We had an amazing experience at the Bannerghatta zoo. Among many zoos and bio parks we've visited in India, this was the most well maintained. The Safari and Butterfly park were really amazing. All animals have been taken good care of. There is ample parking space at the zoo. Management has taken necessary measures to ensure multiple washrooms and drinking water stations are available to visitors. It is advisable to book the tickets for the zoo and Safari online to skip the queue at the ticketing counter which can be very long during weekends and holidays.

The safari ride is Excellent deer, elephants, lions, tigers and white tigers are also there. But maintenance is not great. Online ticketing is not working on public holidays the crowd is more and I have to wait in Q for a long time it's better to go in the morning than afternoon/later. For safari ride charges are 300/- and zoo entry 100/- A lot of birds are there Giraffe, Donkeys, Hippopotamus, Sambar deer, crocodiles, Fox, Hyena, monkeys, Baboons, Leopard, Snakes, turtles, tortoise etc.. Best place to spend a 1 day trip.

Kids will love it. It's highly recommended to visit the park at earliest as most animals will be active. As time progresses animals tend to be inside the den/cage or rest under shelters. You get to see them active post 3 PM. The best time to see wild carnivores is early during the day or early in the evening. In between you may plan to visit other animals. You also get to go boating. Paddle boat costs ₹200 for 2 members, ₹400 for 4 people, for a 30 min session. In addition there is another option available, a Row boat which they take you for a ride around for 8-10 min and costs ₹50 per person. Life jackets are available and are mandatory. There are some renovations going on near the hippopotamus area. A couple of cages which had wild animals before are now empty. Overall it's a good place for kids to enjoy and spend some time with family and kids in nature. Here are some of the photos which i managed to click...

The safari was excellent. I will give 5 stars for the safari. With a good driver it is well worth the trip in a Jeep Safari. Most of the drivers are very good tour guides. One of them was very ill tempered. Other than that it's really good. The zoo is also well kept in recent years. However there is still room for improvement.nfor the zoo I will give 3.stars, hence my 4 star rating overall.

Amazing zoo. They have kept animals so good that is well understood from their health. Most of the animals can be viewed without the disturbance of nets so that you can take their photos. The exotic bird collection is really amazing. A must watch place to visit with your kids. PS. Watch out for monkeys. Even though they are given separate space, you will find them everywhere 😉

One of the best place in Bangalore to plan a trip with family and friends. Zoo have safari available with bus an private vehicle. Safari mostly include animals like deer, elephant, beer, Lion and Tiger. There are waiting time for safari ride.

Great place to visit with friends and family. One day is enough for completing all three places. The combination of National Park Safari, Zoo, and Butterfly Park is amazing. Various animals like lions, tigers, bears, elephants,s, and deer are available for Safari. Safety measures are taken perfectly. Viewers can enjoy the ride with safety measures. Usually very crowded during weekends and public holidays. If you really want to enjoy and clear view of animals with less crow visit on Tuesday's or Wednesday's. Choose an AC bus, you will have a clear view of the Safari and Animals.

A must visit place with children. The zoo is well maintained. The safari is really worthy. The guides are very helpful. There are info boards on all the animals in the zoo which is nice. The butterfly park is also amazing. It takes a very long time to cover the whole place. So best to visit in the morning.

We had an amazing experience here. Kid enjoyed a lot. Fantastic maintenance and friendly staffs Things we enjoyed a lot: 1. Lion Safari was the best. We went there in AC bus, the view was very nice as there was no mesh attached in the window. Bus driver ensured the best view possible by steering the vehicle. Really appreciate his efforts, he was very friendly and told many good stories about the Safari. 2. Tiger Safari, Bear Safari was good. In herbivore safari, enjoyed seeing herd of elephants. 3. My kid enjoyed the butterfly park as we have a playing area for kids and it was well maintained. Inside the butterfly park, ambience was very nice. That sound of the falls water, fish pool, butterflies flying here in there was very calming. Date of visit: On Independence Day Time of visit: Reached the place at 9 AM itself Recommendations: 1. Tickets should be booked prior through official website well before the visit. To avoid delay in getting tickets 2. Enter the safari waiting area as soon as possible. They allowed us at 9:30 am and 9:45 am we boarded the safari 3. AC bus safari is preferable as you can get the best view possible 4. Post safari, you can visit the butterfly park as it is near the safari area and then you can head to Zoo 5. Best to plan the visit on weekdays to avoid crowd 6. Best time to enter the safari is morning 10AM or post 3 PM. During these times animals are active and you can see them walking briskly here and there and staring at you wildly. We really missed White tigers. In 2017, one of the white tiger was killed by Bengal tigers as it accidentally went into the laters territory. Recently on July, 2022 one white tiger died because of infection and renal failure it seems.

Always a place which I happily visit every single time. We went in noon but we were able to complete safari and zoo as well. This park is very clean and well maintained. There are information boards about every animal and bird. Must visit place for everyone of every age. We booked ticket online instantly, it is a real time saver. We had to wait for a long time to get into safari vehicle. There is a small museum in the zoo. Butterfly Park is also good. Price we pay to visit is so less compared to the animals we see there. There is ample amount of paid parking space.

This is a great place for families to spend at least 2-3 hours! It is fun for both adults and children alike! The Wildcat safari is very fun and we spotted lots of Wildcats! We had a private Jeep for Rs 3500 and the guide was extremely knowledgeable! The butterfly park is beautifully maintained and has many species of rare butterflies! The overall grounds of the entire park is very well-maintained. The children had a great time not only on the Safari, but also in the playground. It is a great getaway from the maddening crowd, but get there early because it gets very busy during the day. Our safari was the first one in the morning and we ran into no crowds and we were able to see lots of wild animals.

Good experience. Please choose Ac safari over non-ac because you’ll have amazing view and the transparent glass allows you to click good pictures. One can skip butterfly park if the time is limited. Prefer mornings over noon, as the chances to spot animals in safari/zoo is more in mornings. Boating was decent. Overall, a well-maintained place and good treat to the eyes for nature lover souls out there.

Good Place. I have been to this place multiple times. They have upgraded a lot in last 10 years. Post Covid you can now book tickets online bas well and you don't have to stand in the queue. Over weekend and holidays around 11 am or later this place becomes a mess. It gets super crowded. Don't even expect to get a parking on Sundays. This place is great for kids because they like watching animals again and again otherwise it gets a little boring after sometime for adults. They have good variety of animals, lot of great facilities. Kudos to the management for handling it well.

I had gone for Rs. 600 per head AC bus, which included the safari, zoo, butterfly garden and allowed to use professional camera(which I don't have). Now post journey, I can tell that I liked the safari. Not too over the top but good and the travel within an AIR conditioned vehicle, was topnotch. As it had limited seating than a cramping local tour bus had, which was packed. But, if you are looking to save money. You can opt out of Butterfly Garden by taking the normal bus and pay additional for the camera. Because I have seen the butterfly Gardens within the country and abroad. This one has nothing and this is because how the environment is setup for the butterflies. Along with an open window(metaphor) for the butterflies to fly away... so that was, totally a waste of money. Zoo was also good to a certain extend, but the annoying part was the placement of each animal. Because there was a lot of confusion as to which direction should we move about, inside the zoo. The map internally placed were also incorrect, hence it was a challenge to move around the zoo itself.

Best enjoyable place for kids to see wild animals in their environment. Take a wild safari and kids surely love it even adults. Well maintained safari trip. Try in weekdays to avoid over crowd.best for a day trip within Bangalore. They have a good variety of species in Open Zoo also. Not big as Mysure but still good to see. Tuesdays are closed.

Visited multiple times, Zoo experience: Nicely maintained, it's very neat and clean considering the footfall. There are a lots of animals, birds, insects. It will be a lots of fun and educational trip specially for kids. Safari: Worth trying once, if you are visiting in a group of 4-5 consider booking a jeep. Zoo has good public amenities (water, washrooms), and there is a cafeteria outside. Start early to avoid crowd and afternoon sun. Note: It was digitalized long back and tickets could be booked online, but online booking facility was not working recently. Hope this get fixed soon. Overall, good option for a day outing.

Bannerghatta National Park is a national park in India, located near Bangalore, Karnataka. It was founded in 1970 and declared as a national park in 1974. In 2002 a portion of the park, became a biological reserve, the Bannerghatta Biological Park. Very good place for hangout, time pass. A good place for children and families. Tickets is just 80/- for adult and 40/- for children for a whole day enjoyment. Also you can go to online website for E-TICK. Many Animals, birds, reptiles etc. are there. Plastic is completely prohibited here, don't use it. Try to buy the ticket online as it will save the hassle. Best time to visit the place is in winter when the weather is mellow. Tiger and lion enclosures and open air elephant and giraffe enclosures are a must watch. Food options inside the zoo is however limited so plan accordingly. Don't expect social distancing norms to be followed inside so it's better to keep your mask on at all times and sanitize often to ensure your own safety. If you found this helpful then please hit the like button and follow me for more reviews about travel , food, shopping centers and many other. Thank you.

You can see clearly all types of animals Like Tiger , Bear ,loin, crocodile, ostrich, giraffe and Butterfly museum etc. Park is perfectly full maintain ,plastic free environment and beautifully cleaned . Feeding the animals & Littering in the park is strictly prohibited. you can observe the animals in their natural habitat. You can take food but plastic is prohibited so I will recommend you not to take package food . The cost of the grand safari with the zoo entrance fee is also reasonable. must visit place with family and friends. One full day will be required for visiting the park.

Well maintained National Park. Easy to reach via road by Car. Online ticket booking option is available. Multi package option is available. Non AC Bus Safari with Zoo is best. Ticket per adult is 300 and kid is 150. Safari was awesome. We saw almost all the animals listed in the board. Best entertainment for Kids and families. Buses are maintained very well. Weekdays is best to avoid crowd. Zoo map is a perfect guide. There is a option to take small car for 100, but we walked. We enjoyed the climate by walking seeing all the animals. They are very much visible and zoo is well maintained with lot of trees around with all the names and medical purpose written on the board. Details about all the animals are written with complete details. Would recommend everyone to visit this with your family without fail.

Place is too good to go You will found all animals which is not easily visible if we go some other national park. Recommended to use non AC bus inside for better pictures and feel. I found many animals over there. Pictures attached with entry slip. Tuesday remain closed Sat and sun heavy rush Preferable time to start 9:30-10am

The zoo is well maintained. It's surprisingly better than what I expected it to be. The number and variety of animals is truly surprising. Got to see ostrich, emu, king cobra, hippos, variety of birds and many more. Was lucky to see the lion up close. My experience with the safari was not great. The non AC bus safari was done in 30 mins, with the bus not waiting for enough time, it should provide 1 hr as per what is written everywhere. Also avoid the afternoon time for visit as most animals would be relaxing and be sitting in shade. You would need a quality camera.

The safari in the non-ac bus lasted only for 40 minutes. I see it but pricey considering they charge 400/- per person. They can increase the time duration and show more animals. Butterfly park was awesome.

Overall very good experience with staff from entrance, to zeep safari, to restaurant and exit. Social distancing being implemented very nicely and good cleanliness maintained. Very polite staff and helpful. Yet a few who won't listen to what is being asked. At entrance, counter folks will help you to book tickets online. There is counter to buy tickets as well. INR 3500 jeep safari charges worth the time and guided tour takes you about an hour. Animals are being kept nicely and tour to herbivores and carnivores sections one by one. We could click some very good pictures and spent half day easily. Not much choices at restaurant at this time which is understandable but was hot and fresh. Post safari we strolled in the zoo and could manage to click cool pictures. Parakeets were the ones making most noise along with occasional growls etc. Nice time spent with family. Less crowd owing to COVID. Good greenery maintained inside and outside. By and large, people following social distancing except for few, we know who 😀

The Safari experience is a must and worth the fare. The food would be better if brought from home. Very happy with maintenance and arrangements at the park.Absolutely thrilling experience to watch animals in their natural habitat. It was treat to spend time amidst nature and feast one's eyes with the view of wild cats, exquisite birds and numerous other flora and fauna. Also the bus driver will help you take photos but ask you for tip when you return. The bus safari feels very short (25-30 min). ticket is 350rs for zoo and safari

This is one of good places to spend good time with your family especially if you have kids. Kids would surely love to go and see different animals there. Overall a neatly Maintained place with wide variety of animals. It has housed a Zebra family and a giraffe among many other animals. With frequent changes in the layout of the zoo it sometimes becomes difficult to see the animals. Like when we visited the spotted deer enclosure was behind mouse deer and barking deer enclosure so they could only be seen from much far away. There used to be many animals before corona, however after corona the number of animals seems to have reduced. Further a nice snack and ice cream shops used to be there near birds enclosure which also seems to be gone or let go. It contains one restaurant inside the zoo premises however, I would suggest to take your own home cooked food. One thing which I liked very much was the boat ride, it is really worth the money and a memorable experience. The fountain in the middle of the boating pond sprays cooling mist to keep you chilled even in the summer time.

For a convenient route to the zoo, avoid alighting at Bannerghatta Circle and instead, opt for a bus directly to the zoo. The safari ride, priced at approximately 400 rupees for a 15-minute journey showcasing 4-5 animals, is a notable attraction. This ticket also grants access to the zoo itself. While the butterfly park is an option, it may not offer substantial value for the visit. Allocate 2-3 hours to thoroughly enjoy the diverse array of animals in the well-maintained zoo. Caution is advised regarding monkeys, known to snatch personal belongings. Entry to the zoo is reasonably priced at around 50 rupees. To make the most of your visit, consider starting in the morning, allowing ample time to explore the expansive zoo grounds. Despite the monkey caution, the zoo promises a fulfilling experience, especially when approached with a morning start and an awareness of your belongings.

Took my kids to this zoo, booked entrance and parking tickets online as per my convenient slot. Completely safe and must visit with family for a day outing on weekends. If possible prefer to walk and cover the complete zoo so that you can spend enough time else if you are preferring safari or electric vehicle then they have limited timing to wait at each place. Still choice is yours if in case you have elderly persons in your family who can't walk long distances. First visit, Huge zoo, full greenery. Loved it 😍

The Bannergatta national park is an amazing experience. The Safari is an amazing experience. The national park is good way of protecting this wildlife from poachers. The Safari includes animals like bison, deer, black buck, bears, tigers, lions, white tiger, royal Bengal tiger. The price of the bus safari is Rs. 300 per head and Non AC jeep is Rs. 3500 for 5 people . I feel these are the best 2 options to have an exciting tour of the national park. The jeeps windows can be rolled down and Excellent photography can be done.

The zoo has a great collection of animals, including rare species like white tigers and lions. However, the quality of food inside the zoo could be improved. Overall, it was a great day out for animal lovers and families alike, with plenty of attractions to keep everyone entertained.

It was good experience, better to go with online bookings, we booked personal van, but I see the AC bus option is also good. Only that you have go there and stand in a queue for bus. Plan to go in morning time ,best to reach around 9-10am... Have enough parking in early hours... There is 🦋 butterfly park also, can watch before zoo and safari just 30-45 min enough for it.

It's good for a one day outing. You can closely see many animals in the safari. Should definitely take young kids here as it'll be really fascinating for them. I liked the Aviary the best here as the birds were really beautiful. Also, butterfly park has a lot of different types of butterflies that can be seen, but only in a particular season.

The zoo is well maintained, animals look healthy and you can clearly see them. The safari was really worth. The jeep/car safari is recommended for family as you get the complete vehicle for yourself. The driver was good, patiently stopping the vehicle where required so that we can see the animals clearly. The restaurant needs to be improved. Overall park is really well maintained.

Great experience. If it's your first time visiting this place, I would suggest you pre book your safari ride, that way you can avoid waiting in long queues for tickets and get a ride of your choice., jeep/van. Unlike our preconceptions, we actually got to see them wild animals, in their natural habitat. The place is well maintained. The animals seem to be well taken care of. Its kid friendly. They do have stalls for some light snacks, Boat riding facilities, a butterfly part /museum too. There is a zoo too, with more beautiful creations of god. Must visit atleast once.

Nice place for kids. Obviously crowded on weekends, but manageable. Zoo had fewer animals than before not sure of the reason. Safari is a good experience for kids, the driver keeps commenting in 5 different languages. Butterfly park is good, could have been better if they had different enclosures for different types of butterflies. The guards there let you hold the largest butterfly or a caterpillar, and ask for tips which is unfair to the creatures.

Worth visiting the place for kids. Kids will enjoy and loves the zoo park environment. But it's over crowded during weekends. It's hard to find parking also. Ticket counters, safari are all over crowded and it takes 2-3 hours if you go for safari. And they are not accepting UPI payments. People with infants please avoid going on weekends. Need to take appropriate measures during weekends to filter the crowd. We left in the middle due to crowd and not able to enjoy the views.

🦚🤩 Amazing, just thrilled by the experience. It was just awesome. Exciting place to visit and enjoy the wildlife. The Zoo is really good ,that it will make your day memorable. There is nothing wrong the area is maintained properly and the animals too. The animals and birds are perfect in their natural habitat.😍 😍 You can either walk almost 2km or you will also get electric car here. Good collection of animals and birds. The construction of the total area or design is very exciting. The cage where the animals are kept is very nice to see. The entry fee only to zoo is inexpensive.😁

Park is ideal for kids and family. Decent crowd and systematic crowd management adds value We went on A/c bus safari @ 650/- per adult and 400/-rs per kid. I say its worth going with kids to see their excitement. Driver was friendly who clicked nice pics for us. Safari duration is about an hour. Carry only liquids - juices and water to avoid monkey's attention.

Bannerghatta safari is one of a kind. It's awesome and worth every penny. We took a day package at jungle lodges and resort and it cost us 1416 per head. It has a safari, zoo and butterfly park tickets included in it. The food in the day toor (lunch) was good. The quality could have been better, but then no complaints as the ambience added up to all the misses.

It is one time watch and can spent time here with children. Public buses to this route are easily available even can take a car to reach this destination. This is protected forest where you can enjoy tiger, beer, elephant, deer lion and birds. You can opt for bus Safari however expect a huge crowd waiting especially on weekends. In bus Safaris you have Ac and non Ac options and they even provide jeep safari ( 6 seater). With the combo of zoo, safari and butterfly park. In safari ride the driver stops at each point and show the animals and can click pictures at that time. At the end of safari ride they will drop you near butterfly park where you can see thousands of butterflies with different colors and size. I enjoyed butterfly park. If you have luck butterflies may rest in your hands or face. Photography is allowed. Timings: Zoo - 9.30 am to 5.30 pm Safari timings - 10.00 am to 4.30 pm Every Tuesday Holiday

I was pretty much excited to see the hippopotamus as this is the first time I'm ever seeing them. But the animals were just sleeping throughout. Don't know if it's because the animals were tired or if it's because of the climate. I managed to record a few videos of the animals although you need to observe them very closely if not they wouldn't look like hippos only. Ignore the audio please.

I had been to this place over a year back in March'19, just for their much advertised tiger safari. I was not really impressed with the safari. Unlike safaris in many other National parks, the animals are actually in closed spaces and can be easily seen, albeit not in a natural setting. They are mostly sleeping or lying about here and there. They are faar away from the over-priced closed vehicles in which the visitors are packed into without sufficient elbow room to click pictures. Generally not a good experience

To all the wild animal lovers go to Bannerghatta biological park and enjoy your day outing. There are various animals and bird species here to look for and capture photos. Children will have a great time. I will recommend all the parents to take their children to Bannerghatta biological park. The only cons is limited food options.

Using BMTC pass is best for economical way to reach. Better buy tickets through online, queue will be more in ticket counter. First go for safari, otherwise crowd will increase. Then try butterfly park (₹50) and zoo (₹260 for zoo n safari)

I visited the park after 20 years on a weekend.I was happy with the cleanliness and crowd management. Visitors themselves were well behaved and weren't troubling animals or dirtying the surroundings. Only thing that can be implemented is doing covid checks which was missing. Secondly, the wild animals were least interested and tried to stay away from humans as much as possible by standing far away in their allocated area, which was a bit disappointing..but we can't change an animal's choices, can we?

Wow, just wonderful place to escape from buzzing city life and have real time with nature and animals. Now you know where to spend your pleasant evenings. Safari was a great experience. If you just got couple of hours and want to spend time with animals. Ideal time to visit is around 3pm and go for a safari and visit the zoo. Surprisingly safari ticket is Valid for zoo entry too. Double bonanza with single ticket. Keep visiting the zoo and safe animals

Great place to visit with friends and family. One day is enough for completing all the three places. The combination of National Park Safari, Zoo and Butterfly Park is amazing. You will get to see almost all animals and their information with lots of eatery options. They have a dedicated parking for the visitors. The entry fee is not too high, though they have a different rates for weekdays and weekends. There's a BMTC bus stop as well just beside the main date.

Visit this time has brought back my childhood memories! Plan to visit early in morning around 9.30 so you can spend time in safari and later in zoo, butterfly park is an additional place could be covered. Book tickets online so you can avoid queue in ticket counter. Safari has options such as jeep, ac and non ac bus, you can choose as per your preference. Expect a waiting time for safari, could be more on weekends and during public holidays.

I can confidently say this is the only place I've been where a ₹250 safari ticket got me a chance to view like at least 5 different animals in the wild. Ultimate bang for the buck 😂 (The animals are all in separate zones or enclosures in the forest area so there's a 0% chance that you'll miss them. There's no luck factor at play here) The zoo itself has been upgraded very well in the past few years. The enclosures are very open now and the animals seem to be in good physical condition. It's a once in a while visit to just look at these animals in the flesh. I am sure it would be very fascinating for kids however.

Visited the zoo and butterfly park. We went on a safari also. I liked both the zoo and the safari. Safari took about 1hr, but there are few animals. I felt it was fun while visiting the reptiles and birds division in the zoo. There is also boat riding available, I enjoyed it. We saw regular butterflies only at Butterfly Park, but the ambience was nice. There is also swinging etc. type of fun activities for kids to play and enjoy a lot. There is also a museum of animals. There is also a hotel for food, prices are reasonable and the taste is not bad. Overall it was a nice experience.

It also has a restaurant inside. The entry fee for adults is Rs 100 and for kids is Rs 50. Overall a nice place to enjoy with kids. Pro tip: Book tickets online as you may find queue at in premise ticket counter over the weekends.

Its a lovely place to spend a day outing with your family and friends, but be prepared there will be crowd on weekend so you might have to wait for the safari. There they have a zoo where you can spend some time and also the jungle safari. There are small eatable joints also at the starting of the park where you can munch on . It has good connectivity for cabs and also the bus stop is just adjacent to it.

Overall good experience. Rented a AC jeep for safari and we were able to see animals much more closely . Park is well maintained and discipline is enforced at most of the places. Zoo is good but crowded a lot. Butterfly park is not of much an interest to see as we can't see any of them flying around . Overall an good experience. P.S parking is a big scam there . Suggest to get an online parking ticket and park.at their own parking. Private people will loot money.

People have buggies to roam around the park which is a huge relief for old people and people who go with kids. Better to book tickets online for the safari before hand for a hassle free experience.

Bannerughatta National Park is a national park in India, located near Bangalore, Karnataka. It was founded in 1970 and declared as a national park in 1974.[1] In 2002, a small portion of the park became a zoological garden, the Bannerghatta Biological Park.[2]There are ancient temples in the park for worship and it is a destination for trekking and hiking. Good for half-day trip with Family and Friends. Safari is the main attraction. Website is well designed and you will find all information from there. It used to be closed on Tuesday. If you are going for Safari, try to take front seat (beside Driver) so that you can capture from all three sides. Safari drivers are very humble and helpful. They know where to stop and they will try to provide you best view. On request drivers will take photos from their window.

That was amazing. Kids enjoyed a lot, Ac bus / non ac safari bus available. Better to go with one ticket for Safari bus / Zoo / Butterfly park. You won’t have to come back for ticket counter then. Counter gets crowded by afternoon. Best time reach 9 - 10 Am you need almost entire day to roam around peacefully. Electric buggies availabe at a reasonable price. Lunch was at Jungle restaurant opposite 🦒 house 😄 neat reasonable lunch.

This is the third time i have been there and after 10 years, i would say the maintenance is not the same as before and it's too crowded on Sundays. Better time is to visit on weekdays. And best time to go for safari is before noon, since it becomes hot by noon and the animals will be seen mostly sleeping under the shade after being fed in the morning. There is nothing great about the butterfly park as there aren't many butterflies to see and you can skip it.

This place is must go. All animals treated well and their territories nicely maintained. People are asked to follow the rules continuously. Well ventilated place with lots of trees - You don't feel tired while walking at noon also. Everywhere guidelines and instructions are given. There is a safari with options of bus (entry fee rs380 pp) , ac bus, jeep, ac SUV. The zoo (entry fee 100 pp) has options of walking or to catch the battery operated bus which consists of 6-8 people. Tickets price are less compared to the other zoos in India. And the price is too less for the variety of animals you get to see there. Some of the attractions - White Tiger, White Peacock, Crocodile, Macaques, The great Hornbill, Jackals, Leopard family, Hippos, King Cobra, Python, etc. There is a butterfly garden inside which has entry fee of only 50rs pp. Kids as well as Adults would love this place. They seem to be keen about improving the zoo areas as well. Only in in the reptiles area there was a loose cage which seems dangerous but the officials said it's not possible for snakes to reach out.

During my visit to Bannerghatta Safari, I was immersed in the beauty of nature and wildlife. The safari offered a diverse range of animals and landscapes that left me in awe. From majestic tigers to graceful elephants, the park truly showcases the richness of wildlife in the region. One of the highlights was the safari ride itself. I hopped on a well-guided tour vehicle that took me through different sections of the park, allowing me to observe animals in their natural habitats. The infrastructure and facilities at Bannerghatta Safari were top-notch. The park was well-maintained, and safety measures were in place to ensure the well-being of both visitors and animals. To add to the wonderful experience, the park's location is just a short distance from Bangalore city, making it easily accessible for day trips or weekend getaways. The surrounding natural beauty and serene atmosphere further enhance the overall charm of the place.

Bannerghatta Zoo, nestled within Bannerghatta National Park, offers a wide array of wildlife encounters. The zoo's diverse collection includes various species of mammals, birds, and reptiles, providing an enriching experience for visitors. However, the enclosures for some animals could be more spacious, and the overall infrastructure might benefit from improvements. Despite these concerns, the zoo's commitment to conservation and awareness programs is commendable. It serves as an accessible destination for families and wildlife enthusiasts looking to connect with nature and learn about different species. We can use battery vehicle if someone not able to walk and it is rs. 100 and kids rs. 50.

National park safari ride is awesome. I had taken AC bus safari which is actually a AC tempo Traveller with 20 seats capacity. The vehicle has large windows which gives magnificent view. But the cost for AC safari is a little expensive with Rs650/- per person on weekend and Rs600/- per person on weekday. If you are looking for a lesser price safari, you can choose for non-ac bus. Now the safari ticket gives access to safari, zoo, butterfly park and camera which is good as you do not have to pay additional and come in queue. The safari experience is awesome where you see tiger, lion deer, bear and elephant near your vehicle. The zoo also gives a good experience specially for kids, now in zoo if you are tired you can avail a buggy i.e battery operated vehicle which charges Rs100/- per person and will take you full round of zoo stopping at each animal/bird/mammal viewing points. Good for a family day outing.

This place was billed as a safari to see wild animals by the hotel concierge. Actually, it was a bus ride though a few sections of jungle where you sort of got to see the animals. Not exactly what I was imagining. If you’ve been on a ride through a park and see animals ride, you’ve probably won’t experience anything new here. The zoo part was more interesting and there were monkeys running around all over the place. From center of city it can take 1.5-2 hours to get there, so keep this in mind when deciding to go there.

This is protected forest where you can enjoy tiger, beer, elephant, deer lion and birds. It's standard national park safari experience. We have opted for non AC safari as choosing AC safari won't make much sense. Wouldn't have rated it 4 star if not the majestic white tiger🐯 otherwise it would be a 2-3 star experience considering the price. The problem with safari like this is that if you didn't got the window seat then you wouldn't able to see/spot any animals. And even bigger problem is when you get a window seat people may rush out to your place and ruins your experience 😶😑

It's good to see hippopotamus here in Bannerughatta national park. But it does not look like many of the animals are enjoying the environment here. They seems to be dull as I have observed. When you compare this zoo to Mysore zoo, the animals here look poorer than the animals there. Ticket prices are also costly here.

A must visit place when you are in Bengaluru. The national park has a Zoo, Butterfly park, Animal rescue center, Safari, Snake house etc. You will get to see Tigers, Bears, Elephants etc. The Zoo has a reptile park and a small theater. The environment of the Butterfly park is designed to support different species of butterflies. It has an artificial waterfall and appropriate Flora. The national park is well maintained with parking, drinking water and washroom facilities. It is a one day trip.

It was a very lovely experience. Almost felt like Jurassic park visit. Not many animals but we got to see white tiger and bison apart from the others. The jeep safari driver gave good information. They also have a butterfly park and zoo. We could not see many butterflies though. The zoo was really good with giraffe and zebra and many animals. You can book your safari online to avoid the crowd.

A variety of Mammals, Reptiles and Birds of both exotic and Indian origin comprising 1941 animals belonging to 94 species are displayed in captivity. In addition there is a Museum and an Auditorium for the visitors' education. Most prominent and interesting ones are Thamin deer, Hog deer, King Cobra, Crocodiles, Himalayan black bear, Panthers and various birds. Present extent of Zoo area is 12 Ha and it is under the process of expansion by adding another 28.00 Ha. Eight new enclosures will be constructed in the expansion area.

Good to bring family. Usually too crowded. If you are not getting Safari no problem get Zoo and Butterfly park ticket, that will be enough. Food items inside is limited so better bring own food in plastic free containers. And get online ticket over mail before 3 to 5 days prior visiting. 2 wheeler will be more helpful to reach

A lot has been changed since my last visit and I can say a postive intended staff than before. I was happy to see the greenery kept within the range and also development of fencing and other architectures. I would want to see the stalls outside to be much eco friendly. Talking about the inside Zoo experience then definitely decently maintained with restrooms all around. Adequate space for parking too. Definitely try the safari if you can, one will experience the best of nature and wildlife. Adult ticket for Zoo is Rs.100/- and safari is Rs.300/-. Also do visit the butterfly park which is Rs.50/- for an adult individual. Kindly use the bins provided and not litter anything. And the most important thing will be to escort children and see to that they don't throw plastics or feed animals. Be a responsible citizen and guide the people around to follow the same.

We had the family trip to national park.It was very crowded due to Dussehra festival but safari/zoo staff managed very nicely. We had booked online ticket for Safari and zoo. Completed the Safari with in 1 hour and saw Lion, Lioness, Bengal Tiger, White Tiger and Tigress, Elephant , Black Bear and Deer. Main attraction was Fully grown Bengal tiger and Lion. After that we went to see the zoo , lots of wild animals are there including some human animal ( just kidding) .... Parking and food stall are outside zoo. You can carry your bags in zoo/safari. It was totally fun day for us.

The people who visit for the first time. It's good and best place to spend . The people who are looking for a wildlife photography and good safari ride .I would not suggest much. The best time to visit the Bannerghatta is morning . First complete your safari and start the zoo walk and explore the wild animals. Cost details are in the picture attached . Please keep the place clean. Do not carry any plastic bag .

A lovely place to explore and visit of you are in and around Bangalore but don't have high expectations/hope this place is not well maintained and Animals look weak and tired. They staff is good and the very helpful but they need to improve the quality of food being provided and maintenance as most of these animals are adopted by many well known people. There are not many animals to explore and many cages are empty. Visit with your friends and family and avoid feeding the animals or teasing them

A fun, Exciting and high quality National park. . I will never forget the most magnificent sight of seeing a giant butterfly flying around me. A giant bear wrestling with its mates and Exciting safari driving you thru this whole area. There were some quiet places, great spots for picnic. I suggest booking a jeep safari for more thrilling experience before hand.

Amazing experience...Go for Safari, where you have an opportunity to witness the wild animals very closely. Do the bookings online in advance from their website. Recommended to carry your own food, however you have some options available outside the zoo. Well maintained zoo, boating is not available from last 2 years or so... Kids will enjoy...do carry sunglasses, caps and lots of hydration....

Deer, bear, Royal Bengal tiger, white tiger, lion, and elephant can be seen during safari. AC/Non AC Bus and Jeeps are available for safari. Zoo and butterfly park are other attraction of Bannerghatta. This National park has ample parking space. Public convenience, drinking water and food stalls are also there.

Pretty good biological park also known as national park. One and half hour journey from the Bangalore city depending on the traffic. It is well maintained. Since, when I visited it was summer, most of the places look dry. Yet good care is taken in maintaining the animals and park as well. There is entry fee for both park and the Safari. You can spend about 2 to 5 hours depending on you availability.

Zoo charge for adults is 100 and for Safari its 350. Different varieties of animals can be seen there, those are well protected in caves/cages.

This is a great place for families to spend. It is fun for both adults and children alike! The Wildcat safari is very fun and we spotted lots of Wildcats! We had a private Jeep for Rs 4500 and the guide was extremely knowledgeable! The butterfly park is beautifully maintained and has many species of rare butterflies! The overall grounds of the entire park is very well-maintained. The children had a great time not only on the Safari. Our safari was the first one in the morning and we ran into no crowds and we were able to see lots of wild animals.

Nice zoo with variety of animals. Should take 2-3 hours if covering by walk. Good for families with kids. Lots of snack shops outside zoo. Zoo has adequate rest rooms and water spots. Only one restaurant outside zoo and maintained pretty average. Could create more dining options. Recommend to book tickets in advance to avoid the crowd; the queue could be 30 mins to 1 hr to buy tickets itself. Crowd maximizes around noon and better to plan for morning visit on weekends.

Bannerghatta National Park and Zoo is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Bangalore. This sprawling park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including tigers, lions, bears, and elephants, as well as a variety of bird and reptile species. Zoo is also good place rather than butterfly park costs ₹100 . Battery vehicle available with limited service costs ₹100 for quick visit of zoo. I would suggest you to go on walk to see all the animals. Safari ride is available both AC and NON AC. They take you to reserve forest to see all the wild animals survive like discovery channel. The park also features a butterfly enclosure, which is a must-visit for nature lovers. The enclosure is home to over 20 species of butterflies, and visitors can watch them flutter around and learn about their life cycle and behavior. For those interested in wildlife conservation, the park offers a number of educational programs and initiatives to learn more about the efforts to protect endangered species. And for families traveling with kids, the park also has a children's corner, with a range of interactive exhibits and activities to keep young visitors entertained and engage

I absolutely enjoyed this place! Those who love being in nature and adore animals will sure love this place....it is a huge area to cover inside so choose a cloudy day or a winter day for your visit. You must do both the Safari and the zoo visit both of which are extremely enjoyable, especially if you are with your friends or family. You can choose the bus trip(AC or non-AC), or the jeep trip. The zoo is very close to the Banerghatta bus stop, and you can buy snacks from there. If you are visiting during winters, you will be lucky to spot a lot of animals during your safari as they will come out to soak in the Sun. Make sure you visit this place if you are in Bangalore😁😉.

It is quite a nice place to visit with family or friends! The safari happens to be the best part! You get to see wild animals from real close! However, the number of animals is quite small. When it is being called a national park, I do think they should be able to maintain more animals! The zoo is pretty well maintained; with all the animals any typical zoo would have! Ticket cost is also not very high!

Transformation has begun. Money is being invested. There are ups and downs so saw many old and fat people having difficulty going up. Once you reach the animals then it's all on the plane surface. There are battery operated vehicles charging some money. The eateries inside has been removed only one govt run hotel is there whose service is abysmal. You can carry your own food inside. Exit is near the cages now.

This place has a zoo and safari rides. The safari rides are nice as one gets an opportunity to observe the wild animals in their natural habitat. The buses are pretty cramped up but it makes up for the visit and the view it offers. It is an amazing experience specially for the kids who can see the nature in its pristine glory. A nice family outing.

This place is totally appropriate for a weekend outing. It is present in the outskirts of Bangalore. The rate chart of the rides is displayed there only. I took ₹350/head ride which includes a ticket that permitted me to go in a Safari in an non-AC bus and the zoo as well. I felt the Safari tour was short but then again in ₹350 we can't expect much. Overall it was a pleasant day combining the Safari and the zoo. For a weekend outing with friends or family this place is recommended.

This place is 30kms away from the busy city. It has collection of exotic and local fauna. The bus safari+ zoo+ butterfly park combo was 400₹. Getting good food is an issue here. Better get own food or the ones parcelled from the city. Went during unlock 3.0. They were maintaining all sanitisation protocols with social distancing. The safari is basically few animals segregated in enclosures. Don't compare it with th other safaris that are actually into the forest . Booking has to be done online even if u reach there.

Visited today (9th August 2020). Couple of things to be kept in mind before you plan your visit. 1. Get online tickets from the website. Tickets are available in combo. For the hus tour including zoo and butterfly museum the cost is 400/- per pax. It is advisable to get thr parking tickets as well. 2. Bring your own food. 3. Without mask entry is not allowed. I was really impressed by the sanitation steps taken, the while bys is disinfected after each ride and hand sanitizers are kept at all places. The place is impeccably maintained and the safari is the main attraction. The zoo is not so great in my opinion.

Park has under gone some extreme makeover as i started walking in i felt myself comparing to the Zoo in Auckland(NZ). A lot of it is because of Infosys Foundation and humble donors . It starts with hassle free online booking (parking + Zoo + Safari + Butterfly park + Camera + Video Camera + Child entry etc ,) , staff dress code. Name plates and security near every major animal with detailed descriptions. Clean railings to avoid people from getting very friendly with Animals. Clean, extremely clean park. Clean signs and directions so you end up covering all the animals. Wheel chair accessibility across Zoo. Electric Vehicle for those can't walk or aged and they ask for feedback on the way out. I'm proud to be a Bangalorean and this is another feather in my proud cap.

Place is good. Safari staffs are really rude. Don't have commonsense to behave with visitors. Shame on their attitude, they soiled my entire day by behaving rude. Just cause you are fustrated handling visitors, you guys don't have any rights to be rude with others. This is place for visitors and we pay for it. "Everyone deserves respect". Please learn to behave.(Not just with VIPs, politicians,... Shown off how polite you are) Even with common people have some respect. I am from Karnataka and I was treated this way...I don't think they would be no better with visitors form other state.

It's such a wonderful place! My first time being there it was so exiting to see safari and look at all lions, specially white tigers, elephants, bears etc. One must take safari no matter what around noon to see all those wildlife roaming outside. But was not much satisfied with the butterfly park next stop there when I visited. There were no much butterflies there then.

Visited this place with family on Dec 9th.we can book the Safari and zoo tickets online. But we have taken at zoo counter. we opted for safari in non AC bus and waited around 15 minutes in queue. Due to the pandemic there is lesser crowd . My kid could watch the animals so closely 🐅 🦁 🐻 🦒 and its a Memorable experience. end of the safari u can visit butter fly park. Only drawback is Canteen at the zoo is not good tried eating at a restaurant which is just opposite to the zoo it's not good either🙄 make sure you carry your own food.else you can manage with snacks at the stalls. After having lunch re-entered the zoo ,opting for a battery car was the best decision 😊just pay 100 per head ,and 50 per kid ,you can watch everything without straining your self. These battery cars are being operated by female operators..and these young girls were very interactive and showed us most of the animals stopping time to time. Appreciate 👏👌the zoo authorities sanitizing these cars after each trip!

One of the best zoo I have visited this far. All animals habitats were closely maintained and given enough free space to roam. If in banglore must visit this place. Some personal tips, don't take safari, walk and explore the zoo that's the best way to see it.

  • 5/5 Rajat O. 3 years ago on Google
Must visit place especially if you have kids. My daughter just loved the place. It was her first safari experience and she just loved it. You get to see lot of animals in open during the safari. In the zoo also there are lot of animals in well made enclosures. A well maintained zoo. The butterfly enclosure is also good to see.

Head count of lions , tigers , white tiger is quite impressive . It's a very good place for both family and Friends trip! One whole day will go like an hour! For safari you need to book a month in prior! If not you can opt a Safari Bus AC & Non-Ac it might cost you 600-650/ Head. Entire place is good and it's worth to pay! You have a Zoo, Butterfly park & a Main thing Safari drive inside the forest, You can see almost all the animals! Come prepared, Book in prior, If you are planning to get old people's book electric vehicles in Zoom and Jeep Safari in prior! Or else it will be a miserable trip that everyone will be exhausted!

Much better than anticipated. The 700 Rs individual battery operated vehicle is worth it, if you want a relaxed visit with aged or very young visitors. The safari is good, but hardly few animals. Deers(3-4 types), elephant, tiger, lion, bison , warthog, black bear. AC bus might be better for visibility, than the NONAC bus. But otherwise not much difference.

With all the stories I've heard about Bannerghatta Biological Park about the sorry state of the animals there, I went for the safari expecting to count the ribs of the elephants, tigers and lions. But, I was so glad that they were just cooked up stories! The animals, looked healthy, well-fed and in the best of health. There were lions majestically big and handsome, but the Tiger, nevertheless, stole the show. Gently purring and majestically walking at a casual pace, at times quite close to the jeep, he reflected in all spirits the term "Royal" Bengal Tiger! We saw many sloth bears -rescued from captivity- and it was a merry sight to see some of them were dancing and playing with each other. The hour long drive through the forest was quite nice and I enjoyed it. The tickets were obtained online and we did not face much trouble getting into the waiting lounge for our jeep. The driver was quite interactive and was helpful in answering queries posed by us. A word of warning: Please carry change in copious amounts. Starting from the parking tickets they insist on change. While parking tickets can be got from where the safari/zoo tickets are bought, its a few hundred meters stroll from the parking spot. Credit/Debit cards are accepted there. There is also a bus depot along with a Hotel attached to it. While I am not sure of accommodation there, you should maybe check out the jungle lodges and camping that's available at Bannerghatta Park, which I am definitely going to try out soon. The employees and personnel inside the park compound are very helpful and direct you properly in case of any troubles. Last but not the least, the restroom (beside the Hotel's gate) was very clean and not reeking of smells that the public lavatories usually welcome us with. A pleasant surprise, I hope they maintain that sort of cleanliness always.

Explored this place in a day and this being my 3rd visit here from my childhood until now, I must say the infrastructure in terms of cleanliness, safety and organization has improved a lot better. A fun place to visit with family and kids. The only dissapoitnment I probably had is with the butterfly park, since I couldn't get the glimpse of the butterflies. Here are some snaps of these wildlife beauties.

First of all, a nice place for kids day out... Though there were hoardings available, but still not that accurate, some confusing when u'll reach approx 6kms distance. Huge parking place available, no issues with parking. Parking charges for whole day is ₹50 for 4 wheeler. Entrance check, free use of restrooms, well maintained, but some restrooms with no door locks. Entance Fee - ₹100 for Adults, ₹50 (5-12) for kids. Coming to the main point...most of the animals were tired looked unhealthy like Tiger, Lion, Cheetah, Giraffe and looked like not given food.

  • 5/5 Priti K. 3 years ago on Google
We went for the jungle safari first and then the butterfly Park and last for the zoo. If you go for the zoo first you may lose the excitement of safari. We have booked tickets online where we were given a slot of time but there is no strict rule of time as written in the ticket. Tickets not required for children below 5 years, it was not written anywhere online though. There are more number of animals in the zoo but very less in safari. We have taken food for ourselves but restaurants are available inside as well. Since we need to walk 3km inside the zoo hence seats are provided to sit and rest every few metres. Small vans are also there for people who want to avoid walking through the jungle. Monkeys are not caged and hence are a fun throughout the zoo. Must visit for kids and family.

At 3.5 k for the 6 person non AC jeep, zoo, butterfly park and camera, that's around 600 bucks per head. It is an excellent option. The safari is tremendous. The animals are in enclosures that are accessible by jeep and the lions, tigers and bears are right on the side of the road.. what sights. Looking right into a lioness's eyes is indescribable. A suggestion is to book the first slot at 10am online. The procedure is super easy. Finish the safari at 11:10, and if family is going, get a buggy to explore the zoo. It would be great to pack food and eat lunch like a picnic at the designated spots. If not, opposite to the bus stand is the mayura hotel which has combo meals. Chinese wasn't the best, but the others were quite good. By afternoon, the heat may get too much to bear. So try and work around it. Finally, choosing a non weekend day will make things much more pleasant. Tuesdays are a holiday.

The park offers Safari ride where Bears, deers, lion, tiger, white tiger and elephant will keep you on edge of your seat, a beautiful butterfly park and a huge zoo all in just 350 Rs. Safari ride is just totally worth. The zoo is also consist in 2 km area and has so much to offer. The place is also so well built and very well maintained. Highly recommended place to vist.

The zoo is no doubt good with healthy animals. Safari is only 45-50mins and do you get to see lion, tigers, elephants, deer, bear sitting around the safari road. It's an artificial habitat so won't give the actual safari feel. I had rented electric vehicle for my elderly parents however that is also for one hour and it's really not possible to cover the zoo in an hour. So either you hurry or miss checking out animals

  • 3/5 Geetha N. 3 years ago on Google
Nice good national park , we can see deer, tiger, lion and bear in a natural habitat. In zoo also. In zoo some information plates are missing. (Turtle s are living without water?) nice informative place to bring kids.

No good food options. 45 mins Safari bus was a nice experience, you can see Tiger, Lion etc very closely. Roaming in zoo takes around 2-3 hours. Lot of animals can be seen. Butterfly park - suggest you to visit in the morning. 30 mins enough. Photography is allowed everywhere. Overall 4/5

Not good.. in zoo there are not much Animals. There are 2 Bannerghatta national park it shows on map, which wrongly mentioned by someone. So make sure to locate near Bannerghatta Biological Zoo. There is only 1 Restaurant inside. So better carry food if you are pure veggie. You are not allowed to go outside to have food in between.

Eatables are available only at start/end of the zoo, not in between. Not visited Safari. Battery vehicles are available 200 per each to roam in the zoo. Time: 3 hrs are enough to visit entire zoo plus time for safari.

Hippos are good to watch as they play but these hippos remained cuddled to each other at one corner of the water body & apart from occasional snorts and grunts they didn't move an inch. Of course they did look up at us once or twice.

  • 2/5 Darby John L. 5 years ago on Google
If you've never seen hippos visit here and still you'll never see a hippo. I don't blame the animal but the cage construction is so bad and small you'll never see the animal out of the water. The hippos don't even have place to walk around nor swim around.

The common hippopotamus or hippo, is a large, mostly herbivorous, semiaquatic mammal native to sub-Saharan Africa, and one of only two extant speciesin the family Hippopotamidae. The name comes from the ancient Greek for "river horse" . After the elephant and rhinoceros, the common hippopotamus is the third-largest type of land mammal and the heaviest extant artiodactyl. Despite their physical resemblance to pigs and other terrestrial even-toed ungulates, the closest living relatives of the Hippopotamidae are cetaceans (whales, dolphins, porpoises, etc.)

The park is definitely worth visiting if you are coming first time here. It has a jungle safari option with non ac bus, ac bus and jeep. The cost for non ac bus is 300 rs. For all budget travellers, I recommend to take the non ac bus. The ride is really fantastic. It will last for 40-45 mins. You will be able to see deers, elephants, tigers, lions, bear, etc., Since this is out of the city, I will recommend to go to this place at morning. It closes at 05:00 pm in evening. You can also go there by government bus.

  • 4/5 Al-Madha S. 3 years ago on Google
Overall experience was good but the price for Safari seems little high because there are not much animals to see in there. AC travel with a package of zoo + safari + Butterfly park costed 500+ per head. Zoo is good with lot of animals in it. There is a buggy arrangement for those who cant take a tour around park by walk. This buggy seat costs Rs. 100/- per head. Usually takes 2 hours approximately to take tour of zoo completely. You can check pics of certain animals which I have uploaded. There are much more animals than what I have shown actually. Then come safari, which is complete waste of money. You will get to see some 10 elephants, 3 wild bears, 5-6 tigers, 1 lioness and 2-3 other animals if you are lucky. Then coming to the butterfly park, where you will see few butterflies at the end of the park. Thats it. There are lot of street food and toy vendors around the biological park to eat, sit and relax. Overall Good experience to hang out with friends and family in Bangalore.

Suggest all to prefer Safari traveling... U can explore better.... Nothing special but good place in summers to visit.. Start from Majestic bus stand in AC Buses low fare when compared to taxis and autos as Prices are much high. You can explore as much as u can but last bus from zoo to Majestic bus stand is at 16:00.. Don't miss it...

This zoological park made my day; with wide variety of bird species, various types of animal, clean and stunning environment, when you hear the tiger's roar it will give you goosebumps, there was angry greater rhea, smiling ostrich, lazy Hippo, crazy bear, playing dead crocodile and many more. It was full package of fun day.

The park is pristine, well maintained and neatly kept. Best part is Safari. Recommendation - although it may be a little costly, go for jeep safari. The regular bus safari is fast paced with tons of people on board. Whereas jeep safari is private, slow paced and the driver will explain a lot. Best time for safari is early in the morning (10 am) or somewhere in the evening (after 3 PM).

Better to go on a weekday than weekend.Less crowded and safer in these covid times. We had booked a xylo for the safari. Tickets can be booked online. Can seat only 3 adults.there is an extra seat the back but the view is not good.Safari was a very good experience. Can see lions and tigers up close. After the safari, they drop you off at the butterfly park where they also have a well maintained park for the kids. After that, one can visit the zoo. There is a golf cart vehicle available for people who dont want to walk around. This very helpful for kids/senior citizens. It is not free. I availed the cart for my family for around 800 RS. 3-4 hours can be spent here. Can be maintained a little more better but overall a wonderful place to visit with kids. 5 stars.

I must confess, our vist to Bannerghatta Park far exceeded our expectation. The tickets are available online which makes it convenient. The place is closed every Tuesday. The parking lot is close by to the park and it's easy to find space to park. The entry was seamless and with any hassle. The park is huge and has numerous animals, birds and reptile. Kids would surely enjoy the experience. You should dedicate about 2 hours to visiting the park. We did use the battery operated buggy, so can't say much about that experience. You should spare additional time for the safari and the butterfly park.

Excellent place to visit with family and kids. Choose a jeep safari so that you can experience the wild nature. They can make it better by including some more wild animals. Must visit for its wild life and lush green jungle.

  • 3/5 vaisaak j. 2 years ago on Google
Since the park area is too limited, it wont be a good experience for those want to see and picturize the wild animals in their natural habitat. But the safari offers the common public enough to see the wild animals on a close range. Its a one hr long safari and I suggest to avail jeep or car for the best experience comparing to bus. I also felt the charges are bit higher.

  • 5/5 Ankit D. 2 years ago on Google
Nice place to visit with family. Safari experience was good as animals were very close to road, sometimes they even blocked the road. Safari + zoo + butterfly park costs 400/- per person. Butterfly parks is a must visit, if you are lucky, you might get a chance to hold a butterfly. Lot of food stalls are also there at the entry gate, after visiting safari or zoo you can take break and enjoy the food stalls outside.

Had a great first time experience at the zoo and in the bus safari. It was perfect weather to travel the forest. Saw the Bengal tiger, white tiger, bears, cute monkeys. Imagine a ride amongst the woods with drizzling and a view of the wild.

I will give 4 stars because of not so good safari experience and not so good maintenance of the cages. Apart from that everything is good. Parking facility is nice. You can but tickets online in advance. Pathways are paved and you can move around without any problem. Kept many animals from India and outside.

  • 4/5 Nomad R. 2 years ago on Google
Better than other zoo parks in other cities. Good place to spend a day with family or friends. Carry lots of water as it would be tiresome to go around the place. We were able to spot bear, lions, tiers and elephants. Reach there as early as possible. Crowded during weekends and holidays

  • 4/5 P K S. 2 years ago on Google
It was a good experience and being with nature will obviously make you feel alive. I'm always feeling bad for those animals in cage, because it's make them pet which they are not. So when you're visiting zoo be kind those wonderful things. I hope we will make a great world with humanity!

I visited Bannerghatta biological park around 2 weeks back. Jungle safari was a pleasant experience where I got to see lion, Bengal Tiger, White Tiger which is hard to see in any national park. They have an adjacent zoo which has Giraffe, Hippopotamus etc. We enjoyed the experience and to add to the enjoyment it was raining and weather was quite pleasant. I recommend it.

Reminisced with fond goody goody old memories of my childhood..but this time with my family. It has improved leaps and bounds...right from ease of online booking, quening, people and staff...so friendly and guiding at each point. Facilities are kind of top class including the toilets, car parking and their maintenance. Loved Safari : Herbivorous, Elephant, Bear, Lion and Tiger. Do not miss Butterfly and insect park. Ofcourse last but not least the zoo captive friends. Take enough water, snacks, though there are shops to indulge too

Perfect weekend gateway with family. You can book tickets online for both zoo and safari. The experience of seeing tigers, lions, bears, elephants etc very near is really thrilling. Then we visited the zoo. Open electric cab are there inside zoos which charge around 100 per head, they will take you to all the spots of the zoo, so that you don't have to walk and be tired. This is must go place in Bangalore.

  • 4/5 Sujith S. 2 years ago on Google
Great Place to hit in Bangalore. Jeep/Bus Safari - is great value for money. And butterfly park is average. Downside of this place is after doing safari you won't have enough energy to walk and see zoo, you might need a battery car assistant for the same. But long wait in queue to get battery car and low number of battery cars available is quite a turn off.

We had opted for safari, it has herbivour section where one can see deer and elephant. There is lion safari, bear safari... worth watching. Charges are 300 for adult, 200 for senior citizen and 150 for children. It includes safari + zoo. It was a good experience. Worth visiting place.

Good place to visit especially for children.. park is clean and well maintained. Safari bus drive was good only negative thing is the price for Safari. It is too high especially in summer when you plan to take your family in AC bus 600/person.

A nice retreat. The safari is great and you get to see all the animals up close. Especially the bengal tiger and white tiger look really majestic. If you reach by 11am, you can roam the place nicely. Also, with electric carts inside the premise, it becomes senior citizen friendly to roam around the zoo. Food options are limited so it is advised to carry your own food (beware of monkeys coming to you for the same)

  • 4/5 nagaradona k. 2 years ago on Google
Excellent place for a family outing. Safari is pretty decent. One can see Lions, tigers, bears , elephants and a few other wild animals roaming freely. Zoo enclosure has wide varieties of animals. There is a separate butterfly park. Has sufficient water and food facilities. One thing they can improve is the wait time for battery car.

A very good place for day outing for Bangalore people. Its a good place to bring kids. Safari, Zoo and Butterfly 🦋 park are the main attraction of Bannerghatta National Park. For visiting zoo cost Rs.100 for Adults and Rs. 50 for kids. Electric Buggy car is avaliable to see the zoo. Safari is a must try to see the Animals in the forest environment.

Safari is worth going. We spotted tiger, lion, white tiger, bear, deer etc. I think its all about your luck.but there is high chance of spotting them as the safari is well planned.if you need to shoot video or photo take ac bus. Jeep and non ac bus glass is covered with iron net, so photography is tough. Only issue i felt is bus windows are not at all cleaned.they should clean all non ac buses window glass . Suggest everyone to try this safari.

Although highly restricted , the safari ride here was good given we hot so see the animals up close. The zoo offers a lot with its wide range of animals . But safari seating is decided by the conductor sometimes u may be separated from ur family. The restaurants around here aren't that great either. Overall it is a great place to visit with family

  • 5/5 Dheeraj K. 2 years ago on Google
Good place to visit. The jeep Safari will help you to see the animals closely. There is huge variety of them. For example, tiger, elephant, lion, white tiger, bear, deer, leopard etc. Ensure to book the tickets online because the chances of getting the ticket on premises are less. Butterfly park is decent but no butterflies are there in it. Zoo is also good with lot of rush. Visit in the early hours of opening of zoo and you'll spend better time.

  • 5/5 Prateek A. 2 years ago on Google
Superb place... surely it was above my expectations. Worth going this National Park. My suggestion would be to choose a AC bus , you will have a clear view of the Safari and Animals. Many breeds of animals and birds I saw here first time. It's not so heavy on ur pocket too. A good place for one day family outing.

  • 4/5 Sushil B. 2 years ago on Google
It was nice saw some of the endangered animals like Bengal tiger and The King cobra. Nice visit. Weather was good. Only problem is for cloak room charges are high, per item they will charge 20 rupees. We kept two helmet they charged 40 and if we have to keep one small bag pack they were asking for 20 more. Butterfly Park can be made more beautiful by keeping the entry and exit point close with glass door so that many more Butterflies can fly inside.

  • 3/5 Anup N. 1 year ago on Google
Best time to reach in between 9 to 10 am. Its always better to book tickets online in advance. This will help you avoid standing in long queues. You wont find any good restaurants , so better carry some food with you. We enjoyed jungle safari - kids will love it. You can skip butterfly park , as there aren't many butterflies to see. Boating option is also available inside zoo. If you are with kids or old peoples, better opt for battery vehicle to roam.

  • 5/5 Rajdeep R. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful place. Lots of greenery. Loved the jungle safari ride where I got to see bears, lions and tigers up close. There are many food outlets outside the zoo and public toilets are well maintained as well. Ticketing queues were long and time taking but it is to be expected on a weekend. Just one downside to point out here. Having went there on a weekend, I noticed there was a lot of littering on the streets due to lack of dustbins. It would be nice for the Zoo officials to have a look into that and try placing more dustbins around the food outlet zone. Overall it was a great experience, would love to visit again someday.

Pros: 1. An awesome place to visit with family and kids 2. Safari with non AC has very less waiting time and is definitely the best thing to do at the zoo 3. Enjoyed every moment of the safari which takes only 30 mins to cover it. There is Elephant, lion and Tiger in the safari. 4. A very well planned zoo where we cover the entire zoo in a very short distance. Need not walk a lot. 5. Plenty of parking Cons: 1. Washrooms 2. High prices 3. Food courts, there are a lot of street vendors near the ticket counter, because of which there is a lot of trash being generated, dustbins are there but they are completely filled and are overflowing, they need to maintain it. 4. No good vendors inside the zoo where you can buy and enjoy the snacks while covering the zoo. 5. I came across few monkeys that were roaming free in the vicinity, they chased our family since we were holding a cold drink bottle in our hand. Felt like the monkeys ran out of their cages, and they broke free. Later i understood that they were just wild monkeys in that area. 6. The zoo authorities have to catch those monkeys and drop them away or control that thing, because it is not acceptable when wild monkeys are chasing you and your kids for the food in your hands, as nobody expects it. It was an out of a blue experience for me and a little dangerous situation to be in.

"The zoo is a must-visit place for families with children. It is well-maintained and offers a variety of attractions, including a safari that is definitely worth the cost. The cost of the safari is 400 per person in a bus, and 3600 for a 6-person jeep. On weekends, the cost is 3900. The guides at the zoo are very helpful and there are information boards on all the animals, which is a nice touch. The butterfly park is also amazing. It is best to visit the zoo in the morning as it takes a long time to cover the whole place."

Very long park. It will take nearly 4 hrs to cover entire national park. Including safari, butterfly park. Must visit. Best experience. Safari will take nearly 40 min duration. Restroom facility and baby care room are there. Prefer weekdays to avoid crowd. As per jun 2023 ticket for Adults Rs.100 Non AC safari Rs.250 and for Butterfly park Rs.50

This place is awesome for kids but I was equally awestruck by the beautiful animals roaming around amidst the lush green greenery of the sanctuary. The place is well maintained. Tickets are reasonably priced. People from allover Bangalore visit on weekends hence the crowd will be there. Take ample time in hand and visit. Emjoy the safari. You will be ecstatic to see the beautiful wildlife. Only con is the zoo employees who are responsible for the crowd control. They are not very efficient hence you will see lots of people cutting the line in between, mismanagement here and there. Otherwise it’s worth a visit. The safari bus and jeeps are good and well maintained.

It is such a big zoo with lots of animals. The good thing is that they are taking good care of animals. I could see all the animals which we have seen in text books back in school days or in television. Animals in this zoo are not just limited from India, they have animals from round the globe. Be it Lion, Hippo, African Elephant, different varieties of monkeys, Birds from all over the globe, giraffe etc etc. Also the zoo itself is full of greenery and very beautiful. Giving the exact feel of forest. 1) Would suggest everyone to wear shoes, as the place is very big and have to walk for Hrs. 2) Take water bottle, also they have drinking water on every 20-30 meter but, taking our own water bottle will be more hygienic. 3) Take and wear your mask, it is mandatory.

The zoo in inside the Bannerghatta National Park. The zoo is big and has lost of animals to view. The zoo is clean and nice to walk around. You can actually walk or take battery cart which costs around Rs 100 per person. Try not to visit in afternoon as lot of animals are resting or sleeping.

  • 5/5 Hema G. 9 months ago on Google
The zoo and safari have been organized very well following the west theme parks model. This is a huge improvement from a decade ago. Crowd management was good too. The animals in zoo have also increased in variety. The buggy ride in zoo in really a boon. Only flaw is all these details should be well advertised. That tickets could bd bought online, types of safari not too well known. Also a memento shop would be great.

  • 5/5 Urba K. 8 months ago on Google
The guards there let you hold the largest butterfly or a caterpillar, and ask for tips which is unfair to the creatures

Really enjoying day trip to BBBP. With greens and wild, it makes a bond between the two. Safari is worth doing, Non-AC buses are ok as weather is calming. Good arrangements of sections while safari, the gates isolates the animals within. Overall, I'll always recommend to visit this place with family and loved ones.

There is a zoo and a safari kind of activity over here. You can see a wide variety of animals in the zoo but all caged mostly. But I went here to enjoy the safari. We went here on a weekend that too which was part of a long weekend so it was quite crowded. Our safari was around 2-3 in the noon. We had booked a 1.30 slot but they dont work with slot system I guess. We just had to stand in the long queue and wait till the queue reached waiting area and then from there they will take us batch by batch. In the queue they provided umbrella as it was too hot and also water to drink was kept. After we got into the safari bus we were taken within a somewhat forest kinda area, but not really forest. You could spot some animals in each section but mostly too far and its separated from us either with grill or with a deep trench so that they cant come near the bus. We saw bear, lion, lioness, etc but all from a long distance. We were lucky to see a tiger at shorter distance. One tiger inside grill and other outside. On thing about taking the bus is, make sure you get the window seat otherwise its really difficult to see the animals clearly as the entire bus is grilled and there is a hole in the grill near every seat. Dont expect animals to come near you and all as that's just rare cases. But its a nice place to go once but not more.

Not worth it. Safari in bus costs 670 per head and they stop for a handful of sightings - lion, tiger, bear, deer. Adjacent to it is butterfly park which is just a glorified garden. The whole visit takes around 3 hours. For first timers, it is worth it. Otherwise leave this off your plans.

Had recently visited the zoo on Sunday, it was good place to enjoy. Took 2 hours to complete the zoo sightseeing and able to witness all big giants (Elephants, Lion, Tiger, Hyena, Leopard, Bear), other creatures, birds and other category of reptiles. Zoo Safari was awesome, where we took a jeep and witnessed all the animals at very closer distance and it was an awesome experience.

Definitely a must go place in Bangalore. Would appreciate the ease of getting the safari ride and then moving into the zoo. Yes but there is a little wait time to get the battery ride, as there are limited of 10 such vehicles during holidays when the crowd is huge. It's fun not only for the kids even for the adults. A very nice time spent
