We
headed
out
on
an
early
Saturday
morning,
expecting
more
people
but
the
trail
was
quiet
which
was
nice.
It
had
been
raining
the
night
before
so
the
ground
was
really
muddy!
Red
Hawaiian
mud
that
stains
everything
so
beware.
Do
not
wear
good
footwear
bring
old
clothing
etc.
The
trail
was
not
too
hard,
easy
enough
if
you
are
fit
just
slippery
if
it
had
been
raining
previously
so
beware.
What
we
met
at
the
top
of
the
pill
box
was
just
breathtaking!
Totally
worth
the
hike
and
we
sat
there
for
an
hour
taking
it
in!
Great
views
over
Kahaluu
and
Mokapu.
I
suggest
if
you
go
early
in
morning
you
can
catch
the
military
testing
flights
land
and
take
off
from
the
base
in
the
Marine
Corps
Air
station.
Wonderful
experience!
