smart. We didn't try the box, but it looked like a good deal (and probably food for lunch for some people).

Location is great as it's close to the shopping area and the Cathedral. To get to places, you can choose to go for a little detour through the station or through the bridge. I was not comfortable walking through the dark bridge so I always take the other route. The staff are very friendly. There is free coffee until 11:30am and a free water refill station. The shower is a little annoying because there's no door to the shower so the water kind of flooded out to the sink and toilet area so I had to be very careful. The room was a bit small. Hard to fit the luggages for 2 people

  • 4/5 karteek c. 6 months ago on Google
Very clean, looks like newly built. Though the room is small, it's comfortable for 1 person. The shower area glass could have been longer, not to let water go out.

The hotel is awesome! The building, the rooms are more like contemporary. It’s modern, it’s clean, its quiet, it’s lovely! I can’t recommend enough. Close to shops, tourist spots and many more. Staff are amazing! Very helpful and nice. We will definitely comeback!

Wonderful hotel! Very modern, welcoming, and eco-friendly. Super clean rooms and very nice, accommodating customer service. The employees lent me us a charging block when we had lost ours. It’s a bit far from certain areas of Köln (20-25 minute walk) but it’s easy to get a taxi or Uber. Lots of snacks and drinks to purchase in the lobby as well as a lot of comfortable seating. Decent meal options. No complaints!

Affordable hotel in the center of Köln, walking distance to the Dom. If you come by car, make sure you get the address of the parking from their website. The parking was secure and spacious. When we entered the hotel I was again positively surprised: very hip and tasteful decorated. Welcoming staff that spoke perfect English. Rooms were equally tasteful decorated. Overal very happy!!

Amazing new or renovated place, but everything is clean and in perfect condition. Amazing service at the front desk. Kind of lifestyle hotel. Close to the shopping street, walking distance. Main train station only 5 min away. I really enjoyed the stay here.

  • 4/5 Reem Z. 5 months ago on Google
Their accessible room was amazing! Would definitely stay here again. The only let down was the breakfast because I was expecting the typical breakfast buffet but we ended up getting a breakfast box.. apart from that we really enjoyed our stay!

One night transit stay while in Köln. The staff where attentive and helpfull. The room was compat but functional. We’re happy with the breakfast. Enjoy the view from the rooftop. No issue at all.

Great location. Located just 5mins from the train station and 10 from the city centre. We stayed in a small room, but it was just enough for 2. Lovely interior. The lounge area is very cozy and trendy. The rooftop terrace has a nice view of the train station. Underground parking is spacious, but you will need to make a reservation. It felt safer to park there compared to the street. Staff was very friendly. Definitely recommended.

  • 4/5 Jasper S. 1 year ago on Google
Staff was nice, nothing bad to say there. Free coffee throughout the night is great. The single hotel rooms are a but too small and don't have a proper desk for a 16 inch laptop. I had no place but the bed to put my suitcase and I'd prefer a normal breakfast buffet to the lunch boxes that are offered, but that is personal preference ofc. Has a Gym. Website is horrible though. 0 helpful info about the place.

  • 5/5 Brandon L. 1 year ago on Google
comfy and relatively central place to get around. close to the central station and points of interest. we had a wonderful view of the cathedral and the metro. Even tho we were close to the train station, we barely heard anything. it was quiet and Air condition worked great! LOVED that there was a free water station. we filled up our bottles up for the day. it was nice not having to buy and carry all this water. Staff was helpful and friendly. Check in/out process is through the kiosks on the side, but we had some issues checking-in and the staff was helpful Would def stay here again if i come back to cologne, Especially for that water station!

  • 4/5 Ian W. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice hotel. Immaculately clean. Modern and trendy. Free hot drinks most of the day and breakfast available. Was a little noisy from inside the hotel but well insulated from the nearby trains. Amazing location very close to central train station. A few restaurants and bars on same street.

Making reservations was easy. The room was cool and comfortable. The bathroom had an amazing shower. Location was convenient to train station and the Dom. Water service in lobby was lovely to have during a heat wave. Highly recommend.

This new hotel was a joy to stay in. Its central location - just 300m flat walk from the main rail station passing a tram stop and only 700m to the cathedral - was ideal for us tourists. The enthusiastic staff were available from early until late, always doing their best to help. Decent coffee and other hot and cold drinks are free and available until 2230hrs alongside the well-stocked bar. The hotel is well decorated in a consistent style, with attractive modern artworks everywhere (including in each bedroom and bathroom!). The mrooms are a good size with good beds, several different pillows and all the facilities that we wanted. Our room had a Cathedral view, but this was over one of the busier rail routes in Europe. However, when closed, the double-glazed, double windows meant we could hear nothing in the room and the quiet air conditioning unit kept the room fresh. The breakfast hampers were packed with fresh and tasty food, enough for breakfast and lunch for us. The vegan breakfast hamper was also as well stocked. The staff, decor and amenities gave a very clear impression of a vibrant chic hotel that was a joy to stay in.

Good location, 5-10mins walk from centre and also a local restaurant area. Nicely decorated. Lots of seating area downstairs. Complimentary coffees are a nice touch. Room was fairly small but it suited us for a few days. Very clean and quiet at night.

  • 4/5 Peter R. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly staff and a convenient location very close to the station and to visit areas around the magnificent cathedral. Also within easy walking distance of the main shopping area. However, the breakfast comes in a box and doesn’t vary much from day to day. Some of the carpets in the corridors weren’t cleaned for the four days we stayed there but otherwise, the level of cleanliness was very good. If you like sleeping with open windows, be aware the noise from the trains can be quite loud if your room is on the side overlooking the rail tracks.

  • 5/5 K E. 1 year ago on Google
We really had a great experience at this hotel establishment. It is centrally located that has easy access to the trains, cathedral, shops, food, literally everything you want & need from a hotel. The rooms were comfortable, which is a huge plus as anything less ruins your holiday. We cannot rave enough about the kitchen and food though - seriously some of THE best we have ever gotten from a restaurant, let alone a hotel kitchen. Kudos to the chef!! We ate here every night since it was so good...all except the day the kitchen was closed and we didn't know.

  • 5/5 Salah A. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice place to stay, well located and at walking distance from the main station! Being a light sleeper the windows/walls are sound proof even if the hotel is by the train tracks, I didnt have any issue sleeping. Khalil from the reception was really nice, great welcome and available whenever we needed support.

  • 5/5 Natalie R. 1 year ago on Google
If you’re looking for an affordable option in Cologne, this hotel is perfect. Rooms are clean and modern, staff are friendly and helpful, the location is very convenient to the train station and the cathedral. There is a decent gym.

We requested a quiet room when we booked directly through the website and can confirm it was noise free (faced the courtyard). Unfortunately, our AC was not working upon arrival. On the first trip to the front desk they suggested to turn the controller off/on but otherwise had nothing else to offer. After trying that and only having the room continue to increase in temperature, we returned to the front desk. This time they offered us a key to the room next door to see if that one had working AC instead (luckily it did). As others mentioned, the shower water goes absolutely everywhere due to the great water pressure. We appreciated the availability of coffee (11:30PM-11:30AM) as well as the bag hold. We opted not to get breakfast here and instead visited the nearby bakeries which were great.

If any of my friends going to Cologne, I will highly recommend them to stay in this hotel! They have a very nice chilling loft on the ground floor plus a great view roof top terrace! Not to mention their rooms are clean tidy and instagramable! (Especially the one with cathedral view! Although their hotel just right beside the rail but it is super quiet! Their great service is a plus to the stay... Sum up, five star for rooms service location and everything!

The hotel exceeded my expectations! Booked it directly through the hotel’s website and requested for a higher floor and quiet side of the building - checked. Check-in was easy, and the staff their was very nice and friendly. My room was also neat, clean, spacious, equipped with lovely scented shampoo & shower gels, and large smart tv that you can connect your phone with to play music or find something to watch on your subscribed streaming services. The lobby was spacious and I could relax there after checking out undisturbed. Oh and the rooftop was also very lovely. All in all, 5/5!

  • 3/5 Marsha S. 10 months ago on Google
Cute little hotel. Staff was nice. This hotel advertises air conditioning but guest has NO control over the temperature, and there is no fan in room. The window opens a tiny bit, but the train train tracks our room faces are quite noisy. Flush button on toilet is broken. Chair in room very stained. Biggest problem, however, was there no door on shower and no matter how hard we tried, we could not keep the water in the shower. I kept the water turned off for most of my shower. Still, bathroom was flooded, and toilet, sink, and door were dripping. This also made the room warmer. I hurried my shower to keep from making it wetter, so I did not get my hair washed. Please put a door on the shower!!!

What a beautiful hotel! It's very centrally located, welcoming and airy, and the room we stayed in was a perfect home away from home for the 4 nights we spent in Cologne. Last but not least, the staff is super nice and helpful. I am sure we will be back again. Thank you

We loved our stay at Urban Loft in Cologne. The hotel lobby has a fresh and modern interior. Room was spacious and clean. The hotel is close to the railway track but is very wel isolated. You don’t hear anything from the outside. Breakfast is served in a breakfast box with options between; normal, sweet, vegetarian and vegan.

Uhm.... Yes please. This lovely gem at first I was a bit nervous about for the price. But soon came to feel that I had stumbled upon something special. Its great location near everything makes this a great jump spot to start your adventure. The staff are on point! Friendly and engaging even when dealing with the most problematic of guests always showed true professionalism. The mixture of guests is a interesting mix of flavor. I think its the kind of place that has a vibe. Fun and sophisticated its got a great lobby or interesting furniture and view onto the street. The rooms are nice but not exceptional. I would put this near the top of the choices when booking. I actually extended my stay because I liked it so much.

The urban loft hotel was awesome. The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfy. There was free water and coffee in the lobby!! The staff was super friendly and helpful. And as a bonus we really wanted to see the champions league final. We asked if they would put out on the tv in the lounge. They did and they hung out with us to watch the game!! We had a great time and it felt just like staying with family. When was the last time you could say that about a hotel?!?!?! I will stay here again.

Small rooms, location in quite dirty & strange people around area (next to main station). In general clean, but eg drain under shower was stopped. Not really possible to sleep with open window as next to it very strongly you can hear trains going to main station (also durring whole night) or if not that, there is tarase outsites where vistors. Unfortunately asked 4 times in hotel but till today I did not recieved invoice for rainbursement - even at the reception it was said that will be send via Email. You order for breakfast glutenfree you recieve in the box croissant & employee tell you no worries it is vegan....so in general nice designes hotel but quality of service very very low

  • 5/5 Presley I. 8 months ago on Google
Stayed here about a week. The location was perfect for me. My room was facing the train tracks (& the cathedral too if I remember correctly) but I had no issues with noise whatsoever. I am super picky about noise so I was really shocked I couldn't hear anything! The internet speeds were also great & I was able to remote into my job in America with no issues or lag. Ping: 15ms Download: 121.10 Mbps Upload: 268.69 Mbps The bed was super nice & comfy & was a real queen or king bed, not the twins pushed up together. Room and building were very clean. The showers will absolutely make a mess of the whole bathroom though so be careful about that. If I'm ever in Cologne again I'd definitely stay here!
