It's morning. So, it's breakfast time!!! How do omelettes and pancakes sound to you? IF THIS IS JUST WHAT YOU WANT, I've got just the right place to recommend to you. This very popular local restaurant, the Original Pancake House, serves up very large portions of mouth-watering hot, happy, very filling tasty (they call it "Ono Food") along with toasty Hawaiian coffee!!! YOU GOT THE MESSAGE. Words don't (cannot) adequately describe this customer friendly, outgoing kitchen crew, service staff and satisfying meals that they serve. And, ALL this at a very reasonable price. They promptly take your orders with cheery, local charm. NOW A SERIOUS NOTE OF CAUTION HOWEVER: This is a very POPULAR local "hang-out" for family and friends (especially on holidays and weekends). So, you may need to wait a bit in order to be seated. OR, better yet, consider a mid-week visit. I bring all my local and international friends and guests here. Check them out. You won't be disappointed.

This is not a fancy breakfast place. It’s 5 stars for what it is - good food served hot and a coffee cup that is never empty. We were hungry and our food came out very quickly. Thank you to whoever suggested the crepes, they were amazing. The portion was large enough we all shared some. Everyone loved their food. Our waiter was extremely kind and patient with our son while he made his choices. We will be back.

It's been close to 15 years since I last ate here at the Original Pancake House. My dad would take me and my brother here, about once a week, in the early morning to have breakfast before school. 15 years later, the food was as delicious as I remembered and the service is also excellent. Overall, a great spot to have breakfast and the pancakes are always a must order.

Service seemed generally good, but one of the waitresses were just awful. She was one of the two old ladies wearing eyeglasses and she wore her mask under her nose and would toss food and menus on your table and then scold you if you change your mind while looking through the menu. She only changed her attitude when it came time to pay. Came here after seeing a lot of good reviews about the Dutch Baby Pancakes. Also ordered the Sweet French Toast while waiting. Both were surprisingly mediocre but were fresh and hot. The Dutch Baby was ready much quicker than expected. The food may have tasted better if the service wasn’t so bad. Just the one rude waitress ruined the experience. Perhaps she should find work somewhere else that isn’t in the hospitality industry.

The pancake house? Well that's total five star, lidat. I mean, the only gripe that I still have is that they got rid of the sourdough pancakes but that was years ago. Da Family has been coming here for decades and it is what it is and you wouldn't want to have it any other way.

I opted for the sweet roll French toast, and it was amazing. The rest of my table also loved the crepes, as well as the spam and eggs. Don't be put off by the slightly sketchy location, highly recommended!

A bit hole in the wall, so of course it was delicious. Don't look at the kitchen. Weird that not all of the "Omelettes" come with cheese, some you have to pay $1.50 to add it. The potato omelette was SO GOOD and so were the pineapple pancakes.

The food and staff are just as good as before covid. Too bad our government has let these local restaurants fully open and get back to normal. My favorite is their corned beef omelet and asparagus omelet, they use fresh ingredients. The banana pancakes are moist and taste delicious.

The Loco Moco was super beefy and flavourful!!! Best on I had in Oahu - the gravy was actually made from the beef juices and not the typically packet gravy which was a nice change. I also enjoyed the Hawaiian Pancakes which was made with pineapples and came with coconut syrup - super fluffy and tasty.

Good breakfast food and decent service (especially for how busy it was). I couldn't get a Dutch pancake due to the wait being 45 min to make it fresh, so I'm going back and hoping to give a 5-star to the food from this or the crepes.

Excellent quality, large portions and a wide variety of options to choose from. Not the best location of this chain that I have been to, but the food is still up to par.

Unexpected that this is a delicious place to eat. Don't let the decor fool you. The hostess are friendly and sear you right away. The waitress are always around but not imposing. Seating to getting food 10 minutes . The best was the hot delicious food. Kudos to you all.

Great place for family style breakfast and one of the few places that offers cream of wheat, which was a nice surprise (it was amazing, by the way!) A couple points: R&D's Favorite Omelet - there was way too much salsa on top of it, and it was really watery, so it made everything soggy. Not to mention, it wasn't seasoned, so really, all you could taste was the salsa. HOWEVER The service - immaculate. My waitress was friendly and attentive, and once the manager heard that I did not like the omelet she not only came to me for feedback to give to the cooks, but she also comped it from my bill, which I really appreciate! I'll definitely be back to try other items on the menu, if not just for the cream of wheat!

Super tasty food at an affordable price. I had the potato omelette with a side of pancakes. It essentially was a decomposed baked potato omelette 😍 I made this breakfast turn into two breakfasts because of the serving size. The only thing I would recommend is that the plate for the side of pancakes was a bit larger as the syrup was no where to go except off the edge. Other than that, I’d come here again and try a new dish!

Not a great experience. I read other people’s reviews and they had a great experience and food but that was not my case. 1. Place smells like a mix of pee and mold. 2. Omelettes doesn’t look like a regular omelettes (should the menu specify what omelettes they offer) 3. Food was not great, I rather eat at Mc Donald’s for rice, port. sausage and eggs.(I’m all about supporting local business) 4. Tap water has a funny taste.

Food was great and the people are kind. I didn't take any pictures, but I had Bacon & Eggs with pancakes. My son had a Blueberry Waffle that was delicious! The coffee is good too! This was the perfect stop to enjoy breakfast on our way to the airport.

Best pancakes on island hands down! The service is also impeccable. Before my cup is empty, they’re already filling it up. It can get quite busy but they’re really good about getting people in and out. I recommend the Denver Omelette with cheese and of course get the pancakes! You will not be disappointed.

Great food and awesome service. This place is a classic IYKYK. Can be a wait depending on the time you go but you’ll usually be in quick, and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. My Favorites are the Banana pancake and the Portuguese Omelet with a side of corned beef hash

This location is definitely a local hole in the wall. The food is always good. The bacon strips are thick and tasty. The pancakes are big, fluffy and delicious. I love the hash browns. For the price I feel I get value for my money and we leave happy and content. The waitresses are efficient and friendly. The girl who seats you has no personality and very matter of fact, don't expect a friendly greeting.

Amazing place to eat breakfast. First time in Hawaii and I was very pleased with the food. I got the Loco moco, which was really good. Then my buddy got pancakes with tropical syrup and it was 🔥 🔥. Will recommend.

One of the best breakfast in the island! Pancake is big and fuffy! Their mushroom omelettes is very delicious and in large portion. Friendly and nice waitresses and staff. People keep coming back because they treat everyone like family. The place is clean and tidy. Bathrooms or restrooms are clean and available inside. Plenty parking.

Haven't been there in a while. Still have the best pancakes in town.
