Everything was great from the guy at the front desk super accommodating. The server was awesome. She gave us great service. After our day we had, we needed that. The only thing I didn't like was the 2 little roaches crawling and crusing on the side top part of our table.

We used to love this place soooo much! Used to be our lunch place for literally years. But today the experience was just A LOT. We got all u can eat for almost $37 person. We waited 20min to only get one ordered placed. The girl didn’t grilled properly and even when I asked her to do so she just pretty much told me I’m grilling wrong and that’s why it gets sticky like whut 💀. We were only able to order three times before they told us out time was out. Like we were waiting for our food MORE than we were actually eating it!. Rice was cold. We can’t even say the meat was worth it because the seasoning was just so bad ! Too salty in some or NO flavor at all in others. We paid near $120 for both all u can eat and we feel they just ripped us off. This experience was just enough for us to NEVER come back again. If u want a good all u can eat we totally recommend GEN Korean BBQ at Ala Moana. Price is better. Food is better. Staff is a LOT better. This is just ridiculous I feel they are getting worse and worse and we didn’t even go in a weekend !!!

My and my wife went there for lunch. It was my first time and I was really excited. My wife however, had been to Gyu-Kaku a few times in the past. Our server mentioned that we could eat all we wanted (based on the package we selected), but if the food were left over, we’d need to pay for it, which we found fair. The quantity was fine and we didn’t have any leftovers. However, I liked just 25% of the items we ordered and didn’t like others. Specially, it was very difficult for us to cook the meat on the grill because it kept sticking and getting burnt. We did ask our server to grease it again but that didn’t help. Overall, I’d say you can go there for a good experience but you can probably get better food somewhere else.

Ordered food for delivery, after processing credit card payment they informed me they dont deliver to my area. I cancelled the order and requested a refund and they refused...Bad business practices. Cannot comment on the food.....but if it is anything like their customer service I would stay away....

Lots of dairy free gluten free options! Most Korean BBQ places don't have sauces or marinades for their meat that are gluten free but this place does! The yuzu salad with house sauce was my go to a few times too! Very yummy

Crazy how I want to find a place I want to eat at when I'm too lazy or don't want to cook at home. Yet my family and I still find ourselves coming here and I end up "cooking" anyways 😂 .. My kids love it here, we love the food and enjoy the staff. We don't like the long wait times for a table on the weekends, so we do go during the week. We do order all our items A La Carte and our bill comes out around $50-70 cheaper.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food is outstanding. We got the all you can eat option, and the joy you can have talking while sitting around the grill and cooking the meat is an awesome experience. Dining in is the way to go.

We love this place. They were so efficient about the vaccine mandate info gathering. The staff is really helpful and friendly. Cooking at your own table is really cool. All of the meat was so tender and flavorful. We were able to order some of our meats on the Happy Hour menu and that saved us some money. But of course, we just used it to order dessert! We highly recommend this restaurant.

I am a frequent customer and was very disappointed with the lack of organization. Originally we were told we had a wait time of 15-20 minutes and after waiting more than 1.5 hours we were told that they had run out of meat. There was no compensation for the inconvenience and our wasted time.

All the food here is really good! I only give it 4 stars because our table was facing the kitchen and it looked dirty in there. It was the floors in particular that looked grimy. I tried to not think about it to much but the experience clearly stuck with me.

Excellent service & an excellent location for Celiacs/ gluten-free folks to eat at. Most all-you-can-eat / BBQ places have wheat based sauces, but Gyu-Kaku has fantastic gf sauces.

Came here for some good food and was not dissatisfied! Great portions, good flavors, incredibly friendly waitress (great job Bella!) and a full stomach. The beef sukiyaki bibimbap was delicious and something I’d definitely eat again. My daughters had the garlic noodles and spring rolls and enjoyed them a lot. We’ll be back for sure!

Gyu-Kaka is a very cozy table cook BBQ place located in the mall. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with very friendly wait staff. Our waiter CHELSEY was extremely good at her job. We ordered from the Premium menu and found that the filet mignon and the HARAMI SKIRT STEAK were our favorite. We also ordered the dumplings which were soooo good they just dissolve in your mouth. We finished our meal with the delicious matcha ice-cream. We enjoyed our dinner so much we forgot to take pictures of the food😂😂😂! We highly recommend this place! Must try!

The food was very delicious. Our server seemed to be waiting too many tables so he appeared overworked and stressed. Additionally, the grill on our first table was not working adequately so we moved tables.

Went to the Kaneohe restaurant with my three adult daughters for Mother's Day last year. We all enjoyed our meals and had fun cooking it ourselves. The price was right and the meat and veggies were spiced perfectly. Loved it!! Yes we dined in.

We wanted to cook our food but it was pretty expensive so we had some different soups. They were amazing! This is just inside the mall. Gps gets you to the parking lot but you won't see the restaurant from there easily.

Food tasted good, but got a Yuzu Avocado salad and they missed two ingredients. Didn't get cucumber or wonton croutons. They didn't say anything until I asked about it, then just said they don't have it. Not much of a salad, pretty plain without it. Didn't feel like we got very good customer service. This disappointed me.

Me and my husband love coming here but we’re very impressed with our last visit. Our host sat us immediately and I forget his name but he was so kind! Our waitress Brandy made the rest of the night extraordinary! She was very fast at getting us everything we needed, when we ordered she gave us her recommendations and genuinely cared for us the whole time. There was even an experience where some of our food came out a little later and when she found out we hadn’t gotten it yet, she went straight to the kitchen figured it out and then got us our food. She was amazing and really made our experience wonderful. The food here is always great and the service is too!

The portions are very small for what you're paying for. My youngest son commented, "We're going to have to ration this meat." I've never seen kalbi sliced so thin either. I could almost see through it! We won't be coming back here again that's for sure! We were still hungry after we left but thankfully the Leonard's malasada truck was still open.

I typically go to the Kapiolani location, but happened to be in Windward Mall and tried them out. They don't take reservations but it was a weekday evening and I didn't have much of a wait. Great food and lots of fun to grill your own food, and it's the only consistent gluten-free restaurant chain I can take my wife to.

The Hostess Michelle was amazing in explaining their COVID protocols. Our server was really good as well. We choose the all you can eat option and went with the middle price. We felt like it was a good price for what you get. Just make sure that you go there hungry and ready to eat to make it worth it. We have 5 in our family 2 adults and 3 kids. But we ended only paying for the adults and our older daughter since the younger 2 were under 5. Our bill came out to $130ish so definitely not the cheapest place. But its a good once in a while spot for our family.

We waited our reservation for forty min then they didn’t call us when they were ready. They sat us in a table that wasn’t wiped down when lots of other tables were empty. The portions are small and overpriced. The taste of food was good but probably not worth it since we waited another hour for our food. The four person table in front of us ordered after we did and got their food half an hour before us. They kept forgetting our order as well. I would go to a korean bbq place instead.

Oh one of my favorite places to eat. Great happy hour..great selection of meats and appetizers. This restaurant needs to be in more cities but it is perfect for Hawaii. I love to grill and grilling my own food tableside in a smokeless grill is a delight at this restaurant.

  • 4/5 Julian G. 4 years ago on Google
This place is really good for cook your own style meats. They have specials for lunch , lot cheaper and all you can eat for $22. It gives you about 25 options to choose from and the meat is super good. The options range from cheese wontons, to broccoli and butter. Definitely try the hanger steak if you have the chance!

  • 4/5 Brit B. 4 years ago on Google
Never been to a restaurant where I grill my own food, so I have nothing to compare this with. We spent about $100 and couldn't finish all the food. They had some cool sounding drinks on their menu and there were a variety of choices for meats and veggies. I think our favorite was the skirt steak and the toro beef (basically a bacon style cut, not sure on the spelling). The novelty of cooking was interesting. Our server was attentive, super friendly and patient with our lack of knowledge.

Little different than ones in Japan. Meats are cut unevenly. In one serving, some are thick, some are chunk, some are thin. Meat seasoning was unbalanced as well. Service was good.
