Okay, let’s admit it you are going to go here regardless of how many stars this is rated. But I need to be honest. There is the endless walk from the car to the actual park. Then you spend half your day waiting in lines. That is unless you buy the express pass on top of the already insanely priced ticket price. We enjoyed taking it slow. This does not mean we did not get annoyed at times. It is Florida. It is hot. Don’t forget your sunscreen. I can’t tell you how many people were hurting with sunburns. Also, it rains. When it does, some rides shut down. They shutdown even when you think they shouldn’t. Your opinion of rain does not matter. This can be frustrating when there is a 60 minute wait and you are 45 minutes into the wait! Some lockers are free, some are not. The ones for the water rides are NOT! Everything is expensive, but the water fill ups are free. BONUS!!!! You can find gluten and dairy free options in many of the restaurants. Just ask. It is best to get to the restaurant before the crowds so you can ask for their options.

Pretty fun! I think it’s a great place to experience maybe once. If with small children, maybe more fun but it’s a once and done kind of thing for me personally. The park was very cool and fun to walk through! Attractions and rides were mostly visual ones, where you sit and it virtually takes you through a ride - so it’s not like a normal park with big, outlandish rides. Very family friendly and not bad for an amusement park overall. Would recommend especially if you have younger children!

They have figured out how to give their guests a perfect experience. The parks are beautiful and the staff are all on point. You shouldn't need more than a few days to visit both sides of the park and the city walk area. The rides are thrilling and a lot of fun. The Harry Potter world and castle are out of this world. Be sure to get a park hopper and take the train between Kings Cross and Hogsmead. If you're lucky enough to be there around Christmas time, the Grinch is on point and will be sure to make sure the wait in line is worth it.

Excelent!!! It is very funny and great park specially when you go with you little one and take him the place you have been when you were a kid and see him get amazed the same way when you were a kid. We enjoyed even if we couldn't get in many rides because the park was pack and some rides had delays. We got our annual passes so we will be able to come back soon.

This is a great place to visit. Be sure to give enough time to get it all in. There is a lot of walking between islands of adventure and universal area. If you like roller coasters, don't miss Hagrids motor bike. You can get express passes for a single day and get them all in if you plan it out some. The food is not cheap but never is at theme parks. There are plenty of clean bathrooms and friendly staff to help you out with your questions. Character meet and greets. Lots of 3 d rides are amazing. Don't skip the shows they are great as well. The monster makeup show was super funny and would recommend you see. I was very happy overall and would do again. 10 out of 10 Park.

My wife is a fan of Harry Porter. We covered all HP tours and experiences and we loved them. We visited the park on Christmas Day and we did wait for long on many rides, except the HP motor bike experience. I don’t recommend buying the express pass on busy days as we will miss some important parts of experience if we go through the express lines. I did not like the directions to parking, was confusing. Good food and lot of things to do. I recommend the Transformers Ride as well the King Kong experience.

We chose to go on a weekday before everyone went on their Holiday Winter/Christmas vacation. Parking is currently $27 for regular parking before 6pm, but they were offering free parking if you saw a matinee movie at Universal City Walk. So we sidetracked our plans to see a movie that day before going to the theme park. Glad we did!! "Ghostbusters Afterlife" was awesome!! I thought that movie was the best one out of all of them. After our wonderful movie, we leisurely headed out to the theme park. Didn't have to fall in long lines for the rides. This is how a theme park should be!!! To top it off, we had great weather the whole time, and you had the choice of wearing a protective mask or not. The Holiday parade was cute, and we loved the water fountain/fireworks show at the closing of the park. We just wished the parks stayed open longer. Closing 1 park at 7pm, and the other park at 8pm is too early. Universal Studio website was not updated properly of their park hours.

First visit was 7 years ago thinking it was a one and done and been most years since with the exception of the travel restrictions 2020-2021. I find Universal more friendly for solo travellers compared to Disney where I felt lost amongst the numbers and families. Making the most of the early entry when staying on site, I was able to achieve a lot before the wait times got too much, then either chill in the park with the entertainment or head back to the hotel to chill by the pool before heading back to fit in some nighttime. Staff members are amazing and I have been lucky enough to have some amazing experiences at the parks including being a balloon bearer for the Macy’s Holiday Parade. I can not recommend the parks enough and I am excited for the future expansion when Epic Universe is added to the parks available in the Orlando area.

Always a great place to spend the day! Lots of food choices, definitely will cost a good amount of money to eat while there. If it's feasible, bring a bag/backpack with some basic supplies such as water and snacks. Small lockers are free and will definitely not fit a backpack, and the larger lockers that will accommodate backpacks you can rent for a short period of time for $2. The Rock It roller coaster is intense, absolutely love it!!

I loved Universal, I haven’t been there in the last 6 years because I thought my kids were to small for the rides but I can tell you that I was wrong because they really enjoyed the parks and they are 7 and 6. We as a family ditched Disney after this trip to Universal, we even bought annual passes. They came with a lot of benefits, like fast passes after 4 PM. Universal parks are less crowded than Disney’s plus I don’t like the path Disney has gone, especially for my kids. This visit was on Thanksgiving week but we return on Christmas week because we had an awesome trip and the kids wanted to return.

Very expensive but a very special place. Myself and my daughter loved every minutes of it. A few tips for those thinking of traveling: 1. Bring your own food and snacks to the park with you. At the time of writing, a 500ml bottle of water was $5.50 2. If you know in advance you will be getting photos within the park (3 or more), consider purchasing the photo pass 3. If your budget permits, purchase Express pass tickets before you travel. I purchased 2, 5 day express pass tickets (which included entry to the park) for $760 each. You will save a lot of time accessing rides using these 4. Purchase a neck fan. You won't regret it 5. If you suffer from chafing, get yourself some cycle shorts before you go. These were a game changer 😂 I'm sure there is more but these would be my go too if I was to travel there again.

We were here on a Thanksgiving weekend and it was fully packed, which we expected. There was a huge wait for Harry Potter and Minions rides. But, other than that, the lines moved fairly quicker. This was our first experience with 3D rides and we just loved it! The Vertical Roller Coaster is one hell of a ride. So as the Revenge of the Mummy. Transformers, Minions, The Jimmy Fallon show and Simpsons and the parades were all fun. It's a very happening place and covering everything in 1 day may be a bit tight. Plenty of Food options available. But they are priced high as one would expect in any amusement park. There's a plenty of walking to be done. So, be prepared for it. Overall, it's a great place which one should visit and experience at least once.

Love the concert, but I'm not a huge fan of 3D rides. They only have one real roller coaster. That I could tell, anyway. Thankfully, we weren't here for the experience, but rather for Rock the Universe. Awesome bands and an awesome time. Highly recommend for that reason, alone! Lots of food options that are really good, and we enjoyed the chicken sandwich in the Harry Potter area.

Had a Wonderful time. Rained all day long, no let up. But we came with water proof shoes, jacket and pants. Had a good meal at The Three Brooms check out pictures. Loved all the rides. Did some a couple of times. Did everything in one day. Friendly Staff all through the park, very professional.

Took our 2 young children (10 & 8) to both parks using a 2 park 2 day hopper pass. Universal Studios was a bigger hit for our kids than Islands of Adventure so we spent more time there. Great atmosphere, and amenities in both parks. The Jimmy Fallon ride is fantastic and was a popular one with us. Disappointed with The Bourne Ride. Having been in the past when it was Terminator 2 it was not a patch on it. Still love The ET ride for a nostalgic point of view. City Walk was great to wander and the fantastic weather helps.

The Non-Private VIP experience is worth the extra amount you pay. The ability to see parts of the park you would not otherwise see, you are fed two full meals (breakfast and lunch - these are quality meals presented in professional and friendly manner ) and there is reserved seating to watch the parade at the end of your tour, are just some of the reasons this tour is worth the money. You also get 10% off throughout Universal for the rest of the day, which is nice too, since you have been eyeball shopping through the day as you toured the park and rode the rides. Our Tour Guide Jen was fantastic! Friendly, joyful, knowledgeable, funny, energetic, and all around she just seemed to really love and appreciate her job. We were able to ride all the major rides with little to no wait time and when Jen discovered that one in our group could not do the rides and was looking for more of a Universal Hollywood experience Jen, Jen's supervisor, and a colleague of Jen's went the extra mile to accommodate the guest. Jen was intentional about understanding the likes and dislikes of our group and to see that each person had a special, individual moment during the day. Our last ride of the day was the ET ride (which as someone who was born in 76' I had a full appreciation for this ride and it was a great way to wind down an otherwise exhilarating day) and Jen had ET say bye to each of us by name! It was terrific and such a nice personal touch. After this experience, you aren't going to want to do this any other way than the VIP way. You can easily spend the same money on food and souvenir in a day, this way gets you on the rides, without waiting, with meals included, designated space for the parade, and 10% off throughout Universal...it's worth it. Date of experience: December 2023

We had the most awesome time! We will def be back next year, maybe even a 2 day ticket! Love the shade they have for when you need it and wait lines are somewhat short and are shaded or air conditioned. Parking was a breeze and not a far walk either. So many great attractions and shops. This place really was fun for our whole family

Enjoyed visiting 4 times this holiday and I can't say enough about Universal Studios!!!! The lovely people working here who made all of the experiences possible, the covid protocols in place to ensure safety, the cleanliness of the entire park, the wonderful atmosphere. I want to give some shout outs to Finnegan's - Kevin, Scott, Shane and Johnny. It's amazing how 4 days could create 4 totally different, fantastic experiences. Can't wait to go back again soon. The cinematic spectacular at the end of the evening over the lake is just mind blowing!!

We did the VIP Experience at Universal Studios and it was amazing. It is definitely worth the cost. Your day starts with Valet parking, right at the door of City Walk, exiting in the evening takes about 2 minutes and your on the highway. You go and meet your guide and they set-you up at the VIP only restaurant for a buffet breakfast. Very good! The experience through the park is calm and relaxing. We don't have to run from one attraction to the other. We walk peacefully and were able to get 14 rides in 2 parks (Universal and Island of Adventure). The no wait for rides is so worth-it. Lunch was very good and also included. Going behind the scenes with our guide is really cool and we get to learn so many things and history about the park. I will definitely do this again.

I really liked it. All rides were different and I experienced the latest 3D and 4D rides for the first time. My favorites were Transformers and New York with Jimmy Fallon, although I've never seen Transformers and am not a Fallon fan. I also really enjoyed the Born show! They mixed acting with technology, and at some point I stopped understanding what is real and what is not. Very cool! Full immersion! We were there on December 24, 2022, Christmas Eve. It was FREEZING, but still a good amount of people. Also, I LOVED the Chistmas Parade! It was simply wonderful, even we all, guests and performers, were freezing. I loved the animal show - they had the cutest dogs, cats and even a pig. Adorable!! Very good experience over all. However, at the entrance they took our finger prints. I found it overstepping power and kind of creepy. 🤨

This was my first trip to Universal Studios Islands of Adventure and I loved everything about the park. All the rides and food were absolutely amazing! I am a big fan of both Harry Potter and Jurassic Park so I really enjoyed spending most of my time in both areas. The only complaint I have is I feel like Universal does not communicate with their guest as well as they should. Being this was my first time Here I've been looking forward to this trip since I booked my tickets in January. When I made the purchase in January I went through the Universal website and booked both my ticket and room. Unfortunately, I could only do the 1 park 1 day ticket because of work. At the time of booking the ticket I was told the park closed at 10pm. I traveled from NC yesterday so when I got to the hotel they didn't even know I was a guest and put me in a room that I didn't even pick out while booking. Also, that night I kept looking at the app to see when the park opens and closes for Saturday and to my surprise I see it says 6pm. So I called customer service and they confirmed that yes 6pm was correct instead of 10pm because of a private event. Never was I notified that a private event had been booked and the hours were changing because had I known I would have changed my park day. The customer service agent offered to change my park day but I'm leaving Sunday so I couldn't change it around. I said all that to say that in an event that the park hours are going to be cut please notify your guest ahead of time, at least 2 weeks in advance , so arrangements can be made so that the ticket I paid full price for I get to enjoy all my hours in the park. I was looking forward to riding rides at night and see the castle light show and now I have to miss those experiences because a lack of communication.

The best theme parks! It gets busy, so go early and prepare to wait. If it's your vacation, try to get express passes for the rides you want to ride because a 2 hour wait is very common, sometimes longer, for the more popular rides. Spend lots of time taking in the details though, the attention to them is incredible!

Wonderful presentation for the holidays, the shops, shows and entertainment were all on point. Staff, merchants and performers had beautiful tailored attire, which was much appreciated. The Christmas tour was awesome with plenty of private encounters. We enjoyed the treats, The Grinch and Santa. Harry Potter Castle Display ended our evening perfectly. The park is full of adventures, shopping, character meetings and delicious food. This made our time enjoyable and we felt special at each new place. Our family enjoys the holidays so all the lights, ornaments and special events made this the perfect destination for us this year. Highly recommended you will find something for everyone.

We had such a great time. We had a flight to catch at 5 pm so we took a quick morning trip. We arrived at 8 and were there until 2:30. We were able to get on at least 5 rides and even had time to shop for some souvenirs. This location is very different than the California location. So I highly recommend you check it out!

First time to universal and it was a lot of fun. It's not just for kids. It's a lot of rides that are very interactive and entertaining, even for adults. They have a large variety of food which is great because you're going to want to be there all day. The food is a little pricey for what you get but it's decent quality. I would recommend checking it out and will definitely come back for another visit.

Taking the kids to Universal (Island of Adventure) for their first time was definitely a wonderful experience. We all had a great time, enjoyed most of the shows, and literally spent the whole day at the park. At night, the show was beautiful to too. Everybody was waiting for the Harry Potter castle to light up, and when it finally happened, the crowd went crazy specially the kids, like they couldn't believe what they were seeing. I would definitely go again soon and also visit the other parks as well. But overall, Island of Adventure is my favorite Universal park.

Had such a great time here more positive than negative points. The best time to visit would be week day non school holidays. Queue times for the rides were not too bad when we visited. It seems the place has been designed to keep everything cool, and fans and light water is sprayed in the air, making it much more comfortable than Disney. Negatives are there are not many places to sit down and relax it is go go go all the time which is fine being young and healthy. But some may want to take some breaks which could prove difficult. There are very minimal food outlets to grab something on the go, I imagine this is intentional to prevent littering, etc. Unless you fancy bakery goods or Starbucks, there's nothing else really unless you want to go for a sit-down meal, which in 30 plus degrees isn't great. Sometimes, you'd prefer a light snack. I was surprised that the city walk area where all the food outlets were very small and queue time was crazy. I thought America was all about fast food, but there was absolutely nothing fast or friendly about the service here, which was surprising, really. But non the less due to it being a quiet period, it was manageable. I dread to see what it's like in a high season.

This place will always have a special place in my heart. Sure, it's pricey and there was continuous rain ALL DAY during our visit, but that didn't stop us from having an amazing time! The attention to detail around every corner and the level of immersion from Park-to-Park, ride-to-ride, restaurants to even the bathrooms is incredible! From someone who manages another Park, I hope customers appreciate how much is packed into your experience for the price. When my kids are older, I can't wait to see their reaction as they enter the imaginative world of Universal!

We only attended the island of adventure park and it was fun! Harry Potter area was awesome to see. Wait times weren’t too bad today- I think the longest wait line today was 80 minutes which I didn’t think was bad for a Sunday- some lines were only 10-20min wait! Everything down to the details of everything was so cool to see. Recommend the hulk roller coaster- if you have motion sickness definitely take something before you start going on rides!

This park was great. It is not as large (or doesn't feel like it ) as the other side. It has q Harry Potter ride and wand experience. Harry Potter area is super fun. The rock n Rollercoaster was great. The park was clean. The employees were friendly. Most of the day the lines were not too bad. At 6pm it got super crowded and busy.

Amazing experience. Would suggest going with older children. (It’s my understanding that Disney is more set up for little ones) Highly recommend the refill cups - $20 for first day, $12 subsequent days - over 100 different drink options. To buy a single coke is over $4…so for the 5 of us this quickly added up. Ice & water is freely available throughout the park. Taking our own lunch kept the overall cost down. We went the latter half of August once the American students were back at school…we did not have an express pass nor early entry & we didn’t wait over an hour for any ride. The queue builds the excitement/story for the ride. Highly recommend a visit.

Cool place! We were delighted. Buy fast passes to both parks. The best rides are with Harry Potter)) Go on them first, ride them several times, and then explore everything else. Stay until the evening, walk around the park in the dark. And then go to the embankment near the Hard Rock Cafe, it’s very beautiful there.

A very entertaining theme park with characters and shows from some of the most popular big screen to small screen favorites. Excellent entertainment for families with younger children. And they do have a great coaster that is absolutely awesome. Entry is very expensive at the gates so please make sure to buy tickets beforehand. Food and drink is very affordable inside with great fast and friendly service. All staff inside is always extremely helpfull, friendly and a pleasure to deal with and will make your day better.

Came here to add more fun family time and excitement for a special 21st birthday celebration. We focused more exploring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter because we're huge fans. You can explore both worlds in a day, but it felt a but rushy because of the closing hours of the parks. Other then that you can expect a crowd no matter the season (*my family and I were there mid January). The places to eat or grab a treat at the park/parks is endless. Since we focused venturing the Harry Potter Worlds, the restaurants, treat shops, etc were all super tasty and delicious! We had the best time ever. I wish Universal would extend their park hours so visitors don't feel rushed to explore more. But... you bet we'll be definitely going back soon! The rides are thrilling and fun! *Tip: expect to pay $2 for bigger lockers. This is for big bags/backpacks on some rides. Using your ticket barcode you can get a small locker free. (Ex: Small lockers fit smaller items like small bags or mini backpacks)

Best amusement park in the world! We had such a good time. Every single ride we got on was definitely worth the wait. We went on the weekend before Halloween it was not a long wait for the lines. Staff are very friendly and always helpful when we asked for directions. Would definitely return to Universal.

Today was very much better than the raining day at island of adventure yesterday. Today was filled with excellent excitement with shows and indoor rides. Harry potter was Exquisite with all the shopping and shows and rides to offer. The food was great today too. There was plenty for my young kids too do here. You really don’t need a express pass here, I guess it depends on the crowd, but we got there early and was able to ride everything and see multiple shows today without a express pass. See you next year.

I had a great time. It's best to get there early. We bought the ultimate pass an it was the best decision I ever made. We were able to go to two parks in one day and the wait was never over 25 minutes for any rides definitely worth the price. Bring your own lanyard for your pass or purchase one at the park for 8 to 10 dollars. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The staff was friendly that was a plus.

It was my first time at Halloween Horror Nights and it was a very fun and thrilling experience! My favorite part about it was the stage show! It was INCREDIBLE!!! I was in so much awe at their performance! It is so much better than “Mickey’s Not So Scary” event. Our favorite houses were the Last of Us and Stranger Things. All of the costumes were cool! Will definitely be coming back next year!

My family loves Universal. Great for all ages and levels of thrill seekers. Many of my kids don’t coaster but they still love getting immersed in their favorite stories. We have ages 5-15 plus grandma and grandpa and we are able to enjoy it as a family. I highly recommend getting a park to park pass for full access to the world of Harry Potter. I’d also recommend 3 days for first time park goer. This gives you one day per park and an extra to get what you missed or just do your favorites! Wear tennis shoes (lots of walking) and bring a change of clothes for the water ride 😉. Also check out the shows! They’re fun, air conditioned, and give you a chance to just sit. (Bourne/Horror)

This continues to be my favorite park but this visit was for Halloween Horror Night's event which I've been attending for quite sometime. I have to say even though they keep raising tickets prices this year proved to me why I'm willing to pay. This year was awesome; I loved every house and the scare actors were giving me all the energy. Staff did an amazing job. The quality and details are insuperable. Thanks Universal for another great run.

Great park. Shows, entertainment and rides what more could you want.. Shops? Plenty of them to. Good food and would recommend getting a crepe from the central park entrance. Most ride times are under 60 minutes Don't forget Halloween horror nights, really good night.

Went to the park on the Friday after Thanksgiving. It was not super crowded. It was easy to get seated at a restaurant for lunch, and the lines were not terribly long. They decorated nicely for the holiday season. Con: If you have mobility issues and use a scooter, they will randomly move it while you are on rides and not tell you. We found this to be a huge problem, especially in the Harry Potter sections. The frustration and anxiety this caused resulted in the only 3 star rating.

  • 4/5 The E. 4 months ago on Google
I love Universal World. All the rides were awesome. I just wish the Fast & Furious were a little longer. Lines are very long on all rides. And might I suggest to bring your own lunch. Foods are extremely overpriced. If you pay for the just the day pass. Do all the rides to make the $200.00 price tag worth. It took me so long to go there. It took a lot of convincing from family members. I’m more of a nature person and didn’t think I would enjoy it. It was awesome! Will do it again and explore all the parks. You will save on tickets if you order them online ahead of time. And tickets are cheaper if you stay in the hotels or air bnb inside the universal.

As military members we were able to purchase yearly passes at the Navy Exchange for 2 parks. Amazing!! We ended up using them on Universal and Adventure Island, several days in a row. The park was absolutely perfect for our kids ages 6-11, and on one of the days, we even brought our toddler and baby with us and they even had a blast. The toddler spent the day riding around, watching live performances and the baby took naps while we walked around and ate outdoors. The rides for the older kids were 3-D and extremely immersive! We felt the heat of fire blasting in front of us, water being sprayed, air rushing past us as we experienced simulated rides that were incredibly thought out. Harry Potter of course was amazing but we found the Spider Man and Transformers rides to be as impressive. The app helped us plan out our move around the park with so many littles because it told us up to-date wait times for all the rides. We were able to squeeze in a visit to the park even on the day we had a 10hr drive home thanks to the app!
