Service was very slow, took an hour and a half to get our food. Only had the first round of drinks, never stopped back to see if we wanted another drink. No waters served either. When food finally came it was OK. Short staffed... Maybe but some communication is still necessary and a missed opportunity on drink sales. We will not return and I do not recommend.

Please let the customer know before hand if you will be salting a drink. I ordered the “roasted lemonade” and I’ve never even been to a place where they garnish lemonades with salt. My lemonade was completely saturated with a salt taste to where I could barely take more than a couple sips. I asked waiter for a water instead of any more lemonade and he still charged me the 4.75 for a lemonade that was ruined. That’s like bringing someone a carbonated water as a sprite and still charging.. I feel as though it just was a miss communication that could have been avoided by just asking if I wanted salt or not. However apart from that inconvenience, the food was good, especially the fries, and the wait time wasn’t bad at all. Also it’s not too bad of an atmosphere as well.

Excellent southern bbq food. I had the 2 meats & 2 sides. The brisket was amazing and pulled pork was really good. I’ve added the sauce and it was just delicious. Plus I ordered a lemonade and didn’t expect they gave me a pitcher size drink.. impressive. My coworker had thr cuban sandwich and he said it was great. By the way, they serve popcorn as a starter… very unique. Definitely coning back here.

Small little bar with indoor and outdoor seating and delicious food. The Firecracker Shrimp are ridiculously good. This place is a quick trip from the airport so on your way in or on your way out of town makes it a great choice for lunch or dinner.

We found this place because they advertised happy hour so we decided to drop in, the food was delicious we ordered peel and eat shrimp this is a must try, as well as the fried crab stuffed deviled eggs amazing. Good price for a 32 oz draft beer. The reason I didn't give it a 5 star , was because they put the oysters on the happy hour special but they're regular price?? and they were very small for the price! Our server was great! I would definitely come back but wouldn't order the oysters.

This restaurant is a fun casual spot with great food and friendly service. I had the Crab Cobb Salad, which was great, but my husband ordered 3 smoker items and 2 sides, so I got to try a lot of different things. First, the turkey and pork from the smoker were super moist & flavorful, but the most awesome in my opinion were the sides - the cornbread casserole and mac salad. Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area (very close to Pearl Harbor if visiting)

One of our favorite places in Aiea. Love their crab cakes, waffle fries, and Swamp Water cocktail! The grits are also amazing and a welcome sight to this Southerner. Can’t wait to take our friends and family here.

Cool bar and casual restaurant. Sat on patio at wooden picnic table and enjoyed beer and burger. Wish they'd allow dogs on the outside patio. Great little spot though. I look forward to trying other items, but the burger, though big, was kind of unsatisfying. Something about the patty wasn't right. I thought it was a little bland and had a taste like there was unrendered beef fat still on it. I want to try the BBQ for sure though. Smelled great.

This was a last minute dinner stop for our family, I’m glad we pulled in! The burger I ordered was amazing!!! The bbq sauces they offered were tasty, and they start it all off with popcorn 😋!! The server we had was familiar with west Texas, so that made it that much more memorable! Thank you guys for the great food and warm welcome!

My wife and I visited Pearl Harbor and found this little place for a late lunch. More of a bar atmosphere than restaurant but great food at a reasonable price. Had the special, pulled pork nachos and a happy hour special of peel em and eat em shrimp. Both were very good!

Tasted great, real down home not like any other restaurant on island, I tride every sauce they had they are all familiar to me since I'm a regular BBQ eater. I had one of the burgers it was cooked to order and was cooked the way I like, medium. The fried where crunchy the beer was cold and the service was fast.

Great for a post-Pearl Harbor visit decompression. Always a comfort to see a local crowd (hello servicemen and servicewomen dining in!) to give you some assurance that the food will be great. And great it was! My friend loved the brisket sandwich, and the ribs I got were perfection. Fries great, brussel sprouts delicious, and the banana pudding (and especially the donuts that come w it) a must-order. Service zippy and friendly. A+++ from me!

The food was very good. Mac n cheese tasted like it was from a box, but overall, the food was good. They brought our food to another table, and my waitress forgot my corn bread. Didn't seem to know if my food came with one or 2 sides. I didn't care for the random birds flying in but I think the place had a cool environment and the staff seemed very nice. There's a big parkinf lot at the premises. I will def come back!

The staff and managers are super friendly and some of there food is awesome. The sweet tea is to die for. But on the other hand one of my last visits here I was craving a cheese burger I ordered one and it was still frozen in the middle. I asked if they came pre-made and was told no so I asked another server and she told me yes and told me they didn’t use to come like that and they were so much better. For 9-15 dollars I think the hamburger should be pressed in store. They took it off my bill and apologized for the inconvenience which was appreciated. I did enjoy my service and my sweet tea so I paid for that and tipped my server the price of the frozen patty. I have been back twice since but just to grab a sweet tea to take home.

I use to always love going here. I know with this whole new way of getting into a new normal can be difficult. We try to support restaurants. We decided to go here for lunch and now we can just seat ourselves anywhere. It took a while for a waitress to come greet and take our drink orders. However, she was really friendly. The food was good. The sweet tea is still really great. We waited for over 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. I think that if we felt more welcomed when we came in and if they came up to us to take our drink orders quicker, it would of been better.

Don’t order the “lump crab” Cobb salad. It literally. Ones with two teaspoons of canned crab with a whole lot of lettuce, tomatoes, corn and bacon. $17 for a $5 ABC side salad.

Trash can...geez, felt like they fed us yesterdays food. Pulled pork was almost dehydrated and without taste. The brisket had a lot of smoke smell, but no taste. The six wings were just bleh. The fish seemd like the only fresh thing on the table. Yeah, it was that pathetic. Sorry folks, will never eat here again.

I recently put an order in for takeout. The order was for 4X burgers and fries for my family. The person who took my order never informed me that they ran out of buns and that it would come on texas toast (sliced bread). I called back to let them know I wouldn’t have placed that order had I known. They passed me off to the manager on shift. His response was yeah we ran out of buns. He finished off with sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience and hung up on me. Terrible service! Rude manager/staff! I was a repeat customer but will not be returning.

Went in for a casual lunch and had a great time. The atmosphere was great, service very friendly, and food was delicious. The handwash station on the patio is a thoughtful addition.

This place exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was great but not overcrowded for a Friday night dinner. Fried pickles: Spears came out hot and delicious. Only complaint, was the price (roughly $11 for 6 spears) The kids mac & cheese I would eat, it was a generous portion and it was really good (fully expected generic store bought) My wife had the brisket which was fantastic and I got the shrimp & grits which was equally as delicious. We will definitely be coming back

Well well. I’m very impressed. I will return here to get the cornbread 🤤 the Mac and cheese 🤤 and their sweet tea. I wish they had okra 😢 but it’s all good. I’ve tried the shrimp and grits and I wasn’t that impressed but overall the customer service is 5 stars ⭐️!!! The manager took my shrimp and grits off my receipt because he saw that I didn’t eat a lot of it and wanted me to have a great experience!!! That kind of virtue has really been missing in the world and this is why they get five stars and recommendations from me ! Please visit if you’re a southerner like me because they may have some items from my home state beat (I’m sorry, Roll Tide, though 🤷🏾‍♀️)!!! Enjoy 😉

Amazing Brussels. Perfect amount cooked, and truely creative seasoning. The key lime was a delight, particularly the crust. Atmosphere made me feel perfectly at home. 6 distinctly different sauces. Waiter, kindly young gentleman with a manly beard, was impeccable. Sincere, down to earth, perfect amount of social. Would absolutely recommend. Next time I'll be ordering the brisket or pulled pork sandwich.

Between the prices, and the ambience & is flavors, it's a real taste of home. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. Add to that the location doesn't look like a place out of a Hawaii Vacation Brochure and it's the perfect spot to eat for a feel of the South.

We did take out with the trash can buffet. It was pretty good, not the best. This was our second time trying it again.

More of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant, but still has really good crab legs and good food! And good drinks! Washing station for your hands after eating the crab too! Partially outside and mostly inside, it's a great place all around.

We moved here from Florida, so we miss the southern comfort food. This place does pretty well in re-creating those dishes. I got the country fried steak and could tell it was breaded right before served. The gravy wasn't my favorite, but my wife loved it. Everyone's got a preference on country gravy. But it was oh so nice to have good mac salad again. All the mac salad I have got on th island so far is drowning in mayo. This mac salad was awesome. The reason it got 5 stars for me though is the sweet tea. That was how sweet tea should be. When you get done with a glass, you should feel regret for how much sugar you ingested, but at the same time you want a bottomless glass because you're sure there are addictive drugs mixed in.

First time visiting, plenty of parking, hostess was friendly, ordered the country fried steak with sausage gray, mashers and gravy and Brussels sprouts for the sides and a key lime pie for desert. While waiting for my food, ordered a roasted lemonade. The fry on the country fried steak was crisp, the steak was a little tough for my liking, but still could be cut with plastic wear. The sausage gravy has good spice to it. The mashers were rich and creamy and wasn't mashed completely so you knew it was home made. I normally don't order Brussel sprouts, but I am glad I did, they had a good char to them and seasoned well. The sweet sauce on it counterbalanced the natural bitterness of the Brussel sprouts. The roasted lemonade had an nice tang with a bit of smokeyness that complimented the entire meal. The key lime pie had the right amount of pucker and the pie crust was crunchy and sweet to add that needed texture. The atmosphere seemed decent though I didn't stay, maybe next time I'll dine in.

If delicious food is all you care about welcome home! The BBQ is world class and the country fried steak and mashed potatoes will make you slap your grandma. If you want great service and a sterile environment I'd steer clear. The old one on Ward had a much cozier feel even though it was opened by garage doors all around it. The remaining one by Pearl Ridge is more like a bar that has food and servers fight to keep up while the floor manager walks around oblivious to the sinking ship.

During times of Covid staff needs to be a little more friendly to a family of 6 trying to give business to establishments. Right away they told us they couldn't seat us and we mentioned that other places were sitting us at two different tables to satisfy the rule of tables no larger than 5. Immediately we were told that they couldn't do that and they had the right to refuse service to us. The clerk got the manager as if we were trying to be disruptive and the manager said we could all sit at a table since it was only two adults with kids. After that anxiety ridden couple minutes exchange we were all seated together and had a super nice waitress and delicious food. Had the experience at the door been better I would have rated 5 stars.

My wife and I both had fish and chips. Maybe other things are good but probably the worst fish I have ever had. The cod wasn't completely cooked. Fries were below average but at least edible. Hopefully this was just a bad day that can blame on covid.

Just discovered this place. My food was delicious. The Mai Tai is huge and tasty, but could use a bit more liquor in my opinion.

We have been wanting to try this place for months as the parking lot is always packed and it looks like it would be great for BBQ and seafood. Service was great and the inside had a local feel reminding me of the Carolinas. Here is what we ordered and what we thought. Beer, good and cold. Buffalo wings were cold and overly breaded. Oysters on a half shell were HUGE, non grainy and flavorful. 2 different hamburgers could be seasoned all the way through. Meat was bland due to this and could've been a better cut (not soft), crab was water logged, served chilled, some parts were dry and seemed like it had been cooked and left out. Probably the worst crab legs I have ever had. My daughter had the chicken tenders and fries. Chicken was nicely breaded and my 5 year old liked it. Fries all around were undercooked and not seasoned what so ever. We may go back another time to try other menu items but my husband isn't a fan and I may run over solo to give this place a 2nd chance. Def better BBQ and seafood on the island.

We stopped in randomly for lunch at 11 as soon as they opened. I was happy to see sweet tea on the menu. It was delicious...real southern sweet tea. We got the frickles- fried pickles and they were delicious! I got the pickle brined fried chicken sandwich with mac and cheese and my husband got the Philly brisket with mac salad. Both were huge and tasted good! Would definitely come back!!

This is a great watering hole for happy hour drinks. The food has gotten better over the years, but is still not up to a great standard of BBQ. It is fairly good for Hawaii BBQ. However, the drink specials are fantastic for every day of the week.

If you're looking for bbq do not miss this restaurant. The beef ribs are smoked well you can taste it. The coleslaw is ok but the mash is good 🤤. For an appetizer the fried calamari is best choice.

They want to charge 4.50 for a takeout sweet tea and not even fill it all the way up when you ask for no ice but when the store is open a tea for dinner is the same price and it’s refillable. I can tell how cheap and poorly built this establishment is because sugar, water and tea leaves are hard to spare. I was charged a total of $10.19 for two ounce of grits and sweet tea. Absolute trash and over priced. Pitiful excuse of a country restaurant. This was my 3rd time here and I am let down every time I come here. Worst food on the Island.

  • 5/5 Ashley W. 3 years ago on Google
Great food, great sauce options and country music to keep it fun! Do yourself a favor and get an arnold palmer ( half tea/ hale lemonade), and try the fried pickle spears!

(Translated by Google) I heard that it is a very popular store in the local area. The friendly staff will provide you with a wonderful burger that you can't taste in Japan! It was also fresh that you can use 6 kinds of original sauces as you like. Of course all are delicious. Once the corona has subsided, I would like to visit with my family next time.
