Small whole in the wall sushi bar in Kaneohe. Great staff and choices. Parking fronts the restaurant. Located right before Yamashiro building supplies on Kamehameha highway. Decent prices and amounts. Great friendly service. Will go back again for dinner. Went for Sunday lunch which worked well for our family as it wasn't crazy crowded.

Such a clean and nice little restaurant. We are the only one table in the restaurant at lunchtime. They lock the door to prevent other people from coming, which feels very safe. We ordered a sort of sashimi, hibachi carpaccio, honomono salad and salmon dyno roll. All of them are super delicious, highly recommend it!

This is the best restaurant on Oahu. Don't come here, there are onlu a few tables and I want to make sure I can still get in.

Delicious, clean, yummy. I don't even use soy sauce most of the time. If you apreciate sushi that isn't smothered in sauce, has balanced flavors, and is super fresh, you should check them out. I also love the special board of different fish, there is always something new to try!

Excellent sushi restaurant in Kaneohe!! I was so impressed by how everything was so fresh & delicious. Ordered the Rainbow roll, unagi 8 piece maki, & the spicy tuna 8 piece maki. My 3-year old had limited options since it's really only sushi (nothing really fried or cooked)...so we got him a miso soup & a side of rice. He was stoked!! There's a very small parking lot with only a few stalls. We ended up parking in the residential area just a bit up the street. We'll definitely try Tanuki again... Next time, maybe we'll go for the omakase!

I'm sure this place is delicious as I have yet to actually dine in. But I figured it should be known to other patrons that this is a reservation only place. Absolutely no walk ins. And you will need to bring a mask to go inside, which is understandable, as it is a tiny place. We discovered this when we were venturing out to try a new local sushi place. I'm putting this review as a placeholder until we are able to eat there. 😌

This is a pure sushi place. Therefore, there are no noodles or tempura. Just sushi, sashimi, and rolls. Good quality fish. Fish imported from Japan. You can taste the quality. Price is likely higher than other spots, but it is because of the high quality of the fish

Tried Salmon Avo, Dragon roll and Salted ume (plum). Good but not excellent. Rice more glutinous than usual, rolls a bit soft, rather neutral flavours. Generous portions, but quality just fine, not top. Nice staff.

Dinner with my brother and sister with our spouses. Food was very tasty and served quickly after placing our order with the waitress. I think its the best Chinese restaurant in Kaneohe. The waiters and waitresses were quite attentive and friendly. The owner came over to check if everything was satisfactory and that was a nice touch. Definitely will dine here again

The customer service here is 5 stars. Ordered takeout and the man at the counter was very helpful and friendly. They have a great variety of Chinese food. The menu states that they don't use MSG. The food was delicious ! Will definitely come back to dine in.

The menu isn’t overwhelming but they have great options to pick from. Not far from our house which is dangerous because we are tempted to go each week! Great restaurant! The staff were very friendly and answered a lot of questions about the menu. There aren't a lot of seats but the atmosphere is very cozy.

Loved Tanuki sushi! The best sushi restaurant in Kaneohe hands down! They have recently started brining in white trout from Japan. It's to die for! The fatty tuna was amazing as well! We have tried to eat there with kids 3 times but we were previously turned away when they were semi-busy, so maybe not the best place for a family dinner, but we came with our youngest when the restaurant wasn't busy and they were extremely accommodating. We'd highly recommend it!

Incredibly fresh and simply delicious. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Must have the Hamachi Collar if you are lucky enough to snag an order (limited availability)... BYOB. Also very quaint locale with limited seating so suggest reserving a table or seat at the counter. So glad to have a true Sushi Restaurant here in Kaneohe, one that rivals any you can get in town or Waikiki.

New upcoming sushi spot let me start with how incredibly fresh and thick the sashimi is served with warm smiles and elevated customer service byob with limited parking quality here is most impressive cant wait to return! There is nothing fried and I was glad to have their personal exquisite touch in everything they presented to our palettes

I just bought the best tasting Chinese Tea Cookies at Pah Ke’s restaurant in Kaneohe. A few years ago I went on a hunt for the best tasting tea cookie on the island of Oahu. No one made it as tasty and as fresh as Pah Ke’s recipe. I’ve been back there a few times and it’s always the same...delicious! So comforting to eat It with a cup of green tea, it just brings back memories of that same recipe sold when I was growing up in Pearl City. Other delicious snacks they make are rice cake, manapua’s and pork hash. I’ll definitely stop by again.

Good clean food, fast and friendly service. The deep fried chicken had a nice crisp to it. Reasonable prices as well.

The food is usually very good. But the order of noodles was in small pieces. It was like it was reheated. The salt and pepper pork chops was good. Walnut shrimp, Mongolian beef, & beef vegetables was good. We usually get minute chicken cake noodles. But my son wanted the Gon lo mein. Maybe take a break from Pahkes.

We miss eating dinner there but relish the ability to take out and drive home(8 min. drive ) Pah Ke is the only Chinese restaurant that truly reminds us of being back in Queens NYC where we use to live. We loved having two Chinatowns to go to. One in Manhattan and the other in Flushing Queens. Pah Ke fits the bill. Lately we found one special dish that is in our top three of ALL Hawaiian restaurant dishes. It’s their Sole in Black Bean Sauce. Perfectly cooked fish that flakes out in a truly moist manner. The black bean sauce is amazingly balanced. The staff has the true Aloha Spirit.

We hosted a baby's 1st birthday party here,as well as other celebrations. Large enough to accommodate a lot of guests. Food is served hot ,with some waiter service. Waiters are attentive refilling water as needed. The food was good. They made us happy when they Let us order dinner menu items for lunch upon request. They were good providing to go boxes for the generous portions leftovers at the end of lunch. Parking in the front and back. Very accommodating with all the set up of cake, gift table and props. Photographer was present.

Definitely our new favorite sushi joint on the Windward side! Fish is very fresh and service was great. Ideal for couples but cannot fit large groups.

Quality over quanity. The restaurant was very clean, and had sparse decorations. Tables seat no more than two or four without rearrangement, so try to make a reservation. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone that would like to eat very good sushi in a casual, relaxed environment. Everything we got was delicious, from the specials to the basic rolls. The fish felt and tasted super fresh. (Dishes in order) We got the hamachi carpaccio, the hamachi fish of the day (cooked and so delicate), the king salmon sashimi fish of the day, a California roll (this is the first time I noticed sesame seeds on this roll), and a rainbow roll. The staff was kind, responsive, and fun to talk with. It helped that we arrived later in the day, so towards the end we were just chatting. I recommend ordering from the fish of the day menu based on what you like--if you don't know which would match your tastes, they will politely help you figure out what to get.
