Excellent Thai food. Soups are delicious. The satay and the lettuce wraps are great if you’re not eating noodles.

V and I went here at noon for lunch. The restaurant wasn’t overly crowded and we were seated right away. I wasn’t overly impressed with the food. The restaurant is nice but the one word I would use to describe Lulu’s is-fussy. Presentation and aesthetic seem to reign supreme here and this includes the food. The plating is great and it all looks lovely. I was looking forward to trying the Thai Iced Tea and sadly that was pretty basic. The taste of everything was just okay. The food lacks spice, depth of flavor, and ultimately was some of the most mediocre Thai food I have ever had. We selected an order of crab rangoon, Vietnamese spring rolls, and spicy beef jantaboon for an entree. The crab rangoon was ok. The spring rolls were made with fresh ingredients, but were seriously lacking in flavor and the peanut sauce tasted more like I imagine wallpaper paste mixed with a teaspoon of peanut butter would taste. The spicy beef wasn’t spicy, it ate greasy, and was just meh. Lulu’s Thai Noodle Shop was okay, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone go here if they’re looking for good Thai food.

Restaurant was practically empty. was Blatantly ignored while waiting. Was told someone would be with me. Waited for like 20mins and eventually just left. Came to my car and the people who were supposed to “help me” were standing outside talking.

So good! Went for a late weekday lunch and had great service that was friendly and helpful. Thrilled to learn LuLu's has a "No Meat" menu with their usual vegetarian options as well as descriptions for how to modify some regular menu items - just ask for it when you're being seated. The avocado fries appetizer is indulgent and so delicious! The tofu Drunken Noodles are flavorful, the lunch portion very satisfying. Opted to upgrade from Crab Rangoon to a Vietnamese Spring Roll that was fresh and a nice crisp complement to the noodles. Plenty of options to adjust spicy/heat levels to your liking. Lots of natural light pours into the space, and the tables are large enough that you can comfortably enjoy a leisurely meal with friends. Update 5 years later: Still wonderful! Nice lunch menu, airy space with lots of natural light, great for meeting with 2-4 people, solid service. Worth a visit!

Had the Druken noodles and they were awesome. Great flavor. Oddly enough they were light on the noodles. Throw in a few more noodles for the big guys please🤣

First time visiting Lulu’s. The dumplings where delicious we decided to try both steamed and pan fried. From the seasonal menu we ordered the Coconut Shrimp and the sweet chili sauce is very flavorful. We loved the Thai Cashew Chicken. The Drunken Noodles and the Pad Thai were alright, they weren’t horrible just know to try something different next time I saw other items I would want to try.

I ordered the Drunken Noodles for takeout. Honestly, I think this is the most i have ever paid for this dish. Base price is $15 something and protein pushes it $20+. Most places I've had this same dish at barely pushes $10. So I was expecting something amazing... unfortunately this dish was beyond salty. It was really hard to cut through the salt to get to the underlying flavor. Hence the three stars... extremely expensive for unpalatable dish. Noodles and everything else had good texture. So unfortunate that it was so salty.

I’m always a sucker for delicious food, especially good curry and fried calamari. Lulu’s does both extremely well. In fact, I’d go so far as to argue they have the best fried calamari in KC. I have never had a bad experience at either of their locations and highly recommend you try the fried calamari and their curry dishes.

I've been eating here for years (both in restaurant and take out), and I'm a huge fan of Lulu's noodle dishes. But on my most recent visit, I decided to give the low carb options a try. I started with the satay, which included a variety of meat skewers, delicious sauces and a side bowl of tom yum soup. This was my first time trying the soup, and I will definitely order it again. For an entree I got the beef jantaboon. It's my long time favorite served with noodles, but it was just as good with Chinese broccoli rather than pasta. It came with garlic chili sauce that proved to be a perfect complement. This was also my first time trying anything from the bar. I had an Elephant Feather, which was a tasty, tart, gingery cocktail. The staff is excellent. The Westwood location does get a little noisy when it gets crowded, but come during a non-peak time and it's just fine.

I got the low carb satay plate with medium heat Tom Yum soup. I also got a milk tea boba. My best friend got the Drunken Noodles and we shared a Thai spring roll plate. Absolutely wonderful. I can't gush enough about it.

We were visiting KC for the weekend and my nickname growing up is Lulu and also I love Thai food. (Obviously we had to eat here) The staff was lovely and very attentive and it was a gorgeous space. Lots of plants and greenery made the space comfy and relaxing. I had the pad Thai and HANDS DOWN the best I've ever had. It will be a staple when we go down the visit.

Love their peanut rainbow noodles! Very tasty food, generous portions, and they accommodate any spice level. Great gluten free menu as well. My husband is celiac and has never gotten sick.

Overall taste was good but felt a little pricey.

I ordered the veggie dumplings and other exclusively vegan options. When I bit into one of the dumplings, there was meat inside. I definitely feel like I can't trust anything that comes out of this kitchen now

Are you sure I can't give them 10 stars? I go in almost every week during lunchtime. The food is awesome. The staff are SUPER AWESOME. I love going in. They seriously rock!!!

Either one you find yourself at, Lulu's will always provide an incredible meal no matter your tastes are. All I came in for was their Pan Fried Pork Wontons w/ chili sauce and that alone made me want to come back for more. A nice bonus about the spot is the quiet neighborhood its tucked away into with the patio seating they offer.

The atmosphere, and service was great. The server was friendly, and amazing. :) I was not impressed by the food... Everything was extremely bland, couldn't taste any spices, or seasoning. Couldn't taste the lemon grass, cilantro, lime, or any seasoning in the tom yum, tasted more like tomato juice than anything. Pad Thai (level hot) noodles were soggy, overall runny, bland, and not spicy at all, couldn't finish.

The service was great, the atmosphere is amazing, but ultimately the food is terrible. I've gotten more flavor from a PB&J. If you ask for hot it tastes mild and if you ask for mild there's zero sustenance. Its like eating unflavored oatmeal. My food personally was burnt, like they have seasonings and stuff on the table but nothing could hide the fact that as far as Thai places goes, this is overpriced atmosphere and a decent bar

I love LuLu’s but they missed the mark this time. I ordered the seasonal menu item Chicken with mushroom and soy sauce. The chicken was basically chicken fingers (which is fine I like white meat) with a rice batter which was nicely cooked. This dish fell flat on the sauce. The dish literally had no taste. It was very bland like it lacked any seasoning what so ever. I could not even taste the reported mushrooms nor soy. (Let alone find any mushrooms in the dish) Either the cooks did not know how to prepare this item or the recipe needs some additional time in the test kitchen. Either way…disappointing. I ended up using my excess Rangoon sauce and pouring it over my entree to give it some flavor. The dish is definitely 1 star but I still love LuLus which Is why I gave this visit a 3 star review.

Extraordinarily expensive for very average The Pad Thai is totally lacking in flavor ($20), a staple of any Thai restaurant. The crab fried rice was glutinous $24. Most surprising, the Massaman ($22l) curry is not even close to authentic. Cashew chicken ($21) was probably the stand out dish. $200 for 5 people, I guess this is what chain restaurants in KC serve up

Lulu's has been a regular dining experience since I first experienced it in Lawrence, KS almost 20 years ago. The Kansas City Lulus is now as good if not better. What once started out as a humble noodle shop has grown into a wonderful dining experience. Anything from mild to spicy should be ordered and savored. This spot provides well made entrees as well as appetizers and small eats. We're here at least once a month as a getaway from our usual KC BBQ.

Veggie Rangoon's and... Singapore chicken and noodles... ‍Chicken wok-tossed with eggs, scallions, yellow onions, bean sprouts, red & green bell peppers with house-blended curry mix, chili flakes & vermicelli noodles Very tasty at medium spicy! Got some leftovers for sure!

Stopped in for dinner with my mom and we loved it! 🙌 We had the Veggie Rangoon’s, Pad Thai, Egg Drop Soup and Skewers. Everything was fresh and flavorful! Highly recommend LuLus!

The food was all very tasty. The servers were nice and accommodating. A little overpriced, but that's to be expected, especially during the pandemic. No real complaints. I only dropped one star because it did lack flavor, and we expected a $6 slice of cake to be bigger.

Yummy Thai food! Huge portions. Loved the drunken noodles and beef basil. Great crab Rangoon and spring rolls, too. Interesting selection of craft beer. Will definitely return.

The food here is sooooo good and the patio is really pleasant now that the weather is warming up. My friends have been telling me about this place for years and I finally found the time. Boy were they right!

The food was wonderful. My partner has the Pad Thai and I had the Pineapple Shrimp Fried Rice. We also shared Crab Rangoon, which I really enjoyed with that added sesame I'm the filling and tasty dipping sauce. Only downside was it was very loud, so couldn't really talk, since we couldn't hear each other

Jennifer took care of us on our visit and she was wonderful. The food was delicious so come hungry. It is worth the drive from Country Club Plaza. Can’t beat the price for the food quality. Excellent Staff.

Best Pad Se Eu I’ve had. It was light and tasty. The rainbow noodle was much heavier though so heads up on that one

We used to love lulus but received takeout delivery via DoorDash tonight and the $20 yellow curry dish had enough for about 3 bites, about 1/3 of the portion that we would have gotten a year ago. Really sad bc the food is otherwise delicious and was our go to spot.
