Be careful, the trail up is treacherous as are the climbing sections. I wouldn't attempt if you aren't an experienced hiker/climber. Also be careful when trusting your life to a rope tied to a rusty old piece of rebar. If you have the skills (and it's dry) then go check it out, this is a simply incredible place to watch sunrise over Kailua!

The view from Chimney was amazing. As the sun rises it casts rays of light between Olomana and the Ko'olau Summit Trail on to Bowman, and lighting up the Kalihi Saddle. Absolutely breath taking.

Best hike I've done. Hard but all worth it. Took us about an hour round trip. Good hiking shoes and better if not raining❤

Best hike of my life. Very difficult, but equally rewarding. Don't go when cloudy, you will bit see much due to fog.

Honestly up to chimney past notchs are bearable for people who arent scared of hikes and strong wind but past chimney is probably not for everyone.

Amazing views but dangerous. You do not want to be going up after it’s rained. It’s very muddy, wear spikes and a rain jacket. A short hike but straight up!

Best heart adrenaline hike on the island yet. Constant views all the way to the chimney.

This hike is super rugged and a little dangerous. The views are absolutely insane as a good chunk of the hike is on a ridge (I am not a geologist). If you are a super adventurous hiker I would highly recommend this hike. I believe there is also some rock climbing on this trail. I would recommend doing some research if you are interested in that.

Loved the hike. Don’t go with bad weather not even a sprinkle. Gets pretty dangerous for inexperienced hikers

Very steep and not easy to climb. We reached the top pretty much, but we didn’t go to the next peel as we had to hold ourselves by rope! The wind was over 20 so we decided to go back. But the view definition worst it! Btw, no other hikers, we were the only once.
