Beautiful! Worth a watch. Open in covid time, entry is allowed inside the palace, closing time is 5:30pm, Sunday also open. Tickets are expensive, they charge ₹270/adult, entry for kids upto age 12 is free. Best is to not pay for the camera ₹300, they give a green band if you pay for camera and a pink if you don’t pay. Ironically, you will see everyone using the phone camera, irrespective of entry band Colour. The garden is beautiful and floral. The palace interiors are not as rich as Mysore palace but yes the architecture is European and looks like a Nordics city castle 🏰. European architecture at best.

A majestically beautiful palace from inside as well as outside. It looks royal and it feels royal right from the time of stepping in. Entry ticket - 240 rupees and it includes audio guide. Audio guide is available in English, Hindi and many other major languages of India. Audio guide clearly explains everything in the palace. It will take around 1.5 hours to cover it. There is a beautiful garden around it - very well maintained and it enhances the beauty of the palace. Yes, ticket price is a bit high - but history and art enthusiats will definitely find it worthy.

Beautiful picturesque place. A must visit place for history lovers and people who love ancient paintings. The palace is well maintained and the architecture and design blows your mind. Would suggest people to visit it during weekdays as weekend time it's a total rush and you may not be able to peacefully enjoy the tour. Entry is allowed only after purchase of ticket. The ticket cost 240 rupees each and if you are using mobile camera additional 300rs has to be paid. There is a audio guide available(mobile phone and a earphone supplied) which can be played at marked spots to understand the significance of that spot. The palace has many beautiful and vivid locations for capturing. There is a garden outside the palace through which you can roam around and click pictures. Overall the ticket price can be reduced a bit otherwise its a beautiful place to spend a day.

Beautiful site to visit, much history to learn. Cons: photographies are prohibited, no access to wheelchairs and very few spots to seat/rest. It is very good getting the electronic guides in your own language. You should not miss the opportunity for visiting the Palace.

It's a beautiful place 🏰 Entry is allowed only after purchase of ticket. The ticket cost 240 rupees each and if you are using mobile camera additional 300rs has to be paid. The place is well maintained and there is enough parking space. Most important thing carry your any of the identity proof with you because if you don’t have they will take 2000 Rs./- as a refundable deposit and at the end they will refund you. This is require for audio guide. There is a audio guide available(mobile phone and a earphone supplied) which can be played at marked spots to understand the significance of that spot. There people are supportive they told as I don’t carry as Identity proof and also I don’t have cash with me. So, I have given online to them and after that they provide me cash for that audio guide . Very helpful people are there . The palace has many beautiful and vivid locations for capturing. Overall the ticket price is really high it can be reduced a bit otherwise its a beautiful place to spend a day. Try to visit on weekdays because weekends are crowded must visit in Bangalore.

Visited on the Indian Independence weekend so it was crowded. The palace is fascinating piece of history. However it is desperately in need of a lot of TLC. Walls are badly stained, signing is bad and they have a ridiculous 'no photography' ruling

Well organized system. Free audio guide if we give id proof. DSLR need to have separate payment. Full palace can be covered within 2 hrs if audio guide is also there. Should have organized parking which is not there currently. Social distancing maintained throughout. Staffs are wearing masks & instructed the tourists to have it.

Not well kept. It's so hard to put on a fresh coat of paint and clean? Nice building otherwise. No pictures allowed in the palace itself, only outside.

It’s really beautiful from the outside. It’s a small palace and most of the rooms are locked. It’s not worth the money but you can visit once if you want. There is a small garden and cannons are place outside. Charges: Only card or cash is acceptable. Audio device is available for free in case you want to listen to history about Arti facts in the palace. Carry your identity card or cash (2000 minimum for deposit) for audio device. Parking is free.

The place is beautiful and calm (on weekdays). Very clean as well. It may seem slightly shabby since the place is all about collection of old artefacts. Garden in front of palace is small but beautiful. Overall, a well maintained place. Tickets may slightly be heavy on pockets. It is currently 260Rs per head if you're an Indian. Price is more elevated for foreigners. Would need to pay 300 extra if you are to capture pictures using cell phone or camera.

It's a beautiful place. Tickets cost around 250 rs per person if you are Indian and varies for Foreigners. Also there is an additional cost if you want to click pictures and the amount depends on whether you are using your phone or any professional camera, etc. The place is beautiful inside and out as you can see in the pictures. There is a huge garden infront of the palace where you can spend time with family or even have a walk around it. The palace has so much history and a lot of photographs of the people. Also, it has a lot of places as backgrounds to click beautiful pictures of yourself. 😅

Not worthy for Rs 240 Honestly Worst place to visit in Bangalore They are charging Rs240/- for tiny empty rooms of the king better to go for shopping with that amount.there is nothing special to see. They are already earning crores by commercializing the palace as a marriage venue for rich people. They should have made it free or Rs 100 for visiting this palace.

The palace is open everyday. It had been designed and built with fortified towers, battlements and turrets and the interiors are decorated with elegant wood carvings, floral motifs and relief paintings on the ceiling. A audio player guide can be hired free of cost and is very informative. The palace has beautifully designed and landscaped gardens. It's located at a very short distance from the railway station and nice for a short visit of couple of hours.Nice place to visit. Felt the entry fare is on higher side. OK inside the palace. Nothing extraordinary though. The usual artifacts and household stuffs and some decorative items for display. You could still walk around outside looking at exterior which is good and the small garden area. You get some good shots from the external view. The building is well decorated and looks beautiful in green. The garden is also OK and well maintained.

Really beautiful palace to see from outside but not that worth of paying Rs 240 per person for visiting inside the palace. Also they give us the audio device free with valid ID proof, if ID is not available u need to pay Rs 2000 refundable deposit to get it. Restroom is available inside the palace maintained clean. Drinking water is available. Parking available for both Bike and Car free of cost. Photography is prohibited, if u want to take pics inside seperate amount has to be deposited. Best time to visit after having ur lunch around 2 pm almost 1 hour to see inside later u can sit outside the palace a small garden in which u can click a good picture.

My visit to Bangalore Palace left me with mixed feelings. I found it quite distinctive in its architecture and surroundings. However, like many others have mentioned, the palace appears quite dilapidated, which was disappointing. Firstly, the ticketing process was a hassle, especially since the prices for tourists were considerably higher than for locals. Additionally, the extra charge for photography further added to the expenses. Consequently, I could only capture the exterior and the gardens, missing out on interior marvels. Considering the relatively steep entrance fee of 480Rs, one would anticipate better upkeep of the exhibits. Inside, an audio guide, available in both Hindi and English for deposit of your ID card, provides insights into its history, somewhat compensating for the lackluster maintenance. Unfortunately, many described items were missing, and the overall state of the exhibits was poor. While some parts have been converted into a museum, others are still retained by the royal family, resulting in a disjointed viewing experience. Despite its worn-out appearance, Bangalore Palace serves as a hub for various cultural events, from rock shows to marriages. Nevertheless, I recommend visiting Bangalore Palace for its historical significance and the glimpse it offers into India's monarch days. Overall, while there are areas that need improvement, the audio guide and the palace's unique ambiance make it worth a visit, albeit with tempered expectations.

I visited Palace with family on a weekend afternoon. It literally took no time to enter the palace, the only time we waited was to buy tickets and get headphones which also didn't exceed 5 minutes. The palace is pretty and audio well explained every part of the palace. Management has marked numbers on board. One needs to enter the number on the device and press Play to know the significance of that part of the palace. It is not allowed to carry eatables inside the premises. Limitation time of audio device is 45 minutes and a fine will also be imposed if there is any damage to the device. So please cover the palace within alloted time and handle the device carefully. There is ample parking space for both two wheelers and four wheelers so there is no issue of parking. There is a mini park to spend time with people around. The only issue is lack of navigation to Palace within building and absence of any eatery around.

Upi is not available; only card or cash are accepted. It is 240/-. There is plenty of parking available, and parking is free. An identity card is required to use the phone and earphone that you will receive, which will allow you to listen to the tales of the palace and its lords. It is forbidden to take pictures within the palace. It is worthwhile to visit the art, architecture, and photos once. It's a stunning palace with an extensive history. Weekday visits are preferable because there won't be as many people and you can make the most of your time there.

A great monument to visit. A place with rich heritage and significance to the history of Bangalore and the Maharajas. The palace is fairly well maintained although not all parts of the palace are accessible to the visitors. There are lots of interesting facts and trivias about the place and artifacts here which will interest all. The wooden carvings and the floor tiling are a marvel in itself, the intricate and delicate work done on them is simply amazing. This place is open from 10 am to 5:30 pm and entry is priced at ₹240 per person. Clicking pictures is allowed only on paying ₹300 at the minimum (for a mobile camera). You can also avail the free audio guide by depositing an ID proof, which I think is the best way to learn about the history of this place at your own pace.

Not worth paying 240 Rupees. Would not recommend spending that much money on this unless you are a fan of monarchy, better visit National or HAL museum. If you still want to, the palace is good from outside, see and move on.

The rating 3 I gave because of the picture perfect interior and architecture. Otherwise the entry fee is quite high and unnecessary. They also take extra money for mobile camera and other type of camera. You do have a big ground and park to spend a day with family and friends. Inside Bangalore if you want to explore a place then this can be a one time option.

Although I loved this place this is nowhere worth 250 Rupees. It's absurd .Had visited Mysore palace at around 50 . The only good thing here was the garden area where we clicked a lot of pictures. Also they give a device with audio recording of particular things inside the museum ..thumbs up for that. The palace closes at 4:30 so suggest you reach before that time

It's 240/- and upi is not available, only card or cash. Ample parking is there and no charges for parking. You will receive a phone and an earphone for which an id card is a must, in which you can hear the stories about the palace and its rulers. Photography is prohibited inside the palace. The architecture, paintings and photographs are worth visiting once. It's a beautiful palace with a rich heritage. Visit on weekdays as it would be less crowded and you get to properly spend your time there.

A beautiful palace from the inside as well as the outside. This grand palace is a must-visit if you are a history enthusiast. There is an entry ticket for 240 rupees. They provide you with an audio guide which is quite helpful while you walk around the palace. Takes at least 1-2 hours to explore the whole palace. The vast greenery surrounding the palace courtyard in the form of a garden is another highlight you must not miss.

Given 5 stars only because of the Royal look. Camera not allowed and Photo inside the palace is prohibited. Don't forget to take a free audio guide which is useful for the visitors. Only plus points for money. Totally time may consume maximum 1hour inside the palace. Nice collections are there. Entry fee of ₹240 per person was totally unfair, where you can see worth ₹100-150. Don't miss, Paintings, Original elephant Trunk, Legs are used as chairs.. Older era. You'll get parking not a problem. The garden area in front of the palace is also good. Maintenance was not good at all that too in the capital city.

If the pass is free a good place to visit. For Indians the ticket price is 240 rupees and the visit is not even worth 10 rupees. Nothing good to see there. When you look from outside it looks good but nothing more. There is literally nothing inside worth watching. Not maintained also.

Beautiful Palace in the heart of the city. King Wadiyar built this beautiful Palace, interrior is peasant to eyes. Lots of wooden furniture, paintings, flower pattern walls and lot more see When I visited there entry fee was 240 Rupees and double for the foreigners And if you use mobile phone for shooting pics, video the separate charge of 300 rupees. They provide audio guide so you may not spend extra penny on human guides.(see the picture no. 5) But all the rooms was locked and no entry in some areas which feels me accomplished.

Small and pretty palace in the middle of Bangalore City. Absolutely worth a half day visit. Entrance fees 240rs/person, free for kids under 10 years. Free audio guide in multiple languages is available inside, with a refundable deposit of Rs.2000 and display of a valid id card, though we weren't changed the refundable deposit as there was a lot of crowd the day we visited the palace. Audio guide is super usefull to know the history and description of the various rooms of the palace. Also, there is a mobile photography charge of rs 300, but no one really bothers to check inside whether you have paid this extra charge or not. Free parking and a small cafeteria serving basic tea, etc available within palace grounds. We are allowed to carry outside water and food inside the palace.

A little gem of Bangalore, a little collection of crafts was found but many photographs were found each photo hold some good memories in there, I am so impressed with the photographs, and there is nothing much to say entry rate is very high and additional charges are there to take mobile photographs. The palace looks big but a little bit is opened to the public to see and explore. You will get a audio phone to hear the history of this places with many languages supported.

The place is good and we can learn a lot about the history. But more than a palace I felt it to be a small castle as the appearance also says the same. A simple palace that says a lot about the Bangalore history. Also make sure that you carry cash or card with you if you planing to visit the place as they don’t accept UPI payments at the counter.

Good place to visit. The palace in itself is quite small and comparatively less detailed if you have been to other palaces. Inspired from European architecture. Tickets are to be collected on the outside. No UPI payment option was available. Payment only in cash or card. An audio guide is available and is included with your ticket. Multiple language options are available, including Kannada, Hindi, Malayalam, Marathi, etc. No photography is allowed on the inside. A glimpse of the royal life can be viewed and heard. The royal court, the hunting activities, trophies, and such. A couple of small eateries serving snacks are available on the outside, along with local transport options. It is definitely recommended if you are interested in history and have a few hours to spare. P.S: While using Google Maps for navigation, ensure you put the Palace and NOT Palace Parking. Parking is available next to the palace itself and is free of charge.

The Palace has huge space available for parking... no need to worry about parking and no parking fees as well. The entry is quite costly though, it's 240 rs per adult, kids below 10 can enter free... for camera it's 300 rupees extra for entire group. Coming to the Palace itself, you will enjoy the Palace if you like to observe how things used to be so many years back. Another good thing is there is free audio tour available. You need to submit DL/Aadhar card and they will give a mobile with headphones to listen to the related details. It might take 1.5 to 2 hours max based on how much interest you take.

Beautiful palace if you're interested in ancient buildings and architects this is the best place. Beautiful designs and photographs inside the palace. There will be an entry fee 240rs. If you're a foreigner it's around 450rs. Palace shows all the Tudor style architects. Interior and old style looks was good mainly all that photographs and paintings. You can get to know Wadiyar's family history and their ruling. For guiding all about that they will give you an audio gadget and earphones. You can listen overall history of the palace and places , photographs inside the palace. And it's for free. Better to go in weekdays to avoid rush.

Very beautiful Palace and it is not made in the style of Indian Palaces are made, it is made in a design of British Palace. But the entry tickets and camera tickets are bit expensive comparing with the place. Entry for Indian National is ₹240 per head and foreign national is ₹400-₹500 (I forgot the exact cost of the ticket). And now for the cameras; Mobile camera is ₹300, DSLR or similar is ₹750 and Video Camera is ₹1080.

This is an historical place where you can witness the lives of kings and queens from centuries. It has beautiful architectural details and interiors. Vertical gardening on the exterior walls add to the beauty of the palace. You can opt for voice guide to have detailed information. The entry fee is about 250/- per person and additional charges for photography and guide. Large space for car and bike free parking is available. It's one of the tourism places of Bangalore. It has an open spaces with garden on the front. Many movie shoots and marriages take place here. Do watch "aaptamitra" movie to get some horror illusions when you visit inside :P

A great place to visit. You must not miss going around the palace and the museum. You can spend quality time (at least 2 to 3 hours) and get a taste of history and opulence. Best in winter months. The palace looks elegant and chic. The grounds can be maintained better. Entry and exits should be marked in a better way.

Bangalore Palace is a royal palace located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India, in an area that was owned by Rev. J. Garrett, the first principal of the Central High School in Bangalore, now famous as Central College. The commencement of the construction of the palace is attributed to him. The ground floor consists of an open courtyard containing granite seats covered with fluorescent blue ceramic tiles. It also contains a ballroom for holding private parties. The first floor, containing an elaborate hall known as the Durbar Hall, can be reached by climbing a decorated staircase. This is a sprawling hall where the king used to address the assembly. The walls along the staircase are adorned with paintings and the Durbar Hall has a massive elephant head mounted in it. One side of the hall contains stained glass windows in Gothic style. The yellow colour is used profusely and the walls and the sofa set in the hall are in yellow. A screen on one end separates the area where the ladies used to sit and watch the assembly proceedings in relative privacy. The interior walls of the palace are adorned by old paintings belonging to the mid-19th century, including some Greek and Dutch paintings. Some of the other attractions include a dining table belonging to the Diwan of Mysore, Sir Mirza Ismail. This table contained a mother-of-pearl inlay with Chinese lacquer work. Srikanta Datta Narsimharaja Wadiyar worked towards renovating this palace after he obtained the right to own it. The woodwork has been renovated and the ballroom has been redone.[5] Even the brass-fittings and lamps have been replaced and the furniture has been newly upholstered. Out of the collection of 30,000 photographs currently present in the palace, it is planned that about 1,000 of them will be restored and put up for viewing in an exhibition. A room has been converted into a boutique where silks and other garments used by the royal family will be exhibited. The palace is open to the public who can visit it after paying a fee (entry is from Palace Road near the railway overbridge and as of November 2018, the ticket is for Rs. 230 per head for Indians/Rs. 460 for foreigners including an audio guide. Using a still camera is another Rs. 695). There are also plans to rent out the ballroom for private parties and to sell silk scarves, photographs and other articles used by the royal family to tourists. Illumination of the palace and renovating the gardens using Mexican grass is in progress.

Many additions and improvements were carried out in subsequent years. In the later years, Maharaja Jayachamaraja Wadiyar added some portions outside of Durbar Hall e.g. the twin external staircase and platform for musicians

Loved the palace....gives you a glimpse into the luxurious life of the Wadiyar family... One of the palace in india which makes you wonder "this is no way an Indian palace!!", since its exterior (and bit of interior) is inspired from English Architecture... Apart from the sprawling halls, classic staircases, the first ever lift in india, you also get a glimpse into the life of the royal family through multiple photo galleries displayed on almost every wall of the palace...

It's well connected with road, there is ample amount of parking for both 2 wheeler and four wheelers. Tickets for entry 240/ adults. You can explore king life style, their paintings, furnitures, antiques, relieve the history. Next to palace you will see beautiful garden adds up to the perfect peaceful vibes. Overall, worth to visit this beautiful place and recommend everyone to visit at least once to capture the beautiful memories.

Fun experience. You have parking. You get the tickets at the entrance. Price: 240per person, Indian, 480 foreigners. No camera allowed even by paying extra. The tour will not last more than 30 minutes. You may spend some extra time at the garden. There are no gift shops, or other shops in the vicinity. You’re not allowed to carry food. Water bottles is fine. Felt the price was not justified but I guess this is what you call capitalism;)

The Bangalore Palace, one of the top 10 places in Bangalore to see, is a historic palace that depicts the old-fashioned way of life and the status of the city under the control of several monarchs. As soon as you enter the location, you will discover a wealth of information. There is no need for a guide because the history is all written down, and they will give you a phone so you can clearly hear each property's history. This is the best site to learn about history if you are eager to do so and want to spend some time learning. Good Day!

Ticket price is high.

The palace offers a variety of stunning and vibrant photo opportunities. Outside the palace, there is a park where you can stroll and take pictures. Must visit tourist spot in bglr. Not that far from the city, you can easily reach here by a cab or an auto. Visit before 12pm or after 2pm, because it's difficult to find a decent restaurant around the palace to have lunch. Having the latest audio technology that explains you the significance of all those places and things you see inside, you will get to know better the dynasty that once ruled the area. It's quite amazing when you know that the family still lives in a portion of the palace, which is but restricted for the tourists.

The palace is nice. With a good architecture to capture the photos. Deducted one star only because they charge you hefty price for allowing still photography using DSLR and along with that there is a clause that you cannot click your own photos with a digital camera. If a person is paying ₹710 for digital camera ticket, why is he not allowed to capture and pose to have his own photo clicked. If you want your own photos be clicked, you have to pay another ₹300 for mobile photography. The management has simply made the palace a money minting machine.

The audio guide is great but no hygiene is being maintained as the ear plugs are transferred from one person to the other. The collection is very impressive.

The price of ticket is 240 per person and free for kids below 10 years of age. The ticket price is little expensive for the views which we get inside. It might take hardly 30-45 min to see the entire palace. Photography is restricted inside the palace, but that doesn't stop people from taking pictures and there is no strict way to control it also. There is a small garden outside the palace where people can sit and relax.

Visiting Bangalore Palace was an enchanting experience! The architectural beauty of this historical landmark is truly remarkable. The palace's fusion of Tudor and Scottish Gothic styles creates a unique and awe-inspiring sight. The well-maintained gardens and surrounding areas provide a serene environment, perfect for a leisurely stroll. The audio guides available on-site were incredibly helpful, providing fascinating historical information and adding depth to the visit. One minor downside could be the entry fee, which might seem a bit steep for some visitors. However, considering the historical significance and the beauty of the place, it is definitely worth the price.

Bengaluru Palace stands as a testament to the city's rich history and architectural brilliance. Its intricate design captivates with ornate detailing and sprawling gardens. The palace's regal presence and majestic interiors make it a true gem, showcasing the beauty of craftsmanship and royal opulence.

The Bangalore Palace is an old historical building situated in the heart of Bangalore. It has big garden surrounding it with a long of floral beauty. The Palace has an entry fee for visitors. You also get an earphone enabled device which you wear and roam around in the palace . At all the spots of relevance, The device tells you about the importance of that place or thing, that's one of an experience ! The palace building is huge, though it's not taller than a 4 storey building but there's a lot of area to cover. There are innumerable artifacts, statues and paintings in the palace all having a lot of historical significance.

The best part is that it is quite easy to reach by road. In all honesty, it is not very big but will give you a lot of information about the Wadiyar dynasty and other historical aspects.

If you are a curious person who love knowing history about royal families then you should visit Bangalore palace. I would recommend you to carry aadhar card because the authorities will ask for it before you enter.

Beautiful Experience! There are many emblems of wodeyar family, paintings and beautiful ceramics. One must take time and go through the inside of palace in detail..it's good if everyone understands the detailed decorum of the wodeyar Family.

The area where the palace is now located originally belonged to Reverend J Garrett, who was a school principal in the cantonment town.  It was purchased in 1873 by the guardians of Chamaraja Wadiyar and construction began in 1874. John Cameron, the person behind Lalbagh was enrolled for the landscaping of the palace and surrounding areas. Initial construction was completed in 1878 and subsequent additions and renovations have been carried out since.

Fees to enter is high when compared to other palaces. As usual statues and artifacts. And nothing so brilliant to see inside. Go if you have a lot of time free while in Bangalore. One can take photos from outside the palace. Fees one pay for taking photos of inside the palace is a waste.

Bangalore Palace is situated at the intersection of Sadashivanagar and Jayamahal. Modelled on the lines of Windsor Castle, the historical monument was built in 1887 by Chamaraja Wodeyar, depicting the Tudor-style architecture. Sprawling over 147,466 sq ft., the structure encompasses woodcarvings, parapets, lawns, towers and gardens. The palace has a ballroom, which was used for organising private parties and assemblies during the king's rule. Gallery of palace exhibits thousands of photos and paintings of famous personalities and rulers, like Diwan of Mysore and Sir Mirza Ismail. Visitors can also witness dining table that belonged to the royal rulers, Gothic windows, battlements and turrets in the palace.

It gives a look back in the past of the city and the state. It is about the royal family. There is also a free audio guide. Audio guide was very helpful in knowing the palace and going deep in history. Guide also contains the audio of the Raja or prince who lived there. It was like Palace is talking to me and pictures are speaking. The only thing that I do not like about it was you have give charges for photography.

Its a good small palace with some interesting antiques. Its good for one visit. There is an entry fee and if you want to take picture, you need to pay additional. However, you will see everyone taking pictures from their mobile phones. If you are foreigner, be careful with museum workers. They tend to run after you for money if you are caught taking pictures. Its sad but true. They think the rules if any applies only to foreigner and not to locals. I had a small fight with two of these staffs. I will never visit this palace again. Scammers shouldn't be allowed to work at such a historical site.

Very nice place , worth seeing , has collection of photos and other items used by the royal family. Palace authorities need to think of a small of medium sized cafeteria in it's vicinity so that visitors can heve refreshments also after having an exhaustive tour of palace . One thing more , when one gets permission for use of camera after making requisite payment and a particular wrist band is also fixed on the wrist then time and again enquiry and demand for showing payment receipt is very harassing . One feels the he is being treated as a culprit . Authorities should think over it .

It is overrated. Not much antique things. It is a modern Palace. Many canvases paintings are there; all caught dust and looks dirty. I don't know what maintenance they do. Many rooms were locked and some are closed for renovation. 1 hr we can cover all. Rs. 240 entry fee and camera charges extra, is too much for this place. Most irritating thing is the Staff's behavior.

The guide also took many pictures for me. Speaking of pictures, the museum chargesa little more if you want to take pictures, so be prepared. You can also, select tour options that include taking pictures. The fee for the tour is not much, which makes for a nice, inexpensive way to see and learn about the history of the castle.

Looks good on the outside, however interiors are cheaply maintained. Many of the chandeliers have cheap CFL light bulbs. A few of the paintings have tears and cuts. Ticket booth is extremely mismanaged. The palace looks breathtakingly beautiful but the flimsy maintenance takes away it's awe and splendor.

Good for those who love paintings. Also it's a good place if you want yourself a best click. Do try audio book to listen to stories of paintings!

Palace is old and well maintained. The entrance ticket is a bit costly as it is privately owned. Avoid going on Sunday, it will be really crowded. They will provide you with an audio pod with ear phones. This will guide you through the place. You can collect it at the entrance desk.

The palace is a good place to visit, no doubt about that. The entry fee is not reasonable. U pay an entry fee, but you can't take photos inside. Guards come and scold u for taking photos. U can take an audio tour and stand near the spots marked by them and listen to the speciality of photos, decoration and many more things hung in the wall. Audio is available in many languages. It was crowded even at 3 pm. Outside the palace you can take nice photos near the windows and doors. Autos and cabs are available outside the palace. The garden is maintained outside the palace, where you can sit and relax. Monday is a holiday and everyday is open from 10 to 5.30. To get an audio tour, u have to submit one ID card which will be returned after returning the audio device. If the id card is not there, you can pay 2000rs and take a tour and it will be returned later.

The entry fee of 240₹ per person was not justified by the overall experience. The maintenance of the palace was subpar, and several rooms were closed off to visitors. There were also no displayed historical artifacts, such as swords or knives, which was disappointing. However, the audio device provided some interesting insights into the history of the palace and was a positive aspect. Overall, I would rate my experience as 3 out of 5 stars.

The facade of the palace is really beautiful and it is pretty much as it looks in photographs online. One can take a Metro to Cubbon Park Metro and then take a cab/auto directly to the palace. If you have a private vehicle, it'll be great. The palace is located on a massive plot of land, which is pretty much flat with few trees and a Rose garden in front of it. The palace itself is pretty well maintained but the lawns and gardens can be maintained better. We visited in March and the plants, bushes and flowers were withering. The caretakers must put in more effort to keep the lawns clean and maintain the garden better. The price of the ticket is Rs.240/- per person for Indians and Rs.480/- per person for residents of other countries. I found that on the higher side for 2 reasons: Most rooms in the palace are locked and you can view only a few rooms and the other reason is that although the palace is clean, the lawns and gardens are not, so one cannot spend too much time there. It would be fine if they did not charge so much. For the amount that you pay, you get an audio guide for which there will be a line, so be prepared to wait for 10-15 minutes. The staff are not too helpful either. With the audio guide, you can view a few rooms, lawns, paintings and learn about the history of the family that occupied the palace. That will last about 30 minutes post which there is nothing much to do. If there were more rooms on display, places to relax and sit in the lawns/gardens, Rs.240/- would seem reasonable. But it is not and I ended being disappointed.

An informative audio-visual tour across the palace makes it so much more intriguing known about the history and pride of the Bangalore Palace. Must visit with family and friends to take you down the past era of the city and how it came into being. Photography isn't allowed inside the Palace, but you can take your selfies and groupies outside with its picturesque architecture and garden. For nationals, the individual entry fee is Rs240/- and hence, you see only an interested crowd truly immersed in the experience it has to offer 😊

A quaint little English castle that was the summer/weekend home for the Maharaja of Mysore and his family. You get an audio tour that takes you through the palace. Huge parking space if you travel there in your own vehicle. No photography allowed inside the palace.

Was a rainy day in Bengaluru when we decided to explore some of the old time charm of the city. The palace tour was wonderful, it gave us a chance to understand what life was like as Kings and queens. Some of the art is so well curated and sourced. A definite must do if you don’t want to be lazy in front of the TV.

A beautiful and photogenic palace which is a prime destination for travellers who visit bangaluru. It is well maintained with all basic amenities inside. Free audio guide available without any extra charges. Ample parking space.

Bangalore Palace, a royal palace located in the heart of the city will truly blow your mind. This palace is filled with an interesting and eclectic collection of art. No photography area. You'll get a phone by the management to know about each and every part of the palace.

Looks nice from outside. Didn't go inside as recommended by locals. Ticket price is too high. Additional decoration was going on as there was a function for marriage ceremony reception of a VVIP. So garden was looking extra gorgeous

Had a great time at the place. There's an entry fee for Indian nationals as well as individuals of foreign descent. You'll still need to purchase an audio guide, though, as without it, you'll be just looking around the place clueless but beautiful nevertheless. There are gardens there too which are a great walk. However, not a plave where you'd spend hours and hours on end. You'll definitely need some company to take with you. Aah and apparently no photography allowed inside which is kind of loosely enforced.

Nice place to be there. The queues are a bit confusing while taking tickets. Both cash and card options are available. Better to use an audio guide to understand it's background and history. They will ask to deposit the original govt I'd and will return back once you are done with your tour. You can cover it in approx 2 hours.
