Beautiful park with amazing ocean and mountain views. Super picturesque. Nice grassy fields perfect for family picture taking. Beach is a little rocky but waves are usually tiny and perfect for very small children. Nice island floating right in the middle of the water. You can kayak there if water not to rough.

A beautiful park with a large beach, a view of the sea and the surrounding mountains. Two free large parking lots and restrooms are available. An excellent place for families with children for the whole day. But bring something to eat and drink with you, you won't find any restaurants here.

Drove by this place and have to stop due to the nice view and easy parking! Beautiful grass and beach, equipped with restrooms and shower to wash off the salt water! Many people have tents seat-up for a day of relaxing with friends and family! We should do that next time!

Huge fantastic park. It was less crowded and the view of the Chinamen's cap island is gorgeous. We tried to walk down the beach towards the secret island. We got as far that we could see the secret island, but could not trek further as there was no good way to get there without swimming in the ocean. Gorgeous

First time visit and found this to be a beautiful spot of Hawaii. Looks like it's a scene where most photographer's captures family pictures.

This is a great place to spend the day. You will not find many tourists, in fact I did not see any obvious ones (other than us). Its more of a locals beach, with big family BBQs and people fishing. The water is fantastic its shallow quite a way out and for some of the beach you need beach shoes as there is lots of coral. There are loo blocks along the beach and at the end a big block you can use for changing. It also has some of the best views and is the site used for the backdrop in Magnum (the house does not exist, its CGI over this park).

If you love nature, you will enjoy this natural botanical park. It is a free drive-through park. Ample parking and grassy areas at various stops to throw down a blanket and picnic, meditate, or just enjoy nature. The green covered mountains are majestic, the foliage so thick, it's like a scene from Jurassic Park. The drive was about 40 minutes from oahu right off the highway. Great place to appreciate the wonders of nature.

I absolutely love this park is in a beautiful location. It has bathrooms and has a lot of grass beach. There’s also kind of a retaining wall built that prevents the waves from hitting the beach so hard. It also creates a bit of a tide pool for the kids to play and it’s just super nice great for kayaking you can swim paddle boards whatever!

Mahalo for reading my review! I absolutely love this beach park! We happen to live close by this area, and while we have many many choices when it comes to beaches to visit on Oahu my pick would be this beach as it's practically across the street from Kualoa Ranch which offers multiple activities, Jurrasic souvenirs, and food. At this beach you'll have endless breathtaking views of the maukas all around you, the often talked about China Hat which makes for amazing photo ops, and it offers plenty of parking, restrooms, and convenience stores and eateries nearby. This is simply a great stop if your out exploring the Windward side of the island of Oahu! Aloha 🤙🏻🌺

Great spot to take some photos / stop to stretch the legs and walk along the Beach. This isn't the softest sand in the area (for that I'd recommend pulling off to the side of the road further down the highway) but super nice to have the parking lot / tables to eat at.

Huge park with a fantastic beach. Be wary of the Portuguese Man-of-War. The view of the mountains behind is also spectacular. Great place to camp or picnic!

Our first visit to Hawaii and this park. We took the Jeep Excursion ride, because the ATV ride was booked. A must visit to this park when in Oahu Island. Loved everything about this park. The beauty, the scenery, the mini hike, the jeep Excursion ride, our experience was wonderful. We will come back. 🙌👍😊

Such a gorgeous and private beach area! Lots of chickens..cats..and cool looking birds roaming around the picnic table area. A lovely place to have a family meal right near the beach. The mountain and water views are epic! PARADISE! Wife and kids were happy! (:

This park is super nice and not a ton of people. Near enough to Jurrasic park to enjoy. Water was super blue and but thr water at the beach was a bit to rough for us to play in. This is what you'd expect from a typical beach. Lots of cool rocks and coral to look at. Bathrooms were pretty rough but still usable.

It was our plan B when we first went to Kualoa ranch and told all tours sold out. It's free ans extremely easy to find parking even on weekends. The water is good for young kids to swim and adults to fishing and kayaking, with restrooms and even shower

A wide park & a narrow beach with some great views. For people interested in 'birding' there were plenty of birds to see too.

My wife and I did the UTV tour and it was so much fun. This was a 2 hour tour where we not only saw where popular movies were filmed but also learned some interesting history of the area. Our guides were fun, knowledgeable, and professional. You can take the bus tours that will stop at some places that the UTVs do not but we were able to go a lot of places that others could not. A trade off for sure but in my opinion, the UTV tour offers the best experience. Highly recommend!!!

Great stop for a little picnic under nice tables. The views are spectacular, sea on one side the mountains on the other. And this is so far away from the hustle bustle that one can find a quite spot to just relax or take a dip in the ocean. Def recommended for the souls looking for slower paced environments.

Nestled less than a mile from the famous Kualoa Ranch, Kualoa Regional Park exceeded our expectations during our early morning visit. The park’s serene ambiance and stunning backdrop of lush green mountains against the clear blue ocean provided a breathtaking view that made for some fantastic photos. We arrived early, which was a strategic move as it allowed us to explore the beach in near solitude. The tranquility of the park in the early morning hours provided us with a unique experience, giving us the opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty without the usual crowds. Kualoa Regional Park isn’t just a pretty face; it offers practical amenities too. Shaded picnic spots provided a perfect setting for a leisurely family meal, and we noticed that these areas were well-maintained. If you’re into water activities, there’s a small area for snorkeling, and you can rent gear nearby. What struck us was the overall cleanliness of the park and the care that goes into its upkeep. This attention to detail added to our positive experience. So, whether you’re looking for a peaceful morning retreat, a place to relax with family, or a convenient stopover on your way to Kualoa Ranch, Kualoa Regional Park is a hidden gem worth exploring.

Clean and not crowded at all. The drive up was absolutely breathtaking. Although there were quite a bit of rocks in the water it was still very beautiful and tranquil. A wonderful park for picnics.

A park with amazing scenery. Plenty parking spots even on a public holiday. Washrooms available. The beach is so-so, the water is shallow with some algae presence.

This is a beautiful and quiet beach! There are lots of coral pieces in the water, though. There is also a great green picnic area all along the beach with restrooms and fresh water showers!

This park is a gem. The view is amazing. Huge place so it doesn’t feel crowdy. You can see the chinamans hat in distance. With the sea breeze coming in, it's the perfect place for a lazy afternoon.

The geology of the island and the mountain range that can be viewed inland of the park are phenomenal! Park has a lot of green space and an appropriate amount of parking space. I hear you can walk out to the island at low tide. Sounds amazing if that is true. Maybe next time.

Regional park with an amazing view to the mountain range, the hat island and is right by the water. Parking on site and it is free. They have lots of picnic tables which makes it perfect to have lunch or a group activity. I saw people taking their kayaks and canoes. Also a good place to see the ocean waves and admire the landscape. There is a bus stop right in front of the park.

This park/beach is breath taking. I took an Uber here and the cost was less than $50 and it was worth it. I wanted somewhere that wasn’t over populated with spectacular view and beach and calmness. The water was colder than I expected and lots of rocks so bring WATER SHOES. 10/10 I would recommend taking the drive to take in this breathtaking beach. Pack a lunch snacks and just chill. Great place for pictures. I loved every about this place and would come again without hesitation.

Easy to access beach park with a lot of parking. Great views and the water was clear. Lots of interesting things washed up onto the beach like stones, twigs, seaweed (?) and lots of different types shells. There is a bathroom and trash cans. The trash cans are there for a reason, please throw away your trash and keep the beach beautiful.

Gigantic Park and campground. There is plenty of room to hang out, BBQ, or relax for the day. On the far end there is a very protected beach that's good for kids. Views on all sides are dramatic. This is a pretty laid back public park.

The site is amazing! So much space to be in. Great for walking and have events at. A purely magical place to have a wedding (which we saw someone doing). The beach is stunning. Very clean area. And the view... cannot say enough about the views!!

Encompassing 4,000 acres of lush valleys and mountains on Oahu’s windward coast near the town of Ka'a'awa, Kualoa Ranch has some of the most beautiful scenery on the island.

Total locals spot! There are numerous camping sections that have to be reserved! Great beach area. Unfortunately there were trade winds coming in the afternoon we were there.

Wide open park with loads of space and plenty of beach/ocean access for people of all ages to enjoy.

  • 4/5 Phil S. 2 years ago on Google
It's a nice park with lots of seeds all over the grass. There is a pretty mountain ⛰ behind the park. The Ocean is not as blue as other beaches but still nice. There are restrooms but were quite gross and no soap.

Wow! Just amazing place. Nice warm water at the beach. Animals everywhere. You have high mountain ranges around you and can see little islands to the distant.
