This
was
my
first
time
staying
in
a
hostel,
so
I
didnt
know
what
to
expect.
Pros:
It's
definitely
not
a
5
star
place,
but
I
still
liked
the
homey
feel:
customers
all
sit
around
the
tables
at
meals
&
in
the
evenings
and
visit.
There
is
a
small
tv
in
the
kitchen
area.
They
provide
lots
of
free
floating
devices,
flippers,
masks
&
snorkels
to
borrow.
Plus
they
have
surfboards
for
rent.
There
is
a
fully
stocked
communal
kitchen:
3
fridges
to
store
your
food
(they
were
all
fairly
stuffed),
pots/pans,
silverware,
plates,
microwave,
stove/oven,
blender,
coffee
maker,
toaster,
grill,
etc.
Kitchen
is
outside
in
a
covered
area
with
tables
&
chairs,
&
hammocks.
The
hostel
is
in
a
great
location,
with
tons
of
nearby
food
places,
shops,
rentals,
and
especially
the
beach
(5-7
minute
walk
away).
They
provide
an
endless
supply
of
towels,
which
they
wash
&
fold
on-site.
They
can
also
do
a
load
of
your
laundry
for
you
for
$6:
convenient.
Nice
office
staff,
always
very
helpful.
Facility
has
a
locked
gate.
Cons:
the
rooms
need
upkeep
&
maintenance
done:
paint,
holes
repaired,
sinks
dripping,
broken
outlets,
no
remote
for
the
ceiling
fan,
etc,
but
it
wasnt
anything
that
affected
my
stay
a
whole
lot.
Rooms
are
stuffy
even
with
fans
(no
A/C).
Dorm
rooms
are
small
and
very
bare:
no
closets,
no
dressers,
&
very
small
lockers;
the
semi
private
room
has
nothing
in
it,
just
a
chair.
You
must
be
ok
bunking
in
the
same
dorm
room
as
the
opposite
sex.
There
were
originally
4
men
in
the
dorm
(that
changed
frequently),
while
I
had
the
private
room.
I
had
to
walk
through
the
dorm
every
time
to
get
to
my
room.
All
5
of
us
shared
a
small
bathroom,
one
toilet.They
do
not
have
irons
or
blow
dryers,
or
even
blankets.
No
elevator
despite
4
stories,
and
there
arent
any
rooms
on
the
ground
floor.
Still,
I
wasn't
in
my
room
much;
just
needed
a
place
to
sleep,
so
the
price
was
right.
Customers
were
all
very
friendly
and
we
were
all
happy
to
be
there.
I
stayed
8
nights
for
$757,
which
I
booked
4-5
months
in
advance.
