I went to the Ala Moana location where I ordered the Niku Nabe set. When it came to my table, there was a large dead, half cut caterpillar sitting on top of the Napa Cabbage. It was absolutely disgusting and I completely lost my appetite. I told the manager immediately and told him that I no longer want to eat at the restaurant and left. I reached out to the company for reassurance that this wouldn't happen again for the safety of all other patrons and they haven't responded. Do yourself a favor and don't go here.

We walked by during lunch time and there was a spot! That almost never happens - usually you have to book a table ahead of time. We went in and had a great lunch. Food is very good, the staff is pleasant and the food comes out relatively quickly. The place is also not too loud (although it wasn't full at lunch time). Definitely worth a visit. Also: this place is a little like the tardis - it's bigger on the inside!

It was my second time eating here. The food was delicious although a little bit expensive. Regardless, I think it is at a good price. I would recommend others to dine here. The waiters and waitresses seemed a bit busy but were very nice. There is a military discount here. There are vegan options available.

Go for the happy hour menu after 9, it is worth it. So many items at a discounted price plus you can get a pitcher of Kirin for $15. The food is a great and the service is great. I will say that they did bring everything out fast as well. The kim chee meat was awesome to compliment your meal

The best Japanese nabe ever! All the ingredients were fresh including the broth. Awesome customer service as well. Recommend 100%

Great place to come on a rainy day. I had reservations and still waited 10 min to be seated. Service was a little slow today because it was busy. Server tried to memorize our orders but constantly brought the wrong dishes to our table...other than the service...the soup was great!!!

Health meal with easy menu. Vegetable mix was fresh, the meat was okay and on a thinner side comparing to other Shabu places. Very reasonable price with good service.

Ordered 4 sukiyaki USDA prime beef. It is very delicious. Get to cook my own sukiyaki. Call ahead for reservations. Parking is street parking only. Service is nice. Menu has Shabu Shabu option but sukiyaki cook on the table is rare. There is no all you can eat option. Everything is a la cart.

Good hot Pot food here, you can choose your Combo Meal here & or order Ala Carte also. We've been to this location before, & I do enjoy coming here @Ichiriki near Ala Moana Shopping Center. Just remember to call in for a RSVP, we didn't because we are "Spur" of the moment Foodie kind of peeps here, haha. My Hubby didn't care for the Soup that much, (a lil more on the Saltier side, maybe), But I enjoyed everything from this Restaurant, Food, our Wonderful Waitress (JAIMIE!!!), she So Awesome & Nice & very informative about the Menu Selections, etc, including the Desserts we didn't order any because we were SO full from our Dinner! Lol! Other than that, please give this place a try if you've never been here before, sit down & dine-in, Relax & start Cooking your Hot Pop goodies right away :). Luckily for me, my Husband Cooks our Hot Pot food for us, cause he loves to Cook & I suck at Cooking anything, I just am not good at Cooking :D. P.S. - Please say, "Thank you" to our Wonderful Waitress "JAIMIE", she's a very good worker there & knows her job well & interacts with ppl great!!! P.S.S. - Thank you also to the Manager dude (with Da Aloha Shirt) that evening, he would make his rounds all around the tables to check-in on his Customers!! Thank you, Ichiriki, you guys Rock!! Aloha Nui! \000/

The food is always good never have a bad experience with the food although the service was lacking have to wait a very long time just to get a bowl of rice and even getting the egg I have to be sarcastic and ask them are they finding the egg somewhere in the back and are they growing the rice somewhere. This is just constructive criticism that won't discourage me from going there I've been going there for many years and I will continue going there and hopefully next time I go there the service will be better

Update, has been coming here for many years except during the 2 year of Covid. Still very satisfying after the meal. Great place for hot pot. Good food and reasonable price.

This place is a gem! If you like shabu shabu, sukiyaki, or nabe then this is your place. And try the poke appetizer. Great good, great value, super people. If you’re visiting from Japan you will leave happy. Very casual. Reservations highly recommended.

Ichiriki is simply a delight to eat at every time. While it seems like the meat selection would be the highlight, every time I am blown away by how flavorful the broth is. When your base is so delicious, anything you come here for is going to be fantastic.

I really like this!! The nabe was REALLY delicious! I like the broth of Paitan and the rib eye chanko and the happy hour Kobe beef set.

They liked my fit, so I'd give them 6 if I could. Pretty cute hotpot spot, food was good, staff was friendly, and greatly priced.

Came here for dinner but the place smell. Wasn’t sure what it was probably cleaning solution that was really strong. Food was good. Not too crowded if you come before 5pm.

Clean environment, service was great, food was even better, and Anthony our server was friendly and very attentive (thank you)! Would definitely recommend this place. And parking is behind the building, limited, but only $1.

Seems like this is the kind of place where you'd go if you have a big family or people are visiting and you dont want to cook. Everything was fine, but nothing blew my mind. Our server disappeared for awhile while we were waiting to pay.

My Japanese friend took me here for dinner, and it was delicious! Classic hot pot, seating and atmosphere. The dessert was an incredible finish to a generous and tasty meal.

Good service and the food tasted great. Got the Ahi Katsu (amazing) and a Pirikara broth Short Rib Shabu Shabu with Udon noodles. I left the restaurant very full (there was still a bit left in the pot) and satisfied. The picture with the meat already had some of the meat put in the pot, so imagine the full plate filled with meat.

This place has everything you would want from a small hotpot place; good selection of meats, plenty of vegetables, and solid seafood. I liked the combos they had, and the drink selection is good as well. Only problem is the servers here don't seem to walk around and top up pots with broth. By the end of our dinner, our pot was practically dry and full of soup scum. There are also no condiments for the meat, the only seasoning is in the broth.

The food was delicious with nice presentation. The rice was dry and barely warm though. Awesome friendly staff! Albeit, the server wore a mask with a valve which made me feel a bit uncomfortable. This type of mask is not allowed on public transportation.
