As I was washing my hands after hooking up our rig, I took off my wedding ring and set it on our site's picnic table. And then promptly forgot it. Didn't realize it was missing until we were home four hours away. I called the next day and Peggy answered, told her what happened and she immediately went to our site to look for it. And she called me back right away saying she'd found it! She promised to mail it back to me and I got it a few days later. Now that's customer service. Our pull-through site required little leveling, the shore power was stable and steady, good water pressure and an excellent wi-fi signal. It is convenient to the interstate (good) but there is traffic noise (not so good) but they even offer free earplugs when you check in! We enjoyed our weekend stay and will be back.

We just needed a place for a night and laundry. No coin machine so the laundry was a bust. Pool was a mess, but it was out of season. Shower drain was clogged. Site was not level. Its was easy to find, had good and easy access, and the staff answered the phone after 5pm. Not up to usual KOA standards from our experiences at other KOA.

Really nice, close to shops while still feeling like you're camping in the woods. Well lit and well cared for, no wild animals to scare the little ones. Theres a good sized k9 park for your pups to run and a playground for the littles. The bathroom and laundry rooms are kept clean, cute cabins to rent also available. The couple running it have been super nice, helping us as we're on our 1st rv trip. Definitely would recommend!

This was our first time EVER setting up our travel trailer, our maiden voyage as they say. They staff there were incredibly helpful and supportive as we set up the travel trailer for the first time. They checked on us at least 3 times the first day to make sure we were doing ok! I really appreciated that. The noise from the interstate is present, be aware of that when you book. This is a great place to set up for visiting the area. I wouldn't pick this place for a camping experience.

If you're seeking a quick overnight conveniently off of 40 with clean bathrooms and pleasant staff, than this is your place. Extremely pricey for what is offered, however. Bathroom, sites and pool were all clean and well maintained. Staff was great. Sites had electric water and sewer. Sites were small and pretty much all gravel. Pool was small. Right off the highway so you hear everything. No other amenities beyond a small playground. If you're looking for an extended camping trip, move on to something else. If you need a rest stop on steroids....this will do.

Good place to stop at for a night. Conveniently right next to the highway and very quick to get into the city. People there are friendly and helped us find our spot when we got there. Sites seem to be a bit unlevel though, so keep that in mind with the sewer hookup. We could hear/see the highway from our spot but that didn’t bother us - it was good white noise for sleeping! WiFi is spotty. Would stop here again if we were driving through.

Nice friendly staff, very helpful. Grounds kept clean. It's close to the highway, but most "Journeys" are. Most all sites are level and have plenty of room. Their WiFi is 5G and the best I've ever come across in any campground!... We will definitely stay here again on our way back thru!

We just purchased our RV so wanted do an overnight locally first. We went here and is the worst RV place I have ever seen. Was around 10% full which tells you something. Also asked if could move our reservation since was pouring down to the following Monday night. Said no but do understand they were not going to be full so would of lost no money. Anyway I want to camp local for our first outing but would never at this spot.

Have stayed there several times. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Had tire problems so they made sure I got a site that I could stay an extra day if needed. Great journey koa

Careful, they will change how much the rate is monthly. You’ll settle in and they will act like they never said it will be less next month or the next. Most of the staff is super nice, but there’s one that is incredibly rude to the point of I’d rather just pack up and go. Bombarding people in the laundry room, complaining about headlights when it was just running lights, and even if it was headlights they were pointed at nothing and not shining into anyone’s campers. Geez, just hold out for the next campground on I-40.

We were only here for one night on our way to the beach, but it was a wonderful campground. Our site was quiet and offered some shade, plus there was a nice walking path through the woods, a decent pool and a 24 hour laundry. The camp store was stocked with an assortment of last minute supplies and the staff was very friendly. I also give them extra points for the welcome goody bag at check-in, it was a very nice touch and very appreciated.

The folks who work here are hard working and diligent. The bathrooms were always spotless, and the water pressure and temp of the shower worked for us. The ceiling in the bathroom is in need of repair, but that didn't affect our ability to get a good shower. We were here during a weird weather week that went from highs in the low 80s to lows in the high 20s. We're grateful to say that we didn't experience any issues with any services at all. The laundry room is big for a park this size, and the prices reasonable. I brought my own quarters and products, but there is a well stocked camp store right there if you need anything. And if they don't have what you want there's a Dollar Tree very close by. The traffic on the interstate didn't bother us most of the time, but we also work from our RV and spend a lot of time in headphones. The office will give you earplugs, if you want some. (And they gave us a treat bag when we arrived, too, which was unexpected and very nice.) Because we work from the road, we have hotspots for three major carriers and they all had blazing fast speeds here. Propane is available right at the entrance/exit, so it's super convenient. Overall, this is a good park for travelers on the move. We stayed for six nights and were ready to get back into the woods when it was time to go. Oh, the spouse says to deduct a star for unlevel sites - and that's fair, but also a fixable problem. So, I'm putting it back because it's clear the people running this place are working hard and ultimately everything was fine. They even sell blocks in the store if you need some which is something I've not seen at other campgrounds. We were pretty close to everything that we needed and wanted to do in Greensboro.

Very nice campground! Such a pleasant welcome from staff, including a β€œgoodie bag”.Bathhouse was very clean, sites were fine, the best Wi-Fi in all our travels. Close to highway (we didn’t notice the noise; it was fine!) Store had assortment of snacks. A good overall experience.

Stayed here for an extended stay (about 6 months) while traveling in the area for work. As others have said, the noise is the only negative I can agree with - but inside of your camper it is barley noticed. That said, the location is extremely convenient being so close to the interstate. This is a Journey KOA, not a resort so therefore the amenities align accordingly. They have a dog park, pool, office/store, playground, etc. This campground is well maintained, staff visible throughout campground. Definitely would return if I end up back in the area!

This is a really nice KOA Journey the bathrooms were a bit dated but very clean and tidy. The are is well cared for and it was very easy to get in and out with our 30 foot RV. This RV park is a Journey and is right off the freeway but they do provide ear plugs which keep it quiet for sleeping. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we would easily stay here again.

A small well kept KOA. We had Site 22, which was 60 feet, enough for our motorhome. Front desk was very welcoming and escorted us to the site. The site was nice and level. It rained the next day, and I can see where the drainage isn't great in some places. Road noise - yes, but you are right next to 40. 5G Wifi is wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

We had a wonderful time for the 3 nights we stayed. Yes it is next to the highway but it was not a problem for me and my family. The staff was VERY friendly which made our stay very comfortable. There is a trail which we did not take advantage of on this trip. Site 68 is a pull-thru which was perfect for our 31 ft travel trailer. We will returnπŸ₯°

Another great KOA!! Easy check-in process. It's a little noisy outside but it's right on the highway so that's expected. From inside, you don't even hear it as it sounds like white noise! The staff were super....I had to have my Jeep jumped 2 mornings in a row and instead of waiting for AAA for 1 1/2 hours, I asked the guys here if they could jump the Jeep.... it was done in 15 minutes!! I even got directions to the nearest auto store to buy a new battery!! Great service and nice little campground!!!

This is a perfectly good place for an overnight or if you have activities in Greensboro. Sites are nowhere near level. Thankfully they had blocks for us to buy to help. But the pool was fun for the kids and there was plenty of space to walk the dog. Sites are long but narrow mostly and everywhere I went had loud highway noise. The bathrooms are old but very clean. We didn't shower in them, so I can't speak to the water pressure. Super close to restaurants, shops and downtown. Great location if you can handle the noise!

Well the staff is super friendly. Nothing negative to say about them. However, this is the worst campground I've ever stayed in. We booked 3 nights. I paid $95.98 each night for Friday and Saturday and $86.98 for Thursday night. It was basically a field with a parking lot. You can see the interstate traffic from your rv. We were there for a track and field competition. The second night we opted to stay in the parking lot at the track.

This place is a hidden gem. Right off of I40, but in the trees. You can hear the road traffic but not bad. They are doing upgrades to open more sites. Great dog park, have two enclosures. Play area for kids. Good place to spend the night with your camper if you are between destinations. Friendly staff, lots of camper needs for sale in store in case you need a new set hose, or even an air circulator for your fridge! Country setting in the city, love it here!

This KOA needs loads of TLC. The park is run down. The person at the office was very nice and helpful. It was a great location very close to I-40 the traffic noise didn't bother us at all. The sights are tight your camping right on top of each other. The grass was up to our knees. The dog park was pea gravel this is not very sanitary. The sights were so out of level it was crazy like 4+in or more. It is quite costly for a place that has no real Amenities (pool was closed due to it being Oct). We would not camp here again if in the area.

Staff was friendly and location was easy enough to find however this park is extremely overpriced for what you get. My pull through site was more like a pull into and back out due to how close the sites are. The female restroom is outdated. The shower stalls are missing ceiling tiles which lets a draft in and then the water didn’t even get hot after waiting for 10 minutes. I gave up on my shower adventure. I only stayed here one night, but overall extremely disappointed. Usually with KOA I don’t mind paying the higher price not for this location.

Called at 3 pm to see about availability for the night. Was directed to make reservations on line. We did reluctantly, as there was no flexibility in making arrangements over the phone. $85. Followed directions to campground from this KOA campground website on two different gps phone programs and 2020 Ram pickup GPS did not recognize the address or the campground. We were directed wayoff course. Called 2 hrs later to get claifications on the directions, and realized we were too far off to make it feasible to stay at this campground. Requested refund. Denied. Firmly. Follow up phone call the next morning confirmed the campground was not full. No give on a what was basically a 'place hold' for a 2 hour period. $85. Literally highway robbery and a stain on KOA. Common decency has gone out the window in this world we live in

My experience... Nice people at the desk. Campsites too close together. Broken concrete around sewer pipe was a bit of a eye sore. Others around me seem to have no issues.

This Koa is small but it looks as if they may be expanding soon. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The biggest issue I had was the highway noise. But if you are just stopping for a night, it is easy to access from the highway and the noise isn't bad inside your rv. Great access to Greensboro events from this location.

The campgrounds were clean and easily accessible. Outside of highway noise it was great stay. Suggestion: maybe put some trees along highway area to help cut down noise?

Stayed Sept 2022. Very nice campgrd. Very friendly staff and well marked with directions. Laundry room was ok. Helpful with getting TV reception. I would stay again. BUT I did wonder why they had free ear plugs. We were right beside the interstate and it was noisy.

  • 3/5 Bob G. 8 months ago on Google
Sites are pretty small. Located tight on busy Hwy so its pretty noisy. Front Office was closed @ 4:00 pm. No change machines in Laundry or Soap for purchase. On site caretaker was nice and brought us firewood since the office was closed. Property and baths were clean. Overall, one of the more disappointing KOA’s we’ve visited. Next time we will probably stay somewhere else.

Helpful on the phone. Right off freeway for 1 night while traveling. Pool was green. The women's restroom was outdated but the biggest concern was the open ceiling tiles directly above the showers. Was there a camera? A peeping Tom? I'll never know. So uncomfortable showering. Very inappropriate for privacy. I asked in the office about the tiles. The person said they are going to replace the whole roof at some point. Regardless of the roof....I could have had the tile replaced in 10 minutes. Super creepy. Office smells of cat urine. Store well stocked.

Very nice, clean campground. Friendly staff. Fairly small compared to the other 4 we've stayed at recently. There were 2 bathhouses but the one toward the rear of the park (closest to us) was undergoing renovations so we had to walk toward the front. Not ideal but we managed. The restroomis attached to the office and was clean and wide enough to walk by someone else. The women's restrooms had a rare 6 toilet stalls and the usual 3 showers. There was a laundry facility also attached to the back of the office. Plenty of washers and dryers for the size park. There is a newly painted red and yellow train caboose on the property but it's solely for looks. This campground is right off the highway so you will hear highway noise but they offer ear plugs at the front desk. There was a small playground with a couple swings, a slide. A rock climbing wall, a rope wall. And a tree house. It was close to our tent site so that was nice. Most everyone had a dog there and there was a dog designated park. Each site had what seemed like 2 picnic tables. It was very helpful for us!
