Really great trail! It’s got amazing views of the mountains and good place for bird watching as well. I’ve even seen some turtles in the water. It is VERY sunny so bring water and sunscreen.

This is a great easy hike for dogs and people alike. Beat to arrive early after 7am when the park opens to ensure you can get a parking spot.

Walking at this place is a healing experience. I love when it is quiet. The less noise in this environment, the more wildlife you will encounter. When it is crowded and noisy from people talking, I hardly see any nature unless I take a break from walking to wait for the noise to pass. A wonderful walking place to use mindfulness and grounding.

Beautiful, relaxing, and quiet. There’s a lovely little walking path that takes you through this peaceful marshland landscape with panoramic views of the Ko’olau mountains. This is a preservation area for endangered birds, but there are a number of other birds that populate the path — including some very large ducks! It’s very sunny though, with no shelter or shade, so bring sunscreen and a hat.

Easy hike. Nice scenery and a place to see some local birds such as Hawaiian coot and Common Gallinule.

We enjoy walking and running here in the mornings and evenings, it’s pretty out in the open so midday can get hot.

A wonderful walk through the marshes where migratory birds land. The surroundings are beautiful and mountainous making it scenic. A simple walk here is very peaceful and quiet.

(Translated by Google) This hiking trail is easy, simple and accessible to all. Perfect for a relaxing stroll, with beautiful views of the surrounding lush vegetation. This allows you to get some fresh air, just a few steps from Kailua, but on the other hand does not offer immersion since the path roughly follows the city. I still recommend going there for those who have the time.

The trail was very muddy. ( this was end of November 2018). Bring extra shoes and badges to put your muddy shoes in after.
