All over excellent! Started with the Mussels & great bottle of wine.. Then we each tried the veal ( three ways ).. each bite of food was an explosion of ecstasy!! Wonderful service & atmosphere 🥰 The carpaccio was excellent too!!

Best italian food on Oahu! Had delicious squid ink pasta, beet salad, and the amazing homemade mascarpone cheesecake. My boyfriend and I came here for a romantic dinner celebration and really enjoyed it ❤️

What a charming vibe. Tasty Italian restaurant with great service. Delicious sauce and wine selections. Great date nite place or just a nice venue for any occasion. We chose to share selections from throughout the menu and every bite was wonderful. Make sure to leave room for the marscapone cheesecake! It's blissful!

We came back for my husbands 22nd birthday! Our experience was great! Our server was A+ as well. We didn’t catch his name but he was a taller/lankier gentleman with dark hair. If you get him then just know you’re in great hands! I had the special of the night- spinach and ricotta ravioli and it was really good! My husband loved the lobster ravioli. The bruschetta is a must! Our baby also woke up right as our food arrived ( he’s a ball of energy) so we weren’t able to fully enjoy our meal since we were passing him back and forth- but we never felt that we were a nuisance for having a 7 month old with us. The outside lanai is very stroller friendly- which we love and appreciate- we have gone to many restaurants on island where we’re looked down upon for having a stroller with us- this is not the case at Baci the staff there want you to have the best experience regardless of the fact that you have to take your children with you. I do wish they had high chairs so we could have seated him while we ate. The food was quick and delicious. We got drinks this time and they refilled my husband’s soda multiple times without us asking. We have reservations at the end of the month when my parents come and we’re excited to take them to baci bistro!

We loved discovering restaurants in Kailua on our trip to Oahu, and this place was our favorite! Fantastic Italian food and an impressive wait staff made for a perfect dinner. We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to make room for us at the bar. I would definitely recommend reservations on the weekend. Also note that all of the parking around the town center uses coin operated meters, so have some quarters handy. Worth the drive in from Waikiki for the change of pace and amazing food.

Went here for my birthday dinner. Gnocchi was great, bruschetta was amazing, chocolate decadence for dessert was delicious. Our waiter was super nice. Great atmosphere. Also I really like their soda glasses and wish they would sell them so I could have one at home.

Definitely a small hole-in-the-wall, with a single bench table. Joanne and staff cook up a variety of delicious, comforting breakfast, local, and Korean plates. Love the musubis. Low prices and generous portions make this a very good value, but note it's cash only.

Ono food until I found out that she drops food and puts it back on the plate or grill, doesnt even wash it off, rewashes disposable gloves and marinated her meats uncovered on the ground... very good food but someone is gonna get sick from bacteria and cross contamination. Sad because I ate there a lot and will never go back just because of that alone... plus for her prices the portions are a little skimp.. she has been around forever so you would think aunty would care more about food handling and safety

Awesome little hole in the wall Korean bbq spot, really nice Korean auntie runs the place and can tell she cook everything with love. My go to spot for breakfast cause the fried rice is amazing.

Great little local mom and pop place. They've been here since I was a kid. I have all the best memories from this place. They are quick with service and always make their food with Aloha. It's always like it just came out of mom's kitchen. It's a nice cross between Korean and local hawaiian food.

Baci Bistro wasn’t my first option for dinner on a Sunday night, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food and robust menu. Unfortunately, slow and inconsistent service left the overall dining experience less than ideal. Me and my party made a reservation for the evening and were quickly seated at our reservation time. The server was slow to get to our table and while there was olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table we did not see bread until over halfway through the meal. I ordered the pear salad for an appetizer and was impressed by the flavor and presentation. The rigatoni with sausage also had excellent taste, but was on the smaller side for a main dish. We finished the meal with tiramisu, and Baci Bistro’s tiramisu is certainly up there with the best I’ve had. Throughout the meal our server was either slow or inattentive, while only working 4 tables in the inside portion of the restaurant. Maybe it was an off-night for them, but I expected more given the reviews. Overall Baci Bistro is a decent place to visit if you’re looking for a large selection of Italian dishes in Kailua. If their service was as good as their tiramisu they’d easily be a 4-5 star restaurant in this reviewer’s humble opinion.

We had heard good things, and for our first night out since having our second baby we made a reservation for 730, so we arrived just then and checked in and were told it would be a minute. At 740 we were told it would be just “3 minutes” they were setting our table. At 750 we were told “they’re getting up” and we were finally seated at 8. We were ready to put the delay behind us, but no one came over to apologize or even give us water for over 5 minutes - so with our babysitter in the clock we left. We were so disappointed. It was a big night we had looked forward to and had put a lot of effort into planning. It was atrocious service, and very disappointing. At the end of the day, we had wasted an hour and a half of our time and paid a babysitter in order not to be fed or have even a bit of water. I cannot see us ever returning.

I can’t begin to explain how amazing my experience here was. To start off the service was great, everyone was very patient and never rushed us to order. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, it felt like a place you go to for comfort. The food was delicious and the wine was perfect with it. I did know prior to going that it was a family owned business, and after leaving I could definitely tell how much love they’ve put into everything. Overall I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes and drinks :)

We ordered takeout and it was very delicious. We ordered an array of entries and all were very good. Too lazy right now to list the entries, but it appears you can't go wrong with whatever you order. I definitely recommend this place.

Great food and the service was awesome! It was REALLY busy when we went so it felt a little chaotic. But the staff was amazing and though it was a full house they still made us feel welcome.

Pat was amazing server with classy service and down to earth neighborhood friendliness. The Amore Classico Chianti was exceptional to Go with the Best veal scallopine I’ve ever had…including in Italy. The restaurant is filled with local Italians, who know authentic cuisine. The beet salad, and the chevre goat cheese, and the Parmesan was so fresh. It was just a delight to eat there. I’m going back soon! Thank you Baci!

Pretty disappointed. I really enjoyed this restaurant a few years ago but sadly the food quality has gone down and the service was very poor. Risotto was a a bit crunchy and the Prosciutto and melon was below par.

  • 4/5 Shawn C. 10 months ago on Google
Good small Italian restaurant. The food was upscale with a casual atmosphere. The service was excellent after we were able to be seated. There is not a very good place to wait if you are early for your reservations. The seating isn't very comfortable and it has a crowded feeling. Overall that's just splitting hairs because the food and service were fantastic. I would recommend this as a place to take a date you want to spoil when you don't feel like getting dressed up. Very good Tom Collins and an excellent wine list.

Small place down a side street just off the main road. I drop in for a breakfast musubi when I'm in town. No tables just take out.

We were not planning to stop here for dinner during our returning trip from north shore. Pleasantly surprised by the authentic Italian dishes. I got the risotto and it was delicious. The portions was just right, but my friend’s spaghetti with clams was a big portion that came with a lot more clams than she had expected. It’s a pretty busy restaurant so I do recommend making reservations!

Came here on a recommendation from Uahi Grill’s bartender who raved about their truffle gnocchi. You need to make a reservation. Food was delicious, bus boy was always fillings water and taking empty plates, waiter didn’t keep us waiting long and was friendly, atmosphere was cozy and decor was nice. Owner Chris came to the table and she was very friendly. Also impressed me that she was helping throughout the restaurant. Love owners who can be a team player ❤️ They serve complimentary bread with oil and vinegar which was simple but good. You can see what we had but the texture of noodles on the linguini nere was so tender and scallops were cooked perfectly! And flavor of that dish was so Ono! Flavor and texture of shrimp dish was also perfect, noodles were Al dente but you could tell there was a difference in texture between the pasta dishes. Maybe the squid ink changes the texture. The potato leek soup was on point! My only disappointment was the cherry panacotta. It is my favorite dish so I was looking forward to the texture of it being more jiggly. It was more of the texture of crème brûlée but it was creamy and flavor was yummy. The fresh berries on top was a nice touch! We will definitely be back! Improvements? 1. some fresh ground pepper offered with oil and vinegar. 2. Say something about the texture of panna cotta so we know what to expect. I Probly would’ve ordered anyway because I love black cherries.

Cute spot, good service, ok wine list. Pasta was pretty good and cooked perfectly. Table bread was basic but had a nice crust and softness. Salads had fresh produce but the pear salad had far too much gargonzola. Their red sauce was extremely bland and too sweet. Just lacked any boldness...just plays it too safe.

We had an incredible evening sitting at the bar for dinner. Our severs and TJ at the bar were so entertaining and the food was absolutely delicious. We had two vegan meals - spicy spaghetti and a vegetable risotto and Lilli sorbet for dessert and our non-vegan friends absolutely loved their meal as well especially their famous cheesecake. Great spot for a date or an intimate dinner with friends.

We really enjoyed having a big family dinner out on the patio. The food was amazing as well as the service. I really enjoyed the tiramisu dessert as well.

  • 5/5 Keyanna G. 2 years ago on Google
Incredible service and ambiance! Felt like I was in Italy from the decor to the authentic Italian food. The gnocchi salisiccia was great and filling with enough left over to take home and the cheesecake was phenomenal, light but sweet with refreshing berries on top. But I sat at the bar and was able to see everyone’s meals come out; I’m definitely making my way back, everything looked amazing! Thrilled to have stumbled across this gem, ended up tipping well over 20%! Most stop when in Kailua or visiting Lanikai, be sure to plan ahead and make a reservation!

Best Italian restaurant in town! Loved their bruschetta, spaghetti with lemon shrimp, and spaghetti al puttanesca. Last time I came here with a group of 5, everything we ordered were sublime. This place is better than most of the Italian restaurant I’ve been in Los Angeles. Must stop by here whenever possible! Easy street parking available in the neighborhood :)

Enjoyed a delicious and cozy early Valentines lunch with my partner today. Service was excellent from walking in to leaving. Food was absolutely delicious and filling, even for the endless pit of a stomach I have. Best of all, they have gluten free options. My girlfriend had a Dark Chocolate hazelnut gelato and an espresso and was even pleased with the espresso. Very happy with our visit and look forward to returning! 🤙🏽😊 Mahalo

An acquaintance who formerly lived on Oahu island recommended we take the trip to Baci’s for dinner. What a huge mistake. The food might be fantastic here but, despite what appeared to be over half a dozen available tables near 5:30 pm (not long after they opened), the hostess informed us she didn’t have a table for us. That was fine, because we ended up having a great meal across the street at the Uahu Bar and Grill. The reason I’m leaving this review is because, after we left Uahu about 45 minutes later, the same tables that we had seen empty at Baci’s were still empty, so the only conclusion we could reach was that they just didn’t want to serve us despite having available tables.

Paid 4 dollars per ravioli, we were given 5 of these overcooked bad boys. The other dish was pasta and shrimp and the 6 to 7 shrimp were, you guessed it, overcooked as well. So I thought to myself at least the sauce is on point. I reached for the tiramisu, tasted great, until I got a cup of coffee grounds at the bottom. I could of used the grounds for a fresh cup of coffee. If your down to try these wonders of the world, the i would recommend. The issue i have is that i paid about $60 for three things. And the three meals were sub par and not worth the money.

Ordered for delivery through bite squad and was not disappointed! We ordered the chicken piccata and the lobster ravioli. Both were some of the best we ever had. Absolutely hands down the best picatta and the pasta side was well seasoned as well. The only remark I would make is for the price I feel there should be more raviolis per order, however the taste was so good I wouldn't detract from this rating. Will Absolutely be ordering again. Hey maybe in the future we'll get more raviolis lol

I moved to Kailua in September, I LOVE food, and I never take time to write reviews. However, this restaurant deserves one. I’ve been a server for 7 years and I’ve only ever ordered carry out and every single time it is made perfectly with the modifications I ask for, I’m impressed. The chicken picatta might be the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve traveled the entire country. The caprese salad is worth the price, dark red tomatoes and big slices of cheese. My roommates lick the box clean of the chicken alfredo and the ceaser salad is enough for two to split. If I could eat their food every single day of my life, I would. Go here.

Great food and good service. The only thing I would have to say is a waitress spilled a bottle of wine on me. They offered the party that had the wine a new bottle on the house but they didnt offer us anything except an apology. I would have liked at least a free dessert.

  • 3/5 Trenton D. 3 years ago on Google
UPDATE: They have forgotten items twice now because they don't repeat your order back to you, forgotten salad dressings, made me wait over 20 minutes past the ready time twice, and because the hostess does everything you always have to wait regardless if your order is ready or not. A little pricey but VERY worth it!

  • 5/5 Gregg O. 3 years ago on Google
Very good Italian food. Good variety of non standard Italian entrees. I had potato leek soup special which was great. I then had gnocchi with mushroom and truffle sauce. It was amazing. Best gnocchi I've ever had, which were little pockets stuffed with potato. Very filling despite what appeared to be a small portion. Had pastry Gelato desert which was very good and very similar to a eclair Italian pastry filled with Gelato. Pricey but worth it for real italian food. The restaurant down the street the starts with an "A" is fake horrendous italian food regardless of which one you go to.

Phenomenal service with fantastic food. I absolutely love the atmosphere as well. Clean service at a restaurant like this has made me expect the same from others, only to be disappointed at Baci Bistro's competition! Truly people who care about their business.
