I was forced to stay in this hotel for one night due to cancelled flight. At the end, overall it was a decent experience. Firstly, I must say bravo for the service on the check-in counter. They were crammed with 40-50 unplanned customers at the same time and had only 30 rooms available and they managed to stay rather calm. There was a party at the lobby while we were checking in, but it was ended by the 10 or 11 PM so it didn't bother me at all. The rooms were nice and clean and equipped with just what you need to stay for a night or two; comfy bed, big TV and modern bathroom. There's no wardrobe but I find that smart. Maybe some kind of safe for the valuables would be nice. Shower is without doors so yes, if you blast shower stream and the water pressure is really nice, you'll drain everything. Breakfast was OK but there's space for improvements (e.g. scrambled eggs).

Arrived her at 3 am as a result of a delayed flight. Was looking for a place to spend the night so that I could get on with onwards travel in the morning. There were ~ 10 different parties in the check in line ahead of me. Took the reception AN HOUR to process. One person was leisurely checking people in, while the other person did miscellaneous tasks at the empty bar. Both behaved as if it was 1 pm in the afternoon and there was absolutely no sense of urgency or acknowledgment that it’s the middle of the night and people just want to check in and go to sleep.

Great hotel extremely near to the airport. The staff was really kind to us, the breakfast was great and the hotel is clean. The room was of the right size for a two night stay to visit Köln. The railway station near the hotel is a very big advantage. The only problem was that the TV, once, turned on automatically at 6 AM and scared us. I really recommend this place for a short stay in Köln/Bonn

This is a good place to stay if you need to use the airport - it's within walking distance. The hotel itself is good and the staff are efficient. I like that there is a breakfast buffet for everyone and the gym looks good. I think the downside is the rooms - they are lacking some of the basics of a hotel room - no safe, no kettle or tea/coffee. It's fine for one night, I wouldn't recommend staying longer

I stayed here for 2 nights. There’s a sensor in the room that controls the light. Unfortunately, the sensor was broken so when I was in the bathroom or away from the bed for more than 1min, the light went off. I couldn’t really take a shower or relax due to the light issue. The reception told me all the rooms were booked so I couldn’t change the room immediately. I need to wait until the next day… Very bad experience…

Modern, airport themed hotel in walking distance from the terminal. The rooms are nice and quiet although you see the runways from the hotel. The hotel does not offer any parking, so you will have to use the airport garage and find your way back to the hotel. Unfortunately the breakfast was not good during my stay. Scrambled egg was cold, the juice dispenser did not work and there was not enough bread among. They need to work on their processes or train their team better.

Just next to the airport. Location is unbeatable. We had to take an early flight. The service is top. Receptionts and bartenders are so nice. The best option for Cologne airport, very well connected by train to the Center

Location is highly convenient, walking distance to parking and terminal. Small parking in front for loading bags out of the car into the hotel. Prices of snacks and drinks a bit expensive, but service and room are very ok.

It is a modern and new airport hotel. Just 5 minutes by foot to the terminal. Rooms are as expected modern and good. Staff is friendly. Prices are average. It is difficult to get there by taxi or car, because there are a lot of different roads to the airport and no indication which takes you to the hotel. Parking is very expensive as it is the airport parking.

Stayed here at very short notice due to our flights being diverted to Cologne. Had to request an early check-in which coated €100 extra (a bit too expensive for the early check-in if I'm honest) but we were desperate as we had a young child with us. Aside from that, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the service was good. We enjoyed our brief stay and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here on a planned visit if we go back to Cologne again.

Happy With everything. When I stayed, it was so lovely and simple from the airport. The staff and people were friendly. The gym was on point. Spacious and had the requirements I needed. I strongly recommend it.

I especially remember the quality of shower water, it was really good like in Korea. (we’re Korean but it was almost the first time to use water like that in Europe.) Also staffs was really kind and great location. We’re definitely going to stay again.

Uncomfortable hard bed, room is extremely basic and small bathroom. No iron, water, phone, minibar in the room. Indications from airport t2 is not clear, we ended up taking a taxi. Breakfast (simple but good) was only till 9am due to electricity works. At check in, agent was not particularly friendly and process was slow despite being Marriott gold member. Given a twin room without proposing a double bed, impossible to put the two beds together. In general, quite a disappointing stay, given I paid 327 euros for one night !! Looks like a more fancy hostel instead of a hotel.

Very nice and very clean hotel!!! The service is very fast and willing to help you,the view at the top (across 5he airport) is amazing! Also the location is very convenient and the prices are OK in my opinion!

Very nice new hotel. Parking is an issue though. You will pay high airport rates. Other than that I love Moxy hotels.

They've got great attention to details, like a lamp under the bed that automatically switches on when you go out. Beds are big and nice. We had missed our flight, so that was our reason of stay. Had a good pep talk form the friendly lady at the bar that we had already missed the plane and we best not worry too much about it and drink our free cocktail, so that's what we did! Another funny story from the bartender: they cannot have music on the roof anymore because of the neighbors. Funny detail: in between the rooftop and the neighbors is an airport!! Whaha.

This is the first (and hopefully the last) hotel with disgusting noise insulation. It's not there. I stayed in this hotel (26.07-29.07) for three nights. And three nights I could not sleep, because all night (without exaggeration) I listened to neighbors from the sides and above running, loudly walking on the floor and moving furniture. And every time I jumped up when the doors closed loudly in the neighboring rooms (doors are hard to open and hold, so people let them go and the door slams hard). Air conditioning. It is there. But it doesn't work. And I also hope this is the last hotel I'll ever stay in where there is no kettle or mugs in the rooms. And that's me not mentioning the refrigerator. But they can sell you tea (boiling water and a regular tea bag) for 3.5 euros. But the staff is friendly. They will take payment for the room, they will sell you tea for 3.5 euros. But they will not tell you how to use the card in the elevator to make it start moving. If you go to Cologne for a walk and decide to stay in this hotel, because the price for the room is not big, it is better to choose a hotel in Cologne itself, even if the room will cost more. But you will have a kettle, mugs and a refrigerator. And there will be noise insulation. Many places you can visit on foot and you will not have to spend money every day for a ticket to the city and back to the hotel. The only option to stay at this hotel is if your flight is postponed. But staying at this hotel for a vacation is not a good idea.

Really great hotel, with fantastic service. Staying at an airport hotel is never fun, for us we were just eager to get home. However, Thomas made our stay a really fun one! He was super friendly and made sure we had anything we wanted all evening, making us an array of interesting a delicious cocktails! He really made the stay so great for us.

New airport hotel with hip decor in the middle of the airport. Staff is friendly, done things to note; check AC functions in room prior to getting comfortable, ours did not but we had ahead out to much to try and change rooms. Top floor has check-in and lounge as well as outdoor seating. Most people are coming here because they had a cancelled flight.

If I’m ever in Köln again, I would absolutely stay here again. It’s convenient to get to and from the airport. There’s a train station that takes you directly to the city center as well The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious. They also have amazing staff. The bartender Thomas was incredibly attentive, and friendly. He also knows his craft well! I highly recommend staying here for any traveler.

Easily walkable from the airport. Do not, never, by any means, arrive there by car. Airport Car Park is 39 Euro per day. Other than that, it is a very nice Hotel and with the airport and trains nearby it's well connected. you have supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies and Bars very close (Airport)

Stayed here at the end of my last business trip as I had an early flight for my next destination. Rooms are good, small but everything you need, especially as a solo traveller (no real storage for your items but for one night that's fine). Dinner was a massive disappointment, the food was fine but the service was bad. I was first offered a table right where guests wait when they walk in, so asked for one of the many other free tables. Maybe I was being "punished" because of that, but it then took 35 minutes for my order to be taken (I had to flag the waitress down at the end or I'd still be waiting). Other guests sat down at the table next to mine after I'd placed my food and drink order. Their order was taken in minutes and they also got their drinks before I did (mine arrived after my starter did). I didn't try the breakfast buffet as I had to leave the hotel by 5am. Would I be back? Probably, but I wouldn't eat there.

    1. very poor breakfast for 4* 2. low standard of hygiene - hairs all over bathroom, stinky shower and toilet corner 3. only one hanger in the room? is it really that expensive to provide more? 4. reception team has no clue about customer service or not paid well enough, that there is no interest in their job 5. medication I asked to keep refrigerated was taken out of the fridge for few hours (package had a temperature sensor with history log in it). If you really want to mess up with someone's health by potentially spoiling medication - you are on a right way! Only location is good, that I have to admit. Beds are hard, for someone will be a problem.

Nice and convenient hotel for overnight before an early flight. There is a nice view from the restaurant and lounge at the 5th floor. They offered me a coupon for the free signature cocktail of the house. The cocktail was really tasty. What was supposed to be just an overnight turned into a beautiful experience. Recommendations

Stayed for an early flight. Not too busy. Typical airport hotel but very convenient for walking to/from the station and the terminals. Rack rates are pricey.

The hotel was beautiful. The staff good. It was only a pity that the fire alarm went off at night and we did not receive an explanation about this. No compensation for the shock and disturbed night either.

One of the best quality service I received as a bar, we received many alcohol test, but this was due to the well known person. I would really suggest this bar in the future also the drinks given to us where really good. @Yasemin is the one who served us really nice of her❤😊

I really enjoyed my stay there. The only reason why i am giving 4 and not 5 stars was that, at one day where the Restaurant was closed the bar had only 3 items as well from its menu.

Stayed here on 9 May 2022 for 1 night & it was perfect. So quiet considering it’s at the airport, welcome cocktail on the terrace was lovely. So nice having a space to go outside when the weather was nice. Room was super clean and shower was amazing, very powerful. Overall the hotel had a lovely laidback & friendly feel. Would highly recommend

A cute airport themed hotel located across from the airport. It was so nice to walk just 5 minutes to our destination after a long flight. Check in is on the top floor where there is also a restaurant, a bar and a very nice roof top terrace. The staff are very friendly and we really enjoyed the free drink at the check in. The room is small but very clean and comfortable. The shower is amazing. It was a perfect stop to refresh for our next flight the following day. There is no coffee in the room but coffee is free (self help) in the breakfast area.

Good Stay for a layover or for a longer transfer at the airport. The only thing missing was a mini fridge and a kettle in the room itself. On the other hand, they do provide everything else on the reception/lounge/business-center floor from plates to cuttlery and a microwave in case you wanna accommodate your own quick bite. Staff is friendly and the roof top terrace is a good chill out area.

Its my favourite hotel in the airport, very close to the terminal and convenient. Its a Moxy, if you’ve ever been in one, you know what to expect in terms of rooms - basic but sufficient. This one serves a nice breakfast, the lobby area is pretty good as well (not too loud) and the restaurant is better then most Moxy’s I’ve been at. The Gym is also above average. There are better hotels in town, but if you choose to stay at the airport, that’s the best choice.

Modern hotel with an aviation theme for obvious reasons, the rooms were comfortable but rubbish air con, reception told us it was working but the lowest setting was 19 and the room felt stuffy and very warm. Complimentary water in the room and/or ice machines would have been nice. Breakfast was pretty poor even for continental standards, scrambled eggs and beans being the only warm options. We stayed here twice during our holiday, first time we were given tokens to have a free drink at the bar, second time nothing was offered. Saying that the free drink was bottled water, a tiny beer or a glass of pink slightly flavoured water so you aren't missing much. The restaurant is way too fancy for an airport hotel offering, with 2 teenage lads there was nothing on offer to tempt them so we had to eat in Cologne. The bar/reception/restaurant area on the top floor is very nicely done although someone needs to remove the guitars as young kids sit strumming them incessantly! It's walkable to T1 and T2 and to the rental garage, there's no parking at the hotel itself but you can pull up to unload/load luggage. You can catch the subway into Cologne from the airport if needed, takes about 20 minutes.

Great hospitality with all staff really positive. Used the hotels facilities to work in the lounge - had lunch there - very impressed with the chicken salad and the coffee was good. Easy wifi and good place if you need to do some work before jumping on your flight.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Rooms were quite and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Just a walk away from terminal 1. Would definitely be staying here again.

We spontaneously checked in at Moxy Cologne Bonn Airport to spend a night after a flight from Rome. We were welcomed very warmly & felt welcome instantly. The lady checking us in & serving the welcome drink was super nice & talkative in a good way. :) The room was beautiful with a large TV screen, beautiful bathroom and very comfy beds. Additionally, the hotel has a big terrace for having your morning cigarette with a Red Bull served on ice while watching the airplanes take-off. It almost felt more like an attraction rather than a "one night's home". Great value! Thank you! 💎✨💯

not vegan friendly breakfast and i do not trust the restaurant with this matter due to the poor quality of the breakfast. there is one bread spread and cucumber with tomatoes to choose from. warm offer are bland beans and scrambled eggs (for he non vegans). they had vegan milk when i stayed here the first time but not this time, as if they're not carrying enough. the rooms are awesome, the staff is alltime friendly and very supportive. the mr mox feature was a new experience for me and served its purpose (you can call a small "robot" which automatically comes to your door where you can take snacks and beverages; like a mobile minibar) there is no drinkin water in your room which is another downer for this hotel because for this price at least water should be a standard. the location is best when you need to catch an early flight since you can literally walk to your gate. the view is the gates and the rooms seem to be soundproof because i've never heard anyone outside my room.

  • 2/5 Nicolás M. 1 year ago on Google
+ beautiful, modern rooms + excellent WLAN + nice staff + good online communication ~ location close to Gate A ~ non - smoking in the entire hotel ~ locked windows - food at the bar is bad & expensive (we had 2 pizzas for 24€ and I swear they were the frozen "Diavolo" from Dr. Oetker that you get in the supermarket for 2,29€) - the breakfast is a complete disaster, nothing fresh, no variety, nothing warm but bad scrambled eggs. The price for it is an audacity. This is not 4* standard, it's not even Motel 1 standard. We stayed at the Moxy in order to catch a long flight early and were relying on a good breakfast in order to sustain the long flight. We went on the plane hungry. Very disappointing stay overall. Rooms & staff are really nice though.

Nice hotel but guest behavior is questionable. We bought 2 coffees from the lobby, they asked for payment right away. We asked if it would be okay if we pay when our wallet is in the room when we check out tomorrow. No, we were told we want payment now. Coffee was cold. No drinks in the room, no mini bar. We checked in, went to our room ourselves, no one helped. and i paid 166€ per night.

This is a very funky hotel. The rooms are super cool and very comfy. Considering how close it is to the airport it is still easy to have a good night's sleep. Also it has a robot that goes around and delivers snacks!

This place needs to decide if it is an airport hotel or a nightclub! I stayed here for one night on Saturday 9th December looking to get to sleep early ahead of a 4am start and morning flight the next day. Unfortunately they were hosting what presumably was a Christmas party and played loud, bass heavy music late into the night that kept me wide awake even though I was three floors below it! Then I could hear frequent noise from nearby rooms and corridors. Given that this hotel is literally located on airport land and so a huge proportion of their customers must be people taking early flights the next day, I found the complete absence of concern for these customers paying over €100+ per day very bizarre and unacceptable. Aside from the noise, the staff on checking in were friendly, the rooms are very basic (you'll find no coffee, tea or drinks facilities) but they are fine for a night and the location is perfect for the airport or station as you can walk to both in minutes. However when booking an airport hotel my primary concern is getting rest before a long travel day ahead and on this basis the Moxy completely failed. Other reviewers who stayed in December seem to have had similar problems. If you get a non-party night you'll probably be fine. Unfortunately I would have got more sleep in the actual airport. I won't risk returning here and can't recommend it.

I just stayed in this hotel for two nights. The rooms are decent but the food is terrible - I got sick during the first night when I had dinner. The 2nd night there was a Christmas party going on with extremely loud music that was planned until 1am. It was impossible to sleep as the noise could be heard throughout the hotel on different floors. After trying to get a hold of the reception by phone (unsuccessful) I got upstairs to complain about the noise. After hearing it was until 1am the very kind front desk agents offered me another room. It was slightly better but still not possible to sleep, so we went to the responsible person (Captain) to request for a solution (either stopping the music or getting a refund for the room). There was another guest complaining as well who had to take a 4am flight and could not sleep and after all this is a hotel, not a night club. He was extremely rude and said "this is a Christmas party in a public space" so basically get over yourself. This is one of the rudest and not client friendly responses I have ever had and I travel a lot for work. I do not recommend this hotel and would never come back again. They clearly want to be a party house instead of a professionally run hotel. To the front desk agents: there are so many hotels looking for staff. You are too good to be working for such a terrible hotel. Thank you for doing your best with what was available in your power. To the captain's manager - as an HR Professional I would advice you to investigate this person's performance if you want your hotel to be successful. The receptionist in the morning was kind enough to offer a 50% discount on my stay.
