Fantastic experience from start to finish. Beautiful layout, nice location and the best products around for haircare. The front desk was friendly and accommodating. Liv was fantastic! Used great products, was open to feedback, took direction well and was patient. Highly recommend!

I have had three services done at Swink and two out of three were beyond disappointing. One makeup service with someone in September (unfortunately I am forgetting her name) but it was amazing, which is why I went back. A blow out I received was subpar (also forgetting the name of the stylist as this also happened in September and it doesn't seem to be written in the confirmation emails). The experience wasn't terrible but definitely wasn't warm and welcoming. The end result was just mediocre. But a few hours after my scalp was left burning. Not sure what products were used but they were not gentle, they were also not applied gently. The third more recent service I had two days ago was AWFUL, and what prompted me to write this review. I had a makeup service with Zenaya. She did not really listen to what I was wanting and was pushy with how she wanted to apply the makeup. Too many "you shoulds." She started by putting a cleaner on my face (it smelled like alcohol but I don't think it was, but it was harsh). Then she proceeded to put foundation on.. with no moisturizer or primer or product underneath. The end result looked terrible. I didn't love it in the salon but was hoping it was the lighting. I walked outside and looked in a mirror and it was blotchy any streaky. I have had children do a better job at applying make up (this is mean but true). I was so disappointed and frustrated that a professional could do the job that she did. I am also upset that I spent money to go home and wash it off and redo it. I truly do not recommend this salon, there are many better options in Seattle.

I visited Swink as I needed to book hair and make up last minute for my maternity photo sessions. They were able to fit me in, and did an amazing job- I felt beautiful and have photos to show for it. I have booked MUA professionals to come to my house in the past, but this option was more affordable, and they did an excellent job- will definitely book again for future needs. I had to get my hair and makeup done hours before, and the hair stylist and MUA did a great job making sure my hair and makeup would last.

Absolutely wonderful!! I had the privilege of getting my hair/makeup done by Tiara last month for my wedding. My mom also got her hair/makeup done (I can't remember the girl's name) and she looked beautiful! I was so happy with the results and would highly recommend Swink!

My friend and I had a great experience at Swink and we're happy with our final hair! She got a dry style, and I got an updo. She did curls in her short hair, and I had an intrict twist and braid detail, low bun combo. So good! Both of our hair was a little frizzy/had fly-aways, but we were both happy with the results regardless! Fun experience to start off a girls night!

Unfortunately this was a really bad experience, I came for a blow-out and dry style for a wedding I am attending today. My stylist was nice but she didn’t give me a blow-out at all, she didn’t use a round brush she just blew dry my hair with a flat brush and then curled it. my hair is so heavy from the amount of product she used when she took the curls out of the pins they just fell. When I checked out the receptionist had to ask if I got a blowout — I had to go home and re-curl my whole head. But the amount of product she used it made my hair so heavy that didn’t hold either. The product she used on my roots dried and when I brushed it out it just looked like dandruff. I didn’t have time to shower and redo my hair since I got my hair done for the event. I have had to wear my hair up and it is not what I wanted at all.

The girl who did my hair was nice enough, but she was unable to actually do anything to my hair other than curl it. I wanted a few small pieces pulled back and curls all over. She was unable to secure my hair behind my head without it falling. My curls all fell out within three hours and my friend ended up curling my hair and putting it up like I wanted to begin with. I know my hair texture can be hard to work with, but if my friend who has no cosmetology training can make the curls stay and secure a few pieces behind my head I’d expect someone I’m paying to be able to do so as well.

I had a great experience with Oanh at Swink - easy to schedule, fast and efficient, my hair looks fantastic, and Oanh was a pleasure to be around. Five stars!

I was really disappointed with the way the workers carried themselves when my sister was getting married. We asked for hair and makeup done for the bride 3 bridesmaids and 2 moms and a flower girls hair. The bride and 2 bridesmaids got their makeup and hair but one of our bridesmaids and both of the moms left with only their hair done and no makeup, and not even good makeup and hair!! Like wth u ask for full coverage and get barely anything, this girl be dabbing my face with a shadow brush?? Like girl commonnn add some pruductttt don’t be shyyyyy!! The bride and bridesmaids were not happy with their makeup we had to redo the brides eye makeup because it was not noticeable at all and they didn’t even fill in her eyebrows, you really said let me ruin this girls wedding, I don’t recommend this place if ur looking for a full coverage bridal makeup because by the time I left the salon the makeup was completely gone…. We also had to pay the full amount when half of our girls didn’t even get the full services, WASTE OF MONEYYYYY!
