Beautiful snorkel, make sure to bring your mask and boots(no need for fins). It is very shallow for some places, so I would say it is perfect for kids as well. But there are some sharp rocks, parking is limited, arrive early as possible, unless it is not crowded. Overall good place to hang out :)

Beautiful and peaceful place to snorkel for the entire family. No there are no sharks even tho that's the name. Bring water shoes because the rocks on the way down and around the cove are extremely razor sharp and will cut your feet if you're not wearing water shoes. Bring water and food if you'd like. There are a few food trucks and a supermarket across the street. Parking and entrance is free of charge. Don't leave any valuables in your vehicles to be broken into.

Such an amazing location on the North Shore of Oahu. Summer time is great for swimming and snorkeling. Wintertime surf is pretty rough. Often times the beach is roped off, as it was today. Even without going into the water, this is still a great place to visit and explore. Parking is plentiful and the bathrooms are fairly clean. Just please remember to leave the area better than you found it and respect the restoration areas.

Kid’s friendly snorkeling spot, we saw sting rays and sea turtles! Of course some other fish too! Highly recommend to go early to avoid the crowds. You will have to leave all your stuff by the bay so make sure you don’t bring too much stuff with you if you’re not secure with your belongings. You can basically go anytime of the day, water is still visible even with the crowds. Remember to bring water shoes or some sort of protection for your feet!!

Free spot for some snorkeling. Restrooms are available. Try to arrive early as parking can be limited. Food trucks right across the street. Take your snorkeling gear and water shoes as the walk into the water can be rough due to the rocks. Really enjoyed myself.

Awesome place to snorkeling with interesting experience, especially for the beginner. And it’s safe to see various fish under the water, but avoiding to get close to the area of “water inlet”, especially in the windy weather. Check the tide chart before coming, it is ideal to snorkel at the low tide. Remember to wear water shoes and bath towel.

A good place to bring snorkel gear you'll definitely see some fish without much trouble. Good water shoes are a must the rocks are brutal. There's parking, restrooms and showers to wash off in. If you're looking for turtles you're better off at the other beaches nearby.

Really beautiful place to snorkel. Technically there are reefs here so careful with your sunscreen. Make sure it is reef safe. Also a lot of sea urchins here so be careful. Beautiful waters though.

Stunning. Get here! Bring some goggles and empty bellies. The food trucks serve some delicious foods. You can easily spend all day snorkeling and still not see everything. Really cool spot to eat and enjoy the island a little more.

Great place to snorkel! There is a natural pool that has warm calm water that's only 4ft deep in most places and filled with coral. The water is so clear you can see the fish without putting your face in the water. Perfect place for beginners or children to snorkel. There's so many large schools of fish here. We saw turtles, eels, and so many tropical fish. Best to go when it's high tide. At low tide the pools gets a bit to shallow to swim. Outside the natural pool is a deeper area that we saw a barracuda. The waves are a bit bigger in that area. Parking is limited so go early or be lucky. Bathrooms and showers are provided. Very small sand area. Wear water shoes because the rocks between the sand and water are sharp!

If you have older children and like to snorkel this is a great place to stop. Parking can be a little tricky so follow the signage. There are restrooms and an outdoor shower if needed. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES UNATTENDED. Bring your own life jacket, snorkel gear, and water/sunscreen.

Amazing spot for snorkeling!! The bathroom facilities left a LOT to be desired (very smelly and no toilet paper or soap) but the tide pool is amazing for snorkeling- so many different varieties of fish!! Beautiful location to watch the sunset as well, and it’s right by a shrimp food truck and a shaved ice food truck!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Tropical Paradise for Snorkeling and Sunsets! This beach in Hawaii is an absolute gem! We had the most incredible experience here, and I can't recommend it enough. The snorkeling area is perfect for families, with clear, shallow waters teeming with colorful fish. The water is only about 3 feet deep, making it safe and enjoyable for all ages. The water is incredibly clean and crystal clear, providing a captivating underwater world to explore. We spent hours snorkeling, observing the vibrant marine life, and making unforgettable memories with our family. But that's not all; the sunset views at this beach are simply breathtaking! The stunning hues of the sky as the sun sets over the horizon create a magical atmosphere. I even managed to capture a stunning photo of the sunset that I'll cherish forever (see below)! If you're looking for a perfect spot for snorkeling and a front-row seat to some of the most mesmerizing sunsets in Hawaii, this beach is the place to be and I can't wait to return! Aloha and mahalo for such an unforgettable experience! 🤙🏼

Amazing area for snorkeling. Parking can be a little stressful. We had to pass it, then circle back around and eventually got a spot close by. The rocks can be a little bit tricky to climb down to get to where we wanted to go, but some entry areas were a little easier to manage. The water was clear, but the tide was a little strong sometimes. We saw lots of fish and even a sea turtle! When we were done, we walked to a spot nearby to grab some lunch. There was parking there if you can't walk.

Great spot for snorkeling. You will see plenty of fish. Make sure to bring water shoes, as it is rocky. Also beware of the wave breaks! I was pushed against a reef and got stung and scraped up. Be careful, but enjoy!

This tidal pool was our favourite snorkeling spot on the island. Small, yet has a great diversity of different types of marine life and beautiful, colourful fish. It can be crowded but still plenty of place to explore. Please be respectful of the coral and remember that you are a guest in the sea world.

Absolutely gorgeous place to snorkel and dive. Lots of rocks you can swim through/under and an awesome cave down in the rocks. If you haven't been you have got to go and explore! Wear water shoes for sure to walk along the rocks to get down into the cave and you can even jump off the rocks and hop back in the water with about a 12 ft drop! This is a must do!

Very neat spot! The cove is protected from the crashing waves and sandy with volcanic rocks. You can walk around and look at the fish or snorkel in the shallow waters. Lots of striped and white fish. Also saw a snowflake moray and white mouthed moray eel that swam around terrorizing the children 😅. I’ll be back!

It is beautiful place, there is fish everywhere even in very shallow. I saw a lot of people were snorkeling. Water looks clam and not rough. The view is stunning too. Parking is very crowded in the evening time. The opposite side has a lot of food stands.

The place where I saw a lot of fish in the clearest water during my trip to Hawaii!! There are depths low enough to be safe for children, and places where waves come in are slightly deep, so you can enjoy a variety of snorkeling!! I didn't see any turtles, but the water was really clean!!

What a beautiful area!! We enjoyed an amazing sunset! Really loved this spot for snorkelling. It wasn’t too busy and there were all kinds of different fish to look at!

  • 5/5 Anderson F. 2 years ago on Google
Great spot for snorkelling. No special/need to protect shoes. It is easy to avoid the rocks at the beginning. Very important. Be careful if you try to climb the edge rocks. Many times people get injured because waves came in unpredictable moment and they are no time to escape.

Sharks cove is an incredible experience for the whole family! You definitely need protective gear in hands and feet because the rocks are sharp but it is an absolute blast. If you stay still the fish and crabs will come out for you to see them!

It is fairly out of the way, but it's an excellent place to snorkel with natural sea life. I definitely recommend that you're a strong swimmer if you're attempting to swim here, but if you're confident it is very much worth it. Keep in mind the parking is fairly limited and it can often be busy. Aside from the cove, there is a small beach adjacent to it as well as some bathrooms.

A must visit when traveling to Oahu. Great place to experience the warm and clear waters of the ocean. Many fish to see around the corral. The tide does get rough in the evenings but very calm throughout the day time. Enjoy the beautiful sunset with that special person you Love!

Woovvv, amazingly beautiful place! It’s one of the best snorkeling spots definitely. If you visit Oahu, I strongly recommend visiting this place. - Great fishes to watch, big and small ones with beautiful colors - Nice underwater structures (rocks etc) - Once you are on the beach, incredible view of north waves. Fortunately big rocks are blocking them so that we can do snorkeling :) - Amazing place to watch sunset, unique experience - Lots of parking spots in the area - Delicious food places right accross the street
